Alex Davis

Alex Davis (Japanese: ノボル Noboru) is a Pokémon Trainer and a one-time character who appeared in Power Play!.

Announcing himself as "Alex Davis from Cherrygrove City", he challenged Gary Oak to a Pokémon battle using his Alakazam. However, Gary was able to defeat Alex without much trouble. Ash, Misty, and Brock, who just walked nearby, saw the battle, leading to another encounter between Ash and his rival.

Alakazam
Alex faced Gary's Umbreon with his Alakazam, leading in with Zap Cannon. Umbreon managed to avoid it and a few other attacks, as well as withstanding Alakazam's Psychic attack and seeing through its Double Team. It was defeated in the end by Umbreon's Hidden Power and was recalled by Alex with praise.

Alakazam's known moves are Zap Cannon, Psychic, Headbutt, Dynamic Punch, Double Team, Teleport, and Hyper Beam.
