Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis On the S.S. St. Flower to Slateport City, the mysterious disguising thief Brodie returns and steals the Ribbon Cup, which forces officials to cancel the Grand Festival! Now Ash and friends must get the Ribbon Cup back and save the Grand Festival! Not only that but Team Rocket decide to go after it as well.

The gang realize that they will need to find some way to force Brodie out. Officer Jenny has an idea and quickly spray paints a Poké Ball calling it the first Golden Poké Ball. Ash and friends then begin spreading the word to everywhere hoping that Brodie will hear at least one of them and will decide to steal the Poké Ball.

Our heroes regroup back at the same place where the ball was stolen. They then hear someone coming and hide. Team Rocket disguised as bell hops try to steal the ball, but our heroes catch them in the act. They then reveal themselves only for Pikachu to send them blasting off. Our heroes are shocked that wasn't Brodie trying to steal the ball.

Suddenly the captain appears and states to Officer Jenny that Brodie is attacking the Pokémon Center. May realizes that all her Pokémon are there. The gang rush off to there only to meet the captain again, who claims he just got back from the Pokémon Center. The gang realize the captain earlier was an imposter.

The fake captain is about to steal the Poké Ball when Jenny orders him to stop and reveal himself. Brodie notes they are persistent and immediately throws away his disguise. Officer Jenny states he is under arrest, but Brodie immediately calls out his Golbat and it uses Haze blinding out heroes with the smoke and allowing Brodie to get away. Unfortunately there is even worse news: Brodie took the Golden Poké Ball.

The gang know they cannot fool Brodie the same way again, but Officer Jenny notes it is not a problem as she placed a tracker in the ball, so they can track Brodie down with no problems.

The gang follow the tracker to the dining room and it leads them to a woman eating at a table. She asks if there is something wrong as the tracker is pointed at her. Officer Jenny then states that she is really Brodie in disguise. The woman backs off and Jenny is correct as Brodie states that he is impressed they saw through his disguise. He makes a run for it for a hallway that leads to the kitchen with our heroes running after him. As the gang turn a corner, Officer Jenny finds the disguise Brodie used on the ground and guesses that he must changed his disguise again. Officer Jenny and the gang continue towards the kitchen.

Ultimately, when Ash and his friends are at the deck, two Officer Jenny's walk up to them, both claiming to be the real one themselves and that the other one is Brodie. Everyone is confused, except for Brock, who uses his sixth sense to point out who the real Jenny is, and Brodie reveals himself.
