Synopsis

Template:Incomplete synopsis May is training Beautifly for the next contest with Ash, Max, Brock and Torchic looking on. May throws the frisbee and Beautifly uses Gust but accidentally sends the frisbee flying. Torchic runs off after it. Torchic runs down the hill and accidentally runs into a rock. Trochic then hears something coming from the tall grass and goes to investigate it. Ash and friends walk down the hill and find the frisbee but no Torchic. They then see Torchic standing next to a Skitty! Ash scans Skitty with his Pokédex and May thinks it is cute and wants to catch it. She asks Torchic to battle it but Torchic refuses. May picks Skitty up and Brock offers Skitty food but it refuses to eat it.

Trivia

  • James wants to catch another Weepinbell, presumably as a replacement for his Victreebel.
  • None of the choices in the Pokémon Trainer's Choice is actually effective against Silcoon. However, Silcoon's most dangerous asset is Poison Sting, which Weezing would provide the best defense to.
  • This episode's English title is a pun of the song "I Feel Pretty" from the Broadway Musical, West Side Story.
  • This episode is featured on the Volume 17: Skitty copy of Pokémon All Stars.

Errors

When Weezing is shown as the correct choice of the Trainer's Choice challenge, the clip is of James (Eric Stuart) saying "Weezing", not of Weezing's call.
