did Pokenai give an age estimation for him? Mooites 03:22, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Image

The image in the Character Infobox is faded. Can someone replace it? --ニョロトノ666 01:29, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

If people want, I can try to change the brightness and contrast balance to try to optimize the picture...it STILL looks faded... --TruePikachu 03:21, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
That's not going to help that failure of an image, and please look at the dates on comments before you respond. The comment you replied to is over a year old, and the image has been altered since then. 梅子 03:30, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

Pokémon Emerald dialog mistake

As mentioned in the trivia, Steven mistakenly says Sootopolis Space Center instead of Mossdeep Space Center. But is this from the Japanese version or did Nintendo of America screwed up? Pokemon lover 11:39, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Emerald Meteor Falls Battle

I hope someone answer this, when you battle with him, can you battle him another time. Like, I battle him twice?--Ruixiang95 13:35, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure you can only fight him once. I may be wrong, however. ~~Takoto - サソデイ 13:43, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

In Johto

Steven in Johto (HGSS) must be added. He is giving away Torchic, Mudkip, Treecko to Hibiki/Kotone

--Ruixiang95 03:17, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

It's already there. Read the articles closely before posting, please. —darklordtrom 03:34, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
I found him at Pewter Museum of Science but, I can't trade something with him. Where can I trade for Beldum? --Nechigawara-Talking 06:55, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
You have to beat Red and get one of the Hoenn starters first, then you can trade with Steven.Reign 05:50, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!! But, I found the how to before you reply and add it in the entry. Sorry for not respond when I founded it ^^". --Nechigawara-Talking 11:47, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Emerald Tag Battle

I'll be approaching this in my file soon, so let me ask ahead of time, would his Pokemon in Emerald's tag battle against Team Magma be alright to add? Drake Clawfang 19:22, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

It's already there under the first battle. →Tinā 19:30, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh sorry, didn't see it there. Drake Clawfang 19:33, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

IIRC, it's the only tag battle where you can use items on your partner's Pokémon. KinCryos 20:57, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Is his ID Number random or is it always 61226? Circus ninja536 10:49, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

I think it is always 61226 Wexdarn 21:08, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Hoenn Starter in HGSS

I beat Red and caught Latias but he won't appear in Silph Co. :\ --The Great Butler 03:21, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

I had the same problem, and I currently have the same problem with getting beldum. I've met all the requirements, and he's not appearing. I think there may be more to it than all those, mabye a certain time or day he's in there. S Ninja D 20:07, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
I found the problem. I had rotom is the fridge form, when I stored the fridge and put it back in the PC, Steven, the receptionist, and guard were there. I'll add a note to this page and on the hoenn starters. S Ninja D 00:53, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Did you have a full party? Because I don't think it's the Rotom causing it. Celebrating1 yearOF... CuboneKing 01:26, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

to get him to appear to trade for beldum u have to find him at the pewter museum first after beating redMulhollinman 00:58, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Add a quote from HGSS?

When you encounter Steven in HGSS, he mentoins that he couldn't have met you before, since all of the trainers that battle with him seem to look the same. Was wondering if this would be worthy of mentioning; it seemed interesting to me, at least, that he acknowledged the fact that all of us look the same in-game. Vhazhiphor 06:27, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

Rather than anything meta-related, I think it's more evidence of his aloofness - this, along with at the end of the Enigma Crystal event when he reveals that he hasn't even bothered to learn your name. However, this could just be me fanwanking over the tiniest bits of information about my favorite character, so I'll just put that out there and let other, less biased people be the judge. :V 梅子 15:02, 28 May 2010 (UTC)

NPC of Kanto?

In the tag listing the NPCs of Kanto and the Sevii Islands it includes Steven Stone. Shouldn't he be in NPCs of Hoenn? Because I'm sure he never appears in FRLG. Pawsrent 16:13, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Have played HGSS?--でんのう Zえんし 16:16, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, forgot about that. But they could make it a little bit clearer. Pawsrent 20:21, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

HG/SS

Steven still considers himself the Champion in these games. So would Brendan/May have already beaten him (I guess suggested by what he says?) since Gen II should take place afterwards, and where would Wallace and Emerald be in all of this?- unsigned comment from ZeroExalted (talkcontribs)

He could've easily beaten it again in these three years Ataro 22:26, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

May/Brendan theme instead of the Champion theme

Shouldn't it be put as trivia that when battled in Emerald , the May/Brendan theme is played instead of the Champion or the trainer theme ?? Pokemon94 17:14, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

HG/SS pokemon

Shouldn't it also be added that Steven has a Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip in his party with Beldum? We know what the moves are, since they are all level 5. In addition, should Forretress be added too, but along with a note saying that the player has to trade it? --FiMbUlWiNtEr2O|2 04:32, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Steven's Beldum

Steven has everytime he meets the player a Beldum or one of his evolutionary family on his teem. In Ruby and Saphire he hass a Matang that evolves in a Metagross. Later he gifes the player a Beldum in Mosdeep City. In HGSS he trades his Beldum for a Forretres. Can this added to the Trivia? --Nazirbashir 15:01, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Currently, nothing can be added to the trivia. And besides, I don't think that would make good trivia; it's really just two different occurrences, neither of them that unusual. Metagross is his signature Pokémon, and he gives/trades away Beldum. That's not trivia, it's just the way he rolls. --AndyPKMN (talk) 17:05, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Gen 5 refrence?

My friend told me after you defeat Steven stone in heartgold and soulsilver that he says "Curse you to a gen five pokemon" is this true - unsigned comment from King of cyndaquil (talkcontribs)

100% false; the player can't even battle against him in HGSS...--Den Zen 18:31, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Also please remember to sign all talk comments with 4 tides King of cyndaquil. --Pokemaster97 18:42, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

Former Champion

The article says "He states he was the Pokémon Champion of Hoenn at some point". Could someone provide that line of dialogue and where he says it? Pokemega32 21:48, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Did you try reading the page? Werdnae (talk) 02:36, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Yes. Did you? There is no line in the dialogue included that gives that information. Pokemega32 11:16, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Exactly, what he means is, where specifically where did you pull this information from? Your quote implies that he isn't Champion anymore, but that's simply not stated anywhere on the page. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 11:35, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Uh, what? Under the Generation III heading:
"He states he was the Pokémon Champion of Hoenn at some point, but now he spends his life traveling through the region."
And we know he isn't Champion in Emerald. Wallace being Champion kind of makes that blatant. What I'm asking is where in the game does he say he used to be Champion? Pokemega32 12:37, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
I read over all of our recorded quotes for Steven and didn't find any such statement. Unless there's one we're missing, it shouldn't be on the article. Thanks for pointing it out. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 12:48, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
It's a miss-translation. Other languages (like Spanish) does state that he used to be the Champion: :"Soy Máximo, era el campeón de la Liga Pokémon de Hoenn." "I'm Steven, I used to be the champion of the Hoenn Pokémon League." LurKasumi 10:54, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Skarmory

I'm in the middle of the Tag Battle and his Skarmory had Sturdy instead of Keen Eye. Could someone edit that? Sneaking from page to page... It's the page-editing purple ghost... Gengarzilla! 21:59, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Fixed. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 22:03, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

More dialogue and Beldum information

I can't edit the article so I will place it here for anyone to paste. This happens after you defeat the Elite 4 in Ruby & Sapphire and Emerald:

Steven's house
"... ... ... ... ... ..."
"To <player>..."
"I've decided to do a little soul-searching and train on the road. I don't plan to return home for some time."
"I have a favor to ask of you."
"I want you to take the POKé BALL on the desk. Inside it is a BELDUM, my favorite POKéMON."
"I'm counting on you."
"May our paths cross again someday."
"STEVEN STONE"

Steven types with very short lines that does not share the same text block, that's why I arranged the lines like that.

The Pokémon in the table is a level 5 unnamed Beldum (which the player can name), whose only move is Take Down and carries no item neither ribbon. States that was met at Mossdeep City. Nature and ID are random. The OT is the player and not Steven. LurKasumi 10:54, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
