This is an in-depth walkthrough on how to complete the requests in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. For a list of all of the possible requests, see Task.

Missions are mainline quests which are required for completing the game, whereas Requests are optional side content that are not required, but give substantial rewards. Missions are not covered in this section. For missions, see Part 1 of this walkthrough.

To view the list of requests in game, press Minus (-) to open up the Arc Phone menu, and then press Y to bring up the Missions & Requests menu. Then press L or R to switch it from the Missions menu to the Requests menu.

There are two ways to track a request's exact location, using guidance markers. First, you can press Plus (+) when you accept the request. The other way is to press Minus (-) to open the Arc Phone menu, press Y to open the Missions & Requests menu, and then press L or R to switch to the Requests menu. Scroll down to the request you want to track and press A (a flag icon should appear on the list).

Request 1: Wurmple Can Evolve

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to guardsman Beauregard in front of Galaxy Hall. He had heard Professor Laventon mention that Pokémon can evolve, which is the ability of Pokémon to significantly change and get stronger. You can evolve your own Pokémon when they're strong enough from the satchel menu.

Beauregard asks you to catch a Wurmple for him to evolve. In the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can find Wurmple near Aspiration Hill, Floaro Gardens, Horseshoe Plains, The Heartwood, or in massive mass outbreaks.

After catching a Wurmple, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Beauregard to give it to him. You can select the Wurmple from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party. You will give up the Wurmple permanently, with no way to return it or exchange it for another.

When you give Beauregard a Wurmple, he's aware that it can evolve into the Pokémon, Beautifly, so he asks for your pick of 3 Beautifly-related nicknames: Beauticia, Beautifred, or Beaugene. He can't wait to raise his Wurmple to become a beautiful Beautifly!

For bringing him his own Wurmple to evolve and take care of, Beauregard gives you 3 Dazzling Honeys.

Request 2: Adorable Starly

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to Marli, a lady in a green outfit, in front of the general store. She admits to being afraid of Pokémon, but can't help but feel infatuated with Starly.

Marli asks you to show her Starly's completed Pokédex entry. As learned in Part 2 of this walkthrough, you need to fulfill a certain number of research tasks to complete its Pokedéx entry. You can find Starly in the day time in the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at Aspiration Hill, Horseshoe Plains, near Worn Bridge, Deertrack Path, Deertrack Heights, Windswept Run, Nature's Pantry, Tidewater Dam, near Obsidian Falls, Ramanas Island, or in massive mass outbreaks.

After completing Starly's Pokedéx entry, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Marli to show it to her. She reads through the entry and points out Starly's gender differences. She thanks you for letting her learn about it, and she just might have the courage to be able to touch one.

Marli asks you to show her a real Starly. Talk to Marli to show it to her. You can select a Starly from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

Marli admires your Starly, and you offer to let her pet it. However, her courage quickly disappears, and she instead runs back a few feet away. She thanks you for showing her a Starly anyways, and letting her read the Pokédex entry did help to put her at ease.

For helping her understand the adorable Starly, Marli gives you 10 Poké Balls.

Request 3: What Did Shinx's Ears Look Like?

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to Toshi, a man in a blue outfit, in front of the photography studio. He knows that Shinx has markings on its ears, but he struggles to remember what exactly they look like.

Toshi asks you to show him a Shinx, so that he can see its ears. This request is immediately completable, because you had just caught a Shinx in the trial to become a member of the Survey Corps.

Talk to Toshi to show the Shinx to him. You can select a Shinx from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

When you show Toshi your Shinx, he remembers that its ears have a cross pattern like a star! He's relieved that the question that was bothering him so much has been answered.

For showing him what Shinx's ears look like and putting him at ease, Toshi gives you 3 Potions.

Request 4: Big Buizel, Little Buizel

In Jubilife Village, head to the seaside gate, the southern gate where you first arrived from. Talk to guardsman Dorian in front of the gate. He had heard from Professor Laventon that Pokémon can be different sizes, but can't really believe it until he sees a side-by-side comparison.

Dorian asks you to catch him a Buizel that is larger than his: one that is at least 2'8". You can see a caught Pokémon's exact height by going to the Satchel menu or to the pastures, selecting the Pokémon, and selecting "Check summary". In the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can find Buizels in Horseshoe Plains, near Worn Bridge, Windswept Run, or in massive mass outbreaks. In the Cobalt Coastlands, you can find them in Ginkgo Landing, Aipom Hill, or Bathers' Lagoon.

Unfortunately, this request comes down to luck, as Buizels can come in all sizes. Your best bet is to wait until you find a Buizel that is an alpha, which are guaranteed to be larger. After quelling a frenzied noble, all wild Pokémon in that area have a small chance to be an alpha. Blindly catching Buizels can waste a lot of time, so it might be best to save the quest for later and just catch the Buizels you stumble across.

After catching a large enough Buizel, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Dorian to give it to him. You can select the Buizel from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party. You will give up the Buizel permanently, with no way to return it or exchange it for another.

When you give Dorian the Buizel, he thanks you and makes a bunch of observations of the differences between them. He notices that same features on both Buizels are very distinct because of the difference in size!

For showing him a big and little Buizel, Dorian gives you 5 Oran Berries and an Exp. Candy S.

Jubilife Village: Seaside Gate Complete Mission 3: "The Basics of Crafting"
  1. Dorian requests a height of 2'8" or larger; however due to an oversight, he will accept some 2'7" Buizel. Height is stored internally as a value from 0-255, and Dorian accepts Buizel from size 215-255.
    The height of 2'7" ranges from 196-217, which slightly overlaps the accepted range, meaning he'll erroneously accept 3/22 possible Buizel with a height of 2'7".

Request 5: What It Takes to Be Awesome

In Jubilife Village, head to the pastures. Talk to Sho, a boy sitting on a pile of wood in the southeast corner. He asks you what it takes to be an awesome member of the Galaxy Team: to him, to be awesome, you need a partner Pokémon! He's been practicing his aim to catch his own partner Pokémon with practice balls, but hasn't used the real deal yet.

Sho asks to give him five real Poké Balls for him to use. You can buy Poké Balls from Choy in the general store, or craft them using Apricorns and Tumblestone.

After getting 5 Poké Balls, talk to Sho to give them to him. When you hand them to Sho, he thanks you and can't wait to catch his own partner Pokémon!

For helping him be awesome, Sho gives you 3 Grit Dust. He recommends that you ask Zisu what they're for: it is a type of item that can strengthen your Pokémon's effort levels and stats.

Request 6: Mushroom Cake Marketing

In the Obsidian Fieldlands, head to the Fieldlands Camp . Talk to Morel, a man in a green outfit. He explains that he's invented a recipe using Cake-Lure Bases and his 20 years of mushroom foraging knowledge, but no one wants to try it! So, he wants you to make one of his Mushroom Cakes.

Morel asks you to collect the key ingredient to his Mushroom Cakes, a Springy Mushroom. The easiest way to get one is from Anvin from the craftworks in Jubilife Village, which you can buy for $200. Also, Paras and Parasect drop them when defeated, and you can randomly find them on the ground in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

After collecting a Springy Mushroom, talk to Morel to give it to him. He walks over to the crafting bench to make the cake, and explains that you can use it as bait for wild Pokémon. Cakes are actually more effective than Berries in both catch rate and distraction time, but certain Pokémon are only attracted to certain types of cake. You can see a Pokémon's favorite foods in their Pokédex entry under "Preferred Foods". For example, these Pokémon are attracted to Mushroom Cakes, specifically. Definitely make use of cakes as a tool for catching Pokémon!

For marketing his Mushroom Cakes, Morel gives you the recipe for Mushroom Cakes and 5 Cake-Lure Bases to make your own. The request actually doesn't use the Springy Mushroom you gave Morel, so if you'd like, go to the crafting bench and make a Mushroom Cake yourself!

Request 7: Playing with Drifloon

You'll have to catch a Drifloon to unlock this quest. You can find them at nighttime throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at Aspiration Hill, Floaro Gardens, near Worn Bridge, Deertrack Path, Windswept Run, Ramanas Island, or in massive mass outbreaks.

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. A Drifloon has been spotted with one of the children, and a guardsman, Miki, wants you to investigate. First, you'll have to talk to her for the details.

Head outside of Galaxy Hall and go to the seaside gate, the southern gate where you first arrived from. Talk to guardsman Miki for the details. She informs you that in the evening, a Drifloon has been playing with one of the village children on Prelude Beach. The odd thing is, when they checked up on the children, none of them knew anything about a Drifloon! So, she wants you to investigate the Drifloon later in the day.

Head to your quarters. Time does not automatically pass in Jubilife Village, so you'll have to rest to change it to evening. Press A on your futon in the back of the room, and rest "Until evening".

Return to seaside gate and continue through. Turn east from the practice field to head to Prelude Beach.

Look behind the house to find the Drifloon and the child. When you approach, the child calls out for you. The Drifloon is holding on to him, and won't let him go home. So, you pry the Drifloon off of the child, and it flies away in the wind. The child tells you that his name is Taki, and he doesn't want you to worry about the friendly Drifloon—he was keeping it a secret so that it wouldn't get in trouble. He runs back to the village.

Return to the seaside gate and talk to Miki to report to her. You explain the situation, and that Taki was keeping it secret to prevent the Drifloon from getting in trouble. Miki worries that the child could have been in serious danger, and decides to tell Zisu to set up more guardsmen at Prelude Beach. She thanks you for helping her keep the village safe.

For investigating the playful Drifloon, Miki gives you a Stardust.

Request 8: Bothersome Bidoof

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. A group of Bidoof have been causing trouble around the village, and guardsman Tsumugi wants you to investigate. First, you'll have to talk to her for the details.

Head outside of Galaxy Hall and go to the front gate, the western gate where you depart for expeditions from. Talk to guardsman Tsumugi next to the item storage box. She had heard of your ability to catch three Pokémon in your trial to become a member of the Survey Corps. When she begins explaining the situation, the Bidoof suddenly invade the village! She asks for your help to catch them, and she heard that Bidoof are easily distracted by other Bidoof.

The locations of the bothersome Bidoof

Tsumugi asks you to set a Bidoof in your party and use it to help her search for the three Bidoof. Head to the pastures to set a Bidoof in your party. One of the Bidoof is in the southeast corner, by the pasture fence. Another is behind a building on the west side of Canala Avenue. The last one is hidden to the west of your quarters.

After catching all three, Tsumugi releases the Bidoof and prepares to kick them out—however, she's interrupted by Sanqua of the Construction Corps. She wants to keep them and make use of their wood-chewing abilities for construction. Sanqua asks the Bidoof to work with her, and they agree! Tsumugi feels uneasy about the decision, but reluctantly agrees since they're under Sanqua's supervision.

For helping catch the bothersome Bidoof, Tsumugi gives you a Rare Candy.

Request 9: Zubat's Eyes

You'll have to catch a Zubat to unlock this quest. You can find them at nighttime throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at the Worn Bridge, Deertrack Path, Deertrack Heights, Windswept Run, Nature's Pantry, Tidewater Dam, The Heartwood, Oreburrow Tunnel, near Obsidian Falls, or in massive mass outbreaks.

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. Clarissa is asking about Zubat, but you'll have to talk to her for the details.

Head to the west side of Canala Avenue and talk to guardsman Clarissa, holding a lantern, for the details. She was wondering about how Zubat can see in complete darkness, and theorizes that its eyes must be incredibly powerful. Perhaps the Security Corps could learn a thing or two from Zubat's night vision! It would certainly be a big help with patrolling in the dark at nighttime.

Clarissa asks you to show her a Zubat, so that she can get a better look at its eyes. Talk to Clarissa to show it to her. You can select a Zubat from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

Clarissa examines the Zubat and finds out that... it doesn't have any eyes! It must get around using some other sense. (According to the Pokédex, Zubat emits sound waves to perceive the space around it—this is also known as echolocation.) Even though she won't be able to get night vision like she originally wanted, she realizes that she can instead use a partner Zubat to help her get around in the night.

For helping her understand Zubat's eyes (or lack thereof), Clarissa gives you 2 Aux Powers.

Request 10: Wurmple's Evolved!

You'll have to do three things to unlock this quest. First, complete Request 1: Wurmple Can Evolve. Then, talk to Beauregard to cause Wurmple to evolve. Finally, complete Cascoon's Pokédex entry by completing enough tasks to reach research level 10. You can find Cascoon at night in the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at Floaro Gardens, Horseshoe Plains, The Heartwood, and in massive mass outbreaks.

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. Beauregard is concerned about how his Wurmple is evolving, but you'll have to talk to him for the details.

Head outside of Galaxy Hall and talk to guardsman Beauregard. Professor Laventon took a look at his Wurmple and told him that it's evolving into a Cascoon (and eventually Dustox), instead of a Silcoon and the eventual Beautifly that he wanted it to be.

Beauregard wants you to show him a Silcoon to prove Laventon wrong. You can find a Silcoon during the daytime in the in the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at Floaro Gardens, Horseshoe Plains, The Heartwood, and in massive mass outbreaks.

After catching a Silcoon, talk to Beauregard to show it to him. You can select a Silcoon from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

You put your Silcoon and Beauregard's Pokémon side by side... and he still thinks that they're the same. You point out the differences between them, and then it becomes clear to him: his Pokémon is a Cascoon. He apologizes to his Cascoon for his ignorance, but the Cascoon makes it clear that it wants to keep being his partner. Even though it won't become a Beautifly, the two are still inseparable.

For helping him understand his Cascoon, Beauregard gives you an Exp. Candy S. Later on in the story, you can talk to Beauregard again, and the Cascoon will evolve into a Dustox!

Request 11: The Timbre of the Fields

In the Obsidian Fieldlands, head to the Fieldlands Camp. Talk to Yeo, a woman in a green outfit. Yeo absolutely must understand Kricketot's rich tone of its musical cry, and she asks you, a capable member of the Survey Corps, to find out how.

Yeo asks you to show her Kriketot's completed Pokédex entry. As learned in Part 2 of this walkthrough, you need to fulfill a certain number of research tasks to complete its Pokedéx entry. In the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can find Kricketot at Deertrack Path and nearby, Windswept Run, Nature's Pantry, Tidewater Dam, and in massive mass outbreaks.

After completing Kricketot's Pokédex entry, return to the Fieldlands Camp and talk to Yeo to show it to her. She reads through Kricketot's entry and learns that it hits its antennae together to make the sound of its cry. She wonders if Anvin (the man that runs the craftworks at Jubilife Village) could create an instrument with a similar idea to its antennae.

For helping her understand the timbre of Kricketot's cry, Yeo gives you 3 Vivichokes and admires your hard work filling the Pokédex.

Request 12: A Perfect Pickling Stone

In Jubilife Village, head to the second floor of Galaxy Hall. Talk to Radisa, a lady in a brown outfit. She needs a stone for pickling: one that is heavy enough to keep a firm pressure, but not too heavy that it's difficult for her to lift it. She gets a bright idea: what if the stone could lift itself up?

Radisa asks you to catch a Geodude for her to use as a pickling stone. Radisa suggests that you catch one at Deertrack Heights in the Obsidian Fieldlands. You can also find them at Worn Bridge, near Obsidian Falls, in massive mass outbreaks, and in shaking ore deposits.

After catching a Geodude, return to Jubilife Village and head to Radisa's home, next to the farm. (If you want to track a request's exact location, press Minus (-) to open the Arc Phone menu, press Y to open the Missions & Requests menu, and then press L or R to switch to the Requests menu. Scroll down to the request and press A to make guidance markers appear.)

Talk to Radisa to give her the Geodude. You can select the Geodude from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party. You will give up the Geodude permanently, with no way to return it or exchange it for another.

When you give Radisa the Geodude, she notices that it's the perfect weight! She hopes that Geodude will help her make delicious pickles.

For helping her find a perfect pickling stone, Radisa gives you 3 Honey Cakes and an Exp. Candy S.

Request 13: Trees That Bear Berries

In the Obsidian Fieldlands, head to Deertrack Path. Talk to Bjorn, a man in an orange outfit. He asks for your help to grab some Berries from a tree, as he doesn't have any Pokémon to do it himself. Like Rei/Akari taught you in Part 1, you can throw out a Pokémon at certain Berry trees, and your Pokémon will collect them for you.

Bjorn asks you to give him 3 Cheri Berries. There are a few Cheri Berry trees nearby on Deertrack Path, including one west of Bjorn. You can also find more Cheri Berry trees throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands.

After collecting 3 Cheri Berries, talk to Bjorn to give them to him. When you hand him the Berries, he gives you a tip: you can use Berries as bait! If you throw them near wild Pokémon, you can distract it and increase its catch rate. Throwing bait is incredibly useful for stealth and capturing Pokémon outside of battle.

For helping him with the Berry trees, Bjorn gives you 15 Poké Balls.

In Jubilife Village, head to the front gate, the western gate where you depart for expeditions from. Head east and talk to Andra, a man in a red outfit carrying a wooden box on his back. He whispers to himself about Oran Berries. When he turns to you, he suggests that you throw Berries as bait to distract Pokemon, and needs some for his own expeditions.

Andra asks you to give him 5 Oran Berries. As learned in Part 1 of this walkthrough, you can throw your Pokemon at a Berry tree to collect the Berries for you. You can find Oran Berry trees throughout the Obsidian Fieldlands. In Jubilife Village, you can also buy them from Tuli at the Ginkgo Guild cart for $80 each.

Talk to Andra to give him the Oran Berries. When you give them to him, he thanks you for the effort, before setting off for his travels.

For being helpful with the Berries, Andra gives you 3 Revives.

Request 15: Balloon Race in the Fieldlands

In the Obsidian Fieldlands, head to the Heights Camp. Talk to the man in the brown outfit labeled Balloon Race. He had heard of your ability to call and ride Wyrdeer, and he wants you to try out a game while riding it. His game is the balloon race, where you ride Wyrdeer through balloons to pop them. Depending on how many balloons you pop, you can win valuable prizes!

He asks you to pop 17 balloons out of the 30 in the course. Talk to him again to begin the balloon race. You cannot throw items to pop balloons—you must pop them using Wyrdeer. As always, you can press B to dash and Y to jump.

If you'd like to pop all 30 balloons, you'll need to hold B to dash for nearly the entire time. While holding it down, there are also many sharp turns where you'll need to use the Right Stick to see and parts where you'll need to press Y to jump. It can be difficult to control all three with just your thumb, so there's a couple ways to split up the work:

One way is to hold your controller in a claw grip, where your thumb controls Right Stick and your index finger controls B and Y. Another way is to press the Home button to go into your Nintendo Switch System Settings, then "Controllers and Sensors", and then "Change button mapping". From there, you can set one of the triggers (ZL or ZR) to the B button, and hold it down with your index finger. Either way, you'll need to dash, jump, and use the Right Stick all at the same time.

After either the timer runs out or you pop all 30 balloons, you return to the Heights Camp and the man gives you a reward for playing. He tells that there are more balloon races in other places that you should try out and win even more prizes!

If you've popped 17 balloons, he gives you 1 Rare Candy and 10 Feather Balls on top of his normal rewards. Even after completing the request, you can continue to talk to the same man to retry the balloon race, and he'll still give you rewards for playing. Good luck on getting a perfect 30-balloon run!

Request 16: Strange Happenings at Midnight

You'll have to do 2 things to unlock this quest. First, you'll have to catch a Pichu, which you can find in the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear near Aspiration Hill, Floaro Gardens, Nature's Pantry at daytime, and in massive mass outbreaks. Second, you'll have to rest to change it to nighttime, as time does not pass in Jubilife Village. Head to your quarters, press A on the futon in the back of the room, and rest "Until nightfall".

In Jubilife Village, head to Canala Avenue. Talk to Sanqua, a lady with silver hair and in a purple outfit, in front of her home. She doesn't see you and gets scared when she hears you approach, but calms down when she realizes that you can help her. At night, she hears noises in her home and finds burnt Berries, which leads her to believe that there's something in there with her.

Sanqua asks you to investigate her home to find the cause of the noise. If you leave to do this quest later, you must return at night, because during the day, she works as the leader of the Construction Corps.

Talk to Sanqua to enter her home. It is dead silent. Begin inspecting each object in the room.

Investigate the basket on the table in the back of the room. You smell the faint aroma of Berries... and you hear a noise at the entrance!

Head to the entrance and investigate the table covered in a white cloth. You hear the same noise from before. Pull back the cloth from the table. Suddenly, you hear crackling and see electric sparks fly past you. You also saw something ran away, but you didn't see what. You're close, but you must keep looking—you hear the same noise come from the closets in the back.

Investigate the green folding screen at the far corner of the room. You find a Pichu behind the screen, and it tries to run away from you, but Sanqua enters when she hears the noise. The Pichu and Sanqua see each other and stop. Sanqua explains that she once found an injured Pichu in the forest and brought it back to the village to heal it. The Pichu hands her a Berry, and she realizes that the noise was just that grateful Pichu all along.

For helping her investigate the strange happenings, Sanqua gives you 7 Nanab Berries.

Request 17: To Bloom or Not to Bloom

In Jubilife Village, head to the farm. Talk to Kichi, a man in an orange outfit. When he was looking for crops in The Heartwood, he saw a Cherrim change form in front of his very eyes! In the evening, its petals closed up and it looks like a flower bud. Then, the next morning it opened up and bloomed again! He wonders if it was evolution or not.

Kichi asks you to show him Cherrim's complete Pokédex entry. As learned in Part 2 of this walkthrough, you need to fulfill a certain number of research tasks to complete its Pokedéx entry. You can find Cherrim and its pre-evolution, Cherubi, in shaking trees. In the Obsidian Fieldlands, they appear in The Heartwood. In the Crimson Mirelands, they appear at Gapejaw Bog. In the Coronet Highlands, they appear at Lonely Spring, near Primeval Grotto, and at Bolderoll Ravine.

Ideally, the fastest way to complete the entry is to catch 2 Cherrim during the day. In most areas, there are other Pokémon that also appear from shaking trees, which makes it hard to find Cherrim. Your best bet is to wait until you unlock the Coronet Highlands, where Cherrim and Cherubi are guaranteed to be the only Pokémon to appear from shaking trees. Blindly checking shaking trees in the Obsidian Fieldlands or Crimson Mirelands can waste a lot of time, so it might be best to save the quest for after you unlock the Coronet Highlands.

After completing Cherrim's Pokédex entry, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Kichi to show it to him. He reads through the entry and learns that it wasn't evolution after all: Cherrim changes form depending on whether the sun is out or not.

For showing him how Cherrim blooms, Kichi gives you 5 Vivichokes.

In Jubilife Village, head to the craftworks. Talk to Anvin, a man in a blue outfit. He is a part of the Supply Corps and works as the manager of the craftworks. He proclaims loudly that he has created a new recipe and desires that you follow it. He hands you a recipe for a Pokéshi Doll. (They don't serve any other practical purpose than to be sold.)

Anvin asks you to craft a Pokéshi Doll using 3 Wood. You can randomly find Wood on the ground in all areas, and they are also dropped by wild Scyther.

After crafting a Pokéshi Doll, talk to Anvin to show it to him. He shouts complements about your craftsmanship, and notes that your Pokéshi Doll has its own feel, even though you both followed the same recipe.

For making him a Pokéshi Doll, Anvin gives you his own Pokéshi doll for you to keep! It's displayed next to the window at the back of your quarters. It's separate from the one he gives you in your inventory, so feel free to sell any Pokéshi Dolls that you have.

Request 19: A Peculiar Ponyta

You'll have to catch a Ponyta to unlock this quest. In the Obsidian Fieldlands, they appear at Horseshoe Plains and in massive mass outbreaks.

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. Yota reports that there's a strange Ponyta, and wants you to investigate it. You'll have to talk to him for the details.

Leave Galaxy Hall and head to the bridge in between the training grounds and the farm. Talk to Yota, a man in a purple outfit with a carrying pole, for the details. He reports that a strange-looking Ponyta has appeared at Horseshoe Plains that no one's seen before. When he told Laventon, he got very excited to study it!

Yota asks you to catch and show him the strange Ponyta. Head to the front gate and depart for the Obsidian Fieldlands.

The peculiar Shiny Ponyta

Head to the center of Horseshoe Plains. As it turns out... the Ponyta is Shiny! Shiny Pokémon are an extremely rare recolor of a Pokémon, and they make a little glittery noise when they're nearby. Catch it in whatever way you see fit. If you seek to battle it, it's only level 15, so it may be worth it to bring a Pokémon that can learn False Swipe to make sure it won't faint. If it faints or runs away, return to Jubilife Village and it will come back.

In most cases, Shiny Pokémon permanently disappear if they faint or run away. (The only exception is this specific Ponyta, as it will respawn for the request.) When catching Shiny Pokémon, it is recommended that you set Autosave to "Disabled" in the Settings and then manually save. If it does disappear, press the Home button and then press X to close the game. Then, when you launch the game again, it will still be there. Also, as long as you don't return to Jubilife Village, you can go somewhere else on the map and return to the area and the Shiny Pokémon will still be there.

After catching the Shiny Ponyta, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Yota to show it to him. He mentions that one of his friends from Galar was surprised to see the Ponytas with a firey mane (as Galarian Ponyta instead have a fluffy pastel-colored mane). Now that he's seen a Ponyta with a blue mane, he wonders about all the different possible colors and forms of Pokémon, and wishes the Survey Corps luck in cataloguing them all.

For helping him learn about the peculiar Ponyta, Yota gives you 5 Razz Berries.

Request 20: The Mysterious Will-o'-the-Wisp

In Jubilife Village, talk to Paira, a lady in a pink outfit, to the east of Canala Avenue. She claims to have seen some sort of ball of red fire, a "will-o-the-wisp", on Windswept Run. A child comes around the corner and introduces himself as her brother, Waka. He tells you not to believe her, but she promises that she's not making it up.

Paira asks you to catch and show her the will-o'-the-wisp at night to prove that she's not lying. Head to the front gate and depart for the Obsidian Fieldlands. You can rest at the tent "Until nightfall" to change it to nighttime.

Head to Windswept run and press A to inspect the tree. At the top of the tree... is the will-o'-the-wisp! The will-o'-the-wisp was a Chimchar all along! It suddenly jumps down and challenges you to battle! It's only level 12, so it may be worth it to bring a Pokémon with False Swipe to make sure it doesn't faint when you try to catch it.

After catching the Chimchar, return to Jubilife Village. If it isn't already nighttime, go to your quarters and rest in the futon "Until nightfall".

Talk to Paira to show her the Chimchar. You can select the Chimchar from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

When you show her the Chimchar, it climbs up a nearby tree. Paira recognizes it as the will-o'-the-wisp that she had seen before, and ponders how to explain it to her brother. Before she can get an answer, Waka screams out in shock, seeing the will-o'-the-wisp in person for the first time, and runs away.

For investigating the mysterious will-o'-the-wisp, Paira gives you 2 Exp. Candy S.

Request 21: Back-Alley Mr. Mime

You'll have to do 2 things to unlock this quest. First, complete Request 14: Berry Helpful. Then, catch a Mr. Mime, which you can find in the Obsidian Fieldlands. They appear at Sandgem Flats and in massive mass outbreaks.

In Jubilife Village, head to Professor Laventon's office in Galaxy Hall. Press A to look at the blackboard for requests. Andra is concerned about a Mr. Mime that has taken up residence in Jubilife Village. You'll have to talk to him for the details.

Leave Galaxy Hall and head to the river by Canala Bridge. Talk to Andra, a man in a red outfit. He thanks you for the Oran Berries that you had given him in Request 14, and hopes that you can help him out again. He's worried about a Mr. Mime that's been making odd movements, and is generally worried about having a wild Pokémon in the village at all.

The back-alley Mr. Mime

Andra asks you to investigate what the Mr. Mime is up to. He points to the Mr. Mime in the alleyway in front of you. If you walk into the alleyway, you'll find out that there is an invisible wall preventing you from reaching the Mr. Mime: you'll have to find another way around.

Head to the south end of Canala Avenue and enter the alleyway from there. Press A to investigate the Mr. Mime. It sees you approaching and runs away. Andra becomes suspicious of the Mr. Mime, and thinks it has something to hide.

Head to the space between Galaxy Hall and your quarters and talk to Andra. He points out the Mr. Mime is now up on the hill, but yet again, approaching it directly doesn't work because of an invisible wall. You'll have to find another way around.

Head to the east side of Galaxy Hall and go around to the back. There is an invisible maze that you must get through.

First, face the Mr. Mime. Head north to enter the maze by following along the Galaxy Hall's wall. Then, when you reach the end, head west and then go as far south as you can. Finally, head west and continue north until you reach the Mr. Mime. Press A to investigate the Mr. Mime. It sees you approaching and runs away again. Andra is confused about why you went all the way around, but you explain that there are invisible walls blocking you.

Head to the front gate, the western gate where you depart for expeditions from. Head east to talk to Andra. He points out the Mr. Mime to the east of the gate. Once again, there are invisible walls blocking a direct path.

Head to the ladder to the west of Mr. Mime, and head as far east as you can. Then head north until you reach Mr. Mime, and press A to interact with it. Andra tries to catch it when it runs away, but gets blocked by an invisible wall. Guardsman Ress hears the commotion and explains that this is actually his Mr. Mime. It protects the village by setting invisible walls to prevent wild Pokémon from getting in. It's docile, so Ress lets it do what it wants. Andra apologizes for causing trouble, but at least he has better peace of mind.

For investigating the back-alley Mr. Mime, Andra gives you 2 Aux Guards.

Request 22: Eerie Apparitions in the Night

After quelling noble Kleavor and returning to Jubilife Village, you return to your room at night. A child in a pale-maroon outfit calls your name, and introduces herself as Vessa. She has something important to tell you, and she takes you to a bridge near the pastures. A calamity that was once sealed away is now escaping its confines, and its seal is broken. Vessa asks you to restore its seal, and hands you an Odd Keystone. After the seal was broken, wisps of purple flame were scattered across all of Hisui, only visible to the person who wields the Odd Keystone.

Vessa asks you to collect all 107 wisps, starting with the one across the river. Head across the bridge and head west. Press A to touch the wisp next to the tree. It floats and gets absorbed into the Odd Keystone. Vessa thanks you for agreeing to help her, and if you need any assistance, talk to her. She'll also give you rewards for finding certain amounts of wisps, as shown below.

Refer to Spiritomb Wisps for all the locations of the wisps. Wisps are also significantly easier to see at nighttime. There are 7 wisps in Jubilife Village, and 20 wisps in each expedition area, including the Obsidian Fieldlands, Crimson Mirelands, Cobalt Coastlands, Coronet Highlands, and the Alabaster Icelands.

You need access to every area in the game before you can complete this request, so don't worry about this request until you've unlocked every ride Pokémon.

Request 23: Getting Ahold of New Wares

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to Choy, a man with purple hair, glasses, and a teal outfit, in front of the general store. He typically runs the general store and you can buy items from him, but he needs your help. He asks if it would be better if he had more wares to choose from—the reason he doesn't is that Tao Hua, the captain of the Supply Corps, refuses to give him more goods.

Choy asks you to persuade Tao Hua by giving him 3 Hearty Grains. There's many places you can find them, but the easiest way is to collect them on the ground in the Crimson Mirelands. You can also throw out your Pokémon at haystacks there, and they will randomly drop. If you're far enough in the story, you can even buy them at the craftworks for $200 each.

After collecting 3 Hearty Grains, return to Jubilife Village and head into Galaxy Hall. Head down the stairs to the basement floor and continue into the center room with the green sign above it.

Talk to Tao Hua, an older man with glasses and a green outfit, to give him the Hearty Grains. He adores the Hearty Grains as they remind him of home, and he implies that you could use them in Grain Cakes as bait to attract Pokémon. (You can buy the recipe from Anvin in the craftworks.) Since you kindly gave him the Hearty Grains, he promises to get Choy the new wares.

Head outside of Galaxy Hall and report back to Choy about what happened. He apologizes for the trouble and explains that he and Tao Hua had some "complications" between each other. Thanks to you, he has new wares he can sell!

For helping him get ahold of new wares, Choy has new items to sell in the general store!

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to Anthe, a lady with black and blonde hair, a purple outfit, and golden glasses, in front of the clothier. She typically runs the clothier where you can buy {clothing items from. She recalls the outfit you were wearing when you first arrived (your Casual Tee and Sandals from the future), and asks if you are passionate about fashion. She heard that a Pokémon called Hippopotas looks different based on its gender, and that maybe she could draw inspiration from them.

Anthe asks you to show her a male and female Hippopotas to get design inspiration from. In the Crimson Mirelands, you can find them in Gapejaw Bog, near Sludge Mound, Scarlet Bog, or in massive mass outbreaks. Make sure you catch 1 of each gender! They have noticeably different color schemes. You can also press ZL when looking at a Pokémon to display its gender on the bottom left of the screen.

After catching a male and female Hippopotas, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Anthe. Select "About your request..." to show them to her. You can select each Hippopotas from your pastures, so you don't need them in your party.

When you put each Hippopotas side-by-side, Anthe is shocked by how the difference in color leaves such a different impression. She immediately becomes inspired to design new clothing, and suggests that you check her shop later for new entries.

For helping her get inspiration from Hippopotas, Anthe has new clothing items to sell in the clothier!

You'll have to talk to Dagero at least once to activate this request. He introduces the building as the photography studio, where you can take photos with your Pokémon, and he walks inside.

In Jubilife Village, head to Floaro Main Street. Talk to Dagero, an older man in a green outfit, in front of the photography studio. He's been trying to get people to take photos with their own Pokémon, but they don't see the appeal. However, he got a bright idea when he accidentally took a photo of a Pokémon (as shown to the left). He believes that when people see an adorable Pokémon like this in a photo, they'll all want to have their photos taken with it! The problem is, the Pokémon is not properly in frame and he doesn't know which one it is.

Dagero asks you to show him the Pokémon in the photo, so he can get a clearer shot of it. The photo was taken in The Heartwood, nearby Grandtree Arena. If you head there, you'll find a small brown bunny with the same fluffy ears: the Pokémon is a Buneary! Catch a Buneary to show to Dagero.

After catching a Buneary, return to Jubilife Village and head inside the photography studio. Talk to Dagero and select "About that request you had..." and "I think I've got the Pokémon you wanted" to show it to him. You can select a Buneary from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

When you show him the Buneary, Dagero recognizes it as the one in the photo! He takes a proper photo of the Buneary, and thanks you because this will help more people want to take more photos with Pokémon.

For showing him the Pokémon in the woodland photo, Dagero has a new option for taking photos in the photography studio!

Request 26: Aim for the Big Leagues!

In Jubilife Village, head to Canala Avenue. Talk to Taggart, a man in a brown outfit. He asks if you want to try his target practice game, where you throw balls at balloons to earn points. Depending on how many balloons you pop, you can win valuable prizes!

Taggart asks you to earn at least 10,000 points. Head to the seaside gate, the southern gate where you first arrived from, and continue to the Practice field. Talk to Taggart to begin the game.

As always, hold down the ZR to ready a Poké Ball, and use the Right Stick to aim. Release ZR to throw it. You will be given an infinite amount of Poké Balls during this game, so don't worry about wasting any of the ones in your satchel. A purple target is worth 100 points and a yellow target is worth 200 points. You gain additional points for popping multiple targets with one throw, and you also get an extension on your time limit if you break a lot of targets. Balloons continually fall from the sky, so there is no way to pop every single balloon.

After the timer runs out, Taggart gives you a reward for playing based on how well you did. He tells you to keep aiming for higher records, and he'll give you even better rewards!

If you've earned at least 10,000 points, he gives you 15 Great Balls and 1 Nugget on top of his normal rewards. Even after completing the request, you can continue to talk to Taggart to retry the target practice game, and he'll still give you rewards for playing. Good luck on getting a high score!

Request 27: Help Wanted: Plowing the Fields

In Jubilife Village, head to the farm. Talk to Miller, a man in an orange outfit holding a farming tool. He's been working to expand the fields, but he's had difficulty plowing the ground. With more fields, Jubilife Village will be able to grow more food, so he could use some help to get it done.

Miller asks you to catch a Ground-type Pokémon to help him plow the fields. There's many Ground-type Pokémon you can catch throughout Hisui. For example, in the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can catch Geodude, Graveler, Onix, and Gastrodon. In the Crimson Mirelands, you can catch Rhyhorn, Rhydon, Hippopotas, Hippowdon, Grotle, and the Sandy Cloak form of Wormadam.

After catching a Ground-type Pokémon, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Miller to give it to him. You will give up the Pokémon, but you can exchange it for another Pokémon at any time.

Miller immediately puts the Pokémon to work, and it plows the ground like it's nothing. In a pinch, the Pokémon has doubled the size of the fields! Miller thanks you for helping him out, and you can talk to him at any time to swap out the Pokémon for another Ground-type.

For finding a Pokémon to help him plow the fields, Miller has new options for farming! You can talk to Colza, the captain of the Agriculture Corps, to have him grow some crops, and he'll give you the items they yield.

Request 28: Measuring Your Compatibility

In Jubilife Village, head to the pastures and continue east along the fence. Talk to Belamy, a man in a navy blue outfit with glasses. He claims that you remind him a lot of his grandmother, who was friendly with Pokémon. You have a similar aura to her, and he's interested in how friendly you are with the Pokèmon you travel with.

Belamy asks you to show him a Pokémon that you have a close friendship with. Friendship is a gameplay mechanic that is earned in various ways, typically involving gaining Experience. This includes throwing them out to collect items, leveling up, using Exp Candies, and battling.

After getting enough friendship with one of your Pokémon, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Belamy to show it to him. You can use one of the Pokémon you've traveled and battled with the most, like your first partner Pokémon. You can also select a Pokémon from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party.

Belamy looks at your Pokémon, and can tell that it's pleased to be traveling with you! His grandma was just like you: someone who could truly understand Pokémon. He can tell because he grew up with her, so it comes naturally to him.

For letting him measure your compatibility with your Pokémon, Belamy gives you 1 Rare Candy. You can continue to show him more Pokémon and he'll tell you how they feel about you!

Request 29: The Search for Bitter Leaves

In Jubilife Village, head to Canala Avenue. Talk to Shinon, a lady in a pale green outfit and holding a broom. She needs a certain plant to make medicine, that is extremely bitter and has 3 leaves. She doesn't know where it grows, so she suggests asking Anise from the Medical Corps.

Shinon asks you to talk to Anise to get help get the plant that she needs. First, head to the houses on the east side of Canala Avenue and go into the second house from the south. (If you want to track a request's exact location, press Minus (-) to open the Arc Phone menu, press Y to open the Missions & Requests menu, and then press L or R to switch to the Requests menu. Scroll down to the request and press A to make guidance markers appear.)

Then, talk to Anise, an older lady in a pink outfit. Anise explains that the plant she needs is actually a Pokémon from the Crimson Mirelands. She's worried that Shinon would be shocked, so Anise asks you to bring it to her instead.

If you head to the Crimson Mirelands, there's many Pokémon that have green leaves, but the particular one that Anise is looking for is Petilil. In the Crimson Mirelands, you can find Petilil at Cottonsedge Prairie or in massive mass outbreaks.

After catching a Petilil, return to Jubilife Village and talk to Anise to give it to her. You can select a Petilil from your pastures, so you don't need it in your party. You will give up the Petilil permanently, with no way to return it or swap it out for another.

Anise recognizes the Pokémon and gets ready to take some of its leaves, but suddenly, Shinon walks into the room. Now that you've been caught, Anise tries to explain the situation, but Shinon is scared of Pokémon and refuses to make the medicine. Anise convinces her that ignorance is scarier than the Pokémon itself (and also your hard work would go to waste). Cautiously, Shinon decides that she should get over her fear by learning more about Pokémon.

For helping her search for bitter leaves, Shinon gives you 3 Fine Remedies and 5 Hopo Berries.

Request 30: A Beautiful Rose...

In the Crimson Mirelands, head to the Mirelands Camp. Talk to Berra, a lady in a blue outfit and holding a basket. She visits the Golden Lowlands to admire Roselia, a graceful Pokémon with red and blue flower, but observing them isn't enough for her anymore.

Berra asks you to show her Roselia's completed Pokédex entry. As learned in Part 2 of this walkthrough, you need to fulfill a certain number of research tasks to complete its Pokedéx entry. In the Crimson Mirelands, you can find them at Gapejaw Bog, Cloudpool Ridge and nearby, near Cottonsedge Prairie, and in massive mass outbreaks.

After completing Roselia's Pokédex entry, return to the Mirelands Camp and talk to Berra to show it to her. She reads through the entry and discovers that Roselia is poisonous! Despite its innocent appearance, Roselia is Grass/Poison-type and can definitely hurt someone who wasn't expecting it.

For helping her understand the beautiful rose (and it's thorns), she gives you 5 Grain Cakes and 2 Exp. Candy S.
