Trivia
Origin
Kurumayu is based on the larvae of the Epargyreus clarus, whom fold leaves over themselves for shelter as they age. As the larvae age, they eventually use silk to stick the leaves together instead of simply folding it over itself.
Name origin
Its name is likely a combination of 包む kurumu, to wrap up, and 繭 mayu, cocoon.
