Mollie's Chansey (Japanese: モリーのラッキー Mollie's Lucky) is Mollie's only known Pokémon. She is often seen outside of her Poké Ball.
In the anime
History
Chansey debuted in For Sure! 'Cause Sprigatito's with Me! by helping Liko when she almost fell over from the weight of the boxes she was carrying. Once Liko ran off to look for her missing Sprigatito, Chansey was left to carry the boxes, almost dropping them due to Liko running off abruptly.
In Found You, Fuecoco!, Chansey briefly battled against Zirc's Rhydon after Orla and Murdock returned to the Brave Olivine to fix up its balloon gasbag. Chansey rushed towards Rhydon with Pound, but was taken down by Rhydon's Rock Blast, after which Roy and Fuecoco stepped up to battle Rhydon.
In Arboliva's Forest, Chansey helped Mollie treat a Paldean Wooper whose Grass-type Pokémon friends were preventing Liko from doing so, afraid that she was trying to harm them, although Chansey and Mollie were successful in convincing them otherwise.
In HZ032, Chansey and Murdock's Rockruff joined forces to fend off the attacking Pokémon sent by Lucius's Lapras who were trying to steal their supplies. While intimidated at first, Chansey and Rockruff nevertheless pushed through to defend their airship, with Chansey focusing on Octillery while Rockruff battled Barbaracle.
In HZ038, Chansey helped Mollie give the Pokémon living at the Brave Olivine a routine check-up, and once Friede's Charizard came in, completely exhausted by helping the airship fly through a storm, Chansey gave it her egg to allow Charizard to regain its strength. She also helped heal Shuckle with Heal Pulse after it had gotten hurt by a thorn. Her actions also inspired Hatenna to learn Heal Pulse. Later, Chansey helped Mollie treat what they assumed was a Tandemaus, but it later turned out to be a family of four Maushold, with Hatenna mastering Heal Pulse to help treat them.
Personality and characteristics
Much like the rest of her species, Chansey is kind and caring towards both Trainers and Pokémon. Due to Mollie's duties as the doctor of the Rising Volt Tacklers, Chansey likewise assists her Trainer in helping others with any illness or injuries they might suffer. This also extends towards wild Pokémon, as seen in Arboliva's Forest, when she helped Mollie treat a Paldean Wooper. Despite rarely doing so, Chansey is able to hold her own in battle, as she helped defend the Brave Olivine from a pirate group of Pokémon at sea who were looking to steal their supplies. Nevertheless, her power has limits, as she wasn't able to measure up against Zirc's Rhydon.
