A Monsieur (Japanese: ムッシュ Monsieur) is a type of Pokémon Trainer introduced in Generation VI that can only be battled in the Battle Maison. They are depicted as older men dressed in sharp clothing and are the Kalos equivalent of the Gentleman class.
Monsieurs also appear in the Battle Chateau, though they are classified as a Baron, Viscount, Earl, Marquis, or Duke, and they give out large amounts of money when defeated. They can also appear as the Driver class in Lumiose City. Their female counterpart appears to be the Madame class.
