===In battle===
If an opponent uses a move with increased [[priority]] (including moves boosted by {{a|Prankster}}, {{a|Gale Wings}}, or {{a|Triage}}) that targets the Pokémon with Dazzling or its allies, Dazzling prevents the Pokémon from executing that move, after [[PP]] is deducted from it.

{{cat|Moves that target all Pokémon}} (except {{m|Perish Song}}, {{m|Flower Shield}}, and {{m|Rototiller}}) and {{cat|moves that target the opponent's side of the field}} cannot be blocked by Dazzling even if they become priority moves. Dazzling has no effect on allies' priority moves.

Priority status [[Z-Move]]s will have their Z-Power effect activate. For example, if a Pokémon uses Z-{{m|Baby-Doll Eyes}} on a Pokémon under the effect of Dazzling, the user will still gain Defense, but it will not lower the target's Attack.

{{a|Mold Breaker}}, {{a|Turboblaze}}, and {{a|Teravolt}} will ignore this Ability.

Priority moves called using {{m|Instruct}} retain their original priority, and are blocked by Dazzling. Non-priority moves called using Instruct with increased priority (for example, if the Instruct-user has Prankster) similarly retain their original priority and are not blocked.

Priority moves called using any {{cat|moves that call other moves}} are not blocked by Dazzling. If a move that calls other moves is used with priority, Dazzling will block the called move regardless of its original priority.
