Some Bulbapedia members have formed a [[Bulbapedia:Project|project]] to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about '''locations in the Pokémon world'''. =Project Locations=
==Scope and aims==
Project Locations covers all articles about locations in the Pokémon world.

The ultimate goal is to create and standardize articles for every location in the Pokémon world, ranging from popular locations ([[Cerulean Cave]]) to the obscure ([[Pokémon League Reception Gate]]). All locations in the Pokémon world fall under the scope of this project, except for numbered routes and major named routes, such as Hoenn's Jagged Pass or Kanto's Diglett's Cave, which are under the scope of [[Bulbapedia:Project Routes|Project Routes]], a subproject of Project Locations, as well as cities and towns, which are covered by [[Bulbapedia:Project Cities and Towns|Project Cities and Towns]], another subproject.

You can help by opening the [[List of locations by name]] and selecting any location in red (which means that there is no article for it yet) and starting that article, or opening any location that you can provide more information about. Additionally, the list itself needs expanding.

Most of the existing location articles need to be modified to comply with the project standard (see below). You can check [[:Category:Location stubs]] to see which articles need expanding.

A list of Pokémon that appear in this location as well as encounter rates and times of encounter if possible in table form, separated by Generation. The Pokémon should be listed by national Pokédex number, from lowest to highest. If the location has been in only one Generation, there is no need for a third-level Generation heading. See [[Route 1]] and [[Route 132]] for examples of tables.

If the location was featured in multiple versions and Generations of Pokémon, the differences between those should be discussed here.
