:Habieru, the administrator of the domain, is ''in theory'' reachable at hello[at]poketeca.com and habieru[at]pkstation.com, but I've sent three notices already to the first account in the last month without there being any answer, and the second one's domain no longer exists since at least March 2013. To my knowledge, Habieru no longer maintains Pokéteca.

I checked the Raltspedia site and...nothing was there! There's a new wiki called Pokéteca (which means Pokémon Library) which is operated by PkStation. No, it doesn't have all the Pokémon articles. According to a sysop, they do have a Creative Commons License, but it doesn't really say on the site itself. They have about half of the articles ''created'', but that doesn't mean they're all complete. There are also forums, etc.

:At this stage, there are several Spanish wiki's angling for consideration by Bulbapedia. At this stage, none are yet of sufficient size to really be considered for entry. Given what happened with Raltspedia (whom we gave assistance to get up to size with a bot to insert base values, IIRC), we're holding off judgment at this point in time. There is a possibility that Bulbapedia itself will launch a Spanish language edition, rather than entrusting it to another site. ::Well, maybe we ought to know the wiki's identity and its license before doing any once-overs. For example, the chances of a GNU-license wiki making it is a snowball's chance in hell (the chances are far better for, say, {{p|Heatran}} making the new [[Johto Pokédex]] in {{2v2|HeartGold|SoulSilver}}), and a wiki over on Wikia has a snowball's chance in hell compared to the previous example's odds. Hi, I'm one of the staffers of Pokéteca. The site has been unavailable for a good while -since at least July- ending now with the domain being dead as well. The creator and maintainer, Habieru, seems to be unreachable{{tt|*|there's a twitter account, but that's past me}} as well, and has not even mentioned Pokéteca since at least March. To my knowledge, the site closed without notice.

Pokéteca is, like most members of [[Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis]], an extension of a parent site, in this case, [[PkStation]]. Pokéteca was founded September 1, 2008 by Habieru, who desired to start a Pokémon wiki for Spanish-speaking fans of the series.

The current staff of the wiki consists of Bureaucrats Habieru, Hiro, Sumori Hose, and {{u|Shadow}} and Pokétecarios Kosen, {{u|Frika}}, Arqui, and {{u|CoolPikachu!}}.

Pokéteca, sometimes shortened to "Teca" by users, was admitted to the Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis in August 2009. The previous addition to the group was in December 2007, [[LANDpedia]]. Pokéteca uses mainly the Iberian dialect of Spanish, though there are several Latin American users.

Its Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis logo is brown, to represent the mascot {{p|Hoothoot}}.

The Pokédex - Extended Fanon Edition (or PEFE) is a project that aims to extend on the canon Pokédex articles and present a more realistic point of view on the Pokémon world. They do so by mixing and completing depictions and facts from the different available canons, and filling the gaps with sensible explanations. The aim is to write a "in-universe" guide to Pokémon.

The PEFE project is mainly hosted on the TvTropes wiki as of November 2012.

The project was started in a forum thread by ''Tangent 128'' on March 2010 gathering some articles that were indexed in the opening post of the thread. Members would sign up and start discussing potential articles, posting working revisions as well as definitive articles in the thread itself. In early 2011 the members started moving articles to a namespace in the TVTropes wiki proper for better organization, and the forum thread index was deprecated by February 2011. A jabber chatroom was added as well. On June 2012 a new wiki was created where some articles are being moved as of October 2012.

The '''Bug-Catching Contest''' is a competition held every [[Days of the week|Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday]] in [[Johto]]'s [[National Park]]. The Bug-Catching Contest is introduced in {{3v2|Gold|Silver|Crystal}}, and makes a return in {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}}.

==In the games==
There is no entry fee for the Bug-Catching Contest. Anyone may enter once per day on the days which the contest is held.

To compete, Trainers must {{pkmn2|caught|catch}} the single best {{type2|Bug}} [[Pokémon]] they can find. To do this, trainers are given twenty {{DL|Poké Ball|Generation II Poké Balls|Compé Ball}}s and allowed use of a single Pokémon of their party. The rest of a Trainer's Pokémon and any items they may have remain with the contest officials until the competition is over.

Any Pokémon caught will be recorded in the [[Pokédex]], but only one Pokémon can be kept to judge. The Pokémon that is judged may be kept after the competition.

If most of the rest of the population think inclusion of the forks are a mistake, I have no problem with the changes being removed. The "Order" section must be wrong. When I calculed Personality 3935877326(in decimal) by 24(decimal too) I got "14" - which correspond to order EAGM - but something was wrong. After 4 hours intense counting and trying I realized the ordering was wrong. The correct ordering was GEAM .

Is the species perhaps set somewhere else as well as in the Growth section? I've been looking at my entire lot of boxed pokemon on FireRed/Emerald (which can be seen [http://furlocks-forest.net/tools/pkmnfiletest2.php?mode=boxes&ver=firered here]) but some have all zeros in their species. It can't be a misread though as it's the decrypted data that shows zeros.

An empty slot in the party is all zeroes, except for the field marked "????" in the Pokémon structure which is, as far as I can tell, always 0xFF. Clearing a Pokémon in the middle of your party makes the rest unselectable, although they're still drawn in the party screen. The important factor is the monster's species -- ?????? (#0) is considered an empty slot. ? (#252-276) are not, but crash the game regardless. The exact same rules apply for boxes, but in only 80 bytes. Also, because the box manager has a cursor that can hover empty slots but the party screen has not, adding a party member while in the party screen makes the new one unselectable until the screen redraws. The game caches the party size, which is reset when the party screen is drawn, so the new one will be unselectable in the status screen too. Stupidly, when you ''remove'' a party member (by setting the species to zero), it remains selectable until redraw and ''will'' crash the game. Note that this research is done using my insight hack, but all that means is that I don't get Bad EGGs all over the screen. So, to reiterate:
* Slots are considered taken if the species is non-zero.
* Party size is cached and recounted when opening the party screen, likely also when recieving a new monster the proper ways.
* Party screen drawing ignores the cached size and just draws all six slots.
* Even so, you can't move the cursor beyond the cached size.
* #252-276 are non-zero so they count as party members - but they'll still crash your game.
* Incidentally, so does #412, which only serves to store the EGG image.

There are, however, some minor problems where I can not obtain the correct information. In particular, when decrypting the subdata structures, for ''any'' Pokémon whose subdata order index is 10 or 11, 16 or 17, the reported subdata order seems to be wrong. This section in my own words:

I'm a CS student from Chile and an Engineer in the making (''Yo! Champ!''), with experience in programing and systems design. I've been playing Pokémon since 1999 at school, where I introduced three or four friends to Pokémon Red. At this time, two of those friends still play Pokémon.

In my spare time I do web development for several parties, including a now halted project at PokéCommunity to create a ''Quality Fanfiction Archive''. I was taking the system development while the other members looked out for potential FFs and reviewers.

Also I write fanfiction for some universes including Final Fantasy (where my current work is [http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4199944/1/Final_Fantasy_VI_Scalar FFVI: Scalar] and Pokémon (where my current work is [http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=157499 Elusive Goals]). This section in my own words:

I'm a CS student from Chile and an Engineer in the making (''Yo! Champ!''), with experience in programing and systems design. I've been playing Pokémon since 1999 at school, where I introduced three or four friends to Pokémon Red. At this time, two of those friends still play Pokémon.

In my spare time I do web development for several parties, including an ongoing project at PokéCommunity to create a ''Quality Fanfiction Archive''. I'm taking the system development while the other members look for potential FFs and reviewers.

Also I write fanfiction for some universes including Final Fantasy and Pokémon. I have currenty three Pokémon fics in the making. Some of my works I've released in ''FF.net'' but unfortunately I've met no criticis (even destructive) yet.
