Shuckle (Japanese: ツボツボ Tsubotsubo) is a dual-type Pokémon.

Biology
Physiology
Being a mold Pokémon, Shuckle are encased in a very hard red shell that has many holes in it. Its body inside the shell is yellow and presumably very soft due to very limp muscles. Rather then actively hunting and foraging for food like most other Pokémon, it tends to collect berries and store them in their shells. The berries inside are liquefied and fermented by the Shuckle's digestive juices, which is then consumed by the Shuckle. These juices are also used to dissolve rock for the Shuckle to hide under.

Gender differences
None.

Special abilities
In Generation II, the player could attach a Berry to Shuckle. Over time, the Berry would become Berry Juice. If left attached to Shuckle even longer, it would become a Rare Candy.

Behavior
Habitat
Shuckle tend to hide under rocks and fallen logs for long periods of time.
In the anime
A Shuckle was one of the residents of Millennium Town in Pikachu and Pichu.

In A Better Pill to Swallow, an old man was using the Berry Juice that Shuckle makes to create medicine. One of the Shuckle that he befriended was a purple Shuckle whose Berry Juice attracted Pokémon to anyone who drank it. Because of this, Team Rocket made it their mission to steal it.

Butch's Shuckle debuted in Sleight of Sand!.

In the manga
In the Pokémon Special manga
Shuckle's major appearance is in 23, under the control of Orm. Orm manages to use one Shuckle to control a huge swarm of Shuckle and hold Green down, but once Blue takes out the leader Shuckle, the entire group formation falls apart.
Trivia
*Shuckle has the highest Defense and Special Defense stats of any Pokémon, with a max of 614 in them with beneficial natures.
**After using Power Trick, Shuckle has the highest Attack of any Pokémon with a max of 614 in it with beneficial natures (To compare, Deoxys's Attack form's maximum Attack stat is "only" 504.)
*Shuckle cannot learn any Bug moves, despite having Bug as its primary type.
*Shuckle, along with Munchlax, in terms of base stats, is the slowest Pokémon of all.
*In each sprite animation of Shuckle, the second frame always depicts its legs retracting into its shell. The Crystal animation also depicted its head retracting as well.
*A common thing for players to do is teach their Shuckle Double Team, Sandstorm, Toxic and Rest, to have a highly defensive Pokemon that can slowly pick off an opponent's team.
Origin
Shuckle seems to be based on an endolith, an organism that lives inside porous rocks or animal shells. Fungi, also known as mold, are common endoliths. This explains why Shuckle is the mold Pokémon.

It may also be based on scale insects – small, shelled parasites that produce a sweet fluid called honeydew (secretion) that attracts other insects.

Shuckle could be based on a barnacle as well.

Alternatively, it also seems to share similarities with a tortoise as well.

Name origin
Shuckle may be derived from shuck, to remove from a husk or pod. Its Japanese name is a repetition of 壷 tsubo, jar, or 富士壺 fujitsubo, barnacle.
Celebi (Japanese: セレビィ Celebi) is a Legendary Psychic/Grass-type Pokémon, first appearing in Generation II. It has only been officially available in the Japanese version of Pokémon Crystal (via Nintendo's Mobile System GB service, which was discontinued on December 14, 2002) and through the Japanese Pokémon Colosseum bonus disk, as well as various promotional events.

Celebi comes with the ability Natural Cure, which heals a status ailment when the Pokémon is withdrawn from battle.

Celebi does not evolve and is the last Pokémon in both the Johto Dex and National Dex within Generation II.

Biology
Physiology
Celebi is a green fairy-like creature. Celebi has round, toe-less feet, three-fingered hands and clear wings on its back. Celebi has a round head that comes to a point and sticks upward in the back, large baby-blue eyes with black rings around them and a pair of green antenna that are tipped blue.

Gender differences
Celebi is a genderless species.

Special abilities
Celebi has the power to travel through time. Celebi can restore plants to perfect health (an ability that is also accredited to Meganium). Celebi mainly attacks with suprisingly powerful Grass and Psychic attacks.

Behavior
Celebi, like Mew, is a very playful species in general. Celebi are extremely powerful despite their small size, another trait they have in common with Mew, although Mew are at least twice the size of Celebi. Celebi also can be very timid, despite their awesome power.

Habitat
Because Celebi travels time, it may inhabit many places. However, Celebi is generally associated with forests. Because of this, it is known as the spirit and guardian of the forest.

Diet
Main article: Pokémon food

In the anime
Celebi first appeared in Pokémon 4Ever. A Pokémon hunter was after it and Celebi traveled 40 years into future to escape from him; taking the young Sammy Oak along with it. Vicious eventually captured the Time traveling Pokémon in a Dark Ball and used it to destroy the forest. Ash and Sammy managed to snap Celebi out of The Iron Masked Maruader's control.

Celebi also made an appearance in Pokémon Chronicles. In Celebi and Joy, Celebi took Ritchie back in time to help stop the destruction of a Pokémon Center.

Celebi also appeared in Green Guardian. The Pokémon Ranger, Solana accompanied Ash and friends in helping the Time Traveling Pokémon.

In the manga
In Pokémon Special, Ruby has a Celebi that he tries to keep a secret from everyone.

In the TCG
Other appearances
Super Smash Bros. Melee
When a Pokéball is thrown, there is a 1 in 251 chance of Celebi appearing after all these requirements have been fulfilled:
*Unlock all 25 characters
*Unlock all 29 stages
*Beat all 51 events
*Unlock the score display (by reaching 5000 KOs.)
It does not affect the battle but the thrower of the Pokéball will earn a bonus and trophy of Celebi.
It may be based on a fairy or dryad.

Name origin
Celebi's name may be a combination of celestial and being. Celebi's Japanese name may be taken to be a combination of the English serenity and the Japanese bii, which translates to beautiful.
