Should it be worth mentioning this move has relations with DynamicPunch and Zap Cannon? Seeing as this move has 100 power and 50% percent accuracy like the two said moves? Also this move always burns the target just as DynamicPunch always confuses and Zap Cannon always paralyzes. This should be worth an article of move variations. Is there a move I am missing related to this move? --Brats817 19:59, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Ooops I just saw that Generation IV raised Zap Cannon's power to 120. But it WAS 100 in previous generations. Still DynamicPunch base power is still 100. --Brats817 20:01, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Well, it could be considered a variant of DynamicPunch, but not Zap Cannon, due to the power increase Zap Cannon got.--Black Yin Zekrom 20:03, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah I didn't remember Zap Cannon getting the power increase. Still, it has many similar effects. Only difference being the power increase and it paralyzes opponent. But yeah the power increase won't make it an exact move variant of Purgatory and DynamicPunch anymore. The only differences being the type of status affliction on the opponent. But would it still be worth mentioning as a possible variant of Zap Cannon too due to it having a power of 100 before Generation IV? Not in the move variants though just in the trivia section. --Brats817 20:09, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

I think it's worth mentioning about its relation to Zap Cannon. Despite the slight power difference, both have an accuracy of 50%, and will cause a status ailment if it successfully hits (Zap Cannon causing Paralysis, Dynamicpunch causing Confusion, and Devastate causing Burn) --Rt117 22:06, 31 December, 2010 (UTC)

Something Really Weird
Ok, something weird just happened in my game. I have an AR DS, and I used a glitch that lets you turn TM 17 into any move by tossing out heart scales, so I got Volt Tackle. Now, here's the weird part. The cheat lets you get any move, but it does NOT modify movesets (ex. Empoleon can't use a Fire-type attack). So, the movesets stay the same, which is REALLY important here. I booted up the modified TM, (which seems weird since I don't have a Pikachu) and it said CANNOT LEARN for everyone in my party except my Electivire! This means that, somewhere in the game's code, Electivire was programmed as able to learn Volt Tackle! It's weird, but true. Therefore, I'm adding it to the page, but with "Method Unknown". If someone feels this is inappropriate, please state why here, then delete it, but I'm putting it on. User:Ph34rshallriseagain
:ARs screw up your game. That's why. XD; But.. if it's in the game's code... hmm. Tina δ♫ 00:22, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I had my game examined, and apparently it's actually in the game's code. Also, like I said, the movesets weren't disrupted. Otherwise, my Dialga would've learned Flare Blitz... User:Ph34rshallriseagain
:Pokebeach has answers:
:"There are 12 unique, default maps in the Johto Safari Zone to switch around and explore for Pokemon. Each map has six zones. You switch around the maps on the computer outside the Safari Zone and can even make your own, though we haven't explored this yet. In HeartGold, we can confirm Geodude, Graveler, Magnemite, Magneton, Misdreavus, Murkrow, Magmar, and Kangaskan are capturable. Some of the Pokemon are encountered more often on specific maps. For example, you can find Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Arbok, and Ekans far more often on the swamp map. On the planes map, you encounter Girafarig, Rattata, Abra, and Smeargle more commonly than anywhere else (perhaps exclusively for some of them). This information is subject to change as we play through the Safari Zone. Remember, the Kanto Safari Zone has been replaced by the Pal Park." --Ryuutakeshi 08:07, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Block Upgrade Notification?
I got a call from Baoba today, and he said something about the catchable Pokémon changing in one of the areas. Now, I believe it was a block upgrade he was notifying me about, but that seems to clash with the info in the article, especially since he mentioned that somehow you could get the original Pokémon back... Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? I thought that if I'm correct, perhaps this should be added to the article. -•Palkiajosh•
Inaccurate Maximum Block Upgrades?
There's a guide on GameFAQs (found here) that states:

"After a certain amount of time, Blocks will level up if left in an area. This will allow one Block to count for up to 7."

This would contradict what the article currently says (that the maximum possible value for any given block is 4). Now, normally I would question the guide instead of the wiki, but the guide matches our current data perfectly, as well as lists several statistics which we currently have labeled as "Unknown". The question is, which is correct-- are there only 3 possible upgrades, or is there 6? If I had any other sources, I would personally update the page, but, as it is only one source, I thought it would be better if it were checked out thoroughly by someone besides me. --VW5rbm93bj8/Pw== (dEBMaw==) 17:11, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Page says "Northeast of Cianwood City, on Route 48," however, the Johto map shows it as being northwest of Cianwood. Sealeo's entry under the mountain area has a Banette sprite. This should probably be changed to a Sealeo sprite, right?
Block Upgrade Notification?
I got a call from Baoba today, and he said something about the catchable Pokémon changing in one of the areas. Now, I believe it was a block upgrade he was notifying me about, but that seems to clash with the info in the article, especially since he mentioned that somehow you could get the original Pokémon back... Anyway, has this happened to anyone else? I thought that if I'm correct, perhaps this should be added to the article. -•Palkiajosh•
::Actually, now that I've re-read it, none of it does. == Inaccurate Maximum Block Upgrades? ==

:As far as I can tell, the article here never mentions that the numbers written on here are the maximum at all. The website you provided is correct, however putting information in this article gotten from them would be stealing from them, which is why I didn't do it a long time ago. The numbers listed on here are the upgrades necessary to get all Pokemon out through blocks. Any day count past that I couldn't prove myself, so therefore is not included yet (until someone who can, adds it) (Yaminokame 01:19, 25 April 2010 (UTC))
::Then should we slap an incomplete template or something on here until we get the info? 梅子❀✿ 01:26, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
:::Sounds good to me, I probably should have done that earlier but I had never thought about it >.< The only thing I'm afraid of is inviting someone to go copy off of another website :/ Which I guess is bound to happen eventually anyways, so no sense in worrying about it :p I would say it's a good idea :) (Yaminokame 01:30, 25 April 2010 (UTC))
