'''Sandgem Town''' (Japanese: '''マサゴタウン''' ''Masago Town'') is a location in the region of [[Sinnoh]], the featured area in the [[Generation IV]] games, [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl]]. It notably has sandy terrain to the south of town, the beginnings of [[Sandgem Beach]]. The beach is part of [[Route 219]], and is in close proximity to the town itself. [[Professor Rowan]]'s laboratory is here. It is also the hometown for [[Dawn (game)|Dawn]] or [[Lucas (game)|Lucas]], depending on which character the player chooses for themselves. Also, the little sister of Dawn or Lucas gives information about swarms she sees on television. It is the first location in Sinnoh where [[Poké Ball]]s are able to be purchased. It smells of the salty scent of the sea.

The population of Sandgem Town is 18 people.

Katrina was the character of the day in [[AG011]], ''A Bite To Remember'', a Ranger.
She had three [[Mightyena]] and a [[Poochyena]]. She used the four of them to protect the area [[Ash]] and company were in, which was a Pokémon reserve. She takes care of injured Pokémon until they are better. At the end of the episode, her [[Poochyena]] evolved, due to fighting off [[Team Rocket]]. And, of course, [[Brock]] was hitting on her the whole episode, too.

Katrina was the character of the day in [[AG011]], ''A Bite To Remember'', a Ranger.
She had three [[Mightyena]] and a [[Poochyena]]. She used the four of them to protect the area [[Ash]] and company were in, which was a Pokémon reserve. She takes care of injured Pokémon until they are better. At the end of the episode, her [[Poochyena]] evolved, due to fighting off [[Team Rocket]].

After that, the player will engage in battle with a level 2 or 3 Poochyena. After defeating it, the Professor will take the player to his lab and tell the player to go to [[Route 103]] to meet the rival. After that, start towards [[Oldale Town]], the first town with a [[Pokémon Center]]. At the north of town the player collects a pair of running shoes from the player's mom.

Head from [[Oldale Town]] north to [[Route 103]]. On the way, the player will meet a [[Pokémart]] salesman. Talk to them to get a free [[potion]]. After that, head north, and the player finally will battle with the player's rival.

So follow her back to the Pokémon lab, where the Professor will give the player 5 [[Poké Ball| Pokéballs]]. Leave [[Littleroot Town]] again, head to Oldale Town and you can now buy some items at the [[Pokémart]]. After that, head west and leave Oldale through [[Route 102]].

After battling, head north-east to pick some berries. After picking, head west for more trainers.

After beating her, head south to pick up a item. Then head back north and continue west. The player will arrive at [[Petalburg City]]. Head to the [[Gym]], but the player's dad (the [[Gym Leader]]) says he can't battle the player until the player has 3 [[badges]], so instead tells the player to go and help [[Wally]], the player's second rival, to catch a Pokémon, [[Ralts]].

Follow him outside to [[Route 102]] and watch him catch a [[Ralts]]. This part does not require user interaction. After helping him, follow him back to the [[Gym]]. Now the player will be able to exit [[Petalburg Town]] via [[Route 104]].

Head west on this route out of Town.
