'''Legendary golems''' is the collective term used to refer to the [[Legendary trio|trio]] of {{p|Regirock}}, {{p|Regice}}, and {{p|Registeel}}. They are also known as the '''Regi trio''' or just the '''Regis''', based on their names.

Unlike previous trios, the golems share very similar names, and their types are further estranged from the original {{t|Fire}}, {{t|Ice}}, and {{t|Electric}} that the [[legendary birds|birds]] take on (two of the [[legendary beasts|beasts]] share types with the birds, while only {{p|Regice|one of the golems}} does). Like them, however, these three have a master (and like the beasts, a creator) in {{p|Regigigas}}.

Also shared among the members of this trio is a weakness to {{type2|Fighting}} moves. Each has seven dots for eyes, arranged in a different pattern, similar to the [[braille]] that is connected to their legend. Unlike the birds and beasts, the golems do not have {{a|Pressure}} as their ability, though they do share the ability {{a|Clear Body}}.

In the anime and outside ''[[M08|Lucario and the Mystery of Mew]]'', they appeared as somewhat less important than the previous two trios, even being trained, in [[Poké Ball]]s, no less, by {{FB|Pyramid King|Brandon}}, while the birds are said to cause a cataclysm if even one is captured (as happened in [[M02|the second movie]]) and the beasts are unable to be captured by conventional means.

One of the many reasons why this trio is seen as "easily attainable" is because of the legends surrounding them. Long ago, Regigigas is said to have pulled the continents into place, and then created the three from an icy mountain, rocks, and magma in its image. Regigigas was apparently worshiped at one time, alongside the other three, by ancient people. Due to it being so powerful, Regigigas was sealed away in the basement of [[Snowpoint Temple]], while the ones it created were spirited to the far-off [[Hoenn]] region and locked away in three stone structures, which were then sealed themselves. A message was left in braille to whoever would come to discover the [[Sealed Chamber]], whose only access was via an [[underwater]] cavern, in the hopes that one day the Pokémon could be {{pkmn2|Caught|tamed}}.

In the Hoenn [[Generation III]] games, Regirock is found in the [[Desert Ruins]], on Route 111. To encounter Regirock, the player must go two steps to the right, two steps down and then use {{m|Strength}}. Regice is found in the [[Island Cave]], on Route 105 and to encounter it a clockwise lap around the walls of the cave must be taken. Registeel is found in the [[Ancient Tomb]], on Route 120 and it is required to go to the middle of the room and use {{m|Flash}} to open up Registeel's cave.

It also has fluffy, green fur on its back, which looks just like grass; and small yellow seeds are nestled within the hairs. Its spine is flexible, allowing it to quickly curl itself up with ease. Shaymin is the smallest legendary Pokémon to date. As first revealed by Japan's CoroCoro Magazine, Shaymin has [[Form differences#Shaymin|two forms]]. The first (Land Form) is the original form seen in [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions]]. The second is a new Sky Form which debuted in ''[[Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin]]''. Shaymin will automatically change into this form if it comes in contact with a [[Glacidea Flower]], but has been seen changing form at will in its {{pkmn|movie}}. Shaymin can't be in its Sky Form at night or if it's [[Frozen]]. Shaymin's Sky Form has a canine-like appearance. Its neck is covered in fur tufts and its tail is stubby. The fur on its back appears to have shifted into a mohawk. It has two red petals on one side of its neck, looking like a scarf or neckerchief of some sort, and flat wing-like ears. However, if any poison is sucked into its flowers, it will seemingly explode. Before Shaymin's Sky Form was officialy revealed, a photo of a drink tumbler decorated with several Pokémon, including Sky Form, was shown on a [[Pokémon Festa]] page. The page was taken down moments afterward, because Shaymin's new form was accidentally shown to the public. Several people had already known about the tumbler already, however. It was assumed and later proven that it was Shaymin's Sky Form.

A hoax perpetrated by PurpleKecleon, an artist on deviantART, brought a version of Shaymin's Sky Form, with a more feminine appearance than its real Sky Form, to the fandom. This fake Sky Form was passed around several Pokémon websites and assumed real until [[PokéBeach]] confirmed that it was fake.

===Leaking===
Before Shaymin's Sky Form was officialy revealed, a photo of a drink tumbler decorated with several Pokémon, including Sky Form, was shown on a [[Pokémon Festa]] page. The page was taken down moments afterward, because Shaymin's new form was accidentally shown to the public. Several people had already known about the tumbler already, however. It was assumed and later proven that it was Shaymin's Sky Form.

Shaymin is based on a {{wp|hedgehog}}. Its white body and the grasslike fur on its back makes it somewhat resemble a {{wp|chia pet}}. Its Sky Form shares traits with a {{wp|terrier}} and a {{wp|reindeer}}.

Its name may come from the word ''{{wp|shame}}'', as it is a very shy and elusive Pokémon. It may also be derived from ''{{wp|shaman}}''. The English name also is a slight alteration of its Japanese name. Its katakana name contains 実''mi'', which means ''seed'' in Japanese. Furthermore, its name may be a combination of 感謝 ''kansha'', thanks or gratitude, and 針鼠 ''harinezumi'', hedgehog.

Who I really am... I'm an 18yo male from Dublin, Ireland. I'm in college studying education and training and no, I don't think i'm too old to watch or play Pokémon so there.
