As I'm sure many of you know, Egg and BAD Egg are separate species, 494 and 495 in DPPt respectively. Is this relevant enough to give them their own separate articles? I mean, most other glitch pokemon have their own articles. I calculated that both of their base stat total is 10 all around, giving them the o=lowest base stat total of 60, they are both normal types, they can only learn splash through level up and neither are compatible with any TM or HM. Additionally, in platinum, Egg's in game cry is identical to that of Shaymin Sky Forme. Both of their menu sprites appear as in both the party and PC. Skaisdead 16:33 June 22 2009
Egg Cycle mechanics
It is mentioned that receiving or hatching an egg reduces the egg cycle count for all eggs in your party, but after some experimentation, I have a couple things to add to that: #1, When this happens, it resets the step counter for each egg to zero. #2, if the eggs would hatch, the cycle count is instead set to 1 and the step counter is reset. This means that if you have an egg that is one step away from hatching, and another that is two steps away, when you take a step, the first egg will hatch and the second will take an additional 255 steps. #3, If two eggs would hatch at the same time, the first in the party hatches, resetting the other to 1 cycle with 255 steps to go.
| . . . p . . . |
My research was done in Pearl by walking a certain number of steps with an egg, then depositing it in a box until I was able to have an entire party of eggs with very similar egg cycle counts. After the first one hatched, each additional one took exactly 255 steps. Additionally, on a separate occasion, I had a group of eggs I was trying to get closer together in terms of hatching time, though much less systematically. I took note of the order in which they hatched (2,1,3,4,5), then reset the game. I deposited the first hatcher (#2), thinking I would put some extra time on the others and bring the it back into my party. However, as I left the PC, an egg that should not have been due (#3) hatched almost immediately. This supports my above theories: When I let #2 hatch in the first playthrough, it reset the step counter of all eggs and decreased the egg cycles of them by 1—except #3, for which it was set from 1 with a few steps left to 1 with 255 steps left. Presumably, egg #1 was also set to 1 egg cycle with 255 steps, which would suggest that eggs set to hatch at the same time are hatched in order of party position with the other(s) being reset.
| . . . p . . . |
Additional research should be easy to do, now that there are a few working hypotheses. If anyone can posit an alternative set of conclusions to draw from the information I provided, I'd be interested in hearing it. — AsbestosBill 17:43, 11 April 2012 (UTC)
The reason I removed the trivia piece about Chatter causing Chatot to be banned from the Global Union is because there's no reason to assume this. It's not like Nintendo could've been worried about foul language, because as the article already states, Chatter distorts anything you record with it. == Just to clarify (regarding my removal of a piece of trivia) ==

The reason I removed the trivia piece about Chatter causing Chatot to be banned from the Global Union is because there's no reason to assume this. It's not like Nintendo could've been worried about foul language, because as the article already states, Chatter distorts anything you record with it. I was going to put this in the edit summary, but in the midst of correcting a typo, I accidentially hit "enter" and it submitted the edit. <small>- unsigned comment from [[User:Missingno. Officer Jenny (Japanese: ジュンサー Junsar) is the name by which the police officers who use Pokémon in their duties are referred to. Her Japanese name is a play on 巡査 junsa, police; policeman.

In the anime
Officer Jenny is not a single entity. Rather, there are dozens and dozens of Jennys working as police officers across the regions.

As a rule, Officer Jennys are brave, determined, but ineffective police officers who fight against the likes of Team Rocket, Team Magma, Team Aqua and Team Galactic - along with miscellaneous other criminals.

They are not entirely identical, though aside from themselves, it seems that Brock is the only one who can tell them apart. However, each Jenny will have a different symbol on her hat that indicates location. There seem to be two Viridian Jennys, as during the Indigo League, two Jennys with the same hat symbol were seen side-by-side. (We know that the symbol in question--a star--indicates Viridian due to previous episodes.) One of the Viridian Jennys maintains a fierce rivalry with the Jenny of Eterna City.

Supposedly, they are all extremely similar-looking relatives - cousins, sisters, etc. However, fans have proposed various other theories has been suggested for the strange phenomenon - everything from time travel, to cloning, to the Officer Jennys being Pokémon themselves. However, they are all voiced by the same person. In Japanese, they are voiced by 西村ちなみ Chinami Nishimura. In English, they are voiced by Megan Hollingshead ( dub, EP002-AG040), Jamie Davyous Owens ( dub, AG065-AG142) and Emily Williams (PUSA dub, AG156-present). In the Brazilian dub, they are voiced by Raquel Marinho (seasons 1-7) and Gilmara Sanches (current).

Although there are many exceptions, Officer Jenny will generally have Growlithe to use as a police dog.

There is a very distinct parallel between the families of Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy. This may indicate some sort of relation or deeper connection, and fans have sometimes speculated about such. However, the only thing known about the two families is that they are apparently on good terms.

Ash's Squirtle was given to an Officer Jenny who fights fires. It is the leader of a group of four other Squirtle known as the "Squirtle Squad", who serve as the local firefighting team.

In Luxray Vision!, Marble, a young Officer Jenny, appeared. She was in charge of looking for "The Bandit Beauties Three." She was also voiced by 西村ちなみ Chinami Nishimura in Japanese. She owns a Luxray.
Nurse Joy (Japanese: ジョーイ Joy) is (or are) kind nurses who take care of Pokémon. As revealed in Drifloon in the Wind!, Joy is not the first name of these women, but actually the family name. Her Japanese name is a play on 女医 joi, woman doctor. They are based on the game Nurses.

In the anime
Nurse Joy is not a single entity. Rather, there are dozens and dozens of Joys working at Pokémon Centers across the regions. Nurse Joy's voice actresses are 白石文子 Ayako Shiraishi (EP002-EP229), 山口由里子 Yuriko Yamaguchi (EP245-DP022; DP051-present), and 井上喜久子 Kikuko Inoue (DP025-DP050) in the Japanese version. They are voiced by Megan Hollingshead (4Kids dub, EP002-AG040), Bella Hudson (4Kids dub, AG042-AG144), and Michele Knotz (PUSA/DuArt dub, AG146-present) in the English version. The two young Joys from Drifloon in the Wind were voiced by 能登麻美子 Mamiko Noto (Marnie) and 日笠山亜美 Tsugimi Higasayama (Paige) in Japanese and Sonny Dey (Marnie) and Hilary Thomas (Paige) in English. Nurse Joy was also played by Diane Stillwell in The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon. In Brazil, Nurse Joy is voiced by Fátima Noya.

As a rule, Nurse Joys are kind, earnest, honest Pokémon nurses who take care of sick and injured Pokémon.

They are not entirely identical, though aside from themselves, it seems that Brock is the only one who can tell them apart. However, each Nurse Joy will have a different color cross on her hat that indicates which location she works at.

Supposedly, they are all extremely similar-looking relatives - cousins, sisters, etc. However, fans have proposed various other theories has been suggested for the strange phenomenon - everything from time travel, to cloning, to the Nurse Joys being Pokémon themselves.

There are some notable Nurse Joys that are very different from the others: the muscle-bound kayak-riding Nurse Joy in the Orange Archipelago, for example. On top of that, all the Nurse Joys of the Orange Archipelago have a darker skin tone than the ones found in any other region, probably an effect of living in such sunny weather. Then, there is the Nurse Joy who led an excavation team made up of Machoke, Rhydon and archaeologists to find Kabuto fossils to revive them.

Although there are many exceptions, Nurse Joy will generally have Nurse Joy to assist her. In fact, Chansey's evolution added in Generation II, Blissey, appears physically similar to Nurse Joy. Further driving home the connection, Blissey's Japanese name can be taken to mean "Happy Nurse".

There is a very distinct parallel between the families of Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny. This may indicate some sort of relation or deeper connection, and fans have sometimes speculated about such. However, the only thing known about the two families is that they are apparently on good terms.

In addition, Nurse Joys give out Starter Pokémon to trainers in towns or cities without Pokémon Professors. Slateport City is one such town.

Nurse Joys also judge Pokémon Contests and the Grand Festivals.
Deoxys (Japanese: デオキシス Deoxys) is a Psychic Pokémon. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

Deoxys has four different forms. In Generation III, its form depends on what game is being played. In Generation IV, its form can be changed at will in Veilstone City.

Deoxys is the last Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex and National Dex within Generation III.

Biology
The shape of Deoxys is based on a strand of DNA.

Physiology
Deoxys has four forms, each with different appearance. The main things that are constant for all four forms is that Deoxys's dominant color is orange with a bluish-green face that has a purple stripe where a nose would be and white circular eyes and the crystalline organ in its chest:

The Normal Forme has skinny legs that come to a point. The upper-legs have a single blue stripe that goes down to the knees. Deoxys can sometimes have bluish-green arms with five-fingered hands and a red "Y" shape that runs down the arms' entire length. It has an orange skin that covers it except for its abdomen. It also been seen with two cord-like tentacles (one red and one blue) in place of the arms. Deoxys also has two trapezoid-shaped "ears".

The Attack Forme has basically the same leg-shape as the Normal Forme, but the stripes run down for mostly all of the legs' length and Deoxys has a spike on each of its knees. Deoxys has a pair of tentacles that come to a point were its arms would be and cannot be twisted. Deoxys has triangle-shaped "ears" and a single spike on top of its head. Most of the orange "skin" has disappeared.

The Defense Forme has wide legs that are somewhat flat at the end and have a bluish-green spot on each of the knees. Deoxys has flat, broad tentacles that also can't be twisted and Deoxys' head has been fused with its body. Its "skin" has thickened and covered all of its body parts for greater defense.

The Speed Forme has gray, skinny legs and a gray body. Deoxys only has one tentacle on each side of its body. The back of Deoxys's head is elongated and comes to a point. It has also lost most of its orange "skin," allowing for better aerodynamics and faster movement.
Gender differences
Deoxys is a genderless species.
Special abilities
Deoxys mostly has the same abilities as Mewtwo and the aforementioned ability to change its appearance to suit whatever situation it may be in during battle. Destiny Deoxys shows a Deoxys creating duplicates of itself to help achieve its objective.

Behavior
Deoxys tend to keep to themselves, but befriend humans they trust.

Habitat
Deoxys was a virus resting in a stray meteor, and while it flew through the atmosphere, the virus mutated into Deoxys.

Diet
Pokémon food

In the anime
Deoxys first appeared in Destiny Deoxys. One with a green crystalline organ fell to earth in a meteorite. A second Deoxys (with a purple crystalline organ) came to City to search for it but ended up in an epic battle with Rayquaza. As Emerald had not been released when the movie was produced, only its Defense, Normal and Attack Formes appeared.

In the anime, Deoxys's cry was a loud but short foghorn like blast.

Deoxys also appeared in the special episode Pokémon Ranger - Deoxys Crisis!. This is where Deoxys's Speed Forme debuted.

In the manga
In Pokémon Special
Deoxys plays a major role in the events of the FireRed & LeafGreen chapter. During the disaster in the previous chapter, Team Rocket infiltrated the Mossdeep Space Center and stole a virus that had been exposed to a laser beam while in space, then ended up attached to a meteorite. In their care, the virus split into two entities and developed into two separate Deoxys, appropriately named Entities 1 and 2. While the leaders of Team Rocket stayed on in Hoenn, other members took the two Deoxys back to Kanto. The team transporting the Deoxys were startled when the Deoxys began to change forme (as Normal and Speed forms had been previously documented) and Entity Two took advantage of this and escaped, accidentally absorbing some of Red's blood in the escape. Giovanni used the weaker Entity One to capture Blue's parents and Professor Oak. Red was tricked into battling Entity Two, who defeated him but was captured by Giovanni. Around this time, Team Rocket managed to duplicate the climate of Hoenn and allowed Deoxys to transform into all of its formes. Giovanni used Entity Two to locate his son, Silver and set out for Viridian City. Red came to Giovanni, and challenged him with Mewtwo. Ultimately triumphing due to Bill shutting down the Hoenn climate machine on Five Island, Giovanni revealed that he disposed of Entity One and Yellow used her abilities to inform Red of his link to Deoxys. When one of the Team Rocket members tried to usurp control, Deoxys transported Giovanni, Silver, Yellow, and Mewtwo out of harm's way before helping Red to regain control of the ship. As the disaster ended and all of the protagonists reunited, Sird tried to capture Deoxys, but ended up turning the heroes to stone. Entity Two then sped towards a distant region in hopes of being allowed to freely transfer between formes and locating Entity One.
Trivia
* The Attack Forme of Deoxys has the highest Attack and Special Attack of any Pokémon.
** Likewise, the Speed Forme of Deoxys has the highest Speed of any Pokémon.
* Deoxys's first three forms, Defense, Normal, and Attack have the initials D.N.A., the initials of deoxyribonucleic acid, which Deoxys is named and based after. Interestingly, the initial for its Speed Forme, S., is the only letter in Deoxys's name to not be found in its name's origin. This may be because Deoxys was not meant to have another forme, other than Normal, Attack and Defense.
* All of Deoxys's forms are available in Diamond and Pearl; however, unlike Generation III, they can freely be changed in-game by inspecting the meteorites in Veilstone City.
* Deoxys is the final Pokémon in the Hoenn Dex, yet it was first in the wild in a Kanto-based game. Likewise, the final Pokémon in the Kanto Dex, Mew, was first found wild in a Hoenn-based game.
* When recruited in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Deoxys will be in its Normal Forme when playing in the overworld, however, when exploring a dungeon, Deoxys's form will be randomly selected each time the player progresses to a new floor.
* In Pokémon Ranger, Deoxys's form changes every time its Browser entry is accessed. It cycles in order from Normal Forme to Attack Forme to Defense Forme to Speed Forme and finally back to Normal Forme.
* Deoxys was the first Pokémon to have its own unique battle music. The second Pokémon to have its own unique music was Arceus. All other legendary Pokémon share battle themes with at least one other.
* Originally, all of Deoxys's different "formes" were thought to be spelled as "form." However, after Giratina's Origin Forme was revealed, fans went back to check Pokémon.com, and the Official Emerald Players guide (published in 2005) to find that "forme" has in fact always been the official spelling.
* Some fans believe Deoxys to have been loosely based on the Glitch Pokémon Missingno., given Deoxys's viral nature, its location on a southern island, and the presence of four forms (MissingNo. is a Glitch Pokémon, is most commonly found at Cinnabar Island, and has four forms, though unlike Deoxys, it cannot change between them).
* In its Generation III Normal Forme sprite, its arm is on its right side, while in Generation IV the arm is on its left. Additionally, in Generation III, it only is shown with four fingers, while in Generation IV, it has five.
* Because of numerous events such as the Gamestop givaway, the Aurora Ticket, and the Movie Ten giveaway, Deoxys is the most common event Pokémon, along with Manaphy.

Events
Because of the results of a poll among fans, Deoxys was given away along with pre-ordered tickets to Japanese theater showings of The Rise of Darkrai. It is holding NeverMeltIce, a reference to the fact that Deoxys's first appearance in Destiny Deoxys is in Antarctica.

Deoxys was distributed at GameStop on June 20-22, and June 27-29. It knows Psycho Boost, Zap Cannon, Iron Defense, and ExtremeSpeed and is holding NeverMeltIce.

Origin
Deoxys appears to draw inspiration from certain representations of aliens and visual representations of the DNA double helix.

Name origin
Deoxys's name is an abbreviation of DNA, or DNA, the medium of genetic code in many cellular organisms.
The weather trio is, for lack of a better defining characteristic of the three, the name of the legendary trio made up of Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza. They are officially referred to as the Super-ancient Pokémon (Japanese: 超古代ポケモン Chōkodai Pokémon), although the Japanese anime has applied this term to Fossil Pokémon as well.

Although several non-legendary Pokémon, notably Tyranitar and Abomasnow, have abilities that can alter the weather conditions, and the Golduck family is capable of having an ability that can stop them altogether, Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza's abilities were the first sight of these Abilities with effects on weather conditions in the games. This makes them the only legendary trio to not share one universal ability.

Unlike Pokémon with moves like Sunny Day and Rain Dance, where the weather changes to another for only five turns, the abilities of the legendary trio cause their weather effect for the remainder of the battle, or until the weather is changed again in some way. Rayquaza's, however, only lasts as long as it remains active, and removes the battle effects of any weather on the field, leaving it to just be a pretty-looking environmental effect.

They do not appear to have a master, though Rayquaza seems to serve as the leader of the three internally, doing the same in Pokémon Emerald that Lugia does in The Power of One.

Strangely, this is the only legendary trio whose members do not all have the same base stat total; Groudon and Kyogre share a total of 670, while Rayquaza's is 680.
