HELP!!!! I used an AR code to walk OUT of Amity Square WITH a pokemon (shroomish) traveling with me in Diamond. I accidentally saved. Does ANYONE have an AR code to remove a partner walking with you?!?! I cant fly or surf! And I have a hard time catching anything! I cant use my fishin rod either! So, I was reading [[PS211]], and it shows a flashback with Norman and Ruby's mom talking over his contest battles. In the flashback, it goes to a panel showing a young Ruby in his room, sleeping with a Skitty (Coco), and ''just'' a Skitty. Does that mean that Coco would be Ruby's starter Pokemon? ==Exbo's Page==

Firstly, pardon my rudeness, but since when was it ever a rule that jpg images couldn't be uploaded into the database? It's a perfectly fine (not to mention ''permitted'') image format, so there's no reason to undo, much less '''delete''' the image unless you want to hear people seriously bicker.

Then, check how Exbo fires a large stream of fire from the flame lit on his shoulder when Aibo supports it with Gold's cue, and then look when he performs Blast burn later to destroy the Kyogre monster. Same stance, same effect, and even Guile states that the attack's firepower was like nothing he'd seen. It's a clearly cognate case with his future usages of the technique, including in the HGSS arc. An attack doesn't have to be flat-out shouted for us to know what it is (that's like saying that because Red didn't physically order a Solarbeam against Zapmolcuno, it was just a standard attack >_>).

And about Exbo's attack, well think about it for a sec, Gold had been training during that time, plus Aibo powered it up with the pole cue. The only time that we saw two attacks look the same (besides Zuzu and Silver's Feraligatr, who just fire their water attacks from their mouths) was Green's "Blasty" firing off its Hydro cannon from the shoulder cannons only in the Emerald chapter due to an oversight. I ''highly'' doubt that Kusaka would have Exbo's Blast burn and Flamethrower look exactly the same if he planned to introduce them both in the exact same chapter (remember, Exbo never launched a Flamethrower in the GSC chapter), not to mention that we have Gold and Silver fire off their ultimate attacks in the first damn round in the HGSS arc anyway. Plus, plenty of higher-grade attacks debut before their weaker counterparts. For example, Saur used Solarbeam against the Machoke before he used Razor leaf (ane even Leech seed), Blasty was seen using Hydro pump long before it used Water gun or Bubble, and in volume 8, Totodile used Slash before it used basic attacks like Scratch, Zuzu used Earthquake before it used Mud shot, etc.

Then, back to the point about few attacks looking the same, even Exbo's Flame Wheel and Ember attacks looked distinctly different (despite their powers not differing that much), so why would either Kusaka or Yamamoto make two '''radically''' different attacks look the same unless they wanted to add in a crapload of confusion? o_0

Last note on this subject. Volume 1 may have descriptions of Red's original three Pokémon, there are no nicknames listed. I notice that you were the one to revert my edits to the clothing page, especially with regards to the new screenshots I placed in. I'm not trying to get into an editing war with you, but I want to know why you felt the old pictures were better than mine.

The section is about Ash's clothing, and I felt it's better if pictures that featured Ash in that suit "front and centre" is more appropriate. The one with Ash's red suit had him in the corner tilted diagonally, and the one with Ash's purple suit was a faraway shot that made him very small. I felt the ones I used are more suitable for that page's purposes.

Hello there,

I'm a pretty new member on this wiki, and I'm very glad to be an editor here. I do have a question on the Userspace policy, though: is there a specific minimum number of edits before one can create a small userpage for themselves? I'm curious, because if there is one, it's not stated anywhere that I've found.

Since my knowledge of the topics at hand is limited to mainly the original series anime and the games, I'm having a little bit of a hard time finding things I feel like I have enough know-how to edit, but I don't mind. Also, making a Userspace page for myself isn't really a concern for me, as I don't care either way, but I ''am'' curious about that one thing.

According to a map that Misty owned, Gringey City was originally bustling with activity, but the city eventually over-expanded the factories and power plants, resulting in the town becoming virtually abandoned as well as the sea nearby becoming polluted.

Gringey City was featured in the episode ''[[EP030|Sparks Fly For Magnemite]]''. [[Ash's Pikachu]] was sick, later determined to be caused by a problem with buildup of electricity in the creature's cheeks, and the nearest [[Pokémon Center]] was located there. An uncharacteristically ill-tempered Nurse Joy greets Ash. She initially snaps at him for not taking better care of his Pikachu, but eventually agrees to let it recover there. There are other Pokémon also recieving treatment there, including a {{p|Growlithe}} and a {{p|Spearow}}. Suddenly, the power in the town goes out. This was due to a large amount of {{p|Grimer}} clogging the tunnels that deliver water to power the hydroelectric generators. Pikachu, however, refuses to stay at the [[Pokémon Center]], and insists on following Ash. It is later revealed that Pikachu is afraid that Ash will abandon it.

Ash, Brock, and Misty go to investigate the power plant and restore normal operations. It is implied by Joy that, "if those kids don't get the power back on soon, I don't know what's going to happen to these Pokémon."

In the meantime, [[TRT]] has made an appearance, and decides to take advantage of Pikachu's sickness and the power outage to capture it. For some reason, they need to swim through the polluted water to get inside the power plant. Bringing external oxygen pump diving suits, Jessie and James begin to make their descent. Meowth is left to operate the pump; however, he gets distracted, and [[Jessie]]'s and [[James]]'s oxygen supplies are summarily cut off. After making it back to dry land, they abandon their scheme.

As soon as they enter the building, Pikachu attracts the attentions of a Magnemite, and the cause of its sickness is clarified. This Magnemite follows Ash's Pikachu, visibly blushing in its presence and acting as though it is in love with Pikachu. This episode contains one of Ash's accidental word-swaps, saying that Magnemite must be a "streaker." Brock hurriedly corrects him.

It was here where Pikachu notably came down with a 'cold' caused by a build-up of electricity. This attracted a Magnemite thanks to the sparks coming out of Pikachu's cheeks, which in turn made Pikachu magnetized.

The group eventually encounters a group of [[p|Grimer]], and a particularly odorous [[p|Muk]]. Ash accidentally offends the leader by covering his nose from the stench. The entire group of Pokémon is angered, and they chase after the three. Running from the Muk, they eventually reach the control room, where several other Magnemite and a Magneton aid them.

Pikachu, along with the {{p|Magnemite}} and several {{p|Magneton}} were able to ward off the Grimer. They also weakened a {{AP|Muk}}, which Ash ended up capturing.

The power is restored and the waterways cleared. The residents left in the city say that they will work hard to clean it up and make it beautiful again.

It's likely that Gringey City is based on Kanto's [[Power Plant]] in the games, since Muk was added to the Power Plant in {{game|Yellow}}.

The episode begins with {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} sitting in the [[Pokémon Center]]. While there, Ash gets a phone call from {{an|Professor Oak}} on the PC phone. He informs Ash that his [[Pokédex]] is now upgradeable. Ash uses a device within the PC to recieve the upgrade. Ash, Misty, and Brock sit at a nearby table and begin to discuss the {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} that they wish would hatch out of the mysterious {{pkmn|egg}} that Ash found [[EP046|back at the Pokémon Fossil Canyon]]. Naturally, they all say their favorite Pokémon; Misty wants a {{type2|Water}} and Brock, a {{type2|Rock}}.

The discussion concludes and they leave the Pokémon Center. Just outside, they find the {{TRT}} posing as egg sellers. The three have a whole basketful of eggs that look just like Ash's mysterious egg. Team Rocket tries to talk them into trading or buying one of their eggs and when the group politely refuses, [[Jessie]] and [[James]] resort to throwing all of their fake eggs in the air. The real egg, that Brock was holding, gets stolen in the confusion caused by the multitude of look-alikes.

Team Rocket runs out of sight, escaping with the real egg! Ash, Misty and Brock are stuck with a fake. Meanwhile, in Team Rocket's small hiding shack, {{MTR}} takes care of the egg. While it is in Meowth's possession, the egg is lavished with attention and care. Meowth sleeps with it, sings to it and even eats with it, guarding it from anything he feels might damage or harm his new charge.

The three young adventurers follow a trail of broken red blue and green eggshells until they reach the shack in which Team Rocket is hiding. They decide to burst in, even though it may be dangerous to do so, and get the egg back.

Ash sends out {{AP|Pidgeotto}}, Misty sends out {{TP|Misty|Staryu}} and Brock sends out {{TP|Brock|Geodude}}. They all quickly explode into the shack, surprising Team Rocket. James sends out {{TP|James|Weezing}}, who gives a {{m|Poison Gas}} [[Move|attack]], making Ash and others cough and gasp for breath. The person in possession of the egg at this point is obscured by the gas. The characters all lunge for the little white egg. The egg is tossed up and down frantically, much like in a game of football! Through much controversy among the shack's occupants, Pikachu ends up with the egg and gives it back to Ash. At that moment the egg begins to glow and break open, beginning to hatch.

Misty, enthralled with this new event, jumps in, pushing everyone else out of the way to get a closer look at the hatching Pokémon. When she does get ahold of it, the egg hatches, revealing a new, unidentified Pokémon. Ash and others are all surprised, especially Team Rocket, who instantly want to steal it. Ash points his newly updated Pokédex at the Pokémon, identifying it as a {{p|Togepi}}.

Togepi, unlike other Pokémon, will not bond with just anybody, to Ash's and Brock's disappointment. To everyone's surprise, the baby Togepi chooses Misty! Because Misty is the first thing that the Pokémon saw after hatching, it thinks that Misty is its mother.

This newly hatched Pokémon causes quite a fuss among the group. Ash feels that he should have it because he found it; Brock feels it should be his because he cared for it before Meowth; Meowth wants it because he looked after it just before it hatched; Jessie and James both ''just want it!'' Meowth points out to them that his partners didn't do anything to help in Togepi's growth. Misty feels she should have it, as Togepi likes her best. They all decide to have a Pokémon tournament to determine who should have Togepi.

Meowth panics because he has no Pokémon, and goes and asks Jessie and James for theirs. They refuse, as he didn't let them participate in the tournament; Meowth then remembers that he ''is'' a Pokémon and decides to battle for himself. After the draw, the final match ends up being between Misty and Ash, in their first battle since [[Cerulean City]]. Ash sends out {{AP|Bulbasaur}} and Misty attempted to send out Staryu, but instead {{TP|Misty|Psyduck}} popped out. Misty instructs Bulbasaur to attack Psyduck on the head to worsen its chronic headache, but Ash decides to use Bulbasaur for a different manner, and commands it to lick Psyduck on the head and tickle it until Psyduck went back in its Poké Ball. Ash and Meowth battle, but it is cut short after one {{m|Thunderbolt}} by Pikachu. Thus, Ash is the winner of the tournament. Jessie and James drag a crisp, sobbing Meowth away. After the tournament, Togepi still doesn't want to go with Ash, or Brock, instead still choosing Misty.

** Thank you very much for this warm welcome. The information is also helpful, thank you - there were a couple things in your list that I hadn't checked out yet. I will definitely check out the manual of style and the wikicode - I also frequent the TV Tropes wiki quite often, so I apologize if I mix up their codes somewhat at first.
