{{Synopsis cleanup}}
<!--More details needed-->
Ash and company are moving towards [[Rustboro City]], but May isn't happy. Wanting another break, she slows down, and everyone decides to take another break. However, when she leans back onto a tree, she discovers that the tree bark has been torn in many places. Speculating as to what is going on, Max suggests that a Pokémon battle had taken place. Ash seemed to agree, but later discovers part of a net embedded into one of the trees. Meanwhile, Max discovers that a Pokémon Center is nearby, and Brock proceeds to lead everyone else there.

Arriving at the Pokémon Center, they meet [[Nurse Joy]]. Before Brock can make his moves on her, May, believing that it is the same Nurse Joy from [[Oldale Town]], tries to greet her, but is surprised when Nurse Joy does not recognize her. As Max tries to tell her that Pokémon Centers are run by a family of (nearly) identical-looking Nurse Joys, [[Officer Jenny]] and her {{p|Growlithe}} appear to ask whether Pokémon had recently been admitted to the Pokémon Center, due to the activities of a poacher, named Rico, nearby. As Max also explains to May that Officer Jennys are also (more or less) identical, Ash presents Officer Jenny with the part of the net that they had found. Officer Jenny, with a lead on Rico, then asks Ash and company to return to where they had found it, and everyone leaves the Pokémon Center in haste.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket are on a hill overlooking the Pokémon Center. As they plan to trap Ash and company when they return (using their "patented pitfall trap"), Meowth slips and rolls down a hill. At the bottom, he finds a tarp covering a large object, and uncovers that it is a cage full of {{p|Ekans}}. Learning that the Ekans had been caught and abused by a Pokémon poacher, Meowth tries to free them, but find that their cage is electrified. At this point, Jessie and James (riding {{TP|Jessie|Arbok}} and {{TP|James|Weezing}}) arrive. Outraged at how the Ekans are confined, Jessie orders Arbok to use {{m|Acid}} to free the Ekans, but Arbok is reluctant to attack (due to itself being once an Ekans and feeling compassionate for its own kind, Meowth claims). After being reassured that the Ekans will not be harmed (with the intent to take the Ekans in themselves), Arbok once again begins its attack (with Weezing throwing a {{m|Sludge}} to help). However, before they can attack, they are themselves attacked by a {{p|Fearow}}.

The Fearow's trainer then arrives in a jeep. Introducing himself as Rico, a Pokémon poacher, he explains that the Ekans were his. Per his client's wishes, he is to poach {{type2|Poison}} Pokémon (including the cage full of {{p|Koffing}} he has in tow), with a bonus for every evolved one he can get. He allows them to leave unharmed - if they left Arbok and Weezing to him. Having gone through so much with Arbok and Weezing (James claiming that the two were like brothers), and motivated by the Ekans and the Koffing, they refuse, and Arbok and Weezing prepare to defend themselves as Rico then orders Fearow to attack. Fearow easily dodges Arbok's {{m|Poison Sting}} and Weezing's {{m|Smog}}, and lands a {{m|Fury Attack}} on both. When Fearow tries to finish off Arbok with a {{m|Drill Peck}}, however, Arbok catches its beak with a {{m|Wrap}}. Just then, Rico withdraws Fearow for a {{p|Pupitar}}, who proceeds to use {{m|Sandstorm}} to send Team Rocket flying. Claiming that Arbok and Weezing were too weak for their efforts, Rico leaves to poach more Pokémon.

Meanwhile, Ash and company have arrived back at where they had found the net. Max discovers tire tracks, and Brock surmises that Rico must not have gone too far. Ash then takes out {{AP|Taillow}} to search from the sky. Elsewhere, Team Rocket makes a hard landing, and Jessie is particularly incensed at Rico, and vows to free the Ekans and Koffing at any cost. James, who is also incensed, agrees to use a classic Team Rocket "sting operation". As if on cue, a swarm of {{p|Kakuna}} and {{p|Beedrill}} appear, and Team Rocket run for cover. Ahead of them is a {{TP|James|Cacnea}}, who brushes the Beedrill off with a {{m|Pin Missile}}. After thanking the Cacnea with a bag of treats, Jessie and James are resigned to the fact that Rico may have been long gone. However, Arbok, with its body to the ground, could still sense that Rico is near. Saying their goodbye to Cacnea, they run off to get their revenge.

In the meantime, Taillow has located Rico in his jeep, and returns to Ash and company with its results. Rico is still driving along when Arbok appears from the ground. Before he can take his poaching gun out to subdue Arbok, a layer of smoke appears, caused by Weezing. Using Fearow to blow the smoke away, he discovers that Meowth had use the {{m|SmokeScreen}} to sneak in and pick the locks to the cage (claiming that years of being attacked by Pikachu had allowed him to withstand the electrified cage). When Fearow tries to attack Meowth, Arbok responds by using {{m|Headbutt}} to send Fearow into the cage, knocking it out. Meowth manages to open the cage and free the Ekans and Koffing, just as Arbok and Weezing knock the poaching gun from his hands.

Angered, Rico sends out Pupitar, who promptly evolves to a {{p|Tyranitar}}. Before Team Rocket can make an attack, however, Tyranitar attacks with its own {{m|Hyper Beam}}. With no way to stop Tyranitar, Jessie has an idea, and sends out {{TP|Jessie|Wobbuffet}} in an attempt to {{m|counter}} Tyranitar's Hyper Beam. However, Tyranitar quickly knocks out Wobbuffet before it can set up an attack. The explosion from the Hyper Beam does not go unnoticed by Ash and company, who try to rush to the scene.

With no other choice (having been boxed in by multiple Hyper Beams), Jessie and James orders Arbok and Weezing to leave with the Ekans and Koffing, while they themselves buy some time to allow them to escape. Though reluctant, Arbok and Weezing do so. Rico, trying to prevent their escape, tries to use another Hyper Beam to cut them off, but Meowth attacks with a {{m|Fury Swipes}} to the face, which briefly interrupts the attack before he eats the Hyper Beam himself. Jessie and James also use their "Fury Swipes" to stall for time, which, although they get battered in the process, allows Arbok and Weezing leave with the Ekans and Koffing. Eventually, however, Tyranitar prevails over the Team Rocket trio, and Rico simply brushes them aside to look for the escaped Poison Pokémon.

Before Rico can make any headway, however, he encounters Ash and company, as Officer Jenny tries to arrest him. Sending out Fearow to resist arrest, Fearow is quickly knocked out from a Pikachu {{m|Thunderbolt}}, while Growlithe knocks the gun and Tyranitar's Poké Ball from his hands. With Rico unable to evade arrest, Officer Jenny orders him to let go of the Pokémon he has poached, only for him to tell her that the Pokémon he had poached had escape, thanks to "a bunch of fools". Ash remarks how, with bad guys like Team Rocket around, there are still good guys in the world.

Later, Jessie and James are walking along the forest, wondering if Arbok and Weezing had managed to evade Rico. Although Meowth claims that years of battling Ash's Pokémon had hardened them against any threat, they are still uneasy. Just then, the same Cacnea reappears, carrying the same unopened bag of cookies. When James asks if the Cacnea would want to follow them (as he is opening the bag for Cacnea), Cacnea happily obliges, poking James as it hugs him. Though they have lost Arbok and Weezing, at least Team Rocket had (literally) caught themselves a new Pokémon...

=== Errors ===
*At one point, when Rico orders his Fearow to attack, he tells it to use "Fury" rather than {{m|Fury Attack}}.
*[[Rico]] was able to recall his {{p|Fearow}} despite the fact that it was under the effects of {{m|Wrap}}.
Some Bulbapedia members have formed a [[Bulbapedia:Project|project]] to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about '''Pokémon species'''. If you would like to help, please inquire on the [[{{NAMESPACE}} talk:{{PAGENAME}}|talk page]] or the [http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/forumdisplay.php?f=195 Bulbapedia forum] and see the [[{{NAMESPACE}}:{{PAGENAME}}/To-do list]].
==Project Pokédex==
===Scope and aims===
'''Project Pokédex''' covers all articles about Pokémon species. Its goal is to produce the most comprehensive database on all Pokémon, from basic information on to the most technical aspects possible. It will also encompass any Pokémon Trading Card Game information, any relevant Anime information, and any other canon information which is relevant.
===Structure===
The best example articles for structure are {{p|Bulbasaur}}, {{p|Charmander}}, and {{p|Squirtle}}.

The Pokémon species articles are increasingly complex. However, to keep articles organized, the names, order and content of the sections should be according to the model below.

'''Refer to this model frequently when adding sections to a Pokémon species article, as the names, order and content of sections are all being standardized in all species articles. If you would like to update the model, please do so with regard to both the flow of the article and the standards set forth in Bulbapedia's {{bp|manual of style}}. Please consult other participants of the project on the talk page before making major changes to the model, particularly any regrouping or reorganizing of categories.'''

====Article model====

=====Full=====
The article should start off with the [[Template:PokémonPrevNext]] bar, followed by the Pokémon Infobox, followed by a general description of the Pokémon, including any special points (such as if it's a starter Pokémon in any games), a brief description of its abilities, and levels or ways in which the Pokémon evolves.

After this, it can be broken into three sections: general information, game statistics, and other information. Note that it is not broken down into these three sections within the articles themselves. Also note that the text for sections should not be indented within the text editor - it is merely indented here to aid in showing the hierarchy of sections.

'''General information'''
----

'''<nowiki>==Biology==</nowiki>'''
<br>Information in these subsections '''must''' be derived from a canon source, such as the Pokédex entries or the Pokémon anime. '''All speculative information will be removed.'''<br>
:'''<nowiki>===Physiology===</nowiki>'''
:A description of the Pokémon's physical structure, possible related Pokémon based on similarities, and any physical adaptations the Pokémon has made to its surroundings. Physical variations among members or groups of the species can also be noted here.
::'''<nowiki>====Gender differences====</nowiki>'''
::Any notable difference between males and females in the species, as one would note by comparing the Diamond and Pearl sprites. Alternate gender counterparts, such as with the two genders of Nidoran, are also linked to in this section.
::'''<nowiki>====Special abilities====</nowiki>'''
====Tables within the articles====
Basic formatting for a Pokémon species article table is as follows:
<br>! Heading
<br>! Heading
<br>|-
<br>| Content
<br>| Content
<br>|}

Replace the "COLOR" with the template for the color code of the Pokémon's primary type - or, if their primary type is Normal and they have a secondary type, the color code of the Pokémon's secondary type. The template's name is the type name and "color". For example, <nowiki>{{grass color}}</nowiki> is the template for a Grass-type Pokémon.

===Goals===
# Expand Pokémon pages to have at least a paragraph of information about a Pokémon, preferably background information on that Pokémon. The {{p|Bulbasaur}} page is a good example of a simple introduction paragraph.
# Add all locations in all games, including the side games ([[Pokémon Snap]], [[Pokémon Pinball]], [[Pokémon Pinball: Ruby/Sapphire]], [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon]], [[Pokémon Trozei!]], and [[Pokémon Ranger]], to name some of the more important ones).
# Add all movelists.
# Add [[Pokédex]] text info from games, where applicable.
# Add Biology information to each Pokémon species article.
# Add information on any appearances in the anime, including the specific episodes.
</pre>
Rarity and Area refer to how common or uncommon a Pokémon is. What precedes them are the initials of the versions that the specific instance applies to, [[Pokémon Red and Blue Versions|RB]], [[Pokémon Yellow Version|Y]], [[Pokémon Gold and Silver Versions|GS]], [[Pokémon Crystal Version|C]], [[Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire Versions|RS]], [[Pokémon Emerald Version|E]], [[Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions|FRLG]], [[Pokémon Colosseum|Colo]], [[Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness|XD]], [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Versions|DP]], [[Pokémon Platinum Version|Pt]], [[Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions|HGSS]]. For example, whatever is entered into the frlgarea should be where the Pokémon can be found in FireRed and LeafGreen. Likewise, frlgrarity should be how rare the Pokémon is in FireRed and LeafGreen. If only one is found, such as is the case with {{p|Mewtwo}}, put "One". If it can only be found through evolution, put "None" and for the area prompt put "[[Evolution|Evolve]] (pre-evolution)", replacing (pre-evolution) with the name of the Pokémon it evolves from. Likewise, if it is only available through breeding, put "None" and in the area prompt put "[[Pokémon breeding|Breed]] (evolutions)", replacing (evolutions) with the Pokémon that must produce the egg.

Rarity defaults to "None", Area defaults to "[[Trade]]". Therefore, if it can only be found through [[Pal Park]] in Diamond and Pearl, this must be entered in the dparea prompt. If a Pokémon is only available in one of a pair of versions, put the version it is available in in parentheses after the area.
Some Bulbapedia members have formed a [[Bulbapedia:Project|project]] to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about [[glitch]]es. If you would like to help, please inquire on the [[Bulbapedia talk:Project GlitchDex|talk page]] or the [http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/forumdisplay.php?f=195 Bulbapedia forum] and see [[Bulbapedia:Project GlitchDex/To-do list]].
==Project title==
===Scope and aims===
Project Glitch Pokémon covers all articles about glitch Pokémon.

The aims of this project are to write comprehensive articles on glitch Pokémon (and greatly improve existing articles on glitch Pokémon), including specifics on how to obtain them, base stats, type advantages, level-up moves, TM/HM lists, and sprites. Our main sources of information will be [http://www.glitchcity.info] and [http://www.trsrockin.com].
