A Final Smash (Japanese: 最後の切りふだ Final Trump) is the most powerful move available to playable characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. Each has their own personal Final Smash, which is activated by obtaining a Smash Ball. Due to the nature of the Final Smash, Smash Balls are a unique item in that they must be attacked several times to obtain them. Once a player has the Smash Ball, their character will begin to glow until they activate the Final Smash; during this time, the Ball can be stolen by attacking the player who possesses it.

No more than one Smash Ball or Final Smash can be on-screen at any given time.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, the Trophies for each of the characters' Final Smash are only available in the Wii U version.
A ball of blue energy surrounds Pikachu. Pikachu can then fly through the air, hitting and heavily damaging its opponents. The player may also press the standard attack button to increase the mass of the energy ball, causing more damage to be inflicted at the cost of the attack becoming harder to control.

Trophy Information
Brawl
"Pikachu, transformed into a ball of light that can slam into foes. It can also fly to chase down those who try to jump out of range. Sparks get stronger if you press the attack button. However, its increased inertia makes midair movement tough. If you get carried away flying, the effect will end, and you'll destroy yourself. Be careful it doesn't happen to you."
Lucario can also slightly damage opponents if it comes into contact with them while jumping up at the start of the Final Smash.

Trophy Information
"Lucario's Final Smash. After flying off the screen, it reappears in its center. It then launches a powerful Aura attack against all foes within a certain distance. The key to the attack is the ability to change its angle--it's a must to sweep slowly left and right to hit the selected foes multiple times. The last blow will send the victim flying away."
It inflates itself until it fills the stage and then deflates. Anyone touching Jigglypuff when it reaches its maximum size will be sent flying. Puff Up works best on smaller stages like Smashville or Final Destination.

There is a Regenerating terrain glitch that allows Jigglypuff to remain this size on certain stages such as the Bridge of Eldin (using it in the Portal), though Jigglypuff will be sent offscreen for a KO if it moves around too much.

Trophy Information
Brawl
"Jigglypuff's Final Smash. It wills its body to get bigger and bigger and bigger. It can't move, and it can't attack--all it can do is grow bigger while everyone else looks on. However, it's invulnerable, and it overpowers all attacks to gradually push opponents off the screen. It's a very simple technique, but how it's used determines its effectiveness."
Replacing Aura Storm from Brawl. Using the power of Mega Evolution, Lucario can temporarily transform into Mega Lucario, which enhances its Aura to maximum. This allows Mega Lucario to use its Aura attacks at full power unlike the normal circumstances where Lucario had to take heavy damage first.
Using the power of Mega Evolution, Charizard can temporarily transform into Mega Charizard X. As Mega Charizard X, Charizard can gain a speed increase and similar abilities to Yoshi's Final Smash Super Dragon where it can continuously fly as well as being able to shoot Fire Blast from its mouth that can prevent the opponent from moving and cause multiple hits from direct damage. Another attack Mega Charizard X can also use is Dragon Rush that can also cause multiple hits from direct damage. The player can also control the direction Mega Charizard X charges in when the control stick is pushed in that direction.
NA: In Lucario's Final Smash, it Mega Evolves into Mega Lucario. The attacks it can use don't change, but its Aura abilities become more powerful than ever, letting it deal more damage and launch opponents farther. It can also resist being launched by other fighters, but the more attacks it takes, the sooner it will transform back.
The attacks it can use don't change, but its Aura abilities become more powerful than ever, letting it deal even more damage and launch opponents even further. It can also resist being launched by other fighters, but the more attacks it takes, the less time the Final Smash lasts.
In this form, it can charge violently in any direction or shoot horizontal blasts of fire that launch foes. Mega Charizard X isn't invulnerable, though-in fact, taking damage will actually reduce the time you can stay transformed.
Starting with a strong drop kick, Greninja uses Mat Block to send its opponent into the air where under a full moon, Greninja as a shadow can strike its opponent multiple times at high speeds before ending it with another powerful drop kick. This Final Smash can also be used to strike against multiple targets simultaneously.
NA: In Greninja's Final Smash, it uses its Mat Block move to flip opponents into the air. It then slices them repeatedly in front of the bright moon before smacking them back down to the ground and launching them. The inital Mat Block flip doesn't have much range, but should it hit home, the rest of the attack is unavoidable.
He originally appeared in the series when being summoned from a Poké Ball, and later became a playable character in Brawl, first as a part of the Pokémon Trainer's party, and later as an independant character in subsequent installments.

Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee
Charizard appears as a Pokémon that can be randomly summoned from a Poké Ball. When Charizard appears, it attacks the enemies of the player/team that summoned it with a scorching Flamethrower while turning its head from left to right. The attack deal 6% damage per flame in both games.

Trophy information
It's hard to believe, but this massive Flame Pokémon evolves from the tiny Charmander. Not only can it fly at heights of over 4,500 feet, but its flaming breath is hot enough to reduce almost anything to ashes in seconds. The flames at the end of a Charizard's tail are said to be a fairly accurate barometer of its power.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Charizard is playable as a member of Pokémon Trainer's party, along with Squirtle and Ivysaur; the three Pokémon act as one "fighter" that is unlocked from the start. Compared to its teammates, Charizard is heavier, but boasts a range of hard-hitting moves, such as Rock Smash, and long range moves, such as Flamethrower. However, while its dash speed is slightly above average, it has the slowest walking speed in the game, and despite its ability to fly, its overall aerial game is subpar. Charizard is knocked back slightly more by water attacks (such as Squirtle's Waterfall), and slightly less by grass attacks (such as Ivysaur's Vine Whip).

As a member of Pokémon Trainer's team, Charizard is bound by the mechanics of Pokémon Trainer (Super Smash Bros.), which was implemented to encourage the player to switch the Trainer's active Pokémon periodically. This effectively prevents the player from relying on using any one team member exclusively.

Its Final Smash in Brawl, which it shares with Squirtle and Ivysaur, is Final Smash, in which Pokémon Trainer sends out all three of his Pokémon and has them unleash their strongest attacks on the opponent. In Charizard's case, it fires several Fire Blasts.

Subspace Emissary
Charizard is not in Pokémon Trainer's party from the start. The Trainer travels to find and catch both Ivysaur and Charizard to add them to his team while helping Lucas find Ness, who had sacrificed himself so the blond psychic could escape from Wario. Pokémon Trainer eventually finds the two Pokémon, defeats them in battle, and captures their Trophy in his Poké Balls. Charizard itself does not play a role in the story after this point.
It's a proud Pokémon that will never use its flame breath on an opponent weaker than itself. The flame on its tail is a barometer of how much vitality it has remaining. Charizard returns as a standalone playable fighter, similar to Sheik and Zero Suit Samus. This time around, it can Mega Evolve into Mega Charizard X as its Final Smash. In addition due to it now being a standalone character, Rock Smash is now its down special move, replacing Pokémon Change, while a new special move Flare Blitz replaces it as the side special move that also damages it.. It also now has a new up throw (resembling Seismic Toss as used by Ash's Charizard) that works as one of the strongest throws in the game (balance patch 1.0.8 onwards). Charizard has been completely rebalanced from Brawl; its overall damage output and attack speed have decreased, but it is also much more mobile and has more versatile air, grab and defensive games. While it is a better individual character than in Brawl, it is also hampered by the inability to switch to Ivysaur or Squirtle for certain matchups.
I saw your comment about a separate page for the Memory Girl. I've actually been doing some research on memories over the past few days since there's so little information about them out there (even Serebii doesn't have a page on them - HA!) Obviously as a new user I can't create the page myself, but if you could do it I'd be more than happy to contribute my findings. One thing though - should we have separate pages for the Memory Girl and the memory feature itself, or should everything be kept on one page? The memory page would have a list of all possible memories and feelings as well as what triggers each memory; I'm not sure if that would be too much to include on the character page or not.--♪ Rebel Rebel, how could they know? Hot tramp, I love you so! ♪ 17:30, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
And our lists are the same as the ORAS text dump, excepting the absence of a few memory indices in the text dump that apparently have no data (06, 09, 0C, 10, 15, 19, 1F, 2A, 2C, and 3C). Are you fluent with Japanese and have access to the Japanese version of Wobbu-Palooza!? There are two characters named Shinji and Yahichi who are created on my userspace. I can't tell who they are as their names were only listed in Pokeani and in a Japanese-related matter. Awhile ago, Solar Dragon and I had a disagreement over Deoxys being the first event-exclusive to no longer be as such. I asked Arc about it, but she was undecided. You've since altered Deoxys' trivia so that it's not an issue, but it still is for Zorua and Zoroark. I believe this page is ready to move to the mainspace as it is. However, the associated template, Sdex (could be renamed to "ShDex" since Sdex is reserved for Sinnoh), might still use an improvement I want to ask about. Are we working to get the Pokémon Shuffle images on the Wiki for use instead of the other images in there? I know some fan sites already have all of them, but assume we are adding our own copies.
Style/anime appearances
Hey there, SM!

I wanted to ask:

1. Do photos of Pokémon count as appearances? Such as on Sandile's page.

2. And regarding style, shouldn't the subsection Other on a Pokémon's page under the section Anime appearances be a subsection of Major appearances? For example Mantine's page hasn't Other as a subsection. But the real questions is: is it really necessary for that section to exist, if under the Major appearances section does not appear a link to a Pokémon which has its own page such as Pikachu or Dewgong? Because Other refers to other Pokémon than the one which has its own page, right?

:#I think I've asked Kenji-girl about this before, and she said photos count as minor appearances. I forget how we handle statues though.
I've been figuring out how Eggs hatch across the generations and I've now added that all to Egg cycles. I made an update to Template:Eggcyc in my userspace, and I'd like to ask you to look at it and, if you think it's alright, edit the changes into the protected mainspace template. Or if you have any questions or concerns about the template, I'm more than happy to hear those, too.

(I haven't tried to replace all of the templates used within Eggcyc with their equivalent code, but perhaps you may wish to do that, since I know it's been done in other cases. ::It's worth asking, do you even have a Gen VI game, and have you tried to evolve Malamar? You don't seem to have said that you personally evolved Malamar without doing anything special, which should be the obvious point of contention. And if you don't have personal experience that something is wrong, rather than making a big assumption and removing it from the page, it's better to post a comment on the talk page explaining your apprehensions instead. :::Actually, no. But I can't just believe that you need to evolve a Pokémon using your gyro sensor. It would be confusing to those who are new to Pokémon, except if Nintendo or The Pokémon Company really said it in public (they would have said it in a trivia). But nah. I am now believing in you two. I hope Nintendo won't think this way of evolution in the future, even though it is for promoting the 3DS. Because it will become confusing. ::::For the record, I saw his undoing of your edit, and he confirmed that its true. He literally did say after all that his Inkay never evolved even past level 30 when he didn't hold his 3DS upside down, and only did so once he hold his 3DS in an inverted position. There isn't really a need for complete references here, especially since Goodra and Sylveon are both examples of Pokémon that have weird evolution requirements as well that have been confirmed via gameplay. EDIT: Also to note that in regards to this evolution requirement, other websites seem to agree here. :::::Let me chime in that I have attempted to evolve Malamar and did not turn the system upside down in time. It appears you have to have it upside down as the level is gained. If it's upside down at the correct moment, even if turned back around before you see the evolution screen, then it will evolve. Just turning the system upside down right before the expected evolution screen is not enough to evolve it. It could, but the reason I removed it is because I thought it looked odd to list the stages, then list the Legendaries, then list the stages again. And it's right to list the Legendaries. CycloneGU (talk) 17:46, 26 April 2015 (UTC)
Adding after a test: this might work, but again requires noting the TOC where we want it on the page. It doesn't look right listing it after the Legendaries, as I noted, because I determined noting where they are there (to save people hunting through the tables and for ease of reference) doesn't make sense to come before the list. The default location without the marker is right before the first header, which would not make sense.
I already confirmed the Arceus one myself, as I had Normal on Thursday (April 30), Fighting the next day (yesterday), and Flying today. So, in other words, we could put this to a calendar. We can use that switch in the Bastion of Beginnings table at Legend Terrain.

I can't confirm any of the others, but if you were to play and get Arceus today, see if it's Flying type. My suspicion is that the data is set the same for everybody for these things so everyone has the same experience the same day. I wonder if the Deerling/Sawsbuck types are also affected by this, hence why I only found Winter form; I'll do stage revisits to that locale someday after I finish the Arceus hunt for all 18 (and Mew!). CycloneGU (talk) 16:07, 2 May 2015 (UTC)
:Following up, I am doing research at Mediawiki on pulling the remainder from a division operation. If an 18 element switch is programmed (something like Shaymin's page calculations on showing its Sky Forme; Genesect also uses a switch, as does Castform), and I can get that remainder bit figured out, I can experiment in my sandbox and see if I can get a formula working as I'll have everything I need at that point; dividing the date subtraction by 18 and pulling that remainder is what will determine the type that shows in the table next to Arceus on that page load. For instance, May 2 minus April 30 is 2, divide by 18 is 2 remainder (obviously) and thus the player gets a Flying-type (I got that today, and it's May 2 LOL); May 31 minus April 30 is 31, divide by 18 and remainder is 13, thus Psychic-type will appear on May 31; June 23 minus April 30 is 54, divide by 18 is clean with no remainder, so Normal-type will appear on June 23. This would update directly into the table. Obviously I'll copy the table to my sandbox for experiments once I have the remainder information and figure out the formula. What's the order for the types to appear? Identical to the list in-game when you go to filter by type.
:The only question from there is if changing the 3DS system date wrecks it or makes Normal Arceus always appear. Genesect and others might also use days calculations; Unown definitely requires experiments once I finish getting all of the Arceus. Hello, I would like your confirmation on a certain subject. In this episode in the Japanese dub, it basically confirms that pokemon of the same gender are unable to act that way (being attracted to each other) normally (like in the games). Brock says this when looking at Pikachu and Piplup.

But, I was watching a subbed version of the episode though.

Still, I decided to listen carefully about what he was saying. While staring at Pikachu and Piplup, he mentions to the others that pokemon with the same (onaji) something being impossible (arienai) to act that way. The only thing about Pikachu and Piplup being the same is their gender, so I thought it was correct. Plus, the machine that made the pokemon act that way manipulates the move attract to make even pokemon of the same gender able to feel the affect for each other.

I asked Umeko this already, but I'm not sure if that user was active anymore though (since 2014? I'm not sure). Can I have your confimation about it though? I want to be sure about it as some sort of connection to the games too.-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 12:06, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
StreetPass and ORAS
Both times that you've edited the StreetPass article, you've removed the part of the intro where I put that it is (a unique) part of the ORAS games. I really don't feel this is right. The functionality within the ORAS games is patently different from the system functionality (most egregiously in that it very much does not require people be in local wireless range) and should have equal billing, so to speak. Tiddlywinks (talk) 10:22, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
:First of all, I think equating a method of communication with an in-game feature because they share a name is inappropriate. The article should be about the communication method, and any stuff about the ORAS game mechanic can be mentioned in its own section or another article.
:However, I don't see where that feature of BuzzNav is referred to as "StreetPass" in the game. The manual mentions that it collects StreetPass data, but it makes sure not to call the function as a whole "StreetPass". I'll admit, I haven't used BuzzNav much, but from the in-game prompts, it appears to refer to it as "updated news". Does the game store data taken from the internet in the same place it stores StreetPass data from all games (and thus causes the auxiliary light to be green when there is new data)? If you disable StreetPass in ORAS, can you still get data from online? --Snorlax'Monster 10:58, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
::The reason I created the StreetPass article was specifically to explain the ORAS functionality that you're describing as "updated news". Looking around carefully, while various places tend to throw around the term "StreetPass" in the context of BuzzNav and that mail icon, I have to admit that it's not strictly clear whether or not that's a name they've given to the news/etc that ORAS collects when it connects through the PSS. This is complicated by the fact that I've never had the first opportunity to play with the "classic" 3DS StreetPass functionality and see what sorts of responses it can produce in ORAS and if there is a different explanation than I assumed for the use of "StreetPass" in those places. At the same time, it may also be that I have heard people describing their experiences with the 3DS StreetPass and it giving them the same sorts of results as I've gotten by connecting through the PSS, and I misunderstood them to be the same thing. Finally, the fact that when you click that mail icon in BuzzNav after connecting through the PSS it says, "You've passed by [X] people!" definitely doesn't make things any clearer either...
::In short, though, I can't know how or if I'm right or wrong (and what should rightly be done about it) unless someone can explain to me how much the 3DS system StreetPass overlaps with the sort of stuff you can get just by connecting through the PSS. I tried to explain what I thought I knew when I made the StreetPass article, but if I got it wrong, no one has made that clear to me yet. == Symbiosis, Eject Button, double effects ==
On Symbiosis, you wrote:
:When the Pokémon that was switched out by the Eject Button is switched in again, until it is switched out, if its item is activated its effect will be applied twice.

But then after that you listed just a few items, mostly with obvious effects/side effects, seeming to imply that perhaps those are the only affected items, rather than any/all items as the above seems to imply.

Are the listed items actually the only ones that are affected by this "double effect"? Because it's weird that only a few items are listed there. Especially when, for instance, Black Sludge just says what one should expect when the "double effect" is first explained; nothing unexpected, nothing seeming to make Black Sludge worthy of explicit explanation. So that really makes me wonder if those are the only affected items.

Or, does the "double effect" indeed really apply to any/all items (...except the ones mentioned at the bottom of the section)? For instance, do Choice Band's and type-enhancing items' boosts get applied twice? And items like Binding Band or Big Root? And...everything except the excluded items?
Tiddlywinks (talk) 14:58, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
:Always good to have a second person try and interpret these kinds of things. Basically, activated items apply twice. Purely passive items with no message display, such as the Choice Band and Big Root that you mentioned, do not appear to be affected in any way (to be fair, I haven't checked such items thoroughly). In many cases, it wouldn't even make sense to consider how such items would apply twice. I tried to make this clear with the wording "if its item is activated its effect will be applied twice" as opposed to say just "its item's effect is applied twice", but perhaps more emphasis should be placed on the fact that it only affects activated items. --Snorlax'Monster 15:06, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
::Yeah, I guess I'll add a distinction for items that aren't affected then.
::I still kind of don't understand the list of items (Black Sludge/etc). Like I more or less said above, most of them seem redundant/unnecessary after the initial basic explanation. Is that list meant to encompass all the non-trivially affected items (at least as far as you know)? Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:23, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
:::Yes, it's supposed to be a list of all the non-trivially-affected items. I ended up with the list because I wanted to clarify Life Orb only affected the HP reduction, Leftovers needs a specific mention, stats rising twice and halving damage twice also seemed like they needed specific mentions; that just leaves Black Sludge and Sticky Barb, which I ended up giving separate points in order to clarify that it affects both effects of Black Sludge. --Snorlax'Monster 15:28, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
::::Thinking about it, "active"/"activated" and "passive" aren't really defined. To my mind, something like Leftovers that's always active doesn't really get "activated" at any point/s. Something like Cell Battery or Weakness Policy is closer to something I'd say gets "activated". In short, I think it'd be better to just say "These items are affected: [list]". That way there's no ambiguity of people trying to interpret whatever we try to call those items; and you also don't have to have another list of "And actually, these particular ones are excluded..." Simpler all around. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:39, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
:::::Well, I like to think of any item that plays the little activation animation as being activated. Of course, this does cause some issues in this case, since the Life Orb never plays that, but that can just be considered an extra item that activates. Leftovers certainly isn't a consumable item, but I also wouldn't call it a passive item since it specifically activates (I also like to think of the Flame Orb and Toxic Orb as activated items though, but they don't play the item animation, so I guess you might have a point). Also, it just occurred to me that I forgot to list the Shell Bell, which applies twice in the obvious way (I did test it with all the other items, I just forgot to add it); since you're presumably editing the page right now, better for you to add it than for me to cause a conflict. --Snorlax'Monster 15:45, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
Opera Mini.
Regarding this, Opera Mini is not a web browser, it's a thin client that renders OBML data. If it were a web browser, it would handle the code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) by itself, as well as HTTP requests. Instead, it retrieves an "image" of the webpage generated by Opera's servers, which send it back to the client. Therefore, there's no point in mentioning it in the article because it has far bigger limitations than not supporting Ruby. * M02 premiered on Hungama channel on 22nd August. It's opening and ending theme were skipped. It was based on the Japanese version instead of English version.
Removal of Hoenn Badge fan-made artwork plus additional concerns
Thank you for explaining your removal of the Hoenn Badge fan-art that I uploaded (although it took me quite a while to compile and format..sigh T_T); I had no idea that it was filler fan-art! I'm surprised that there is no usable Generation 3 Hoenn Badge concept artwork (unless Game Freak has some tucked away somewhere..; I'm not sure if the "Official Guides" for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and/or Pokémon Emerald have any visible art). Do you know if any of the other regions' Badge artwork is under "fan-art" status (such as Kanto or Johto, etc.)?

On a side-note, do you know if the 2 purported "Generation 3 logos" for Team Magma and Team Aqua that I uploaded to the Bulbagarden Archives are fan-art as well? Thanks in advance. Fenyx4 (talk) 20:33, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
:I believe the Aqua/Magma logos actually come from the game itself (right before you battle a Grunt).
:I'm fairly confident that Hoenn were the only fan art Badges (I actually tagged them as such for that reason). == Pokémon Picross Stage Listings ==

It appears they will be quite detailed. Check my Sandbox, where I've compiled some data from the two videos I have seen of gameplay so far (one of the goals in Area 01 is still "???" because I can't read Japanese, but I'll wait for English tomorrow). Since the size of this, for some 30 areas, will be easily over three or four times the size of the rest of the current page, and noting the precedent from splitting Shuffle, do you object to stage data being its own page with a more brief listing at the main article? The main article could just have a 30 row table with stage numbers along the top, listing the Pokémon in each area, and offering the link to the detailed page which is much bigger.

I can split this out of my sandbox to a unique page if this would be considered. CycloneGU (talk) 17:41, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
Upon further research, turned out to be a pseudo-move that game calls upon when using Lob Orb (although it has a convincing name unlike other pseudo-moves). Vertical Cut is actually called Spin Slash. Someone did a bad job by copying and pasting the thing from Serebii (how did that went unnoticed for so long? maybe because the move went unused so ). == New template ==

I have managed to do a sketch of a template I would like to incorporate on the website. It is to be used in the Pokémon Manga section but can also be used for movie and anime.

Basically I needed to names all the Pokémon that was in this chapter/movie/episode with the moves they used in that particular section/movie.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbapedia:Sandbox#Pokemons_and_moves_they_used
I wasn't able to make it better, I am struggling with the templates codes, I've been trying to learn for the past 3 hours.

I would need to make the moves a color each, for their type.
I was updating the breeding section for new parents in ORAS and I saw you rightfully reverted Wide Guard to include chain breeding for X and Y.
Do you think it will be a good idea to split Gen VI into XY and ORAS columns, similar to how Gen V was split into BW and B2W2 (e.g. Hydro Pump)? ==Quick question==
Lady Ariel recently brought up a question about the translation of 영화관 for the Korean events. It's been translated "Cinema" for Gen IV events, but "Movie" since Gen V. When she asked for my opinion, I thought it should be translated "Cinema" or "Movie Theater", not simply "Movie", since 영화관 refers to a place, while "Movie" refers to the actual film. Lady Ariel mentioned that the titles were changed to "<Movie Pokémon>", since that is what the similar Japanese events use. So, is "Movie" an accurate translation of えいがかん in Japanese, or should we rethink the translation? Wowy(토크) 11:03, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
:えいがかん means "Cinema", not "Movie". I believe Lady Ariel and I had discussed this before, but I don't remember what the reasoning was to go with "Movie" (it might have been to match the European events). I'd say it would make more sense to make the Japanese and Korean ones "Cinema", since that's the correct translation. --Snorlax'Monster 13:53, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Mew glitch
The main reason I had the move template hidden was that I was not completely ready to bring up a talkpage discussion on it, but I will try to create one within the next three days to start the process. I do want to note that I really do believe that the Mew glitch is an extension of the Trainer-Fly glitch since we do not always need to use a Long-Range Trainer. After all, fainting to a wild Pokémon while in a Trainer's line of sight is enough to trigger the glitch, as in Viridian Forest. The reason why it isn't really discussed is that after the Forest and up to Mt. Moon, you cannot faint in front of a Trainer and in Mt. Moon there is a Rocket you can escape from. (At least, I do not know if anyone has tested combining the "Walking with only fainted Pokémon" glitch with this one.) Btw, does the 'R' in Range need to be decapitalized? I had presumed that it was permitted since that was how it was formatted prior to editing. --Super goku (talk) 18:57, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
:I guess that's a fair point about "long-range Trainer". It specifically requires a Trainer that battles you lock eyes with, not only a long-range Trainer. At one point I believe I suggested "Trainer escape glitch"; I had thought "Trainer-Fly glitch" was the most common term in the glitch community, but looking around it seems "Trainer escape glitch" might be it (e.g. the Glitch City Labs page is at Trainer escape glitch).
:I did try doing the glitch with Jessie & James in Yellow by losing to a wild Pokémon, but I would always end up battling them when I returned, even if I battled a Trainer first.
:It's not a proper noun, so the 'R' shouldn't be capitalized. --Snorlax'Monster 09:47, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
::Using the term "Trainer escape glitch" should work instead of "Long-range Trainer." I think that the minimum requirements could be defined as a Trainer that encounters you by sight and using an item (Escape Rope), a move (Teleport/Fly/Dig), or a method (Fainting in a wild battle/Using a glitch item) to prevent that battle from starting. (I do want to note that I might argue for a split instead of a move, but I am not really sure which would be better.)
::Er, did you remember to flash the Start Menu between the wild Pokémon and returning? I have done something like that which meant that I was matching a Trainer ID rather than the Menu ID. Chickasaurus did discuss the issue on the Talk Page.
::Ah, I see. I kinda get into a weird habit of capitalizing every word at times. Thank you for the correction.
::To add to this a bit while I am working on making a final decision, would it be alright with you to alter the Methods section? I understand that it is how the glitches were first done, but there are some adjustments that can be made. --Super goku (talk) 02:25, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions song specification
Hello. In regards to this edit, the reason I posted the "Incomplete" tag was to see if the songs could receive more specific identification in addition to what is already there.

As an example, take the entry "... (from )" from the Introduction section, designated as #7. Granted, I am not aware of the exact songs used at each concert, but based on the on-screen mentioned source, the time when the "..." quote is used in-game for Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal, and on this officially-sanctioned preview video, I would presume that this song is Champion Lance's battle theme from Pokémon Gold/Silver/Crystal Versions (and by extension, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions), which is shared with Red (and, if I recall correctly, Silver) - known on the Pokémon HeartGold & Pokémon SoulSilver: Super Music Collection soundtrack as "Battle! (Champion)" (admittedly, this is a rough example since the actual Pokemon Gold/Silver songs have not been officially provided yet, so all we can make do with is the HG/SS song names as a basis). Similarly, I would presume that "The Day I Became King (from )" is at least in part based on "Coronation Day" (which had the Bulbapedia translation of "The Day I Became King" at one point) from the Pokémon Black & Pokémon White: Super Music Collection soundtrack.

I do not know if each "entry" within the setlist are just orchestral arrangements of individual songs (like "..." being based on Lance/Red's Pokémon Gold/Silver battle theme) or if they are orchestral arrangements that are medleys instead (with "..." being combined with some other Pokémon Gold/Silver songs to form the medley). I was wondering if people who have actually visited the concert could supply the identity of what songs were actually used during the concert for each setlist entry, and we could use the titles from the various "Super Music Collections" as bullet points (or worded in some other format) under each setlist entry.

Formatting Example:

The Day I Became King (from )
*Basis: Coronation Day from Pokémon Black & Pokémon White: Super Music Collection
*<other songs as needed>

(Note: I am listing 'Coronation Day' in italics instead of quotation marks, per how Project Music lists song titles.)

Hidden Ability Legendary birds to be available in Europe talkpage blocked
Hi! I was trying to create a talkpage to the news about the birds in Europe. I wrote some new details about the distribution in videogame stores in Italy, but Bulbanews blocked the creation because of the external link; I'm a Pokémon Times staff member, maybe you know the website, and I had added the link of the original news for confirmation. I don't want to do something wrong or insert unvoluntary spam, so I'm asking you first about what to do now. The webpage also gave me a captcha at that moment, but inserting it didn't allow my edit. Thanks a lot! IvanAipom93
:I'm imagining you just got the captcha wrong. Try purging your cache and submitting it again. If it still doesn't work, just give me the link here or via Special:EmailUser/SnorlaxMonster (unless the link is this, which I just found). --Snorlax'Monster 02:03, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
::I've tried again and the captcha doesn't appear most of the times; when it appears, it's at the bottom of the page, and by inserting it and pressing enter (there are apparently no buttons), nothing happens. Once in a while it appears at the right position, but inserting it just refreshes the page with the same "anti-spam filter" error. There's no Adblock in the process. Anyway, yes, the link you've found is the right one; it briefly says that the legendary birds codes will be given in Italy from april 1st to 30th, in some videogame stores that will participate to the event (their identities are still unknown, but usually GameStop is involved in every Pokémon event here). We're also giving out some codes in a contest on our site. If some of this information is useful, use it as you wish! Well, I hope this situation can be useful as a bug report too!
Hello I wanted to talk to you about the issue with the phrase "comprised of" I noticed on the Sinnoh article you reverted ForceFire's edit when he added back "comprised of" in your summary you put something like "comprised of is incorrect" so I guess you agree with me that it is not the best phrasing for this encyclopedia. Whenever I have changed "comprised of" to an alternative ForceFire or Tiddlywinks changes it back without justifying it in the edit summary. They have said something like it doesn't need to be changed but a lot of people think it is incorrect so changing it to an alternative will avoid the issue altogether. Surely if it doesn't need to be changed in the first place it doesn't need to be changed back, is that not also edit warring? They keep changing it back just because they think it is "okay". Please allow people to change this phrase to a more precise and expressive term. Hello there, I was wondering about this wikia and if it is notable for it's own page here at Bulba since The Pokémon Wiki is. Hi, can I trouble you to take a look at itemlist and add a new parameter to allow for specifying of a specific image size (as with the case for shopdec, implemented just a while ago)? Current workarounds have been involving subst'ing the template in articles, which is not so conducive to wikicode readability. == Steam Eruption's behaviour on frozen targets ==

I personally tested the move's behaviour, with a Volcanion hacked to know both Scald and Steam Eruption for comparison. Against frozen targets, both moves show the same behaviour:

* Move hits
* Damage calculation
* Target thaws out on the next move (standard thawing message, with no reference made to Scald/Steam Eruption)

Scald and Steam Eruption were each tested five times against a frozen wild Pokemon, so unless RNG somehow managed to roll a 1-turn freeze for each and every trial (hence my earlier uncertain edit summary), I am confident that Steam Eruption will thaw the target out, with similar behaviour to that of Scald.

If you need a greater number of trials for confidence, please let me know, and I will go and test more. Chenzw (talk) 12:23, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
:I have tested Scald in-game myself (in fact I double-checked right before making that edit), and the freeze is removed right after the move hits. There is no possibility of a one-turn freeze, because that can only happen when the frozen Pokémon actually moves, whereas I did it on my own Pokémon in Double Battle and wasted its turn by using an item. If it appeared to be thawing right before the Pokémon's next move, that was purely due to the imperfect way you set up your tests.
:Your conclusion is probably correct, but since it is so easy to test this without having any uncertainty at all, I would rather do that. --Snorlax'Monster 12:45, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
Suggestion
Dunno where else to suggest this except a staff member's talk page, since it's not exactly something I can put together in my userspace, and since our Head of Games seems to have been offline for months, you seemed to be the person who is next-most-closely-involved with our core series pages. Anyway, I think it would be very useful to have a Category: Protection moves to include Protect, Detect, Spiky Shield, King's Shield, etc., and a Category: Moves that can break protection to include Feint, Phantom Force, Hyperspace Hole, etc. This way, we could just link to these categories when describing the interactions between the two types of moves, instead of having to list every single one on every page for any of these moves (and having to update the descriptions every time new moves are introduced). I hope you like this idea! Thanks! Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 15:39, 9 June 2016 (UTC)
Wondercard/5 layout
Hi, I'm leaving you this message because you are one of the most recent contributors to the template Wondercard/5.

I have identified performance issues with this template, such as unnecessary rendering of hidden tables, and layout engine crashes on some browsers. I have proposed an alternate method to achieve the same visual layout with more lightweight markup at Project:Sandbox#Wonder Card Gen 5 mockup. It has been suggested at Template talk:Wondercard/5, however, that all layout elements on this wiki must be HTML <table>s, and never HTML <div>s, <blockquote>s, <p>s, or any other element. As you are familiar with this template, I'd like your input on the matter, especially on whether you find the nested layout tables more helpful for editing than a lightweight equivalent.
I've read one of your posts where you said that dividing the Gen 6 column was not possible with the current template. I want to ask why is that? I looked up the source and while I don't fully understand it, it doesn't seem impossible to replicate the subcolumn feature. I understand that the problem here is not with laziness but I'm really curious why this hasn't been done yet.
