When the player reaches the Perfect Apple tree, Team Skull attacks and knocks them out. Team Skull then take the glory of finding the Perfect Apples.

It is the very first dungeon that the player and their partner go to. The first time the player and partner go to Beach Cave Pit, they fight [[Team Skull|a Koffing and a Zubat]], who have stolen the [[Relic Fragment]] from the partner. During this first visit, it is only possible to carry one item at a time, because the exploration team has not yet obtained the Treasure Bag. Upon defeating Koffing and Zubat, if the player revisits Beach Cave Pit, the text box shall say that there is nothing here, and that the team should return to Treasusre Town.

It is the only dungeon that can be reached in two different ways—the first being the normal way by taking the east entrance from [[Treasure Town]]'s crossroads, and the second being an entrance on [[Beach (Mystery Dungeon 2)|the beach itself]].

Once you begin the game and choose your character, along with naming them and your rival, you'll start by viewing the T.V. with the message of: "Pokémon are by our side, always. I hope you will understand the meaning of those words.", which is a quote from [[Professor Rowan]]. Once the T.V ends its broadcast. Head towards the stairs of your room and then {{ga|Barry}} will appear and will note that Professor Rowan who is famous for studying Pokémon is what the TV report was about and suggests that the two of you should head to him to ask for a Pokémon. He will then leave to meet you outside.

After talking to your mom, leave your house, but not before your mom reminds you not to go into the grass because of wild Pokémon. Head for Barry's house, which is north western of your house. And, just as you enter, he exits the house, only to realize he forgot something. Head to the stairs in his house and afterward, he leaves again. Now, you should meet him on Route 201, which is north of Barry's house.

Despite Lucas/Dawns' protest about giving their crucial Pokémon away, the Professor will remind him there are times when Pokémon should meet people. Rowan will point that these Pokémon are inexperienced with the world and needs you to help them grow before he and Lucas/Dawn return to [[Sandgem Town]]. After arriving back on Route 201, you'll meet up with Barry again. Even though both of you are going to Sandgem Town, he suggests that both of you should head to Lake Verity first to find and catch the legendary Pokémon to show to Professor Rowan first.

Once at Lake Verity you will see [[Cyrus]], the leader of [[Team Galactic]], who calls out that he will one day take control of Time and Space to the legendary Pokémon of the lake before he leaves. When Barry is ready to press forward you will hear the [[Mesprit (Pokémon)|legendary Pokémon]], and is ready to catch it only to realize that neither of you have any [[Poké Ball]]s to catch it with. Barry then recalls that Professor Rowan said to come to him if they needed anything and so Barry decides to ask for some Poké Balls and immediately departs for Sandgem Town.

==Sandgem Town==

Once you arrive Lucas/Dawn are waiting to take you inside the building, just as Barry comes out, commenting that Rowan is not as scary as he appears to be before leaving. Once inside the Professor takes a look at your Pokémon and agrees to let you have it. Seeing the growing bond between you and your Pokémon, the Professor gives you a [[Pokédex]] to record data on the Pokémon with.

This is when [[Lucas]]/{{ga|Dawn}} appears and brings the Professor's briefcase with him. The professor thanks him. Despite Lucas/Dawns' protest about giving their crucial Pokémon away, the Professor will remind him there are times when Pokémon should meet people. Once the Rowan states it's okay to take one Pokémon, Barry will let you go first so approach the Briefcase and choose.

==Lake Verity==

After arriving back on Route 201, you'll meet up with Barry again. Even though both of you are going to Sandgem Town, he suggests that both of you should head to Lake Verity first to find and catch the legendary Pokémon to show to Professor Rowan first.

Once at Lake Verity you will see [[Cyrus]], the leader of [[Team Galactic]], who calls out that he will one day take control of Time and Space to the legendary Pokémon of the lake before he leaves. When Barry is ready to press forward you will hear the [[Mesprit (Pokémon)|legendary Pokémon]], and is ready to catch it only to realize that neither of you have any [[Poké Ball]]s to catch it with. Barry then recalls that Professor Rowan said to come to him if they needed anything and so Barry decides to ask for some Poké Balls and immediately departs for Sandgem Town.

Once past Verity Lakefront, you are free to explore the tall grass though you can't catch any wild Pokémon yet. Talk to the [[Poké Mart]] Employee in that is located at northern point near the exit to Sandgem Town to receive a free [[Potion]]. Head east to reach Sandgem Town.

Once you arrive Lucas/Dawn are waiting to take you inside the building, just as Barry comes out, commenting that Rowan is not as scary as he appears to be before leaving. Once inside the Professor takes a look at your Pokémon and agrees to let you have it. Seeing the growing bond between you and your Pokémon, the Professor gives you a [[Pokédex]] to record data on the Pokémon with.

After arriving back on Route 201, you'll meet up with Barry again. Even though both of you are going to Sandgem Town, he suggests that both of you should head to Lake Verity first to find and catch the legendary Pokémon to show to Professor Rowan first.

Once at Lake Verity you will see [[Cyrus]], the leader of [[Team Galactic]], who calls out that he will one day take control of Time and Space to the legendary Pokémon of the lake before he leaves. When Barry is ready to press forward you will hear the [[Mesprit (Pokémon)|legendary Pokémon]], and is ready to catch it only to realize that neither of you have any [[Poké Ball]]s to catch it with. Barry then recalls that Professor Rowan said to come to him if they needed anything and so Barry decides to ask for some Poké Balls and immediately departs for Sandgem Town.

Once you begin the game and choose your character, along with naming them and your rival, you'll start by viewing the T.V. with the message of: "Pokémon are by our side, always. I hope you will understand the meaning of those words.", which is a quote from [[Professor Rowan]]. Once the T.V ends its broadcast. Head towards the stairs of your room and then {{ga|Barry}} will appear and will note that Professor Rowan who is famous for studying Pokémon is what the TV report was about and suggests that the two of you should head to him to ask for a Pokémon. He will then leave to meet you outside.

After talking to your mom, leave your house, but not before your mom reminds you not to go into the grass because of wild Pokémon. Head for Barry's house, which is north western of your house. And, just as you enter, he exits the house, only to realize he forgot something. Head to the stairs in his house and afterward, he leaves again. Now, you should meet him on Route 201, which is north of Barry's house.

Recognizing that you both don't have Pokémon and considering what you both tried to do once you agree with his statement that you both love Pokémon twice, despite finding both of you reckless for going into the grass, he agrees with giving you a Pokémon.

It is the very first dungeon that the player and their partner go to. It has four floors, and a separate floor known as Beach Cave Pit. The first time the player and partner go to Beach Cave Pit, they fight [[Team Skull|a Koffing and a Zubat]], who have stolen the [[Relic Fragment]] from the player's partner. It is the only dungeon that can be reached in two different ways.

Along the beach {{p|Krabby}} are blowing bubbles that are dancing along the shoreline, and as usual you partner is there, feeling sad and trying to recover from it's lack of courage.Your partner always comes back to the beach for the mood-lifting view, but today there is something different to see-a Pokémon washed up on the beach! That Pokémon is you, with no memory-just your name and the feeling that you used to be human. The two of you are harassed by {{p|Koffing}} and {{p|Zubat}}, who steal your partner's precious Relic Fragment and escape. Your partner asks for your help, so the two of you follow them into the Beach Cave.

This is the first dungeon to have shops in [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness]] and [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky]].

On the first visit, the hero and the partner are asked by {{mdc|Wigglytuff|2}} to explore the dungeon. Upon reaching the bottom, they stumble into in an alcove filled with gems and a giant gem is at the back. The partner wants to take the gem back to the guild but finds it difficult to remove. It is at this point when the hero experiences another dizzy spell and sees an image of the past. A Pokémon had pushed the gem and had accidentally set off a trap that caused a flood to wash it away. Unfortunately, the hero is too late to warn the partner Pokémon as he/she pushes the gem and triggered the flood. However, are carried away to the Hot Springs where they first meet {{mdc|Torkoal|2}}.
