I would really like to know the current status of noting Friend Safari on Pokemon pages. Has there been ''any'' progress since the update you gave two months ago? :It is supposed to be used on anything with an image in the title of the card. {{TCG|Pokémon SP}}, {{TCG|Pokémon ☆}}, {{TCG|Pokémon-EX}}, etc. The title of each section is treated as an anchor for links, but as images can't very well be in links, there needs to be some way of textifying the names so that links work. The name parameter does this. Ex: [[Blastoise (TCG)#Blastoise-EX]]. These links are used on the card name sections of every card. :In order to ensure quality of our images, for English cards, we require that they be either from the official site, or scans done on our own. I enjoy your interest in improving the TCG section, it's just bad practice to use other websites' images. We'd have to go through a large process of asking collector's cache for permission to use their card scans, and as their images aren't exactly as large of an improvement as we'd like to see, it's not exactly worth the time and effort to get images we'd have to replace later anyway.

Okay, here goes. I must have over a thousand Pokémon cards, so I might be able to provide some English scans for cards that need them. I also go on PTCGO a bit, so if we need any information on that, I could probably get it. Also, I know of a piece of TCG merchandise that I don't think is licensed by the Pokémon Company. I can't remember all the details, but here's what I know: It's a cube-shaped object sold at Target stores (I don't know if it's sold anywhere else, but definitely Target stores in the US), it's pre-XY era, and it contains the following: two random repackaged figures from boxes (mine were Kyurem and Mewtwo), one random holographic card (mine was {{TCG ID|POP Series 2|Entei|1}}), one random reverse-holo card (mine was {{TCG ID|Diamond & Pearl|Shinx|98}}), a bunch of assorted cards from the {{TCG|Black & White Trainer Kit}} and one of the World Championship decks, a DP-era booster (Mine was a {{TCG|Stormfront}} booster pack, I believe), and a BW-era booster pack (mine was a {{TCG|Dark Explorers}}). I'm not sure how to go about using this information, but I can go to Target and look at a few more of the cubes to see the variation (although since it's not official, it's probably completely random in terms of sets), and I can try to get an image. I also know of a YouTuber who opened one, if that's any help. Lastly, I can pick up wikicode pretty quickly if any templates need sprucing up. :Oh, I know the box you are talking about! That's simply a third party repackage: an item including ripped apart theme deck pieces that they weren't able to sell, any random cards they have lying around, and old packs people don't typically want. There are many different types of these products, but since they aren't licensed and also aren't standardized in any sort with their contents, we ignore them on the wiki. As for card scans, most are a low priority. As long as we have an artwork for each different print of cards, it doesn't matter if they aren't in English or not. Scans aren't an area of information that will get lost forever if we take too long to do it (since anyone who has a collection can just grab the card, take a scan, and finish the work.) I won't say no if you want to do it, I just think there's better uses of your time. The PTCGO though, I think it would be cool if you were able to get information from there. We haven't entirely posted anything substantial since the initial interest in PTCGO a Generation ago, and we're seriously lacking. I don't have the time to focus on it, and if you were willing to do that, I would most certainly appreciate it. All the decks since BW (and some HS ones) have had code cards that unlock the deck online. However, in order to unlock the full deck (by automactically replacing old cards with different cards with each win), it has to be played with in the Trainer Challenge ({{TCG|Mind Wipe}} and {{TCG|Solar Strike}} are the only one I remember being finished, so they are good examples). I don't know if you buy theme decks and would have the codes, but if you don't, I do and would be willing to send the code your way if you wanted to work on finding out each deck's unlockables. The character pages need more information, and we should probably have a list of promotional cards that are available on there, since they are different than real life. I don't understand, because I DID use the Bulbanews as source. I originally had it set to "Unreleased", and then I changed it to "Unknown cancelled promotion" (trying to keep it consistent with what is listed under DP54 and DP55) so that people wouldn't expect "Unreleased" to mean it will be released one day. You sent it back to Unreleased (my original terminology for these two promos). How is what I said not the same as what was on Bulbanews? Would you rather it be "Cancelled promotion"?

I am a veteran competitor and collector, and I felt like helping by correcting some misconceptions on Bulbapedia. == Sheen Holofoil in XY (TCG) ==

Hi Maverick, I'm currently editing to section for Holofoils, and adding in the information for different types of holofoils over the generations; would it be ok to use information from your currently-in-development sheen holofoil page?
Additionally, I've bought three booster boxes of Korean XY and Wild Blaze boosters, so I found out that the holofoil for XY on is sheen holofoil from bottom left to top right, covering the image only (not the borders, etc)

Hi,
I went to Korea recently and bought the Yveltal and Xerneas Half Decks, so I have the card list; however, I don't have permission to create a new page. Should I give you the card list instead? I'm happy to do that.
Additionally, although it says on the pages of the Chesnaught/Delphox/Frogadier Half Decks that one card was removed to make room for another of the final evolutions, I opened the Delphox deck and it had an additional Braixen (supposedly replaced card) at the back, in a separate plastic 'wrapping'! Hi Nate. Thought I'd run this by you before I start experimenting. For the Hyper Gear cards, I was going to do what we did with the Team Plasma cards: add a red border and a graphic to the right of the card title with "FLARE". With regards to the "Team Flare Gear" and "Team Flare Hyper Gear" subtitles, I'm not quite sure if we should just apply this to the main English title in small text, or to the Japanese text and translation below as well. This could either be done in small text too, or in square brackets like we did with {{TCG|Pokémon SP}}. Doing this may shove this onto another line with the "FLARE" graphic, though. :This is a tricky one. Looking at the English Press Release, it would appear they really are only considering the Team Flare Hyper Gear to be the only significantly different ones. The Team Flare Gear, Like Target Whistle and Robo Substitute I would assume would probably be most like [[Team Galactic's Invention G-109 SP Radar]], but (hopefully) without the lengthened name. I think we could probably get away with just including that as {{TCG|Pokémon SP}}: including it in the Japanese names, and then the illustrator part. Team Flare Hyper Gear, however, are more different. hmmm. :Well, one of the reasons why we are opting to remove the table is that the reprint information isn't entirely important. The new intent for these sections is to be a brief summary explaining the person's role in the card game, what they do, their significance, etc. The more detailed information is for each specific card page. (And even there, each print is only listed for posterity's sake: it ends up getting hidden when it becomes too overwhelming to do anything with.) Each card's print is very basic info that doesn't really add any substance to the section; which is the kind of info we're trying to evolve from. I would really prefer not seeing the boxes there, if it can be helped.
:As for the Charizard page, it has definitely been noticed and enjoyed. The concern with those is how to handle having these pages without much information elsewhere in the encyclopedia. As I've been going through some of the {{TCG|P Promotional cards}}, I've noticed were missing some of the [[e-Reader]] entries on these. I never realised there were four versions of {{TCG ID|P Promo|Kecleon|1}}, each with a slightly different Pokédex entry on the Dot Code strip! This got me thinking: would it be worth detailing the card ID(s) somewhere on the card articles, or just for those that warrant it? I've also been thinking of adding an "e-Reader data" section for cards, which would detail the flavour text and incorporate those that already have applications detailed in the Trivia section. I'm not sure on how to handle this for Holofoil cards, since the flavour text is printed below the artwork, but the Non Holofoils have this as Dot Code data plus the Pokédex entry (those I have looked at seem to all come from {{game|Crystal}}). # Full Decks seem to have very little rhyme or reason to how they were categorized as they were entered. Some a listed as "TCG theme decks", some as "Decks", and some as "TCG half decks". It seems like "TCG theme decks" is the correct category. Is this correct?

:Hi esaj. Holographic cards (what we call Holofoil cards) are cards that have the light reflecting film on them, like your Plusle. Usually, when we call something a Holofoil card, we mean that it's always holographic, but most cards have a regular version and a special Holofoil version (where the whole card will be reflective, not just the picture; we call it Reverse Holofoil).

:Holofoil cards are rarer than regular cards, but the symbols on the bottom aren't always different. The symbols they use nowadays are Common {{rar|Common}}, Uncommon {{rar|Uncommon}}, Rare {{rar|Rare}}, and a silver version of the star (the black symbols are actually white on {{e|Dragon}} and {{e|Darkness}} cards, but they're the same). Cards that are always Holofoil will have either the regular star or the silver star. If it's the regular star, we call it a Rare Holo {{rar|Rare Holo}}; if it's the silver star, we call it either Rare Holo ex {{rar|Rare Holo ex}} (if it's a {{TCG|Pokémon-EX|Pokémon}}{{EX}}), Ultra Rare {{rar|Rare Ultra}} (if it's a {{TCG|Full Art card}}, where the picture covers the whole card) or Secret Rare {{rar|Rare Secret}} (if the card has a number above the total number of cards in the set, like 101/100). Thank you glik glak but I still don't really under stand reverse holos. I have a Celebi with 60 hp that does 30 damage and the card has some glittery stuff on the edge of the card, as well as in Celebi's eyes and in the background. Three things: one is that im wondering if this is a reverse holo or a normal holographic card and the second is that this one has a white star in the corner even though it's a grass type and third is there are two numbers by its name (92/102). So what do those numbers mean? Oh and I also have a Suicune with 80 hp that does 50 damage. It's a promo from heart gold and soul silver with the number 21 by it, like my Plusle except my pluses number was 16. Anyway, the Suicune has the same glittery design as my Celebi. Is it a reverse holo? I also have a Ditto that has the part where the moves are listed metallic and shiny but the picture with Ditto in it is plain and so is the yellow outline. Is that a reverse holo? Then I have a Nidoking who has the background in the picture glittery but not the pokemon itself or the outline of the card or anything else. Is it holographic or is it something else? And also what does the shadow or no shadow or whatever mean because I have 2 Cards with some sort of Asian language on it (from what I've read probably Japanese or Korean) and they have some shadows that I saw circled on a website with an articuno and I don't know if that's rare or not. I also recently bought an XY- Phantom forces expansion and inside the box was a card list. In the key of that card list were some things I didn't understand like what is a standard set, a standard foil set, or a parallel set. What is the difference between a level X and an ex? I'm sorry I know that's a lot of questions but I really like pokemon I just don't understand it that well. I want to be one of those kids who has a 1000 cards and can tell people about how rare they are. I know it probably won't happen because I don't have nearly enough money to buy 1000 pokemon cards but that's still what I want. With $6 a week allowance I can buy one of those box things with 60 pokemon every 2 weeks and then I can start buying more valuable cards off eBay and Amazon and stuff. Can someone tell me if this Sudowoodo is fake?
I think it is because of different font, more yellow rim on one side than the other, the back looks darker, and the first letter of the illustrators name is lowercase. I put a Venonat next to it to compare. Also the Sudowoodo is very flimsy and bends easier than the Venonat. ::The easiest way to find which cards you have is to look on the Pokémon's list of cards, like [[Celebi (TCG)]]. Even if you don't know what set it came from, the set numbers should be enough to figure it out (the numbers at the bottom right of the card; the first one is the number of the card and the second is the total number of cards in the expansion). Reverse Holos are really easy to tell because the whole card background reflects (some older cards had the background and the picture reflect); if only certain parts of the card reflects, it's not Reverse Holo. The white star was what they used before the silver star and like the silver star cards, we use a couple different symbols for them. Chances are your Sudowoodo is fake, the biggest reason being that no artist that spells their name lowercase has drawn a Sudowoodo card. Earlier, I linked the Gen. IV Sleeping Pikachu entry to Sleeping Pikachu Collection, which was a 2009 collection that it was meant to promote. I then noticed that the article you created only covers the 2014 collection. I looked up the [http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pikachu_to_be_available_in_Japanese_Pok%C3%A9mon_Center_stores Bulbanews 2009 collection source] and noticed they have unique items, but the same overworked Pikachu. Can the page be converted to include both and the link I added later changed to include an anchor?

First off, I'm new to this whole system. I actually just made an account so I can share my ideas and try to help out after depending on Bulbapedia for so long. As I'm new to editing this, I feel it would be better to verify that my suggestions are things that you would want to include before putting effort in to making them happen.

I am a collector myself, and I've been cataloging and organizing all of my cards for the last two years (and for the foreseeable future, I'm maybe half done ._.) with a huge amount of help from the Bulbapedia TCG pages. I've had several ideas over the years, but these two keep resurfacing as I go.

When I decided the best way to organize my cards would be to catalog them, I put a lot of work into some detailed spreadsheets. They are very thorough, or will be once they are all 100% complete, and I am willing to provide blank copies so no one else has to put that much time and effort in accounting for every variation of (English) cards that have been released. I can provide a set of "suggested instructions", which would outline how I set up the sheets to be used, but they can also be treated as a template, because we all may sort very differently.

*'''A page dedicated for the different types of foils and reverse foils''': With the addition of reverse/refactor holos, it starts to become a little confusing as to what I'm trying to classify in my spreadsheets. Our goal here is more to present as much information and as many facts as possible and allow readers to discover how they want to go about their collections on their own. For me, much of the fun of my collection is figuring out how it should be, and I don't think it'd be nice to take that away from anyone.

This is just a modified version of the cards by Pokémon navigation header, and it can probably be improved. It has these variables:
 -prev: Name of previous Pokémon (in expansion)
 -prevnum: Number of previous Pokémon (in expansion)
 -next: Name of next Pokémon (in expansion)
 -nextnum: Number of next Pokémon (in expansion)
 -enexp: Expansion name
 -type: Card type (water, fire, etc.)

:Yes! We are still trying to update every card to that standard. And yes! In the majority of circumstances, jpsetlink is necessary. Jpsetlink is to be used when there is a type of sub-release within the main release. So, in the example you provided, the Bulbasaur Quarter Deck being a separately numbered set within the umbrella of Master Kit. The same applies with ensetlink and English Trainer Kits. Since the Sylveon Half Deck of the XY Trainer Kit has a separate numbering than the whole umbrella release, it uses both ensetlink and enset. The only time this doesn't apply is Radiant Collection in Legendary Treasures and Radiant Collection 2 in Generations, because their numbering indicates what's going on. Shouldn't there be a format for card page titles on the Korean {{KTCG|Black Star Promos}} and {{KTCG|XY-P Black Star Promos}} pages (similar to how you corrected the format for the Korean BW promos)? You kindasorta mentioned in an earlier message here than the Holofoil cards page needed updating/re-writing. I had been half-working on sorting this for a while, but I've finally got around to doing it, find it [[User:SpaceNarwhal/Holofoil|here]].
It still needs pictures, and I don't have the time or enthusiasm to scan my own cards right now, but I'd like to get your opinion on the page anyway.
It might also be better if it's split into two separate articles, "Holos" and "Reverse Holos".

I ask that you make sure every instance of the word "Holofoil" (and all its derivatives) is capitalized, Reverse Holofoil is not hyphenated, and outside of the opening line, you remove every instance of the word Holographic. Additionally, Base Set didn't use Cosmos Holofoil, and the Machamp you have pictures uses Starlight Holofoil. As a base it's pretty good, but I think it will need a lot of clean up before it's ready for the mainspace.
