:WHile I was browsing around Smogon, I decided to check the Pickpocket page, and from what it said there it does sound like the Sash will be consumed before Pickpocket checks for an item on the user. Mulch may be used before planting Berries in soft soil to promote healthy Berry growth in various ways.
If more than one Mulch is spread on one patch of soil, only the effect of the most recently used one will apply.
In , Mulch can be sold to a Pokémon Breeder at the end of Mistralton City's runway for pdollar1000 each.

In Pokémon X and Y, Mulch can be acquired from one of the Berry fields composters. By putting in different combinations of Berries, different kinds of Mulch can be produced.
**** This time I saw the actual change to next stage. You get the sparkly animation (I saw half of it before, but wasn't sure if I saw it correctly), and the new sprite replaces the old one. The next stage procced at 1939. This data isn't proving very predictable, as of yet. -_- -Tsanth 03:47, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
***** My final stage came about at 2343 PST, right before the time switched to 2344: maybe the Growth Mulch reduces each stage's length by ~1hr? I re-verified the sparkly animation and harvested 5 berries for every one planted. Perhaps the berry yield is dependent upon total growth time? == Watering? ==

Right, I originally presumed that Damp and Growth Mulches just altered the amount of time it took per stage, and you still had to water once per stage. I recently planted some 12 and 8 hour berries with damp mulch (making them 15 and 10 hour berries), and some 18 hour berries without mulch. Some time later, all the berries had sprouted: the 15/10 hour berries had light brown soil, and the 18 hour berries had dry soil.

So does anyone know how it works? Do you only have to water once every two stages or something? Cyberdude93 14:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
:The growth time altering mulches also alter the watering time accordingly. <span style="color:#FF0000">TTE</span>chidna 18:52, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
::I think berry yield is dependent on keeping soil moist, and NOT simply watering each stage in generation IV. Research is still needed on what determines the rate soil dries. ~Kendai
::The answer is the drying rate, listed on some other sites. when planted or watered, the moisture is set to 100, and the plant dries by the drying rate each hour Bulbapedia seems to not touch on this much. ~Kendai 10:32, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Number of berries
It seems pretty clear to me that the more you water, the more berries you get --- but does anyone know more about this mechanics? I've been operating under the assumption that if at any point you see drier soil, then you get fewer berries. However, I just used growth mulch on Wepear, and the soil ended up drier in every stage (although I watered as often as I could)... and I still got 10 berries. Has anyone figured out how the number of berries (or percent of maximum berries) is determined? How dry does the soil need to get before fewer berries appear? What if the soil is dry during a stage change? So many questions, and so much sitting and waiting to find out... <b><span style="color:#0000cc">Jazz</span><span style="color:#ff3300">moth</span></b> 07:50, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Boost and Amaze Mulch
The article says both Boost and Amaze Mulch cause the soil to dry twice as quickly. However, as I mentioned at the Berry Fields talk page the drying period seems to be reduced from about 24 hours to somewhere just over 6 hours. This would mean the soil dries around four times as quickly. I still need to do more accurate tests, but I was wondering where the "twice as quickly" came from before editing the Boost Mulch entry. Further, I still need to try the Amaze Mulch and am wondering if anyone tried it and has an estimate of the drying time (I'm assuming it may be wrong considering the Boost Mulch drying time). ==Growing Berries==
Berries can be planted in any empty patch of soft soil. The soil that the Berry was planted in will start out dry and can be watered by the player, the soil dries up after 24 hours, which is reduced to 4 hours when Boost Mulch or Amaze Mulch are used. Weeds and Pokémon may appear around the Berry tree which changes the amount of Berries depending on whether they are dealt with.

Mulch
Mulch
Mulch can be made by placing three Berries in the composters. Three Mulches are produced each time, and the type of Mulch produced is based on the colors of the Berries. There are four types of Mulches.
* Mulch doubles the Berry harvest. It can be made by mixing three different colored Berries.
* Mulch triples the Berry harvest, but dries the soil quicker. It can be made by mixing two Berries of the same color with another Berry.
* Mulch boosts chances of mutations depending on the Berries used to make the Mulch. It can be made by mixing three Berries of the same color.
* Mulch has the effects of Boost, Rich, and Surprise Mulches. It can be made by mixing a Kee or Maranga Berry with two other Berries.

Berry Colors
Mutation
Mutation will sometimes occur when two different types of Berries are grown next to each other. Once a certain mutation has been performed once, the formula for it can be reviewed with the Scientist in the Berry grower's hut. Using Surprise Mulch or Amaze Mulch on the trees involved increases the chance of a mutation.

Of the 15 Berries that can be found on various routes in the region, all of them are involved in mutations. In addition to those Berries, Pecha Berries (given by the grower upon arriving at the fields) and Chesto Berries (from the "vibes" man in Camphrier Town or the stall in Coumarine City) are used.

The game treats the area as part of 7 for everything except the background music, so the information about location and items could be merged into there. The berry growing information would probably be better suited to the Berry page. <small>- signed comment from <span style="color:#DAA520;">Golden</span><span style="color:#78C850;">Celebi</span> (pedia talk • news talk • archives talk)</small> <small>18:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)</small>
Name capitalization
According to the history, SnorlaxMonster moved this page to "Berry fields" based on the Mulch descriptions. I'd like to point out that they say Mulch to be used on a Berry field. In other words, the Mulch description is just using a generic description, not the actual name of anything. Berry Fields should be the correct capitalization of this page because it is the proper name of a distinct location in the games, and proper names are capitalized. You wouldn't uncapitalize "New york city" or "Sea spirit's den", so I don't see why "Berry Fields" is being subjected to this misunderstanding of the Mulch descriptions' grammar. A simple trick to watering the fields, when your character takes out the watering can and uses it on the buried berry, if you press left or right, and there's a dry buried berry in that direction, after watering the current berry the character will automatically walk over and water the next. You can do this down a row of planted berries to water them all at once, rather than selecting each patch and choosing to water them one at a time. == Drying berry plots ==

The article says the berry plots "dry up over time depending on the mulch and Berry used", while I have not noticed any difference between berries, the drying time seems to be around 24 hours unless boost mulch is used (I haven't tried the apicot, lansat, kee, maranga, starf and several of the anti-super-effective berries yet though). Do we know these berries have a different drying time or is this an assumption based on previous games? Is it 24 hours for most berries or is it slightly more or less? Does anyone know the effects of boost mulch (I think about 6 to 8 hours drying time, but I'm just using it for the first time, so I'm unsure). PinkShinyRose (talk) 22:01, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
I tested the Kee and Maranga berries and they seem to have a growth time of around 24 hours using Rich Mulch. I'm still unsure on the effect of Boost Mulch, I think it causes a drying time of 6 hours, it's shorter than the 8 hours. I still need to more accurately determine the drying time for both use cases, but it seems reasonable to assume all berries have an identical drying rate and need watering around every 24 hours unless Boost Mulch is used. I also suspect the effect of Boost Mulch to be identical for all berries and plan to submit this information to the article once I have more accurate information. PinkShinyRose (talk) 20:47, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
Amaze and Boost Mulch result in a 4 hour drying time. PinkShinyRose (talk) 15:10, 6 February 2014 (UTC)

Venonat has a round body covered in purple fur. Its mouth is pincer-like mouth, and it has red compound eyes and a pair of white antennas. It has a pair of clodhopper feet and stubby forepaws. Venonat's highly developed eyes help it find suitable prey and can shoot powerful beams. Additionally, poison oozes from all over Venonat's body.

Venonat can be found in dense List of Pokémon by habitat, where it will sleep in the hole of a tree until nightfall. DO NOT ADD TRIVIA ABOUT VENONAT BEING RELATED TO BUTTERFREE.

-->

Origin
In spite of Venonat's name it is not similar to a gnat in size, physiology or behavior, other than on its compound eyes. It is likely also based on a mite, which also sucks blood, is round, and have a pincer-like mouth.

Name origin
Venonat is likely a combination of venom and gnat (a small insect).

Kongpang is possibly a combination of こんちゅう konchū (insect) and pang (the sound that a radar makes, referring to its radar-like eyes). It could also be a shortening of コンパウンド　アイ compound eye, both referring to its eyes and its Compound Eyes.
** Update to that: I planted a Wiki in Growth at 0822 PST; it went to next stage somewhere between 1200 and 1204 PST. I'll try to keep track of when it changes stages. -Tsanth 20:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
*** Another update: I watched the next stage. Mine changed at 1550 PST. Perhaps it's 75% time plus an alpha? -Tsanth 23:54, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I watered every stage; the soil went light only once. -Tsanth 16:16, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
:Wiki grows in 20 hours, with 5 hours per stage. It should have grown in around 15 hours with the mulch, which it seems to have.

According to the history, SnorlaxMonster moved this page to "Berry fields" based on the Mulch descriptions. == Watering Trick ==

Not sure where to put this on the page, or if it needs to be put down anyway.

== Watering Trick ==

Not sure where to put this on the page, or if it needs to be put down anyway.

PSS
The Player Search System (Japanese: プレイヤーサーチシステム), or PSS for short, is an item that appears in Generation VI and is the Pokémon X and Y version of the C-Gear. It has many different functions, including the GTS, Wonder Trade, O-Powers, and more.

The main window of the PSS divides other players in three categories: Friends, Acquaintances, and Passersby. A Passerby will automatically become an Acquaintance if a Battle or Trade (including Wonder Trades) is made with him/her: after trading or battling with a player already in the Acquaintances, a prompt to add them to the Friends group will appear.

Players in the Friends group are registered as friends in the 3DS's friend list, and vice versa. When a player is registered as a Friend, his/her Safari can be accessed (even if he/she doesn't have a copy of Pokémon X/Y).

Global Trade System
Global Terminal
In Generation VI, the Global Trade Station can now be accessed in many more places than just Pokémon Centers in Generation V or the Global Terminal/GTS building in Generation IV. Unlike in previous generations, the player can now ask for Pokémon that have not yet been registered in the player's Pokédex.

Wonder Trade
Wonder Trade
Wonder Trade allows players to trade Pokémon for another one without even knowing what he or she is going to get. This means that using Wonder Trade is both an advantage and a risk. The player can easily earn Poké Miles and more ID numbers this way, giving them a better chance of winning prizes at the ID Lottery in Lumiose City, as well as get a very rare Pokémon, but they can also get weak and/or common Pokémon in exchange for the stronger and/or rarer Pokémon they offered. Eggs cannot be traded in Wonder Trade.

O-Powers
O-Powers are very similar to Entralink, as they give power-ups, increase or decrease the chances of things happening, and can be shared with other players that are either nearby or connected online. In addition, if another player uses one while connected online or within wireless distance, the player can tap their glowing icon to use it as well. At the lowest rate of O-Power regeneration, it takes 4 minutes to fill an entire circle. During special distribution periods, players can receive special O-Powers by playing their games at a Pokémon Center store; O-Power S is exclusive to this method, although the O-Powers given out are not always S.

The O-Power meter regenerates more quickly based on the number of steps counted for the current day on the user's 3DS. The user does not need to have the game running while they accumulate steps on their 3DS. This bonus can be seen as a number next to the clock by the power meter. Because the step counter resets at midnight, this regeneration bonus also resets at midnight. The thresholds are as follows:

style="roundybr"| 4× regeneration rate
}<br clear="all">

O-Powers are given to the player by Mr. Bonding. They can be upgraded by frequent usage. It takes 10 uses of a Level 1 O-Power to be upgraded to a Level 2 O-Power. Each level after the previous one will provide a more significant effect but cost more energy to activate.
Shout Outs
Shout Outs are messages sent to everyone connected to the player's game, whether they are the player's friends or someone who happened to be connected to the internet at the same time as the player. These messages are displayed before a Wonder Trade as the players message.

Battle Spot
The Battle Spot is a feature that allows players to use the same functions that the Global Battle Union's Random Matchup provides in the Generation V games. It allows players to compete in both Free Battles and in Rating Battles, the latter determining your ranking as a player, just as the Global Battle Union does.

Holo Caster
Holo Caster
The Holo Caster is a Generation VI extension of the Xtransceiver that consists on contact via holography. Unlike its predecessor, not only can it contact NPCs, but it can broadcast news as well:
News such as StreetPass Hits and upcoming competitions and events are displayed in news bulletin like fashion, and can be updated through either Streetpass or via an internet connection using SpotPass.

Game Sync
Pokémon Global Link
The player can synchronize the save file of the game card to the Pokémon Global Link site, provided the player has created an account. Doing so sends any items obtained from the PokéMileage Club to the game card and sends any photos, Poké Miles, and Medals to the Global Link.
I just got the hatching power while I still have to pay 50 000 for the mega stone (minimum price is 10 000 so my style is not maxed out). :For the move's description: "An attack move that inflicts double the damage if the user has been hurt by the foe in the same turn." If the user's been hurt, that means that the foe has gone first, and therefore that the user should be slower for better power. <span style="color:#FF0000;">T</span><span style="color:#FF0000;">T</span><span style="color:#FF0000;">E</span><span style="color:#0000FF;">chidna</span> 04:58, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
::Alright, but that still doesn't present the problem that the move forces the user to move last. I agree that it's more powerful if they move last with this attack, but that doesn't have anything to do with what I was saying. --VGJustice 18:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Alright, I've tried to be nice, but now I'm just getting irritated. TTEchidna, if you would like to please use the talk page here to inform me why it should no be stated that the pokemon using this move will attack LAST, then by all means inform us. Until then, I will re-add my point every day. --VGJustice 05:17, 23 August 2007 (UTC)
::Does Damage from status or weather count to doubling the power?Luckario 00:08, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
:::I doubt it. It's supposed to have taken damage in the same turn; those effects happen at the end of the turn, right?
:::Someone with a game should probably confirm this, though. --((<font color="#008000">Marton</font> <font color="#50C878">imos</font>)) 00:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Target?
The page says it targets al adjacent pokemon, but it seems to only affect a single target in horde battles. Does this need confirmation in the game code? I don't know how to do that.
