Synchronize (Japanese: シンクロ Synchro) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Fifteen Pokémon can have this Ability.

Effect
In battle
When a Pokémon with Synchronize is burned, paralysis, or poisoned by another Pokémon, that Pokémon will be inflicted with the same status condition. Synchronize will not inflict sleep or freeze.

Synchronize will have no effect if the opponent has a type, Ability, or team condition (e.g. Safeguard) that prevents it from being burned, paralyzed, or poisoned. However, Synchronize does affect an opponent behind a substitute.

If a Pokémon with Synchronize has a Berry that cures the status condition it was just inflicted with, Synchronize will activate before the Berry is eaten.

Generation III to IV
When a Pokémon with Synchronize is bad poison by another Pokémon, that Pokémon will be inflicted with the regular poison condition.

If Psycho Shift is used by a burned, paralyzed, or poisoned Pokémon targeting a Pokémon with Synchronize, Synchronize activates after Psycho Shift cures the user of its status condition. Therefore, Synchronize will inflict the status condition anew in such a case.

Toxic Spikes do not activate this Ability unless a Pokémon on the field directly causes a Pokémon with Synchronize to switch in, such as by using the moves Roar or Whirlwind.

Generation V and VI
When a Pokémon with Synchronize is bad poison by another Pokémon, that Pokémon will now be inflicted with the bad poison condition, rather than the regular poison condition.

If Psycho Shift is used by a burned, paralysis, poisoned, or badly poisoned Pokémon targeting a Pokémon with Synchronize, Synchronize now activates before Psycho Shift cures the user of its status condition. Therefore, Synchronize will fail to inflict the status condition anew in such a case.

Toxic Spikes do not activate this Ability, even if another Pokémon forced the Pokémon with this Ability to switch in by using a move like Roar or Dragon Tail.

Outside of battle
From Emerald onwards, if a Pokémon with this Ability is leading the party, there is a 50% chance that wild Pokémon encountered will have the same Nature as the Pokémon with Synchronize. Starting in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, this also applies to gift Pokémon in the Undiscovered.

This does not apply to roaming Pokémon. In Emerald, it does not apply to stationary Pokémon, such as Regirock or Rayquaza.

The Ability does not apply when a Pokémon with Synchronize is strolling in the Pokéwalker or when capturing Pokémon from the Entree Forest.
I think we need a table of pokemon locations for pokemon found through rocksmash, similar to the headbutt page, seeing as there is some general confusion caused over pokemon like Dunspace and Shuckle being found simply through "Rock Smash", when they are only found in specific locations.
Generation VI Item List
During my kinda-short search for a Shuckle, I came across quite a few Rock Smash-obtained items and thought it'd be a good idea to list them. Most of these came from Terminus Cave (the room just inside the entrance next to Psychic Inver's place, obviously chosen for convenience) and the two rocks outside it, but it's likely that they're not unique to this area. This was done on a Pokémon X cartridge, but these aren't X-specific items, and it's unlikely that the probabilities (which I don't know) are different on Y.

* Hard Stone
* Soft Sand (lots of these)
* Heart Scale
* Pearl
* Star Piece
* Revive
* Max Revive
* Ether
* Max Ether

This isn't a conclusive list, but it'd be fine as preliminary info until someone reverse-engineers the complete item lists/probabilities out of X/Y.
