The '''Swords of Justice''' (Japanese '''{{tt|聖剣士|せいけんし}}''' ''Sacred Swordsmen'') is a collective term to refer to the quartet of {{p|Cobalion}}, {{p|Terrakion}}, {{p|Virizion}}, and {{p|Keldeo}}. They are also commonly referred to by fans as the '''Legendary musketeers'''.

The group is based on the French novel ''{{wp|The Three Musketeers}}'' by {{wp|Alexandre Dumas, père}}. Cobalion represents {{wp|Athos (fictional character)|Athos}}, the oldest and ''de facto'' leader of the group. Terrakion represents {{wp|Porthos}}, the strongest, heaviest, and largest member of the group. Virizion represents {{wp|Aramis}}, the most feminine, vain, and romantic member of the group. Keldeo represents {{wp|d'Artagnan}}, the youngest by far and the latest addition to the group. The group has challenged humans in legends in order to protect other Pokémon from losing their homes to human expansion.

All of the Pokémon share a secondary type, {{type|Fighting}}, and all share the Ability {{a|Justified}}. Many of their moves refer to swordplay, something the musketeers specialized in, such as {{m|Swords Dance}} and their signature move, Sacred Sword{{tt|*|prior to Generation VI}}.

When gathered at the [[Moor of Icirrus]]{{sup/5|BW}}, Cobalion, Terrakion and Virizion will teach {{p|Keldeo}} its own signature move, {{m|Secret Sword}}. This method has been changed in [[Pokémon Black 2 and White 2]], as Keldeo needs to be taken to [[Pledge Grove]] to examine the rock in order to learn Secret Sword.

The Swords of Justice all made their anime debuts in ''[[M15|Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice]]''. Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion train their youngest member, {{mov|Keldeo|Keldeo|15}}, but before the Colt Pokémon finishes its training, it decides to test its strength against {{mov|Kyurem|Kyurem|15}}. The Boundary Pokémon proves to be too much for Keldeo who flees from the battle, but is actively pursued by Kyurem who wants to finish their match. Keldeo is then found by {{Ash}} and {{ashfr}} who help it find and free Cobalion,Terrakion and Virizion.Iris goes up in a blimp, to distract some of the Cryogonal and Cilan distracts them by travelling in the opposite direction on a train.

Virizion was the first to debut in Pokémon Adventures, appearing in ''[[PS476|A Direct Attack and a Daunting Defense]]'', where it attacks {{adv|Black}} and {{adv|White}} as they cross the [[Skyarrow Bridge]], cutting up their clothing. Black later decides to capture the Swords of Justice to battle against [[Team Plasma]] and seeks out Virizion, having seen it before. He manages to find both Virizion and Terrakion near [[Mistralton Cave]] with the help of Shōko and [[The Riches|Trish]], where he battles against both of them with [[Bo]]. Trish decides to battle with her {{p|Heatmor}} but is interrupted by Cobalion showing up and knocking everyone down. Trish's torch causes an explosion inside the cave, and the three Pokémon work to get everyone out, then kidnap Trish and Shōko's Pokémon. Black tracks them using [[Musha]]'s dream eating abilities, and he manages to free the girls' Pokémon after telling the three legends that Trish and Shōko truly love their Pokémon. Cobalion, Virizion, and Terrakion then disappear into the distance, much to Black's disappointment since he never captured them.

The Swords of Justice, excluding Keldeo, are captured by the organization [[Great Gavel]] and turned into Burst Hearts. Their Burst Hearts are then given to the three generals: [[Amu]], [[Ganku]], and [[Rovy]].

Luvdisc is a fish-like Pokémon with a relatively flat body in the shape of a heart. Loving couples gave this Pokémon its name after spotting it in the ocean waters. It is primarily light pink, with pale lips and circular markings on its cheeks. During the spring, it forms groups that turn the ocean's surface bright pink. Luvdisc lives in {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Sea Pokémon|warm seas}}, where it makes its nest in the branches of {{p|Corsola}} or coral reefs.

[[Wallace]] has a Luvdisc nicknamed Elizabeth in [[Pokémon Adventures]]. She is usually shown out of her [[Poké Ball]], floating along beside him. Wallace relies on her to solve problems, as she is shown doing such things as putting out a burning scarf and releasing a {{p|Lileep}} and {{p|Anorith}} to test {{adv|Ruby}}'s worth at Wallace's request. Also, the two seem to share a bond, as he rarely, if ever, has to specify what he wants her to do. * Due to their similar appearance and identical typing, it was speculated that {{p|Alomomola}} would evolve from Luvdisc upon Alomomola's introduction to the public.

===Origin===
Luvdisc is based on the {{wp|Discus (fish)|discus fish}} and certain other species of fish that appear to kiss each other (such as the {{wp|kissing gourami}}). It is shaped like a {{wp|Heart (symbol)|heart symbol}}. Its {{shiny}} colors may be a reference to having a heart of gold, which signifies a person or being completely without malice, whose nature is loving or caring.
