Prior to Generation VII, it was one of the signature Abilities of Flabébé's evolutionary line.

Effect
In battle
Flower Veil prevents the Pokémon with this Ability (if it is Grass) and its Grass-type allies (including non-adjacent allies) from having their stats lowered by other Pokémon. Self-inflicted stat reductions, such as from Leaf Storm or Weak Armor, are not prevented. If a Grass-type Pokémon has Contrary, Flower Veil prevents the Pokémon's stats from being lowered after accounting for Contrary. It does not prevent Spectral Thief from stealing (i.e., resetting) positive stat changes.

Flower Veil also prevents the Pokémon with this Ability (if it is Grass-type) and its Grass-type allies (including non-adjacent allies) from being afflicted by non-volatile status conditions or Yawn. However, it will not prevent a Pokémon from falling asleep if it is already drowsy from Yawn. This Ability has no effect on Rest, the Flame Orb, or the Toxic Orb.

Outside of battle
Flower Veil has no effect outside of battle.
I tried sticking Seedot into the code for that section and it went pretty badly, of course I only previewed it but Girafarig's data went real screwy for no reason )I had'nt touched it at all) and the father sprites became listed vertically instead of horizontally which made the table HUGE. Also I noticed that no Pokémon include Weavile in this table as a suitable parent in Gen IV/V, even thought it does mention Weavile on most of their respective pages.
Basically i was wondering, could someone who knows what they're doing better than I do try fixing this?
Inconsistency on STAB information
It seems there's some conflicting information concerning STAB in each Generation. The Gen IV passage states "Beat Up skips the randomization factor, but does apply same-type attack bonus for Dark-type Pokémon.", while the learn by level up list says "No STAB prior to Gen V". Furthermore, the Gen V passage says "Beat Up now receives STAB from Dark-type users and no longer deals typeless damage." There really seems to be a mix up somewhere in here, and may need some fixing. Schiffy (Speak to me|What I've done) 01:04, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

"Beat Up ignores changes to stat levels such as Swords Dance"
I originally wasn't going to use Beat Up because of this, but I kept it on my Weavile because it's a devastating combo with Razor Fang. Anyway, this is simply not true. When I use Beat Up on Shauntal's Jellicent with my Lv80+ Weavile, it takes about 3-4 hits to KO it with Beat Up, giving each hit a chance to trigger Cursed Body. If I soft reset the game and try it again, with the same Pokemon lineup in my party, but I Swords Dance first, it KOs the Jellicent in 1-2 hits. I even noticed, after using Swords Dance, it doubles the damage on her Cofagrigus and cuts the number of hits needed to KO it in half, as opposed to just opening up with Beat Up. Shinku no Yami

I can corroborate this, at least for Gen VI (Omega Ruby.) I played a trainer battle using Beat Up with a Seedot against a trainer who used multiples of the same Pokemon at the same level. The first time, I used Growth, and the later time I switched out to reset the buffs and there was a notable decrease in damage per hit. == "Beat Up ignores changes to stat levels such as Swords Dance" ==

Does Beat Up use only the Pokemon in your party or in both your party and your partners party in Multi-Battle? In other words in Multi-Battles does Beat Up hit 3 times or 6? I accidentally signed my post twice. == Gen V+ base power mechanics ==
Does anyone know if a strike's base power is rounded if a party member has a base attack stat not divisible by 10, and if so, which way does it round? -spudwalt (talk) 22:21, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
:According to both pages linked to at damage, it is rounded down (floored). Nescientist (talk) 15:03, 8 August 2020 (UTC)
Is Beat Up boosted by the ability Technician? If so, does it affect just the user's strike or all strikes? --Glowing0v3rlord (talk) 06:59, 17 March 2023 (UTC)
:According to the Technician page, yes... which doesn't answer whether it affects the first strike, or each individually. Needs testing. ::After some experimenting, I found that Technician, at least in Gen IV, doesn't apply to the first strike nor any subsequent strikes. Gen V+ still needs testing due to Beat Up's base power calculation change. --NinPowTM (talk) 09:19, 4 August 2023 (UTC)
