Is the fact that this is the only electronic device in the main series owned by a trainer that does not have "Poke" in it worth noting? Thanks. TFSpock 21:09, 23 November 2010 (UTC)TFSpock
I would assumed it stands for Communication Gear, but anyone have any other ideas? Or any origin of the name? I'd like to have confirmation to post "communication" before doing so. Chum 01:16, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Needing to wait 24 hours might happen if you tamper with the clock, but all your DS needs to do is hit midnight (and change dates) before you can tuck in a pokémon. So knowing for sure if it really is a 24 hour wait if you fiddle with the DS clock is imperative, because it's not true, otherwise. Alright, I'm confused as to what the C-Gear actually looks like. We know what the X-Tranceiver looks like (we even have art of it), and that you receive the C-Gear after it. But you use the X-Tranceiver with friends, wirelessly, THROUGH the C-Gear. Is the X-Tranceiver a function of the C-Gear? Or is the C-Gear an upgrade to the X-Tranceiver? It's extremely unclear. --AndyPKMN (talk) 00:27, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
:What I've thought is that it's possible that the C-Gear is actually given to the player, rather than the player character. For example all the stuff about uploading save files from players across the world doesn't quite make sense if it's given to the player character. That, or, maybe it's some sort of OS for the X-Transciever, and 'X-Transciever' is simply the Pokémon World's name for videochatting (which would explain Professor Oak's Pokémon X-Transciever). I heard the selection is gender specific. Is it true? PLA 07:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
:Yes. I play different genders in my different versions and I can assure you the shapes are different. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 07:09, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

Does anyone have any idea what the 0-5 orange dots are on each passerby on the Tag Log? I've looked all around and can't find it - and it seems like information that would go here. It's not anywhere on the Net that I've looked, and isn't in the game manual or C-Gear help. I feel like it might be related to trainer stars, since I have two, most of my friends have 1, and I've seen 0 a few times, which matches up with my Trainer card, and the fact that most of my friends are playing more casually. I can't confirm this until my Trainer Card changes again, but it would be an interesting addition to both this page and the Trainer Stars page if we could figure it out.
