== Question of relevance ==

Hi. I've a question for you (now that you're a big shot :))... I finished doing articles for ''almost'' all core Pokémon songs. I wonder, though, whether non-Pokémon songs that were featured on Pokémon soundtracks (the first two movies' soundtracks, of course), are worthy of their own articles. Thoughts? --[[User:ElectAbuzzzz|ElectAbuzzzz]] 21:41, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
:Thanks for the compliment :). Anyway, what songs were you thinking about? If it were a song like "Brother My Brother," which was featured prominantly in the first movies' climax, then I think it would be a good idea. However, I don't think "Soda Pop" by Britney Spears would warrant its own article. Also, the content of some of those songs is debatable. I'm mostly thinking of M2M's "Don't Say You Love Me," which appears to be about Ash and Misty. Also, maybe the song should be exclusive to the Pokémon soundtrack (like [[Polkamon]]). --[[User:PAK Man|PAK Man]] 22:12, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
::"Don't Say You Love Me" appears to be about Ash and Misty? I never saw the connection... Anyway, just to make sure that we're on the same wave here: Songs that are worthy and have yet to get an article are: Brother my Brother, Catch Me if You Can, If Only Tears Could Bring You Back, Vacation, Lullaby, The Power of One, With All Your Heart, One Heart, One, Comin' to the Rescue... right? Or is any of these wrong? --[[User:ElectAbuzzzz|ElectAbuzzzz]] 22:22, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
:::Well, I thought it was about those two. Anyways, if you want me to be honest, I can't help you too much with the songs from movie two, since I never owned the soundtrack and I haven't seen the movie in about six years. But I can definitely tell you that Vacation would work, since that was the Pikachu's Vacation theme. Which one was Lullaby? Catch Me If You Can (was that the one from Pikachu's Vacation that played during the race?) should work, as could If Only Tears Could Bring You Back. Looks okay to me, for the most part. --[[User:PAK Man|PAK Man]] 22:34, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
::::Lullaby is the Jigglypuff one... If I recall correctly, Jigglypuff's voice is even heard in the background. So it qualifies for sure. Great, I'll start working on these tomorrow morning (it's 01:40 am here in Israel, lol...) == Yet another question of relevance ==

Hi again :)
I've another "is it notable" kinda question: the [[:Category:Anime characters (Pokémon)|Anime Pokémon]] section here is getting bigger and bigger by the day. Many contributers, including you and me, are adding Pokémon characters articles constantly. We have articles for minor Pokémon such as [[Drew's Butterfree]], [[Paul's Azumarill]], [[Vicious's Scizor]], [[Nero]], [[Orville]], [[Pink Butterfree]], [[Spoink (anime)]] and others. Some of them appeared in only one episode, or had extremely minor roles. The question is - when is it too much? Which specific Pokémon deserve articles and which don't?
For example: many Gym Leaders used one Pokémon prominently, and that Pokémon debuted in the series under their ownership. Common examples are Lt. Surge's Raichu, Erika's Gloom, Sabrina's Kadabra, Blaine's Magmar, Whitney's Miltank and others. These Pokémon had a far more important role in the anime than, say, Orville ar Nero. Another example is Pokémon who were main characters in [[Pikachu shorts]], such as Wynaut in [[Camp Pikachu]] or Larvitar in [[Pikachu's PikaBoo]].
I'd love to give them each articles of their own, but I just don't know if it's right. What say you? --[[User:ElectAbuzzzz|ElectAbuzzzz]] 16:27, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

I've created a template specifically for easy use of Pokémon belonging to specific trainers. <nowiki>{{TP|Trainer|Pokémon}}</nowiki> will create a link to <nowiki>[[Trainer's Pokémon|Pokémon]]</nowiki>. I also created a shortcut template to [[Meowth (Team Rocket)|Meowth]], because I got tired of typing it over and over: <nowiki>{{MTR}}</nowiki>

I generally prefer to subst: out my templates, especially shortcut templates like these, so the "hidden" code is what appears in the final copy.

I was having a discussion with the user Kenji-girl about how actors spans voicing characters should be noted, and they suggested that I ask to you about it.

According to Kenji-girl, we are using the format of which studio is dubbing to avoid confusion with episode numbers.

Example: ''Ash is voiced by [[Veronica Taylor]] ([[4Kids]] dub) and [[Sarah Natochenny]] ([[Pokémon USA]]/[[TAJ Productions]] dub).

My question is what about the characters such as James, Meowth, Nurse Joy, and Officer Jenny that have been played by different actors under the same studio, the episode number format is the way that they are noted.

Example: James is voiced by [[Ted Lewis]] ([[EP002]]-[[EP010]])

Meowth is voiced by [[Nathan Price]] ([[EP002]]-[[EP031]])

So would their articles look like this?

Nurse Joy is voiced by [[Megan Hollingshead]] ([[EP002]]-[[AG040]]), [[Bella Hudson]] ([[4Kids]] dub), and [[Michelle Knotz]] ([[Pokémon USA]]/[[TAJ Productions]] dub)

Switching between the episode number format and studio format within the same article seems a bit sloppy.

I thought that perhaps that is why the episode number format was used, to keep things uniform and as simple as possible.

I thought this would be an ideal place to share me and my friend's ideas with other people. Anyway, whats the point of adding articles if they've already got all of the 'real' stuff on here already?
A page such as [[Slowpoke (TCG)]] should account for, at the very minimum, every single English-release card out there, not just the ones we have articles for. Additionally, dual-type Pokémon should not be assumed as sticking with just one type in the TCG, as had been listed with Slowpoke being always {{TCG|Psychic}}--that's disproven by the {{TCG|Water}}-type {{TCG|Aquapolis}} {{TCG ID|Aquapolis|Slowpoke|108}}. Compare Base Set {{TCG ID|Base Set|Poliwrath|13}} with {{TCG ID|Neo Discovery|Poliwrath|9}}. Poliwrath is {{t|Water}}/{{t|Fighting}} in the main series video games. The Base Set card is a {{e|Water}}-type card, while the Neo Discovery card is a {{e|Fighting}}-type card. --[[User:Shiningpikablu252|Shiningpikablu252]] 20:36, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Please use the <nowiki><ab></nowiki> tag to deal with song lyrics. There are examples in some of the Japanese song articles. Also, section headings are capitalised the same way as article names on Bulbapedia, i.e. only the first word and proper names are capitalised. - [[User:Zhen Lin|振霖]][[User talk:Zhen Lin|T]] 03:47, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
:::Not to my knowledge. However, I do have some episodes of the Orange Islands and Johto Journeys from their original broadcast dates. == Question of relevance ==

== Yet another question of relevance ==

Not bad for a first try, but there were a few faults...

== Question of relevance ==

== Yet another question of relevance ==

'''Snorlax''' ([[List of Japanese Pokémon names|Japanese]]: カビゴン ''Kabigon'') is a {{t|Normal}}-type Pokémon. In the [[Generation I]] and [[Generation II|II]] games, as well as [[Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen]], wild Snorlax can be found sleeping in inconvenient locations throughout Kanto. In order to catch one, a trainer must first awaken it with music from either a [[Poké Flute]] or [[PokéGear]].

Snorlax comes with one of two [[Abilities]]: [[Abilities#Immunity|Immunity]], which protects the Pokémon from being poisoned; or [[Abilities#Thick Fat|Thick Fat]], which cuts damage from {{t|Fire}}- and {{t|Ice}}-type moves in half.
===Special abilities===
==Behavior==
Snorlax spend the majority of their time sleeping, surviving off of their stored up fat. Many Snorlax only awaken once a month, and that is so they can find more food. A hungry Snorlax isn't satisfied until it consumes 900 pounds of food, and then it goes back to sleep. If one ever sees a sleeping Snorlax, he or she should not wake it up, because these Pokémon become very grumpy if their peaceful dreams become interrupted. Several {{t|Psychic}} Pokémon using {{m|Dream Eater}} find this out the hard way.

==Habitat==
[[Image:Mountain.gif|right|frame|[[List of Pokémon by habitat#Mountain Pokémon|Mountain Pokémon]]]]
Snorlax are often in mountains and forests. However, they sometimes wander into towns and streets and sleep there.

==Diet==
''Main article: [[Pokémon food]]''
Snorlax will eat anything and everything that is edible, they aren't really very picky. Upon finding something new on its territory, a resident Snorlax will put it in its mouth to see if it's something that can be eaten. Snorlax are fond of large, thorny vines as a snack item.

=In the anime=
[[Image:AG149 107.jpeg|thumb|[[Ash's Snorlax]] using {{m|Ice Punch}}]]Snorlax first appeared in ''[[EP041|Wake up Snorlax]]''. This Snorlax was blocking the water flow to a small village.

In ''[[EP094|Snack Attack!]]'', a Snorlax was eating the grapefuits of the Grapefuit Islands. [[Ash Ketchum|Ash]] managed to capture it near the end of the episode. After the adventures in the Orange Islands, [[Ash's Snorlax]] spent most of its time at [[Professor Oak]]'s lab.

In ''[[AG086|Lights, Camerupt, Action]]'', a Snorlax was a sheriff in a western-themed Pokémon movie.

In ''[[AG088|The Garden of Eatin']]'', another Snorlax was causing trouble for a man named Marcell by eating the bananas in his {{p|Slakoth}} Banana Garden. Marcell's newly evolved {{p|Vigoroth}} defeated the Snorlax, allowing him to capture it. Afterwards, Marcell made an attraction around his new Snorlax: a relaxation room.

In the movies, Ash's Snorlax is seen in [[The Power of One]]. A Snorlax also appeared near the end of ''[[Destiny Deoxys]]'', evolving from {{p|Munchlax}} in order to stay afloat during a 'flood' of malfunctioning robots.

In ''[[AG158|Queen of the Serpentine]]'', a Snorlax made a cameo as one of [[Pike Queen Lucy|Lucy's]] pets.

''[[H012|Training Daze]]'' featured a [[Alternate coloration|red]] Snorlax which [[Jessie]], [[James]] and [[Meowth (Team Rocket)|Meowth]], while competing with [[Butch]], [[Cassidy]] and [[Raticate (Team Rocket)|Raticate]], were sent to steal in order to become offical Team Rocket field agents. The Snorlax turned out to be [[Viper]], the Team Rocket Academy Drill Sergeant, in disguise.

=In the manga=
[[Red (Special)|Red]] caught a Snorlax on [[Cycling Road]].

=In the TCG=
Snorlax has made a number of TCG appearances, most recently as a rare in the "Diamond and Pearl" set.

Here are other sets featureing a Snorlax:

* Jungle (Snorlax)
* Team Rocket (Rocket's Snorlax)
* PROMO (Snorlax)
* ex Firered/Leafgreen (Snorlax)
* ex Team Rocket Returns (Rocket's Snorlax EX)
* ex Dragon Frontiers (Snorlax)

=Other appearances=
===[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]===
When released from a Pokéball, Snorlax will fly up into the air before descending over a large area of the screen with a {{m|Body Slam}} that sends any opponent underneath flying.

Snorlax is also a Pokéfloat. It is in its sleeping form and so fighting occurs on its head and belly.

====Trophy information====
Snorlax love to sleep and love to eat: these portly Pokémon get grumpy if they don't get 888 pounds of food per day. After snacking out, they always nap. They have cast-iron stomachs and can eat moldy and even rotten food with no digestion problems. They are the heaviest Pokémon on record, weighing in at over 1,000 pounds.

=Game data=
==NPC appearances==
* [[Pokémon Ranger]]: Snorlax will be seen sleeping throughout the game, effectively cutting off certain areas until later on. It will eventually remain in a cave in the [[Sekra Mountain Range]]. Once the rest of the [[List of Pokémon by Browser number|Ranger Browser]] has been completed, it will wake up and can be captured.
Relicanth is one of the essential two Pokémon to unlock the caves of the [[Legendary golems|Regis]], the other being {{p|Wailord}}.
==Origin==
Its design is very close to that of a [[wp:coelacanth|coelacanth]], an ancient fish that was once thought extinct until members of the species were caught live. They are considered [[wp:living fossils|living fossils]], because they are virtually unchanged from their prehistoric forms.

===Name Origin===
Relicanth's name seems to be a combination of ''relic'', meaning "something old that has survived the passage of time," and ''coelacanth''. Its Japanese name is simply based on ''coelacanth''.
'''Bastiodon''' ([[List of Japanese Pokémon names|Japanese]]: '''トリデプス''' ''Trideps'') is a {{t|Rock}}/{{t|Steel}}-type Pokémon. It is available in [[Generation IV]] games.

=Biology=
==Physiology==
Bastiodon appears to be a cross between a [[wp:Triceratops|Triceratops]], and a [[wp:bulldozer|bulldozer]]. The small, shield-like growth this Pokémon had before evolution has been completely upgraded to a large, castle wall-shaped shield, large enough to protect it from attacks. On its feet, smaller, shield-like growths sprout upward to protect the Pokémon's legs. There are also small grey spikes along Bastiodon's back.

===Gender differences===
None.

===Special abilities===
Aside from Bastiodon having amazing defensive capabilities, it can learn some powerful attack oriented moves, such as Metal Burst, and Iron Head.

==Behavior==
Despite its rough, and cruel appearacne, Bastiodon is suprisingly timid, and caring. It will go to great lengths to protect the young in its herd.
Bastiodon is based on a Ceratopian [[wp:dinosaur|dinosaur]]. Its protective growth resembles a castle wall.
===Name origin===
Bastiodon is a combination of ''[[wp:bastion|bastion]]'' and ''don'', a suffix on various dinosaur names.

Trideps's name comes from a combination of the words ''toride'' (Japanese for ''foretress'') and [[wp:Triceratops|Triceratops]].
