Latias is a bird-like dragon Pokémon vaguely resembling {{p|Lugia}}. The lower half of her body is red with jet-plane wings and stubby feet that are similar to ones {{p|Crobat}} has. Latias has a blue triangle-shaped ring on her chest that resembles one of the spots {{p|Togepi}} and {{p|Togetic}} have. Latias's white and red arms can be tucked into her body in order to reduce air-resistance when in flight. The upper-half of Latias's body is white. She has triangle-shaped ears and a red face with a white pentagon in the middle.

Latias is a female-only species. For her male counterpart, see {{p|Latios}}.

====Special abilities====
Latias comes with the ability {{a|Levitate}}, which causes {{type2|Ground}} [[move]]s to miss.
Latias can enfold her body with glass-like down to refract light and alter her appearance. She is highly intelligent and can understand human speech. She can telepathically communicate with others.
Latias's {{t|Dragon}} and {{t|Psychic}} typing has given her the ability to wield attacks of many different elements (expect for {{t|Fire}}).

In the movie [[Pokémon Heroes|''Pokémon Heroes'']] Latias and Latios also had the ability "Sight Sharing" which allowed Latias and people around her to see exactly what Latios is seeing.

Latias is the [[Signature move|only known Pokémon]] that can learn {{m|Mist Ball}}.

Latias will form small herds of several members. They will rarely make contact with people or other Pokémon. If Latias senses hostility towards herself, she will ruffle the feathers all over her body and cry shrilly to intimidate her foe. However, she will usually disappear if she senses an enemy.

This enabled them to "see" objects and living creatures and predict the actions of others even with their eyes closed. Lucario could use aura as an offensive attack in the form of {{m|Aura Sphere}}, in which he would amass a sphere of energy and hurl it at an opponent. Aaron taught Lucario how to refine his sensitivity to aura.

When Cameran Palace was about to be caught in the middle of a war, Aaron was on his way to the [[Tree of Beginning]] to attempt to stop the battle when he came across Lucario, who had been temporarily blinded by a group of sand-kicking {{p|Houndoom}}. Aaron told him that he was never going back to the castle. Aaron intended to sacrifice himself to stop the war, but Lucario jumped to the conclusion that he was abandoning the kingdom. Aaron then threw his staff, sealing Lucario within. The armies raged past the staff, and Aaron's {{p|Pidgeot}} later returned it to Leen. After sealing Lucario, Aaron sacrificed himself to the Tree of Beginning to stop the war, and he succeeded.

Years later, in the present time, Lucario was awoken from the staff when it was held by [[Ash Ketchum]], who has a similar aura pattern to Aaron. Lucario initially mistook Ash for Aaron, and was stubborn and distrustful of humans after being sealed in the staff. Unaware of Aaron's sacrifice, Lucario held a grudge toward Aaron, thinking Aaron had abandoned the castle and him. He had considered himself Aaron's servant, and he could not understand the friendship between Ash and {{AP|Pikachu}}. However, a [[time flower]] message left by Aaron shortly before his death told Lucario the truth, that Aaron considered Lucario a friend, not a servant.

Once again the Tree of Beginning was disturbed, threatening to destroy the balance between Pokémon and nature. Ash and Lucario rushed to its core and began to use their aura to energize the tree's defense system. Using up their aura would have meant the same fate as Aaron—death. However, just as Ash was about to use up his aura and give his own life, Lucario pushed him away, instead sacrificing only himself to the tree.

After Lucario's death, the portrait of Aaron in Cameran Palace was altered to include Lucario by Aaron's side, cementing their relationship as best friends and partners in aura manipulation. Lucario is later seen with Aaron once again and gives him a bar of chocolate, which he enjoys; this is surely after his death, as Lucario did not know what chocolate was until [[Max]] gave it to him in an effort to earn his trust for the sake of the group.

::Do I need to get certain categories approved before I go about creating them? I was thinking the archives should have file naming standards. It is a noticeable pain in the ass to get proper results from image searches; as people put irrelevant info in the summary or give bad nomenclature for the actual file name. I forgot that a special item had to be held by snorlax to breed a baby form, where with Pikachu normal breeding produced a baby form. somewhere in my thinking process i must have been focused on how a Pikachu and Pichu are and forgot that doesn't fully apply to a Snorlax and munchlax/

Despite not having ever been shown evolving on screen, Its common sense that Ash's Pikachu had to of evolved from a Pichu. I just got mixed up and put something without thinking it through. It was a miscalculation on my part, However that doesn't warrent flaming and people butting in.

I got blocked for what could be called taunting, which is the same thing Psycho was doing. Also Sketch didn't get on me for acting like i had authority to give a warning. Everyone had some extent of authority in warnings. He was just stating that since i got blocked for a similar thing that i'm not the best person to get on psycho for that. Its the kettle calling the pot black.

Yes, Ash pulls out a ball to recall Pikachu a few times once when his mom raises a question about pikachu being out of its ball, and again when it battles onyx.

The Trainers use one of the balls Oak gives them, but the ball the Pokemon was in when they chose it is not taken.

could you remove the following erros from the EP001 article?

*Professor Oak had all three Poké Balls that contained the starters when Ash went to get his starter. However, all three Trainers already got their Pokémon before Ash came, and presumably would be using those same Poké Balls to keep their starter in.
*Professor Oak hands Ash his Pokédex and six Poké Balls despite the fact that, in the games, the player receives five. Also, Oak is handing him one more Poké Ball than he needs, as a Pokémon Trainer can only hold six Pokémon at one time.

Being that those are just place holders, and the 6th ball is to replace them and register the starter to the trainer, those errors are obsolete. I would do it but I've edited that page to much for everyone's comfort.

Hate to break it to you, but the term "Pokémon Power" not only encompasses older-style Pokémon Powers, but also Poké-POWERs and Poké-BODies as well. Because Igglybuff has a Poké-BODY and a Poké-POWER, it most decidedly has two Pokémon Powers of any sort, a milestone you're trying to place on the Arceus in question.

I saw the animation of emerald version and the arm is "lower"..... I did get a registeel in my Diamond game(with action replay), and I saw, yes, the animation for the arm has, indeed gotten "higher"....... Can anyone find out why? :The reason it says that is because it is available in a different game in that generation (Pt). It's the same with Tangela and Tropius - they are obtainable in Pt so they are "tradeable" to D/P. The starters and other legendaries are unobtainable, so only get "Pal Park". Although it is more accurate, we only list the Pal Park reference if there is no other method. Technically, the likes of Ralts, Wurmple and Magikarp can all be obtained by Pal Park as well, but because they can be caught in-game it isn't mentioned.
