:This is the main reason I think it might be an anagram! Usually I'd not say anything, given what a long shot that is, but there's got to be something clever going on with that name, it can't be from "pin," why would it be from "pin?" "Pinches" is the only other word I see in there. Pine, maybe, but chestnuts and pines are two different things. ::You're right, we know that dinosaurs are more similar to birds than to reptiles (they're not birds however), but if I remember correctly, in 90's that was still unclear. Well, Chespin is absolutely the first mammal-based Grass starter, unless it doesn't change in one of it's evolutions. Tano User talk:Tano 18:26, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
::* I have to correct myself and NateVirus here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur -> "Rather, they represent a separate group of reptiles with a distinct upright posture". So dinosaurs are indeed reptiles, and so Bulbasaur and Chikorita are based on reptiles. Birds evolved from theropoda, a group of dinosaurs (still reptiles). I also asked a biologist friend of mine and he confirmed, making it sound pretty obvious. Tano User talk:Tano 18:46, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
::: So, yes, every single Grass-type starter was based on reptiles, as Bulbasaur is a Dicynodontia (a taxon of anomodont therapsids or mammal-like reptiles), and Chikorita (or rather Meganium) is a Brontosaurus, and both are reptiles. Theothers are a gecko, a turtle and a snake. Tano User talk:Tano 18:49, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
Like how Piplup is noted to be the first bird Water starter, and Oshawott the first mammal Water starter. It's a little redundant to note that Chespin is both the first mammal and the first non-reptile. I had no idea at first why I couldn't get Soothe Bell. Then I figured it out. Using "(hidden)" really confused me. It really makes a difference if "(hidden)" is used instead of "hidden" or something to distinguish between nearby items and items that need to be "dug" out? Skyarrow Bridge appeared in BW021, where Ash and his friends crossed it. It is a huge suspension bridge like it is in the games. The trees of Pinwheel Forest can be seen on the forest side of the bridge, a small Poké Mart is also there which has food and a telephone system. This is where Ash contacted Professor Juniper and switched his Sewaddle with his Pidove. Pictures of the old ferry system that was built before the bridge can be seen in the mart. Before the Poké Mart was there an old storage building for ferry supplies was there. Near the bridge is a road for transportation.

A Gothitelle created a fog around the bridge to deter people from crossing. Still, Ash, Iris, and Cilan crossed it anyway and it attacked them. It then creates the illusion of its old life with Sallie and her father. The group is confused when they see the same Gothitelle attack them earlier being nice and friendly towards them. While the illusion was convincing, Cilan knew something was amiss.

They later follow Gothitelle to Skyarrow Bridge where it attacks them once more. That's when its old friend Sallie appears to stop it. Gothitelle was happy to be reunited with its old friend and clears the fog from the bridge, letting Ash and company cross. It then mysteriously disappears.

Trivia
* Skyarrow Bridge draws inspiration from Brooklyn Bridge and Rainbow Bridge (Tokyo).
* If the player enters Skyarrow Bridge, and then gets on their bicycle, the music does not change.
* Skyarrow Bridge is approximately 391 steps long from one entrance to the other.
* A player can walk along the center of the bridge from one entrance to the other without bumping into any people.
* Because of the bridge's length and the unobstructed path from one side to the other, Skyarrow Bridge is optimal for boosting Happiness (granting one boost for one trip and three boosts for two trips) and hatching Pokemon eggs.
