Oh Do You Know The Poffin Plan! (Japanese: 怪傑ロズレイドと花伝説！ The Gifted Roserade and the Flower Legend!) is the 25th episode of the Diamond & Pearl, and the 491st episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on March 29, 2007 and in the United States on September 1, 2007.

<!-- Short summary goes here. -->
spoilers
Synopsis
During the night, TRT sneaks into a garden and snacks on berries. They notice an aroma that leads them to a building. On top of it, a caped figure jumps out and attacks with Magical Leaf, sending Team Rocket blasting off.

Ash and ashfr arrive in Floaroma Town as Brock notices all the flowers, Dawn running off to smell them. An elderly woman comes by and tells them about when Floaroma Town was once barren and without any kind of vegetation. Legend has it that a beautiful woman went atop the hill and expressed gratitude, which resulted in flowers growing exponentially. After telling the story, the woman leaves as Dawn notices a sign about a Poffin cooking class. Ash and Brock do not know what Poffins are, but Dawn explains that they are Pokémon snacks that improve conditions, recounting past experiences helping her mother. Ash associates them with Hoenn Pokéblocks, but Brock mentions that they are made differently. Dawn convinces the others to take the class with her.

They go to the location as a Lotad and Roserade take care of the garden. Ash calls inside the house as Dawn notices that he is scaring a nearby Roserade. Ash checks his Pokédex. A woman steps out and asks if they are taking the cooking class, introducing herself as Forsythia. Brock is instantly attracted to her, but Brock calms him with Poison Jab and drags him away. She brings them in and gives a quick demo on making Poffins generally. Dawn uses her Pokétch Pokétch App to help cook Poffins to the appropriate measure. Forsythia remarks on her solid knowledge, Dawn mentioning her experiences with her mother. Brock tries to talk about helping his family out, but Croagunk's presence is enough to calm him down. Dawn’s timer beeps and she spreads the Poffin onto the mold platter. Meanwhile, Ash is struggling, almost spilling the batter but winding up burning it instead. Everyone finishes making Poffins at the same time, and all three of them bring out their Pokémon. Dawn's Pokémon tries her Poffins, but all three find them horrible. Brock's Pokémon like his Poffin, but Ash's Pokémon eats Forsythia's Poffins since his are burnt. He tries to eat them all himself, but he finds it obviously disgusting. Forsythia tries to reassure Ash as Dawn chases Dawn, sending one of Dawn’s Poffins outside. It rolls up to MTR and the Pokémon eats it, instantly perking him up and making him happy. Dawn and Ash wash dishes as Forsythia explains to Dawn that each Pokémon has a Poffin preference and that there is a unique recipe for each. Copying her mother’s recipe would be fine for her Johanna, but it is ill suited for other Pokémon. Meanwhile, Team Rocket decides to take the Poffins to get rich.

Forsythia prepares the group some tea as Roserade serves the plate, but quickly backs away scared. She mentions that Roserade has been very shy and nervous for as long as she remembers. She brings up the story of meeting Roserade, back as a Budew, in a Pokémon Center. Budew went with Forsythia when it saw the flowers she was holding. Forsythia gave Budew a red scarf to keep it warm, and it quickly evolved to Roselia and finally Roserade.

Suddenly, a giant explosion gets their attention as one of Team Rocket's mechas steals all the berries and destroys the garden. Team Rocket recites their Team Rocket. Ash's Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but it has no effect. Jessie's Dustox and James's Carnivine come out, but when Carnivine latches onto James, he sends out James, but both latch onto him. Dustox uses Poison Sting as Brock's Croagunk uses Poison Sting to block it. Dawn's Piplup uses BubbleBeam and Ash's Turtwig uses Razor Leaf, but Cacnea’s Pin Missile and Carnivine’s Bullet Seed blocks the attacks. Roserade runs off and gets the red scarf, quickly exuding confidence. Dawn attacks with Swift, but Jessie uses Counter to block. Dawn uses Ice Beam but Cacnea uses Sandstorm to block. Team Rocket attempts to leave, but Roserade suddenly attacks with Magical Leaf. Team Rocket remembers last night and associates Roserade with the figure that attacked them. Forsythia recognizes the red scarf and wonders why Roserade is suddenly so aggressive. Lotad talks and Meowth translates that Roserade protects the orchard from bad guys and puts on the scarf to gain confidence.

Ash sends Pikachu to use Quick Attack to rock the mecha, but Meowth deploys baskets to lock everyone but Forsythia down. Dustox uses Gust to pin Roserade, but it jumps off the roof. Meowth tries to take the scarf off Roserade, but Roserade resists. James sends James to use Tickle on Roserade. It works and the scarf comes off, sending Roserade to the ground in fear. Team Rocket attempts to take off, taking Roserade with them. Forsythia runs to block them from leaving, as the others are helpless to help her. Forsythia convinces Roserade that it is powerful even without the scarf. Roserade snaps out of fear and breaks free of the grip, using Petal Dance to shear the tires and the baskets, freeing Ash and his friends. The group attacks with Piplup’s BubbleBeam and Croagunk’s Poison Sting. Pikachu's Iron Tail cuts the basket and releases the captured berries. Roserade’s Petal Dance sends Team Rocket blasting off a second time.

Roserade uses Sunny Day and Lotad uses Water Gun to help repair the damaged garden, fresh plants sprouting in place, much like the legend of Floaroma Town. Dawn prepares another batch of Poffins as her Pokémon are reluctant to eat it. Buneary and Pachirisu try to get Piplup to taste first, but Piplup convinces them to all eat at once. This time, the Pokémon like the Poffins. Dawn learned from Forsythia that she could raise a strong yet beautiful Pokémon like Roserade. Dawn is now inspired to prepare for the next Super Contest.

* The English title of this episode is a reference to the line "Do you know the Muffin Man?", a classic nursery rhyme.
* This episode originally aired as a one-hour special with Cooking Up A Sweet Story!.
* Music from Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Pokémon Heroes, and the old Team Rocket theme is used as background music.
* Dawn used the Kitchen Timer on her Pokétch when she was cooking Poffins.
* Meowth tries a stray Poffin made from Johanna's recipe for Glameow and likes it. This may partly be because Meowth and Glameow are both cat Pokémon.
* Forsythia and her Roserade are seen holding a Sprayduck on different occasions.
* Kikuko Inoue replaces Yuriko Yamaguchi, who is on maternity leave.

Errors
* In the flashback, it is shown that Forsythia's Budew evolved into Roselia and then into Roserade just because it was so happy being around so many flowers. However, in the games, while Budew does evolve into Roselia through Happiness, it only evolves into Roserade when exposed to a Shiny Stone.
* The title of this episode has a punctuation error. A question mark should be added at the end.

Dub edits
* In the Japanese version, there was an original intro for this episode, yet Pokémon USA starts out the episode with a cold open format (not present in the Japanese version), and then using the original intro after the theme song is played. This is also true for Cooking Up A Sweet Story.
Synopsis
On their way to Olivine City, the gang decides to stop at a lakeside campsite for a break. Ash finishes washing up and is ready for breakfast. He and Misty check on Brock to see if the oatmeal he was preparing was ready yet. Ash then complains that he's tired of oatmeal. Brock doesn't respond and Misty asks if he's okay. When Ash touches him, he falls over. Ash apologizes thinking that he fell over because of his comment about the oatmeal. Misty feels his forehead and discovers that he has a terrible fever.

Ash and Misty take him inside the cabin and get him into bed. All of the Pokémon are watching through the windows and door of the cabin to see what's happening. Ash says that Brock's fever was caused by exhaustion and that he should rest for the day. Misty agrees. All of a sudden Brock wakes up. He tries to get out of bed claiming that there was a lot of work to be done. As soon as he stands up he is struck with dizziness and nearly collapses until Ash caught him. Ash and Misty convince him that he should rest for the day. Brock agrees and tells them to use the notes he made on doing chores.

Later while Ash and Misty were deciding how to do the chores for the day, they are approached by Brock's Geodude and Brock who are looking particular eager for something. Misty realizes that this day is the day that Brock usually polishes them. Ash takes on the heavy task of polishing Onix while Misty starts to polish Geodude. While Misty is reading the instructions on how to polish Rock Pokémon, Ash calls for his Totodile. He then commands it to use Water Gun to get the job done faster. Onix then struggles around frantically trying to dodge the Water Gun attacks. Misty yells at him and reminds him that Rock Pokémon hate water. Ash tells Totodile to stop and then he and Misty are knocked over with Onix's tail.

Meanwhile, Brock is having a dream that he's in a beautiful meadow with three dancing Bellossom. All of a sudden, his name is being called by three beautiful women. He attempts to meet them but is then struck by a meteor. He soon snaps out of his sleep and sees Brock on his chest and Brock at his side. Brock thanks them for watching him and then hears Ash and Misty arguing. He decides to go help them but Golbat hits him with a light Supersonic attack and he falls back down in his bed. He realizes that his Pokémon are trying to get him to rest. He is touched by this and decides to rest for their sake.

A while later, Ash decides to go find something to have for lunch. He takes Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile with him into the forest. They soon come across some apple trees but they don't see any apples. Not far away, Team Rocket used a vacuum to strip the trees of their apples and had a plan to sell them. Ash sees them and confronts them about it and they do their motto. They then use the same vacuum to catch Pikachu. A battle then ensues. Jessie sends out Jessie while James sends out James, which turns and bites him. Ash tells Totodile to use Water Gun on them. He then tells Cyndaquil to use Flamethrower which releases picture from the case. Ash then commands Pikachu to use Thunderbolt and sends Team Rocket blasting off. Afterwards, Ash decides to help himself to the apples they picked.

Back at the campsite, Brock is having yet another dream. This time he's in a clear sky with a few Butterfree. He is then called over by the same three girls from his first dream. As he's running to them, he falls through the clouds. Ash and Misty enter the room to see Brock fall out of bed. Ash and Misty wonder about his strange behavior as he gets back into bed. Ash hands over a plate of cut up apples for Brock to eat. He eats a slice whole and starts to choke on it. Golbat pats his back with its wing to help it go down. Misty explains that Brock must be getting better because his appetite has returned. Still, they recommend that he sleep for the rest of the day. Brock then says he'll try to run faster to catch the girls in his dream.

Dinner time is approaching fast and Misty decides to take on the task. She tries to follow Brock's recipe but realizes she put in salt instead of sugar into the pot. Misty brings her a bag of sugar. But then she pours in too much and looks for the salt. Misty brings it her and again she pours too much in so she adds more sugar. Feeling that the recipe is boring, she decides to add some of her own ingredients such as ketchup, mayonnaise, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce among many other things. Later, Misty serves the concoction to Ash and Pikachu, who aren't very enthusiastic to eat it. Ash tells her that he ate too many apples earlier but she doesn't believe him. She tastes it for herself and gets a disgusted look on her face.

Later that night, Ash and Misty decide to sleep outside so that Brock can get a better rest. They then begin to talk about how hard Brock works and that they should be more grateful to him. The two then fall asleep. A little bit later, Team Rocket is seen spying on them as they plan to steal all of their Pokémon. James and MTR notice Jessie eating something. She shows them the pot of botched stew that Misty had made earlier. She claims that it is the most delicious thing she had ever tasted. Meowth and James decide to help themselves but are disgusted by the taste. Jessie doesn't understand how they could not like it. Soon Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile are awakened by the sound of what they thought was Ash's voice. They look over to a nearby bush and see a cardboard cut out of Ash which they believe to be the real thing. But Bulbasaur knows better and tries to stop the others from approaching it. However it is too late and all four end up caught in a net. Ash and Misty hear all the noise and wake up. Team Rocket then takes off with the four captured Pokémon. Ash and Misty pursue them and take the rest of the Pokémon with them.

Meanwhile, Brock is having yet another dream. This time of a beautiful ocean with a few Magikarp frolicking in it. Again, the same three girls call out his name. When he goes over to meet them, he is hit by a tidal wave and dragged out to sea. He is then awoken by Golbat and Pineco. Brock looks out the window and sees Ash and Misty running off with the Pokémon following. He automatically assumes it's Team Rocket's doing.

While chasing Team Rocket, Ash and Misty fall right into one of their pitfall traps. They then board there balloon, which has jet engines attached to it. Four claws come out and pick up Misty, Misty, Onix, and Geodude. Now Pikachu is unable to shock them because it might hurt the other Pokémon. Pikachu is soon grabbed as well. When everything looks grim, Golbat suddenly appears and attacks their balloon with Wing Attack. It crashes and all the Pokémon are set free. Brock soon shows up looking much better than he did earlier. Jessie and James send out Arbok and James, respectively. Brock tells Pineco and Golbat to team up and attack Arbok and Weezing. Then he tells Onix to uses Rock Throw. Pikachu soon finishes the job with Thunderbolt and Team Rocket blasts off again.

The next morning, Ash and Misty wake up and notice a delicious aroma in the air. It's none other than Brock's cooking. They tell him that the oatmeal is delicious. Brock says that he feels way better and he wants to start work again today. But then Ash suggests that Brock take another day off to make sure that he doesn't get sick again. He agrees and goes in the cabin. He dreams of the three beautiful girls again. But this time, he catches them.
Friends to the End (Japanese: ポケモンリーグ！さいごのたたかい！ Pokémon League! Final Battle!) is the 80th episode of the Pokémon anime. It was first broadcast in Japan on January 21, 1999 and in the United States on November 27, 1999.
Synopsis
Ash is still upset that he lost his last match. He's been lying in his bed ever since, and his friends, mother, and Professor Oak are getting worried. Misty comments that he should be happy that he made it as far as he did and goes in to try to cheer him up. She offers to get him something to eat or take a walk, but he refuses. She tells him that she's only trying to help. They start to argue about how good a Trainer Ash really is when Professor Oak comes in. He tells Ash that he should have trained Charizard better. Misty and Ash start to argue again and Pikachu, fed up with it all, ThunderShocks everyone in the room.

Ritchie's next battle is about to begin. He sits in a locker room and talks to his Pokémon. The door opens and in walk Ash, Misty, and Brock. They wish him luck and the battle begins. Brief battles are shown where Charmander battles against Rhydon, Butterfree against Venomoth and a Spearow against a Tentacool.

Both Trainers are fairly equally matched and they are soon both down to their last Pokémon. Ritchie's opponent, Assunta, sends out Ivysaur and Ritchie sends out Sparky. As soon as he pops out, Sparky gets a beating by Ivysaur. None of his ThunderShocks are connecting. Ivysaur jumps into the air and unleashes a SolarBeam, hurling Sparky to the ground. Just as he gets up, he is hit by Ivysaur's Tackle. He struggles to get up again, but it is no use. Assunta wins. Ritchie runs up to his Pikachu and makes sure he's OK. In the stands, Ash and his friends are disappointed.

Later, Ash joins Ritchie near a lake. As their Pikachu play, they talk about their losses. Ritchie says that he would've trained harder if he'd known how tough the competition would be. He then comments on how losing is good for Trainers, and Ash realizes how much of a baby he was. He and Ritchie promise to become Pokémon Masters no matter what.

Suddenly, both Pikachu fall into a hole. Ritchie and Ash run over to see what happened, and they too fall into a hole. Team Rocket appear at the surface and laugh at them. Ash tries to climb up the side, but slips down. When he lands, the bottom falls out and he and Ritchie plummet another few feet. Team Rocket use a cage at the end of a fishing pole and pull both of their Pikachu out of the hole. They try to shock them, but James tells them that the bars absorb electricity. They start to make their getaway when Ash and Ritchie rise out of the other hole, clinging to their Pidgeotto and Butterfree respectively.

Ash sends out Bulbasaur, who tries to grab the cage with his Vine Whip. James sends James for a Smog attack. Pidgeotto blows the gas back at Team Rocket with Gust and Ritchie sends out Zippo. After Bulbasaur frees Pikachu and Sparky with a Razor Leaf, Zippo ignites the gas with a Flamethrower.
As Team Rocket run around in pain, Ash has Pikachu and Sparky recharge the cage, he sends out Squirtle who extinguishes Team Rocket with Water Gun. Then Ash tosses the cage into their hands where it explodes, blasting Team Rocket into the air.

As the sun sets, Ash and Ritchie congratulate each other. Brock and Misty run up and invite him and Ritchie to dinner, after which they'll go to the closing ceremonies. Later that night, the closing ceremonies begin. Everyone marches back in, waving. Mr. Goodshow gives each and every one of them the special badge. As this is going on, however, Team Rocket is digging a hole outside. They aim to dig under the field and steal the Pokémon.

Back inside, the top three Trainers (who are shadowed) wave from the stage amid the cheers of the crowd. Team Rocket continues to dig as fireworks go off in the sky. MTR listens at the ground above and tells Jessie and James to dig up. Unfortunately for them, a huge bomb falls through. It goes off and Team Rocket is blasted off again.

The next morning, all is quiet. Ash and Ritchie sit in the stands talking. Their Pikachu come running up to them and are warmly greeted. After Ash reminds him of their promise, Ritchie sets off. Ash remembers the highlights of the League games, all from when he saw Moltres at the opening ceremonies to when he lost to Ritchie. He gazes at the sky then he looks over and sees his friends, mom, and Professor Oak. Smiling he asks Pikachu if he's ready to go back to Pallet Town. He runs over to his friends. His first adventure has now ended, but his next one is just about to begin.
