In Generation I, he's called both THE Pokémon Collector and "a true blue Pokémaniac." Never once do the first generation games call him a Pokémon Researcher. Where did that come from - speculation based on the fact he made the PC System? He's more of a Sys Ops than a Researcher. Satosuke 20:26, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
: The anime and The Electric Tale of Pikachu explicitly label him as a Pokémon Researcher, and Pokémon Special has shown him studying Pokémon in the wild. You're right in saying he's not mentioned as being a Researcher in the games, but in other canon, he's not really just Sys Ops either.Kaz
Just a generic Monster Pokemon
It says here that in Generation 1, Bill was combined with a Clefairy. I thought it was just a costume, and if it was a Clefairy, wouldn't it have the Fairy Pokemon sprite? How do we know it's a Clefairy? Jdrawer 17:11, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
:It was only a costume in the anime. Every other instance, he's actually fused with a Pokémon. As for whether or not we know for certain he combined himself with a Clefairy, you're right, we don't. We can only assume it was because of the fact that it was a Clefairy in the remakes. :::The difference though is that Bill's grandfather actually does something in-game. As far as I know, Bill's father doesn't do anything special besides being Bill's father. Funktastic~! 22:00, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
:::To add, he doesn't actually appear anyway. He's at best only mentioned as a passing reference. Which character he is comes down to pure fan speculation. Adding an article about him would therefore be a lot like adding an article about Ash's father because we just don't know anything about him beyond what Brent, Bill, and Bill's mother tells us via one-liners. --JXValentine 17:59, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Bill’s dad is the Move Tutor.
* He is only mentioned in Crystal.
* Bill describes him as a deadbeat who doesn’t work.
* Bill’s mother says he’s at the Game Corner, and describes him as a former Pokémaniac.
* The Move Tutor only appears in Crystal.
* He stands outside the Game Corner, and after being paid in coins walks inside where he sits at one of the machines.
* When the Move Tutor is outside, his machine has a sweet drink left behind. Not just lazy, but an alcoholic too…
I might be misunderstanding, but it appears that somebody was requesting Dragonite's voice actor in the anime. I searched up whale sound effects online and got an almost identical sound from the English dub (although the pitches and quality were different, but that might just be YouTube). I believe that they just got the sound effect from a Public Domain soundbank (or 4Kids was up to some sort of antics [[User:Hatster|Hatster tried his best.
The Snag List is a P★DA feature that appears in Colosseum and . It is list of the Shadow Pokémon created by Cipher that the player has and is able to snag.

Overview
The Snag List is found in the P★DA to show what Shadow Pokémon the player has or has not encountered or snagged. The list can also show detailed information about all known Shadow Pokémon, such as gender (which is either indicated as male, female, or ? in the case of genderless Pokémon), the Trainer that had the Pokémon earlier, the location the Pokémon was seen the first time, and the purification status (either purified or heart closed). If the player successfully catches a Shadow Pokémon, the Snag List will reflect this with a Poké Ball icon (a regular one if purified, a shaded one if not purified).

Updates
At the beginning of both games, all entries in the Snag List only consist of Pokémon already seen by the player. As the player progresses, however, limited information for previously unseen Shadow Pokémon can be viewed as well. In Colosseum, the Snag List is updated by the Kids Grid, while in Pokémon XD, the P★DA can download a list of created Shadow Pokémon from a list left on Gorigan's desk.
*The Trainer from which it was Snagged
*The status of its Heart
*Where it was Snagged
