In [[Pokémon Gold and Silver|Pokémon Gold, Silver]], and [[Pokémon Crystal|Crystal]], one can't fight Jasmine right away, as she's busy taking care of a sick {{p|Ampharos}}. First one must get a special medicine from the pharmacy in [[Cianwood City]] and give it to her.

Jasmine trains the recently-discovered Steel-type Pokémon, but it's said that she recently used to train a different type. A Gentleman in the Lighthouse says she used to train {{t|Rock}}-Type Pokémon, like {{p|Onix}}.

Jasmine is a very shy girl, and has trouble speaking. She's compassionate, and when [[Amphy]], the Ampharos in the [[Sparkling Lighthouse|lighthouse]] tower, falls ill, Jasmine is so worried she cannot even smile. Amphy and Jasmine appear to be close, because when the medicine is brought from Cianwood City, Amphy will only take it from her.

The Olivine City Gym is probably the most simply designed Pokémon Gym in Johto. It consists of just one straight, fairly short walkway, outlined with boulders, leading up to a small set of steps onto a raised stone platform. For this reason, and possibly due somewhat to Jasmine's shy nature, she appears to be the only member of her gym.

In addition to the Mineral Badge, Jasmine gives out {{TM|23|Iron Tail}}.

In [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl]], Jasmine is staying in [[Sunyshore City]] for a while, which she says reminds her of home with [[Vista Lighthouse|its lighthouse]] and its location on the sea. Jasmine was caught in an {{m|Earthquake}} caused by [[Team Rocket]] while traveling through [[Ecruteak City]]. She had climbed the [[Tin Tower]] to get away from the shaking and got caught in some rubble. Using Ampharos to send off a distress flare, she caught the attention of both {{Special|Gold}} and {{Special|Silver}}. The two boys actually fought over who would get to rescue her, and she only barely managed to escape, leaving the young rivals trapped in the tower.

Jasmine later managed to recover. At the Pokémon League Tournament, she fought against [[Brock]]. She covered her Steelix in rubble to make it look like an {{p|Onix}}, thinking that the newly-discovered Steel Pokémon would be too horrifying for people to see.

Jasmine once specialized in {{t|Rock}}-type Pokémon before {{Special|Crystal}} and [[Professor Oak]] discovered Steel-type Pokémon.

Should Pikachu be considered a 'normal' starter? I mean, it isn't part of the Fire/Water/Grass triangle, and it can also be captured in the wild in many of the other games, something that no other starters have right now. :Well, why not? The fact it is not part of the triangle does not disqualify him as a starter Pokémon. If we had a Dark/Fighting/Psych triangle, wouldn't still they be starters? Also, the Fire/Grass/Water triangle is already broken is some cases, like the 4th generation starters having second types after they evolve. In any case, he is undoubtedly a starter in the ranks of Squirtle and Charmander. ::Well, don't forget that also, pretty much every starter gets a second type through evolution. Only ones who don't are Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Treecko. Hell, Bulbasaur has two types in its basic form.

:Well, why not? The fact it is not part of the triangle does not disqualify him as a starter Pokémon. If we had a Dark/Fighting/Psych triangle, wouldn't still they be starters? Also, the Fire/Grass/Water triangle is already broken is some cases, like the 4th generation starters having second types after they evolve. In any case, he is undoubtedly a starter in the ranks of Squirtle and Charmander. The '''Power Plant''' (Japanese: '''むじんはつでんしょ''' ''Unmanned Power Plant'') is a facility that was abandoned years ago, though some of the machinery still works. It is infested with {{t|Electric}}-[[type]] [[Pokémon]].

It is located on [[Route 10]], although to reach it, a Pokémon must {{m|Surf}} along a river which can only be accessed on [[Route 9]].

The Power Plant is the only known roost of the [[Legendary Pokémon]], {{p|Zapdos}}.

It has only one storey. In [[Generation I]], some of the items found in the Power Plant include a {{i|Carbos}}, [[TM33]] ({{m|Reflect}}), [[TM25]] ({{m|Thunder}}), a [[Rare Candy]], and a {{i|HP Up}}.

However, many of the item capsules littering the Power Plant are actually camoflaged {{p|Voltorb}} or {{p|Electrode}}, so treasure seekers should be wary.

In [[Generation II]], the Power Plant has been restored and refurbished.
