'''Pokémon Ranger''' (Japanese: '''ポケモンレンジャー''') is an action-adventure game for the [[Nintendo DS]] developed jointly by [[Creatures, Inc.]] and [[HAL Laboratory, Inc.]]. It was released on Thursday, March 23, 2006 in Japan and on October 30, 2006 in North America. It is also set to release on December 7, 2006 in Australia, and sometime in first quarter 2007 in Europe. The goal of the game is to travel all over the land of [[Fiore]] to capture all the 213 Pokémon that are available using the Nintendo DS touch screen and stylus. Instead of capturing Pokémon in Pokéballs, you use a device called the Capture Styler to add Pokémon to your party. You can only use the Pokémon to help you once, after using them, they then leave your party.

==Pokémon assist==

{{cleanup}}

Each Pokémon has its own Pokémon assist. When using this, the Pokémon will jump into your capture styler and give him a extra power. Grass Pokémon give the capture styler the power that when you draw a line bushes will appear that trap the Pokémon. And there are much Pokémon assists: fire, ground, water and many more.

'''Grass:''' The capture discs line creates weeds that can immobilize pokémon for about 3-5 seconds.

'''Water:''' When the capture disc is held down it will start to form a bubble. The longer it is held down the bigger the bubble will get, to release flick it.

'''Fire:''' The capture line leaves flames that stun pokemon and also creates an explosion when a loop is closed.

'''Fighting:''' Each loop drawn is the equivalent of two.

'''Ground:''' Earth is churned up, stopping pokemon in their tracks if they step on it.

'''Ice:''' When a loop is completed, ice juts up that will freeze a pokemon who steps on it.

'''Ghost:''' When a loop is completed, a ghost appears in the center and will try to freeze pokemon.

'''Dark:''' At the penalty of some health, the maximum capture line length doubles.

'''Bug:''' Blobs can be flung by flicking the stylus on the screen that will stop pokemon.

'''Psychic:''' Pokemon are levitated in midair.

'''Poison:''' The capture line leaves fog that works like grass or churned earth.

'''Flying:''' Whirl wind are created in the same manner as the bug assist.

'''Electric:''' Recharges the styler.

'''Rock:''' Shoots rock shards that immobilize the pokemon.
