:Well, initially I thought it would, but after spending half an hour running away from wild Pokémon, neither of my two pickupers have picked anything up yet. That doesn&#039;t necessarily mean that running away doesn&#039;t count as a battle for the purpose of pickup, I could just be really unlucky at the moment, but each time I run away it gets less likely that it does. That doesn&#039;t necessarily mean that running away doesn&#039;t count as a battle for the purpose of pickup, I could just be really unlucky at the moment, but each time I run away it gets less likely that it does.
