The Shinto Ruins (Japanese: シントいせき Shinto Ruins) are a location in HeartGold and SoulSilver. While it is not a part of any known region, it can be visited by way of a mysterious entry point in the Ruins of Alph.

The only known way to the Shinto Ruins is by way of the Ruins of Alph. Bringing an Arceus from a Nintendo event here will unlock the new area, but this will only occur if the Arceus is currently the player's partner Pokémon. Cynthia will be found waiting for the player, and will tell them that Arceus has the ability to create newborn Pokémon. She will escort the player into the ruins and show them an area called the Triad Stage (Japanese: みつぶたい) that is linked to Arceus's power of creation. The player will get a choice to obtain only one of either Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina at level 1, equipped with their respective orbs. Arceus must be the only Pokémon in the player's party for this to occur, and a PC is inside the cabin near the ruins for the player to use.
*The background music in this area is an arrangement of themes used in and on Mt. Coronet, indicating a possible connection.
*As many fans predicted, the name is a portmanteau of Sinnoh and Johto, as it is a place where the architecture and legends of both regions meet.
**Its Japanese title may also be a pun on the Japanese native religion of Shinto, whose creation story is heavily referenced by the dragon trio, Arceus, and Spear Pillar.
*The Sinjoh Ruins are outside the range of the map, and therefore technically are not part of the Ruins of Alph, or the regions of Johto and Kanto. It is unknown where exactly they are in relation to Sinnoh and Mt. Coronet; the only hint to their location is the PokéGear's map of Johto pointing north.
*The creation event that takes place here includes real-life pictures in the game. This is the first time this has happened in any Pokémon canon.
*Choosing the Giratina from the event is the only legitimate way to get a Griseous Orb, and therefore Giratina in its Origin Forme, in a HeartGold or SoulSilver game because the item cannot be traded from Platinum.

Fae55: /* Differences between generations */ Changed 'Apricorn Case' to the US equivalent, the Apricorn Box.

Apricorns (Japanese: ぼんぐりのみ Bonguri Fruit) are a special fruit that is native to the Johto region. They appear to be related to Berries, and are encountered only in , the games that focus on Johto.

The most major difference between Apricorns and Berries is in the use of the fruit. While Berries can be used in and outside battle by a Pokémon to heal on the fly, an Apricorn's outer skin is far too tough for it to be eaten by a Pokémon. Instead, Apricorns are hollowed out by specialists and fitted with special devices to be used to catch Pokémon. One such specialist, Kurt, lives in Azalea Town with his granddaughter, Maisy, who assists him in his work.

The special Poké Balls made from Apricorns are unique, quite rare, and often valuable for a Trainer to have on hand in battle. This is due to the fragile nature of Apricorn trees, which may die if too many Apricorns are picked at once or before they are mature enough. Only one Apricorn may be picked per tree per day, in order to prevent harm to it.

In times gone by, the only Poké Balls that existed were made from Apricorns, with the process used to create the Poké Balls being developed sometime between 700 and 400 years<!--Between the burning of Brass Tower and first Orange League competitions--> before the present day in all Pokémon canons. As they were, at the time, the only Poké Balls, Apricorn Balls were quite common, unlike in modern times, when large companies like Silph Co. and the Devon Corporation develop Poké Balls mechanically and mass-produce them for use by Trainers.

Differences between generations
While Apricorns have retained their properties between the five games in which they are available, the most major tweak to their properties has been to their availability. While in all Generation II games, only one of each is available per day, from the Apricorn trees on Routes 37 and 42 and in Azalea Town, in Crystal, Kurt is able to make more than one Apricorn Ball per day, if he is given multiple Apricorns of the same color.

The return of Apricorns in HeartGold and SoulSilver solves much of the problem of their availability, with all trees containing the Berries now having Apricorns growing instead, with some now doubled up, with two trees, rather than one, in some areas. The problem of holding them when they are found is also remedied, as they no longer are placed in the bag's items pocket, but instead in the Apricorn Box, a key item that acts much in the same way that the Berry Pouch did in FireRed and LeafGreen.

While Apricorns and the Poké Balls that are made from them can be held by a Pokémon in Generation II, this is not allowed in the Generation IV remakes, as these items are not programmed into the other games of that generation. A Pokémon caught in an Apricorn Ball, however, can be traded to the Sinnoh three, where the Ball will appear in battle and on the status screen as a plain Poké Ball.

Apricorns can further be used in Generation IV, a side effect of their increased availability. In this generation, the seven can be mixed together into special drinks for Pokémon with an Apricorn Shaker, which improve a Pokémon's performance in the various Pokéthlon competitions. Much like Berries, the color of the Apricorns roughly matches up to their flavor and to the Performance stat that they enhance.

In the anime
Apricorns have only appeared once in the anime, in Goin' Apricorn. In this episode, Kurt helped Ash, Misty, and Brock to harvest Apricorns, making Poké Balls from the three Wht Apricorns, two Blu Apricorns, and lone Blk Apricorn that were found and giving Brock, Misty, and Ash each a Fast Ball, Brock a Heavy Ball, and Ash and Misty each a Lure Ball for later use.

While Apricorns themselves have not been seen since, all three characters who received one caught a Pokémon each with an Apricorn Ball, with Brock using his Fast Ball on a Brock, Ash and Misty using theirs both on a Totodile and subsequently fighting over the custody of it, and Misty later using hers alone on a Misty. Presumably, Ash and Misty still have their unused Fast Balls, and Brock still has his unused Heavy Ball. Another Heavy Ball, likely also made by Kurt, was used in Gulpin it Down, though it was not Brock's.

Trivia
* A woman in the Azalea Town Pokémon Center mentions that before Poké Balls became standardized, everyone used hollowed-out Apricorns to capture Pokémon. This is likely how Kurt mastered the trade.
* Apricorns have sprites for the Apricorn Case as well as in-bag sprites, indicating that the Apricorn Case may have been a later addition to the game. The in-bag sprites are used in the final game as sprites on the point-exchange menu in the Pokéthlon Dome.
* Grn Apricorns are by far the most common type, while Wht and Red Apricorns are tied for the rarest, appearing in eight and three places, respectively.
* In the anime, possibly as a coloring error, Blk Apricorns were portrayed as being brown-colored.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky (Japanese: ポケモン不思議のダンジョン 空の探検隊 Pokémon Fushigi no Dungeon Sora no Tankentai) is a game developed by Chunsoft, and is a sister game to Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. The game was first announced in CoroCoro, which released the first details in January 2009. It was officially released in Japan on April 18, 2009 and in North America on October 12th, 2009.

New features
*Players can now play as four new starter Pokémon: Phanpy, Vulpix, <!--Not Eevee, Eevee was playable in MD1--> Riolu, and Shinx. Munchlax and Meowth are no longer playable, but Eevee returns from Mystery Dungeon 1. Moreover, every playable Pokémon, plus Meowth and Munchlax, are now available as partners.
**Starter and partner Pokémon now come along with an egg move.
*Players can now play the music used in the game with the Sky Jukebox.
*There is a new place called Spinda's Café where the following can be found:
**Spinda's Juice Bar grants access to the Unexplored Land, and it also allows players to make their own food.
**Recycle Shop allows players to exchange excess items for other items. The more items exchanged, the better the items available will be. Players may also get Prize Tickets to obtain items.
*The player's team recruits can now be found in Spinda's Café.
* There is a new location called the Secret Bazaar which is found randomly in dungeons. It is run by a Kirlia. The bazaar has several stalls found inside.
**Mime Jr.'s stall restores the player's health and also feeds them.
**Swalot's Grab Bag Shop gives players Grab Bags. They may hold useful items inside them.
**Lickilicky's will help players clean items in their inventory.
**Shedinja's gives players a chance to escape the dungeon sooner.
*Players can find a statue of Arceus in a new dungeon called Destiny Tower. The story here involves a new item called the Space Globe.
*Players only lose half of their money when defeated in a dungeon, instead of all of it.
*Using DS Download Play, the player can send their friends a demo of the game.
*The Luxray and Luxio tribe that was the boss of Amp Plains has been replaced by the Manectric and Electrike tribe. This is possibly due to one of the starter and partner choices in this game being Shinx.
*Raikou, Entei, and Suicune are no longer aquired with the Mystery Part and Secret Slab or in Final Maze, and are now in three new dungeons called Southeastern Islands, Inferno Cave, and Treacherous Waters. These dungeons are unlocked through random challenges in Spinda's Cafe. However, these challenges cannot be taken until the player's team has reached the Master Rank. The same applies for Mewtwo, but it can be fought in Sky Stairway instead.
*Occaisionally bottles containing job requests will wash up along the beach. Upon finding a bottle the player has the option to take or reject the request. Rejected jobs remain on the beach until taken.

Special episodes
During the course of the game, players can engage in various scenarios that expand upon the story of some of the different characters.

*Bidoof's Wish: The first episode features the past of the Bidoof in the Wigglytuff Guild just after he entered the guild. He goes to the Star Cave to have his wish granted by a Jirachi. Unlocked after completing Chapter 3.
*Igglybuff the Prodigy: The second episode features Wigglytuff as an Igglybuff. It explores his past and explains how he became an explorer. Unlocked after completing Chapter 9.
*Today's "Oh My Gosh": The third episode features the Sunflora in the guild. She was given a mission to seek out a Haunter but was apparently unprepared for what she was about to face. Unlocked after completing Chapter 12.
*Here Comes Team Charm!: The fourth episode features Team Charm and their past. Team AWD can also be found here. Unlocked after completing Chapter 15.
*In the Future of Darkness: The fifth episode is set in the dark future. Grovyle and Dusknoir work together when Primal Dialga tries to get rid of them. Unlocked after graduating from the Guild.

Um...Does everyone have a page like this? Wow, I'm nervous... I'm Fae. I love Pokemon Mystery dungeon, 1 and 2, and Pokemon Diamond as well. I also have Ranger and Battle Revolution. I would like to help with the Mystery Dungeon 2 dungeon list. I can easily find out the levels of pokemon in dungeons and perhaps uploading pictures. (No promises on that one.) I am a level 56 Piplup with a level 55 Torchic for a partner. We're team Tytan and no-one can stop us! I have recently gotten interested in pokemon because I recently bought Diamond. I had Mystery Dungeon 1 before that, but it gave me the wrong idea: That all pokemon could talk (and were on rescue teams...) so diamond helped a lot. Yeah...
