The Miss Fortunes (Japanese: ショウチクバイ Shō-Chiku-Bai), also known as the Miss Fortune sisters, are a trio of bandits from the Hisui region. As bandits, they usually steal valuable items or Pokémon. Prior to becoming bandits, they were members of the Galaxy Team, while prior to that, Clover and Coin were members of the Diamond Clan and Pearl Clan, respectively.

Members of this team have the Trainer class Bandit.

In the core series games
Pokémon Legends: Arceus
The Miss Fortune sisters are first encountered at Crimson Mirelands when the player recovers the stolen Wall Fragment from them. Their next encounter with them is at Cobalt Coastlands after the player has befriended the rideable Basculegion, stealing one of Palina's Growlithe and taking it to Firespit Island so they can evolve it. The player follows them and defeats each of the sisters, after which Palina's other Growlithe appears and evolves into Arcanine, forcing the sisters to depart. They're encountered for the third time in Primeval Grotto, wanting to steal the Origin Ore since they think it's valuable, but are driven away.

Outside of scripted encounters, each sister also has one semi-fixed spawn per map area. For example, Coin sometimesfact appears on or near the trail between Deertrack Path and Deertrack Heights in the Obsidian Fieldlands (in any weather or time of day). Each of them drops a stack of valuable items every time the player wins a battle against them during these encounters.
Trivia
* The Japanese name of the group alludes to the Three Friends of Winter, an art motif popular in East Asian culture that features the three plants that persevere during the winter season: pine, bamboo, and plum. In the Japanese, Korean, and Chinese versions, each of the three members are named after the respective plants.
* Each bandit wears a piece of clothing originating from the group that they left:
** Charm wears a Construction Corps uniform.
** Clover wears Diamond Clan boots.
** Coin wears part of a Pearl Clan Outfit underneath her bandit attire.
*** In addition, all members have their Poké Balls in the same charms as the Security Corps'.

<!--Mega Evolution is not an evolution method and must not be classified as such-->
A Mega Stone (Japanese: メガストーン Mega Stone) is a type of item introduced in Generation VI that, if activated with a Key Stone, causes a specific Pokémon to undergo Mega Evolution. Professor Sycamore theorizes that Mega Stones are the results of Evolution stones being irradiated by the power of Xerneas or Yveltal, the Legendary Pokémon of life and destruction, when AZ first used the ultimate weapon. There are 47 known Mega Stones, corresponding to 45 different Pokémon.

From Generation VIII to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Mega Stones (and Mega Evolution) do not appear in the core series, but they do appear in other media.
Mechanics
During battle, a Mega Stone can be activated while its corresponding Pokémon is on the field. The stone must be held by the Pokémon or, in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! (which do not feature held items), be in the possession of the Pokémon's Trainer. The Pokémon's Trainer can use their Key Stone to activate the Mega Stone at the start of a turn, causing the Pokémon to undergo Mega Evolution. Mega Stones are not consumed upon use, but only one Mega Stone use is possible per Trainer per battle. Mega Stones cannot be activated for Pokémon that have transformed into their corresponding Pokémon (either by Transform or Imposter).

As held items, Mega Stones cannot be transfered to or from their corresponding Pokémon in battle; Thief and Covet will not steal them, Knock Off will not remove them or cause extra damage, Trick, Switcheroo, Fling, and Bestow will fail, and Symbiosis will not activate. Embargo, Magic Room, and Klutz also do not prevent the use of Mega Stones.

During a Contest, if a Mega Stone is being held by its corresponding Pokémon, the Pokémon's Coordinator will activate it automatically if the Pokémon performs a Spectacular Talent.
Acquisition
Generation VI
X and Y
Some Mega Stones are given or sold to the player by NPCs. Most others can be found in various locations around Kalos, appearing as sparkles on the ground rather than item balls. These can only be found after Professor Sycamore upgrades the player's Mega Ring in Anistar City, which only happens after the player defeats their rival in Kiloude City. These Mega Stones also only appear from <time datetime="20:00:00"></time> to <time datetime="20:59:59></time>, while the Anistar Sundial is active. Some Mega Stones are exclusive to each game.

The Blazikenite, Latiasite, and Latiosite are only obtainable via trade. However, the former was also an event item. Mega Stones introduced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are unobtainable.

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Some Mega Stones are only obtainable by meeting certain requirements, such as defeating Lisia in a Master Rank Contest Spectacular to receive the Lucarionite from Chaz, or receiving the Garchompite from Aarune after reaching the Super-Secret Base Platinum Rank. However, most Mega Stones appear around Hoenn as sparkles on the ground, much like in X and Y. Many of these only appear after the player defeats or captures Groudon or Kyogre.

The Diancite is unobtainable through normal gameplay; instead, it can be received from an NPC in any Pokémon Center if the player has a Diancie—an event Pokémon—in their party.

Pokémon holding Mega Stones introduced in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire (except the Latiasite and Latiosite) cannot be traded to X and Y.

Generation VII
Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, and Ultra Moon
No Mega Stones are received before the player becomes Champion. The player receives an Alakazite, along with a Key Stone, from Dexio after defeating him at Ancient Poni Path or Poni Plains. The Kanto first partners' Mega Stones can be received by defeating Red or Blue in a challenge at the Battle Tree. Many Mega Stones (including the Alakazite) can be purchased at the Battle Tree for 64BP each. In Sun and Moon, only the Mega Stones for Pokémon in the List of Pokémon by Alola Pokédex number can be purchased. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, all Mega Stones except the Kanto first partners' and the Diancite can be purchased.

In Sun and Moon, the remaining Mega Stones are only obtainable via trade. However, they were all also event items. They were distributed via universal serial codes provided on the official Pokémon website, which were usable in all software regions but expired on <time datetime="2017-10-31 23:59:59"> at </time>. Some were also distributed via unique serial codes to players who participated in certain Online Competitions on the Pokémon Global Link.
Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!
Only the Mega Stones for Pokémon in the Kanto Pokédex are obtainable. The player receives the Kanto first partners' Mega Stones, along with a Key Stone, from Blue at the Oak Pokémon Research Lab after obtaining seven Badges. Mewtwo's Mega Stones can be received from Green after defeating her in Cerulean Cave. The remaining Kanto Pokémon Mega Stones can be purchased from a Poké Maniac at Indigo Plateau for pdollar30,000 each after the player enters the Hall of Fame.
Pokémon Shuffle
Mega Evolution (Shuffle)#Acquiring Mega Stones
Before a Pokémon's Mega Evolution can be used in Pokémon Shuffle, its respective Mega Stone must be obtained (or in Rayquaza's case, the Meteorite). Methods to obtain a Mega Stone include:
* Defeating a Pokémon's Mega-Evolved form in a Trainer battle, usually at the end of each Stage (Shuffle).
* Completing certain objectives on Mission Cards.
* Reaching certain Trainer ranks by catching several different species of Pokémon.
* Achieving a high rank in a Competitive Stage.
* Clearing certain milestone stages in an escalation battle.

Pokémon Rumble World
The player gains the ability to Mega Evolve their Pokémon after completing the challenge "Raid of the Mighty General", then receiving the Special Stone Shop and a Mega Key from the rewards section of the ordinary shop. Mega Stones for currently owned Pokémon can be bought and immediately attached to its corresponding Pokémon using the Special Stone Shop. The first Mega Stone of the player's choice is free (unless either the Red or Blue Orb is chosen instead) and every one after it costs 5 Poké Diamonds. During battle, Mega Evolution can be performed by tapping the Mega Evolution button using a Pokémon equipped with a Mega Stone in battle. Mega Evolution can be used again on any Pokémon in the same battle, unlike in the main games.

Mega-Evolved Pokémon revert after a completed trip, or when they are defeated or switched out. Mega Evolving will send out a shockwave that damages enemy Pokémon. This shockwave is capable of defeating and tipping over opposing Pokémon. Additionally, it also resets any negative status conditions or status changes the Pokémon had before Mega Evolving.

In Pokémon the Series: XY, Pokémon wear Mega Stones using equipment similar to that which their Trainers use to hold their Key Stones. The equipment disappears while the Pokémon is in its Mega Evolved state. In Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, Mega Stones appear to be merged with the body of their holders and only appear whenever the Mega Evolution process is triggered. In Pokémon Journeys: The Series, Mega Stones appear in front of the holder seemingly out of nowhere once the process starts.

Pokémon the Series: XY
Mega Stones were first mentioned in Lumiose City Pursuit!, where Professor Sycamore told Ash that a "special stone" is required to trigger Mega Evolution, referring to Mega Stones.

Mega Stones made their physical debut in Mega Evolution Special I. The Mega Stones seen were Alain's Charizardite X, Astrid's Absolite, Remo's Garchompite, Siebold's Blastoisinite, and a Gyaradosite found by Alain from a set of ancient ruins. In addition, a Lucarionite was seen in a painting featuring the first-ever Mega Evolution, which was shown to Alain by Professor Sycamore in a flashback. Astrid's Absolite made a brief reappearance during the opening credits of Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction.

Diantha's Gardevoir's Gardevoirite debuted in The Bonds of Evolution!. The Embrace Pokémon was shown carrying its Mega Stone in a necklace around its neck.

In The Cave of Trials!, a Lucarionite was found by Korrina in a cave near Geosenge Town. After battling a Blaziken guarding the Lucarionite—which was afterward revealed to belong to Korrina's grandfather, Gurkinn—Korrina obtained the Mega Stone and used it to Mega Evolve her Korrina. The uncut Lucarionite was later set in an armband by McGinty, allowing Lucario to wear the Mega Stone. It retained it during its return in Pokémon Journeys: The Series.

In The Aura Storm!, Gurkinn was revealed to own a Lucarionite. Much like Korrina's Lucario, Gurkinn's Lucario also wears its Lucarionite in an armband on its left wrist.

In The Bonds of Mega Evolution!, a Mawilite was worn by Mabel's Mawile in a piece of jewelry placed at the foot of its head jaws.

In Origins of Mega Evolution!, a Lucarionite was featured in a story told by Gurkinn depicting the first known Mega Evolution.

In Mega Evolution Special II, Steven's Shiny Steven wore a Metagrossite as a large bracelet on its right foreleg. An Ampharosite was also seen in a flashback in the same episode, having been found by Lysandre before Alain could get his hands on it.

In Garchomp's Mega Bond!, Professor Sycamore's Garchomp wears a Garchompite as a choker around her neck.

Several different Mega Stones appeared in Mega Evolution Special IV. The Mega Stones seen included a Venusaurite attached to the tree on a Venusaur's back; an Alakazite tied onto one of Alakazam's spoons; and Malva's Houndoominite, which is attached to a collar her Houndoom wears around its neck.

In A Giga Battle with Mega Results!, a Nurse Joy with an Nurse Joy found an Audinite. She later used it and Professor Sycamore's Key Stone to Mega Evolve Audino.

In A Real Icebreaker!, an Abomasite was worn by Wulfric's Abomasnow. The Frost Tree Pokémon wears its Mega Stone on its chest, revealing it only when it is about to Mega Evolve.

In A League of His Own!, a Charizardite Y was worn by Trevor's Trevor in a ring around its tail.

In Valuable Experience for All!, a Sceptilite was worn by Sawyer's Sawyer on a bandanna that is tied around its neck.

In File 4: Charizard, during Red's battle against Mewtwo, one of the stones was revealed to be a Charizardite X that came from Kalos. ====X & Y====
Due to Mega Evolution being a relatively unknown phenomenon, the Mega Stone concept gradually developed. Trevor was not aware of the Mega Stone that X's Kanga possessed until They Have a Flare for a Li'l Kanga-Napping, when he found it in Kanga's pouch. In What Does Charmander Do When It Dozes, Trevor and X proved that Kanga's Mega Stone had no effect when taken out of Kanga's pouch and placed with X's Chespin. In Overthrowing a Tyrunt, Trevor and X became aware of different Mega Stones and their names when the Team Flare Grunt they were fighting mentioned the Kangaskanite and Manectite explicitly. Trevor and X combined their skills to defeat the grunt in battle and steal a list of Mega Stones that he had supposedly compiled.

* Korrina's Korrina possesses a Lucarionite, allowing him to Mega Evolve into Mega Lucario.
* Gurkinn's Heracross wears his Heracronite around his horn.
* Diantha's Diantha wears its Gardevoirite around its head.
* Lysandre's Gyarados possesses a Gyaradosite, which a Team Flare grunt successfully dispatched to Malva.
* X's Élec possesses a Manectite, which is kept in a patch of fur on his chest. Élec was motivated to seek his Mega Stone after witnessing Kanga and Li'l Kanga Mega Evolve during a battle in the Prism Tower.
* X's Gengar possesses a Gengarite, which is kept in a patch of fur under his jaw.
* Tierno and Shauna found multiple Mega Stones while looking for a Pinsirite and Absolite for X's Pinsir and Y's Absol. After some searching, they successfully found the correct Mega Stones and gave them to X and Y.
* X's Salamè possesses a Charizardite X, which he keeps on the tip of his tail, hidden inside of the tail's flame. Blue's Blue possesses a Charizardite Y, which is also kept hidden inside of the flame on the tip of his tail. Both Charizard combined in their respective Mega Evolutions to defeat Xerosic, who claimed that Team Flare found no proof that a Charizard Mega Evolves, let alone into two different forms.
* Blaine possesses both a Mewtwonite Y and Mewtwonite X, which he can use to Mega Evolve Mewtwo into either of its Mega Evolutions.

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire
The Mega Stones appear or are mentioned in the following chapters:

* In Latias Flies, Eon duo revealed that he and Latias have obtained their respective Mega Stones.
* In Claydol Unleashes, it was revealed that Steven had already found the Mega Stones for Blaziken, Swampert, and Emerald for Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald, respectively.
* In Salamence Evolves, Zinnia used her Salamencite to Mega Evolve her Zinnia during a battle against Ruby. Using Latios's Latiosite, Ruby Mega Evolved the Eon Pokémon into Mega Latios and defeated Mega Salamence.
* In Blastoise Transforms, Red and Green were revealed to have respectively obtained the Venusaurite and Blastoisinite, sometime before following Maxie and Archie, who had obtained the Cameruptite and Sharpedonite, respectively. The two pairs of Trainers used the Mega Stones with their respective Pokémon to battle each other.
* In PS616, Giovanni was revealed to have obtained a Beedrillite, using it to Mega Evolve his Giovanni as part of his explanation that the meteoroid threatening to destroy the world may be housing a Pokémon inside of it. The Meteor Village elder later offered Sapphire a Gardevoirite and Galladite, commenting how matching her Gallade and Ruby's Gardevoir are. Ruby and Sapphire later used these Mega Stones to Mega Evolve Rara and Gallade during a brief battle against each other.
* In Omega Alpha Adventure 21, after destroying the Grand Meteor Delta, Ruby had Hoopa find a Diancite for Diancie to use in the Pokémon Contest Spectacular, allowing Ruby to Mega Evolve Diancie for his and Sapphire's performance.

Pocket Monsters XY: The Legend of the Pokémon Dragon King
In Pocket Monsters XY: The Legend of the Pokémon Dragon King, which is centered around Mega Evolution, several characters have Mega Stones in their possession. Akira owns both a Charizardite X and a Charizardite Y, Koji owns a Garchompite, and Taichi has an Ampharosite.
Trivia
<!--Be careful with reverse trivia on Tyranitarite and Manectite. Pupitar and Manectric are not 100% exclusive to Y; they are available via Friend Safari, making them obtainable in X.-->
* The design of the Mega Stones appears to be based on a common pattern found in the glass Marble (toy) called a toothpaste or catseye marble.
* Certain Mega Stones in X and Y are only found in the game in which the corresponding Pokémon is not normally available:
** The Aggronite and Houndoominite are only found in Y, though Aron, Houndour, and their evolved forms are exclusive to X.
** The Tyranitarite and Manectricite are only found in X, though Larvitar and Electrike are exclusive to Y; however, Pupitar and Manectric can be found in the Friend Safari in both X and Y.
* Despite not being introduced officially until Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Latiosite and Latiasite exist in the code for X and Y and can be transfered to them.
* In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, it is explained that Rayquaza does not require a Mega Stone to Mega Evolve due to its mikado organ working as a Mega Stone once it has consumed enough meteorites.
