A mention of Pokemon Farm (Wii)
The article mentions how a living pokedex is difficult to obtain in Generation 4 without a Pokemon-Box esque game to hold them all. This is true, but I think there should be at least some mention of the upcoming WiiWare title Everyone's Pokémon Farm. It's not completely perfect, since I'm pretty sure that Pokemon are copied into it instead of transferred, but I think that it at least deserves a mention here, since it seems to currently be the only vessel with the capacity (1,000 pokemon) to hold a living pokedex of the Generation 4 games. -DarkBlue 17:01, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Dawn's Pachirisu (Japanese: ヒカリのパチリス Hikari's Pachirisu) was the third Pokémon caught by Dawn in Twice Smitten, Once Shy. Its voice actress in both English and Japanese is 西村ちなみ Chinami Nishimura.

Pachirisu has a very hyperactive personality. It loves to have fun with Dawn and her other Pokémon. It also tends to give Dawn a bad hair day by using Discharge. Dawn felt that she had failed Pachirisu as a trainer because of its behaviour and temporarily released it. A while later she realized that she made a mistake and went back to get it only to find that Jessie already had set her sights on the electric squirrel. However it managed to defeat Team Rocket and Dawn recaptured it.

Pachirisu seems to be a bit of a con artist. For a moment it appeared to want to join Jessie and left with her. However this was only to get the spray bottle from her that had the formula in it that would release Dawn and the others from Team Rocket's sticky trap. This also shows that Pachirisu is a lot smarter than it seems.

* Quick Attack
* Discharge

Trivia
*Dawn's capture of Pachirisu marks the first time a main character has ever caught an Electric Pokémon
*For DP021, Professor Oak's lecture is about Dawn's Pachirisu. He writes this Pokémon senryū about it: パチリスが　おめめさめたよ　パッチリす
*In the dub of Steamboat Willies! it is revealed that Pachirisu is the youngest of Dawn's Pokémon.
*In DP061, Pachirisu, Dawn and Dawn are cheering for Dawn in cheerleader outfits, while Pikachu is wearing a male kimono. This may suggest Pachirisu, Piplup and Buneary are female, while Pikachu is male.
*Umbreon was the first pure Dark-type.

Origin
Name origin
Umbreon's name is derived from umbra, Latin for shadow and ghost. Eon was Eevee's prototype name, the Pokémon in which Umbreon evolves from.

Its Japanese name may simply refer to the color of its coat. Its French name, Noctali, is derived from nocturne, which refers to being active at night.
Special abilities
Zangoose's Immunity ability makes it immune to poison. This is possibly an evolution that was developed over time to deal with the fangs and tail of its nemesis, Seviper.

Behavior
Zangoose are bitter enemies with Seviper, the two will battle each other to the bitter end. It is suggested this rivalry has lasted since the beginning of time.

Zangoose first appeared in Zig Zag Zangoose under the control of Nicolai.

Another Zangoose appeared in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 special as the leader of Team Razor Wind.

In Smells Like Team Spirit, it is discovered that Paul found Chimchar being attacked by a group of Zangoose. Because of the amazing power it used fighting the Zangoose, Paul decided to capture it. Later, Chimchar was to fight another Zangoose and nearly lost to it.

In DP053 another group of Zangoose appeared before Team Rocket and fought with Jessie's Seviper. Later, Chimchar obtained the courage to defeat them.

*Despite its sharp claws, Zangoose is unable to learn Cut.

*The rivalry between Seviper and Zangoose is based on the relationship between the mongoose and the king cobra - the cobra is the largest venomous snake in the world, and the mongoose is one of its few predators.

Pokémon Photo Rating
Rates the pictures on the second floor of Jubilife TV.
Berry Lookout
This program features the Berry Professor going out to a route or city in which Berries can be planted. This can serve as a reminder as to where Berry trees are growing, if there are any. If there are none, of course, he will be disappointed and encourage viewers to plant Berries.
Matchup Channel
The Matchup Channel is a short segment about how effective one type of move is against a specific type of Pokémon.
On-the-spot weather
Helena tells the weather in one of Sinnoh's many locations. This program is also aired on Sinnoh Now.

Trainer Research
Reporters around Sinnoh sometimes ask people like you to allow them to interview you. Here's where those interviews turn up.
The Pokétch Watch
The Pokétch Watch is about the player's favorite Pokétch app. It is activated by talking to the reporter in the headquarters of the Pokétch Company.
Amity Square Watch
A reporter talks of how a Trainer walked with their Pokémon in Amity Square, what Pokémon it was, what the last item the Pokémon picked up was, and what the Trainer and Pokémon's feelings together were. Activated by talking to a reporter in one of the entrances to Amity Square after having taken a walk there.
Street Corner Personality Checkup
A reporter attempts to determine what a Trainer's personality is from their favorite type. Activated by talking to a reporter in a house in Canalave.
Your Pokémon Corner
An interviewer reports what a Trainer thinks of the Pokémon at the front of their party. Activated by talking to the reporter in the Pokémon Fan Club.

Rack 'Em Up Records
Hosted by Serge and Tanya, this show looks at records achieved and broken by Trainers. Serge explains the record broken, and Tanya naively comments on what she understands it to be.
The various record-breaking achievements broadcast here include:
Berry Master
Reported when a player grows the maximum amount of berries on one plant. Tanya thinks that the Trainer is gluttonously eating them.
Trap-busting master
Activated when the Trainer disarms traps in the Underground. Lists the number of Traps disarmed and the last Trap disarmed before the player surfaced. Tanya is very enthusiastic about this.

Slots-winner
Activated by winning coins in Veilstone City's Game Corner. Tanya may mistake slots for slops, and talks about Spoink and Grumpig. Lists the number of coins that the player started out with and the number of coins they ended up with.

Capture the Flag
Reports on how many flags a Trainer stole (Tanya: "Isn't that greedy?") in the Underground session before surfacing. Is activated by playing Capture the Flag with a friend.

Battle Tower
Reports on the latest Battle Tower record. In case of a double battle record, Tanya thinks that the Trainer hasn't got the guts for entering the single battle challenge. Serge, however, thinks the opposite.

A Trainer's Day
Planting and Watering Show
A berry plant a Trainer grew is judged by the Berry Guru based on how many berries the plant bore. He will give advice if the plant did not give over 2 berries.

Pokémon Battle Watch
On Pokémon Battle Watch, the MC does "in-depth analyses of hot-blooded battling Trainers!"
Rate That Name Change
An appraiser rates a Pokémon's new nickname. They list an attribute to the name change (becoming speedier, smelling nicer, etc.) but list detriments (Which is always becoming mired in bogs) too. Activated by changing a nickname using Eterna City's Name Rater.
Special News Report: Finding Hidden Items
Happy-Happy Egg Club
Reports an egg hatching and where it was hatched, as well as the species. Activated by hatching an egg.
Catch That Pokémon Show
Using Pokémon's old motto, a DJ reports how a Trainer "caught our eye with a dandy of a catch", what Pokémon was caught, and how many Poké Balls were used (or, alternately, how the Trainer completely failed at catching the Pokémon).

Battling Trainers
Pokémon Research Corner
Trivia
* The name of the Reporter half of the Interviewers that battle the player on Thursdays is another reference to Something Awful. A "Let's Play" thread of Pokémon Crystal Version, made by RedChocobo, featured a Pokémon Trainer named Kris traveling across Johto and Kanto. Shortly after beginning her game with a Totodile, she abandoned the starter in the PC, claiming it to be evil, and utilized her newly-caught Wooper throughout her entire journey instead, never evolving it, even.
Pidgeot (Japanese: ピジョット Pigeot) is a -type Pokémon. It is the fully evolved form of Pidgey, one of the most common Pokémon in the Generation I and Generation II games.

Pidgeot can come with the Ability Keen Eye, which prevents accuracy reduction, or the Ability Tangled Feet, which increases evasion when Pidgeot is confused. Pidgeot evolves from Pidgeotto starting at level 36.

Biology
Physiology
Pidgeot bares striking resemblance to Pidgeotto; however, Pidgeot is noticeably larger than is pre-evolution. Its plumage tends to be larger and glossier. The feathers on its head-crest are nearly as long as its body, and are yellow and red. Its tail feathers are red colored. Like its previous evolutions, its underbelly is a tan color, and it has black markings around its eyes.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Pidgeot is a powerful flier, capable of creating whirlwinds strong enough to bend trees. It can reach speeds of Mach 2.

Behavior
Pidgeot are normally calm and confident in their abilities. It has many powerful attacks, and beautiful plumage, making it a popular choice for skilled trainers.

Habitat
Pidgeot typically dwell in forests with thick growth and large trees.

Diet
Main article: Pokémon food

Pidgeot seems to primarily subsist on a diet of fish and Water-type Pokémon which it fishes out of the water using its high speed and keen senses. However, like all Pokémon, it is also capable of surviving by eating apples and berries.

In the anime
Ash Ketchum had a Pidgeot that he captured as a Pidgeotto early in the series. After a single battle with an aggressive Fearow, Pidgeot left Ash's party to watch over a local flock of Pidgey and Pidgeotto. Ash promised to return for it someday, but so far he has not kept that promise.

In Mewtwo Strikes Back, a Pidgeot was captured and cloned by Mewtwo. It was referred to as a Pidgeotto due to a dubbing error.

A Pidgeot belonging to Rudy made a cameo appearance in Misty Meets Her Match.

Falkner of the Violet City Gym owns a Pidgeot.

In Hoenn Alone, an Officer Jenny used a Pidgeot to help locate Ash's Pikachu after it was stolen by Team Rocket.

A Pidgeot is used in PokéRinger Contest.

A Pidgeot was owned by Sir Aaron in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. Also, Mew transformed into a Pidgeot in the movie.

One is also used by the coordinator Solidad.

In the manga
In Pokémon Special, Green owns a Pidgeot that was one of the earliest members of his team. It now resides in the Viridian Gym as one of its defenders.

In Pokémon Zensho, Shigeru had a Pidgeot he used to attack Satoshi while he was flying on his Charizard.
Origin
Despite its name, its appearance and behavior do not resemble a pigeon so much as that of a bird of prey, particularly an osprey.
Name origin
Its name may just be a variation of pigeon, but depending on how one pronounces it, the word jet may be incorporated into its name.
