Misty travelled around with [[Ash]], [[Brock]], and [[Tracey]] through the [[Kanto]] region, [[Orange Islands]], and [[Johto]] region. Her purpose was ostensibly to get Ash to replace her bicycle, which he had accidentally destroyed when they first met. However, Misty often seemed to have forgotten about the bicycle, indicating that her real reason was that she simply wanted to remain with her friends. After Ash was done in Johto, though, she returned to Cerulean to watch the Gym while her sisters, [[Cerulean sisters|Daisy, Lily, and Violet]], went on a world tour. Misty used to hate {{p|Gyarados}} because of a traumatic experience as a child, but she later overcame her fears and now uses a Gyarados as one of her primary Pokémon.

Misty's full name is often said by fans to be "Misty Waterflower", based on the title of the episode in which she is revealed as the Cerulean Gym Leader, but she is never actually referred to by that name in the anime.

She is voiced by 飯塚雅弓 ''[[Mayumi Iizuka]]'' in Japanese, and by ''[[Rachael Lillis]]'' in the English dub.

Misty's title is "The Tomboyish Mermaid." Her strategy is an all-out attack with Water-type Pokémon.

Misty is constantly looking for ways to improve her technique. She trains at the [[Seafoam Islands]].

As Misty becomes a stronger trainer, she becomes the only one in [[Cerulean City|her town]] who can defeat the trainers at Cerulean's cape.

It is said that Misty has high hopes for the north cape, a romantic date spot. In later years, she is seen there with an unidentified boyfriend. She dislikes pests who bother her when she's on a date.

Misty worships [[Lorelei]] of the [[Elite Four]].

It's Misty's dream to travel one day. She wishes to meet many strong trainers, such as trainer [[Gold (game)|Gold]]/[[Kris (game)|Kris]] from [[Johto]] who defeats her in battle.

In addition to the Cascadebadge, Misty gives out [[TM 11]], {{m|Bubblebeam}}, in [[Pokémon Red and Blue|Pokémon Red, Blue]], [[Pokémon Green]], and [[Pokémon Yellow]]. In [[Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen]], she gives out [[TM 03]], {{m|Water Pulse}}.

Misty is one of the heroic Gym Leaders in [[Pokémon Special]]. She met [[Red (Special)|Red]] while attempting to rescue her Gyarados from [[Koga]] of [[Team Rocket]].

Red saved Misty's Gyarados, and Misty and Red ended up spending a lot of time together. Red eventually left, although Misty asked him to stay and train some more.

Red wanted to teach his Pokémon {{m|Surf}}, but the TM he tried to acquire was destroyed. So Misty traded him her Gyarados for Red's {{p|Krabby}}. Red still has Misty's Gyarados in his party to this day.

In [[Johto]], during the second Team Rocket crisis, {{p|Suicune}} chose Misty to be its partner.

In Pokémon Special, Misty lives in a large mansion and is looked after by a hoarde of maids.

She seems to have a crush on Red. This is distinct from Misty's believed crush on Ash in the [[Pokémon anime]], and in other manga.

I am an avid Pokemon fan (sort of...), so I know a lot about the games, since I've been playing for... 5 years. I have played Pokemon Silver, Crystal, Ruby, and LeafGreen versions for countless hours, therefore, I have extensive knowledge about them, even though I have forgotten some parts. Nonetheless, I have other friends and family members to count on for additional Pokemon knowledge, so I can answer all basic questions about these versions and related ones (except for cheats, I only know one for Pokemon Silver, about duplicating Pokemon).

I think I sounded cocky about the first paragraph, so I'd like you to know that I am sometimes like that. Not often, but sometimes.

Now, on to personal information... I am a girl (wow, how many Pokemon fans are female...) I live in a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, around the east end of the city. I have a successful academic record, and I attend secondary school at this time. I am an introvert and secretive, so I won't say anything else about myself.

And, as I have with my other pages, I will declare that... I will try to update this page as often as I can, whenever I have any new ideas.

Union Room

The '''Union Room''' allows players the interact directly with other players. The other trainers appearing in the Union Room are nearby players who have also entered the room. The Union Room requires the Wireless Adapter be attached to enter.

Inside the Union Room, trainers may:
* Chat in a group of two to five trainers.
* View the Trainer Card of another trainer.
* Enter two Pokémon up to level 30 for one-on-one battle.
* Register a Pokémon for trade, or trade for a registered Pokémon.

A trainer must have at least two Pokémon to enter the Union Room. Pokémon holding an e-Card Berry may not enter the room.

Despite the high potential of the Union Room and the variety of activities there, they are often empty, except if a certain time is scheduled by a group of friends or relatives. This is because once in a Union Room, only specific Union Room actions can be carried out.
