:Technically, the Emerald chapter has finished in the serializations, but not in the volumes. Volumes don't come out the instant all of the chapters in them have been serialized. It may take quite awhile for successive volumes to come out, such as how it's been at least five months since {{PSV|28}} emerged and no sign of {{PSV|29}} on the horizon.

:I don't quite understand this double standard concerning the Emerald and Diamond/Pearl chapters, however. :I agree. Viz is republishing the manga, and despite introducing a new logo and restoring the original Japanese right-to-left format, it's still called Pokémon Adventures. Aura also plays a minor role in the GameCube RPGs. The process that creates [[Shadow Pokémon]] surrounds them with a darker aura that, while still invisible to most people, can be seen by [[Rui]] of [[Pokémon Colosseum]]. By the time of [[Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness]], the [[Aura Reader]] had been developed to automatically identify this aura for those that can't normally see it.

Various [[Pokémon]] can use aura. {{m|Aura Sphere}} and {{m|Focus Blast}} are moves that use aura, along with moves like {{m|Dragon Pulse}} and {{m|Dark Pulse}}. In Pokémon, aura manifests as a blue to purple type of energy. The move {{m|Detect}} is sometimes implied to be based around using aura to sense the movement of others as well.

The beginning of [[Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2]] mentions aura. After answering the quiz, the player's aura is read, and described as being a particular colour, which relates to the player's nature and what Pokémon they become.

==Inspiration==
It is likely that some inspiration for aura came from {{wp|Force (Star Wars)|the Force}} of {{wp|Star Wars}}. In particular, the phrase "the aura is with me" is a clear reference to "may the Force be with you", while the Aura Guardians seem to be a parallel to the Jedi Knights. Ash's status as the lone person who can control aura is similar to that of {{wp|Luke Skywalker}} during the original trilogy. It could also have its roots in the Chinese concept of {{wp|qi}}, as both describe a life-force existing in all things.
