The '''Johto League''' (Japanese: '''ジョウトリーグ''' ''Johto League'') is the regional [[Pokémon League]] of the [[Johto]] region. It consists of a network of eight [[Gym]]s and the [[Elite Four]]. Less commonly, it is known as the '''Silver League''', usually when referring to the {{pkmn|animated series}}.

[[Pokémon Trainer]]s who earn eight [[Badge]]s from sanctioned Johto League Gyms qualify to fight in Johto League competitions.

With a history spanning 200 years, and being economically powerful and extremely wealthy, the family's property comprises a thriving family business, several Grand Hotels all over the region and a massive mansion in [[Sandgem Town]], among other things. Several members of the family are renowned academics specializing in Pokémon research. The family and its members have also partaken in and funded some research projects. The most notable of these was the Rayquaza Capture Project (Japanese: '''レックウザ捕獲プロジェクト'''), which studied ways of controlling {{p|Rayquaza}} and was conducted with the [[Pokémon Association]] with technology provided by the [[Devon Corporation]] and the [[Greater Mauville Holdings]].

According to legends, Zacian is believed to be the elder sister or rival of {{p|Zamazenta}}. It is also known as ''Fairy King's Sword'' by friends and foes due to it cutting down anything in one strike. It can turn itself into a statue in order to slumber until need and is capable of flying. When together with {{p|Zamazenta}} it can negate the power of {{p|Eternatus}}, even in its Eternamax State. By absorbing the metals particles in the land, it can change its form. It can also cast illusions including a projection of itself even when asleep. Zacian can attack so gracefully the movements can captivate its opponents, which has been compare to a graceful dance. The sword it holds in its mouth can cut through anything with sharp edge capable of harming even the thick scales of {{type|Dragon}} Pokémon as if they were just paper. When Zacian slash its opponents it moves faster than the blinking eye, thus those struck down by its sword will not feel the pain until they fall down. ==Plot==

The story begins in the Berlitz House where {{adv|Platinum}}'s butler, Sebastian, brings her outfit for the day to her room commenting that it's casual, but highly fashionable. After Platinum remarks that the weather's perfect for a special day like today, she goes over to her jewelry box and puts a pearl ring on her right hand, perfect, and a diamond ring on her left, flawless.

At the same time in [[Jubilife City]], the Next Generation Comedy Grand Prix is taking place. The first entrants are {{adv|Diamond}} and {{adv|Pearl}} from [[Twinleaf Town]]. Pearl imagines how their act will go in his head and that they'll win with their "Three Gyarados" act, But when he orders [[Chatler]] to use {{m|Fury Attack}} to blow away the "grass", he discovers Diamond's {{p|Munchlax}}, {{adv|Lax}}, eating rice balls onstage in his {{p|Magikarp}} costume. Speechless, Pearl watches Diamond come onstage in another Magikarp costume, looking for Lax. Once he spots Lax, Diamond decides to join in on the snack break. Pearl finally regains his voice and yells at Diamond to remind him that they're in the middle of a performance, but Diamond cracks a joke, to Pearl's shock and the audience's discomfort. In total panic, Pearl dashes for the stage exit, yelping for an intermission while dragging Diamond by his collar, Lax following the plate of rice balls Diamond holds. Outside, Pearl demands for Diamond to explain what happened. After describing what happened to Pearl, Diamond points out that they made the audience laugh but that drives Pearl insane and he yells that the audience was laughing at his failure. After Pearl reminds why they started to do this they start practicing and the scene returns to Platinum.

Done dressing for travel, Platinum adjusts her scarf while Sebastian looks on and starts crying because he won't see her for a long while. After Sebastian reminds her in anxiety that there are dangers out there, she in turn reminds him that two bodyguards were hired to protect her, even though she thinks she doesn't need them. The worried butler insists that she will need them and that they will guard her all the way to the peak of [[Mt. Coronet]]. He confirms that they'll be waiting in front of Jubilife Building and they'll be wearing red and green mufflers, Then Platinum departs. On her way to Jubilife Building, Platinum sighs in relief to be away from the mother-henning of Sebastian and opens the case she was carrying alongside her bag. In it are three [[Pokétch]]es, three [[Poké Ball]]s with the three Sinnoh [[starter Pokémon]] in them and three [[Pokédex]]es. She takes the Poké Ball in the middle and calls out {{TP|Platinum|Piplup|Empoleon}}.

The scene turns to Diamond and Pearl. While they are practicing their double-act Danny the producer from the competition finds them and tells them that they've won the special merit prize. He presents them travel tickets and tells them top go on the stage. As they both rush to the stage with their Pokémon, they bump into [[Professor Rowan]] and Platinum's father. Professor Rowan gets very angry and yells at them. The boys apologize and leave. Then the Professor and Platinum's father start talking about the event that's going on and it's good for Platinum to travel low key. They start talking about the noble Berlitz family's tradition. The clan is not only known to be wealthy and powerful, but it also raises scholars. As per tradition, heirs of the Berlitz family must journey to the peak of Mt. Coronet to gather materials in order to create a personalized accessory with the family crest for themselves. Professor Rowan thinks it's early for her to be doing this and even though her father agrees he tells him that she insisted on going and how hard it is to dissuade her once she sets her mind on something. Professor Rowan is also thankful because she has offered to record down the Pokémon she meets along her journey on the Pokédex. Then he reveals that he gave Platinum the items which she carries in the case. Then the two meet up with the bodyguards and give them their mission written in an envelope. After receiving the letter, the two bodyguards disappear in a flash.

The scene returns to Diamond and Pearl who are announced as the special prize winners. They open the prize, thinking it's just travel tickets. When they open it they find out that their goal of journey is Mt. Coronet and the reward is better than the grand prix prize and they think that this is the proof of their talents being recognized. In the background the producer is surprised to see them that excited about the prize, which is actually a free bicycle ride around the track in Sandgem Park.

Platinum is seen waiting in front of the Jubilife Building for her bodyguards. She tells Piplup that she's taking her and that the other two Pokémon are for her companion. She let's them out to welcome the two companions. [[Tru|Turtwig]] and [[Chimler|Chimchar]] come out. Platinum tells them to give the Pokédexes to her two companions who will be arriving shortly. Then she spots Diamond and Pearl who are wearing red and green mufflers respectively. She directly assumes that they are the ones. At the same time Diamond is questioning the prize which says they have a mission, but Pearl disagrees and tells him it's a hidden camera show and that they are trying to surprise them. While they're talking Turtwig and Chimchar jump on them. Then Diamond spots Platinum and [[CommonerShipping|thinks she's pretty and elegant as if she's a princess]]. At the same time Pearl is fighting for his life against Chimchar.

Suddenly a pack of {{p|Starly}} attack them. Platinum tells them to get rid of them. Turtwig, Chimchar, Munchlax and Chatot fight against the Starly and beat them. After that Pearl assumes that Platinum is their tour guide. Dumbfounded by their quick victory against the Starly, Platinum thinks her father and Professor Rowan chose those two because they are good and they are almost the same age as her so they wouldn't stand out. Then she asks them their names. After learning their names she turns away which makes Pearl angry and he asks her for her name and she simply tells him that her butler warned her to not give her name out to commoners, which drives Pearl insane. Then they start their journey to the peak of Mt. Coronet. At the same time the original bodyguards are on a seesaw at Sandgem Park.

Ultima is known as the "guardian of ultimate attacks," and has been known to require {{pkmn|Trainer}}s to go through trials known as the [[Pokémon Jump|Path of Skipping]], [[Dodrio Berry Picking|Path of Catching]], and Path of Battling in order for their Pokémon to learn these techniques. Through these trials, {{adv|Red}}'s [[Saur]] was able to learn {{m|Frenzy Plant}} and [[Blue's Charizard]] was able to learn {{m|Blast Burn}}. Ultima later taught {{adv|Green}}'s [[Blasty]] {{m|Hydro Cannon}} without having to go through the trials.

During the battle at [[Trainer Tower]], Ultima stole a huge amount of items from [[Team Rocket]], including an [[Old Sea Map]] that would have been used to locate [[Faraway Island]], the home of {{p|Mew}}. She contacted [[Mr. Briney]], an old friend of hers, but by sheer coincidence Briney informed her that he had found Faraway Island shortly before she called him, and that Mew was headed towards the [[Kanto]] region.

After the {{chap|FireRed & LeafGreen}}, in which the five [[Pokédex holder]]s were turned to stone, Ultima handed {{adv|Professor Oak}} some data that she had taken from Team Rocket which held information on {{p|Jirachi}}, thereby beginning the plan to save the petrified Trainers in the {{chap|Emerald}}. She took both {{adv|Crystal}} and {{adv|Gold}} under her tutelage to help teach [[Exbo]] to learn how to use Blast Burn after two months of training, and [[Megaree]] to learn how to use Frenzy Plant. She also handed {{adv|Gold}} a Faraway Island soil sample Briney had given her, who in turn gave it to {{adv|Emerald}} so he could stop [[Guile Hideout]]'s mind-controlled rental Pokémon army.

Red is eleven years old at the beginning of the {{chap|Red, Green & Blue}}. He is first seen in ''[[PS001|A Glimpse of the Glow]]'', when he shows a group of children the proper way to catch a Pokémon. He demonstrates by using his Poliwhirl to {{pkmn|battle}} a {{pkmn2|wild}} {{DL|Red (Adventures)|Nidorino}}. Red is very sentimental, as shown in the battle versus {{adv|Blue}} in the ninth annual [[Pokémon League]] tournament. He believes that defeating an opponent is no fun if they are at a disadvantage, as seen in both ''[[PS003|The Secret of Kangaskhan]]'' and ''[[PS023|Make Way for Magmar!]]''. At the beginning of the series, he is quite cocky, as shown in ''[[PS008|Suddenly Starmie]]''. However, this cockiness has subsided by the end of the RGB saga.

Red's special skill, as described by {{adv|Professor Oak}}, is Pokémon battling. As such, he is called the '''"[[Pokémon battle|Fighter]]"''' (戦う者 ''Fighter'').

In later adventures, Red has been viewed as a leader amongst the [[Pokédex holder]]s, second only to {{adv|Professor Oak}}.

In this saga, Red is the main protagonist, and his main rival is {{adv|Blue}}. Red was first seen showing off his catching abilities to a group of little kids, but once they mentioned {{adv|Professor Oak}} and {{adv|Blue|his grandson}}, they left. He then sees a few [[Team Rocket]] Grunts and overhears them talking about {{p|Mew}}. He manages to find it, only to see that Blue, who he didn't know yet, was already battling it with a {{TP|Blue|Charmander|Charizard}}. Seeing Blue quickly recalling his Pokémon angers Red to a point where he sends out his own [[Poli]]whirl on it and is easily defeated. He then receives some words of wisdom from Blue and decides to suck up his pride and go to see {{adv|Professor Oak}}.

Red enters the seemingly empty lab and notices a {{p|Bulbasaur}}, only to be found by Professor Oak and mistaken for a thief. All of the Professor's [[Poké Ball]]s are then set loose, and Red volunteers to get all of them back. He does so, except for one last Pokémon - the same {{p|Bulbasaur}} from earlier, which he eventually finds in the [[Viridian Gym]]. He manages to calm Bulbasaur down only to be attacked by a wild {{p|Machoke}}. Red then figures out how to use {{m|SolarBeam}} on his own, impressing Oak to the point of giving him a [[Pokédex]] and [[Saur|Bulbasaur]] to keep. He is then sent along by Professor Oak to capture as many Pokémon as he can, and encounters Blue again in [[Viridian Forest]]. The two boys fight over a {{p|Kangaskhan}}, and Red finally learns Blue's name and status as Oak's grandson, beginning a [[rival]]ry with him.

Red later manages to catch a menacing [[Pika]]chu that was destroying industry in [[Pewter City]]. He then runs into {{adv|Blue}} again, learns of the {{Badge|Boulder}} and decides to challenge [[Brock]] and earn Gym Badges. After blowing through the preliminaries with [[Saur]] and [[Poli]] Red realizes that he needs his newly caught Pikachu to beat [[Brock's Onix]]. After a rocky first part of the match, Red earns Pikachu's trust and he defeats Brock. He later encounters [[Misty]] and [[Gyara|her Gyarados]] which had been stolen and went into an intense rage, horribly injuring Misty and her {{p|Staryu}} in the process. After re-capturing the {{p|Gyarados}} for Misty, Red learns about [[Team Rocket]] through Misty and Oak, and sets off to [[Mt. Moon]] after them with Misty. They win a battle against Team Rocket even after the admin [[Koga]] uses an injection to make his {{p|Rhyhorn}} evolve into a {{p|Rhydon}}. While staying in [[Misty]]'s mansion, Misty defeats Red to make him see that they need to be stronger if they want to defeat Team Rocket. After several days of training, he defeats her and wins the {{Badge|Cascade}}.

After stowing away and getting kicked off the [[S.S. Anne]], Red meets the [[Pokémon Fan Club Chairman]], learning from him that his {{p|Abra}}, along with other Pokémon, are being stolen. This leads him back to the S.S. Anne, where he runs into the owner, [[Lt. Surge]]. Lt. Surge, another one of [[Team Rocket]]'s admins, throws Red and [[Poli]] overboard, only to trigger Poli's evolution into a {{p|Poliwrath}}, saving Red from drowning.

Later, Red enters a bike racing contest and uses his Pokémon to give him a good lead, until he and several of the racers are stopped dead by a {{p|Snorlax}}. By using his Bulbasaur covered in honey he catches the Snorlax and wins the race, however all of his prize money is spent to feed it. He then journeys into the Pokémon Tower in [[Lavender Town]] to rescue {{adv|Blue}} who has mysteriously disappeared. He finds Blue possessed by a {{p|Gastly}} owned by [[Koga]]. Red then watches Blue defeat and slice Koga's {{p|Arbok}} in half, and gains some respect towards Blue.

Later, Red is scammed out of his money for fake items by a mischievous girl called {{adv|Green}}. He chases her down and gets his money back, only to realize that his first two Badges, the {{Badge|Boulder}} and the {{Badge|Cascade}}, are gone. He then deduces that the stolen {{p|Squirtle}} mentioned by Professor Oak must have been taken by Green and evolved into {{p|Wartortle}}. Upon hearing some [[Team Rocket]] grunts mentioning her, Red infiltrates [[Team Rocket]] to see what they know about Green, and finds her surrounded by a group of Team Rocket members looking for a mysterious chip she stole, containing information about {{p|Mew}}. Even after everything {{adv|Green}} did to him, Red saves her from Team Rocket. After that, the two of them go after Mew only to find that Team Rocket made it to it again, and Red has to stall them in order for Mew to get away. After this altercation, Green leaves, but not before leaving Red's Badges entrusted in his pocket.

Red then accidentally gets his Pokémon swapped with {{adv|Blue}} near [[Celadon City]]. When he tries to battle with them they refuse to obey him, but later he decides to play with them while Blue trains Red's Pokémon with more exotic and useful moves. Blue's Pokémon become more kind to Red and more lighthearted overall, something that greatly annoys Blue when he gets his Pokémon back.

Red then goes to [[Erika]] and challenges her, but she first requires that he proves himself by catching an {{p|Eevee}}. Eventually, with {{adv|Bill}}'s help, Red finds and catches [[Vee|a strange Eevee]] with the ability to swap between any of its evolved forms, due to a special device implemented in its ear. He then goes to find Erika and asks why Eevee is like this, and challenges her to a Gym battle. Erika easily defeats Red, and says that she will kill Eevee due to its deformity. Once Red uses [[Pika]] to protect Eevee, Erika reveals that it was simply a test and the real people that made Eevee like this were [[Team Rocket]].

Red next visits the {{safari|Kanto}} in [[Fuchsia City]], and although he isn't supposed to do anything except watch, he smuggles in a [[Poké Ball]] and catches a {{p|Nidoqueen}}, angering two {{p|Nidoking}} that were fighting over her. He manages to escape them but is then taken by a {{p|Victreebel}} to be eaten for an evolution ritual for the {{p|Bellsprout}} and {{p|Weepinbell}}. He gets away from them only to run into the Nidoking again, resulting in a fight between Nidoking and the Victreebel. Red uses this to catch both Pokémon, and catches many others before he is finally found by the Safari Zone Warden.

He then unknowingly helps Rocket boss {{adv|Giovanni}}, whom he believes is just a researcher, get some [[Fossil]]s and get to [[Pewter City]] through [[Diglett's Cave]], only to see that Pewter Museum of Science is set ablaze by two {{p|Magmar}}. He battles the Magmar with Giovanni studying his moves. Giovanni eventually deduces Red is not a threat to Team Rocket since he lacks in cruelty, unfairness, and brutality. Red is then sent on his way, but not before Giovanni gives him an [[Old Amber]].

Wanting to reach the [[Seafoam Islands]], Red then goes to the bottom of a lake to retrieve the [[HM]] for {{m|Surf}}. He is instead confronted by a {{p|Dragonite}} and decides to use all of his other Pokémon to distract it, only to have their combined weight crush the HM and trap Red's leg under a rock. He is eventually rescued by [[Misty]], who appears and drives the Dragonite off with her {{TP|Misty|Starmie}} and [[Gyara]]dos. Misty then trades Red's {{p|Krabby}} for her Gyarados, who knows {{m|Surf}}. On Seafoam Islands, Red encounters Team Rocket again, who are searching for {{p|Articuno}}.

He then reaches [[Cinnabar Island]], spotting Team Rocket once more and secretly watching them battle [[Blaine]]'s Pokémon from the edge of a cliff. A member spots him and threatens to throw him off the cliff if he doesn't surrender. Blaine appears but with his Gyarados, and the two of them easily overpower the grunts until they reveal their secret weapon, a {{p|Moltres}}. The grunts disperse and Moltres gives chase to the two of them on Blaine's {{p|Rapidash}}. When nothing that they do works, Blaine spots Red's [[Old Amber]] and has him revive it as fast as he can. He gets it revived into an {{p|Aerodactyl}} and with that, he is able to drive Moltres away.

Later, when Red, {{adv|Blue}}, and {{adv|Green}} all fail to get into [[Saffron City]], Red goes to [[Pallet Town]] to ask for {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s advice, only to realize that there is nobody there except for [[Sabrina]] and her {{TP|Sabrina|Kadabra}}, masquerading as Oak. Sabrina, Team Rocket's third admin, then appears to him and pins him to the floor with her psychic powers, challenging him to go back to Saffron City. {{adv|Blue}} then arrives and tells him that Saffron must be [[Team Rocket]]'s headquarters, and they find out that [[Vee]] is missing. Saffron City is protected from invasion by a large {{t|psychic}} barrier, so with some urging from {{adv|Green}}, Red and Blue team up. With [[Pika]]'s {{m|Substitute}} and Blue's {{p|Golduck}}'s {{m|Confusion}}, the two of them locate the source of the {{m|barrier}}, Sabrina's {{p|Mr. Mime}}, and defeat it, allowing access to Saffron City.

After a trap door splits him up from Blue while inside [[Silph Co.]], Red runs into [[Lt. Surge]], who has been equipped with many gadgets involving electricity and {{type|Electric}} Pokémon, powered by {{p|Zapdos}}. Red sends out [[Saur]] in defense and uses {{m|Razor Leaf}} to cut the electrical cords, causing Lt. Surge to get electrocuted. Red swipes the {{Badge|Thunder}} from him as well as a pair of gloves, and finds [[Koga]] standing victorious over {{adv|Blue}}. Red tries to stop Koga from killing Blue, but is restrained by Koga's {{p|Grimer}}. After a hard battle with the legendary {{p|Articuno}}, the same one that Red had saved earlier, the two boys defeat Koga. Red takes the {{Badge|Soul}} from him, and the two split up once again.

He runs into the Badge Energy Amplifier room, where he meets {{adv|Green}}, who hands him the {{Badge|Marsh}} in exchange for his {{evostone|Moon Stone}}. Red fits his seven Badges into the Amplifier and points it at his [[Pika]]chu, when Sabrina appears, and though he points it at Pikachu, the Amplifier does not work. Green then reveals that the two Badges that she returned to him earlier were fake, and escapes with the Amplifier, leaving Red to fight Sabrina. Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno are merged together when Green inserts the real Badges in, creating [[Thu-Fi-Zer|a new Pokémon]]. Combining their attacks, Red, Blue, and Green eventually defeat it.

Red then journeys back to [[Cerulean City]] to capture the "monster Pokémon", which turns out to be {{adv|Mewtwo}}. After attempting to catch it, Red and his Pokémon are almost sucked into Mewtwo's {{m|Psywave}}. They are saved by [[Blaine]], and Red uses his whole team to fool Mewtwo and catch it with a [[Master Ball]] for Blaine.

Later, Red encounters {{adv|Yellow}} being attacked by a {{p|Dratini}} in [[Viridian Forest]]. He helps her catch a {{p|Rattata}} and explains how battling and catching Pokémon works. He takes her back to Viridian City and finds that Team Rocket has been releasing abused Pokémon into the Forest to make them stronger. He also learns that the Gym Leader there has been absent for a very long time. Entering the Gym, Red finally meets {{adv|Giovanni}} again, who reveals his true intentions behind the incident at Diglett's Cave. Giovanni then challenges Red with a catch: if Red loses he has to join Team Rocket. After a very intense and long battle, Red defeats Giovanni. He is offered to become the new [[Gym Leader]] of Viridian, but he first wishes to become a better Trainer and goes off to [[Indigo Plateau]].

With the Badges he gained, Red is able to enter the Pokémon League, where he faces {{adv|Blue}} in the final match. Just as Oak notes how Blue has become more instinctual like Red, Red in turn has become more calm and is able to use knowledge as well as instinct. He defeats Blue and his {{TP|Blue|Charizard}} with [[Saur]] and emerges as the {{pkmn|Champion}} of the 9th Pokémon League competition. This makes him interesting to the [[Elite Four]], who are watching the battle from the side.

==={{chap|Yellow}}===
At the beginning of the second chapter, two years after the end of the previous chapter, Red receives an invitation to battle [[Bruno]] of the [[Elite Four]] at [[Mt. Moon]]. During the battle, Bruno stops to let several Diglett and Dugtrio pass and then Agatha uses her mind controlling powers over him to render him incapable of further battle. Red is then confronted by [[Lorelei]] and [[Agatha]], who want him to join them in their quest to wipe out humanity for the sake of Pokémon. They also want information about Giovanni so they can find the {{Badge|Earth}} to power the Badge Energy Amplifier that Agatha retrieved at the [[Silph Co.]] rubble. When he tells the truth, [[Lorelei]] freezes him in a block of ice, making everybody think that he has disappeared since nobody else had seen him for over a month. Only [[Pika]] escapes and makes it to {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s [[Professor Oak's Laboratory|laboratory]], where he teams up with {{adv|Yellow}}.

Red's frozen ice sculpture is found by [[Brock]] in [[Mt. Moon]], but Red is nowhere to be found. Even [[Bruno]], looking for Red so they could finish the battle that they started, can't trace him. As revealed at the end of the chapter, {{adv|Giovanni}} eventually rescued Red, enabling him to seek out his friends and help them fight the [[Elite Four]] on [[Cerise Island]]. Red arrives just in time to save {{adv|Bill}} and [[Lt. Surge]], finally finishing his battle with [[Bruno]].

Red is offered the newly open position of [[Viridian City]] [[Gym Leader]], and even though he passes the test easily, he has to turn it down due to injuries he suffered from being frozen. He is also asked to help {{adv|Yellow}} deal with finding {{p|Lugia}} in [[Johto]], but also turns it down for the same reason. He learns from {{adv|Blue}} where to heal his wounds and leaves to recuperate at the springs in [[Mt. Silver]] with [[Blue's Charizard]] and [[Blasty|Green's Blastoise]], where he meets [[Sabrina]], also there to heal the same injuries. Sabrina informs him of the Gym Leaders meeting in the Pokémon League, and he later arrives at the scene in time to save {{adv|Blue}}, [[Brock]], and [[Erika]] from a [[Magnet Train|train]] crash.

Red and Blue then travel underground with Blue's new {{p|Rhydon}} towards [[Ilex Forest]], where the villainous [[Masked Man]] headed. Along the way, they meet [[Bruno]] and [[Koga]], two former enemies, who help them on their way and tell them about {{p|Celebi}}.

When they arrive at [[Ilex Forest]], Red, Blue, and the other main characters then team up with several [[legendary Pokémon]] to help fight the [[Masked Man]]. During the battle Red finally learns that {{adv|Yellow}} is a girl. At the end of the story, {{adv|Gold}} becomes impressed with Red and goes to train under him at Mt. Silver.

From this chapter onwards, Red wears the new FireRed jacket and hat along with the same shoes and jeans from previously.

Red and Blue meet at {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s lab, where they find messages mysteriously asking them to leave their Pokédexes and head to [[Vermilion City]]. Once there, the two board the [[Seagallop Ferries|Seagallop Ferry]] to the [[Sevii Islands]], where they also find {{adv|Green}} being attacked by {{p|Deoxys}}. They are soon confronted by the new [[Team Rocket]] Admins, the [[The Three Beasts|Beast Warrior Trio]], as well as {{p|Deoxys}}, who is under control of Giovanni. As it turns out, {{adv|Professor Oak}} has been kidnapped by Team Rocket again.

Red undergoes special training under [[Kimberly]] on [[Boon Island]], where his [[Saur|Venusaur]] learns the legendary {{type|Grass}} move {{m|Frenzy Plant}}. However, he is still defeated by Deoxys, who he shares a strange connection with. Red loses his confidence, but eventually regains the will to fight in order to understand the meaning of his connection to Deoxys.

{{adv|Mewtwo}} shows up and offers to battle under Red's command to get revenge on Deoxys. The two arrive at the Team Rocket helicopter hovering above [[Viridian City]], where Giovanni is searching for his long-lost son. After a very long and fierce battle, Mewtwo manages to defeat Deoxys. However, victory is short as [[Carr]], one of the Beast Warrior Trio, rebels against Team Rocket and, after placing his {{p|Forretress}} all over the helicopter and ordering them to use {{m|Explosion}}, takes over the helicopter. While Deoxys transports everyone else aboard to safety, Red stays behind to defeat the Forretress and stop the aircraft from blowing up over [[Vermilion City]]. In the process, he discovers that Deoxys absorbed a sample of his blood when it broke free from Team Rocket's lab.

At the end of the chapter, Red is turned to stone along with the other main characters by [[Sird]]'s beam intended for Deoxys.

==={{chap|Emerald}}===
Red, along with Blue, Green, Silver, and Yellow, were transported as statues in boxes on the [[S.S. Tidal]] by the other main characters to the {{Gdis|Battle Frontier|III}} for their salvation. For most of this chapter, Red, along with four other Pokédex holders, remained frozen in stone. It was only towards the end of the chapter that he and the others were liberated by {{adv|Emerald}} with the help of the wish-granting [[legendary Pokémon]] {{p|Jirachi}}. Free again, Red and the others helped fight [[Guile Hideout]]. In the aftermath of the battle, Red and the other Pokédex holders participated in the Battle Dome tournament, which ultimately concluded in Emerald claiming the Tactics Symbol.

She gives free grooming to one of the player's Pokémon in the [[Generation II]] games once per day between 3 and 4 PM, and in FireRed and LeafGreen after the player defeats the [[Elite Four]].

Also in FireRed and LeafGreen, Daisy will tell a player how [[happiness|happy]] their Pokémon are. She's well-known for being adored by all kinds of Pokémon. It is said that when she's around, even the most ferocious Pokémon calm down. Daisy enjoys tea every day, and buys hers from the [[Celadon Department Store]]. Red is eleven years old at the beginning of the {{chap|Red, Green & Blue}}. He is first seen in ''[[PS001|A Glimpse of the Glow]]'', when he shows a group of children the proper way to catch a Pokémon. He demonstrates by using his Poliwhirl to {{pkmn|battle}} a {{pkmn2|wild}} {{p|Nidorino}}. Red is very sentimental, as shown in the battle versus {{adv|Blue}} in the ninth annual [[Pokémon League]] tournament. He believes that defeating an opponent is no fun if they are at a disadvantage, as seen in both ''[[PS003|The Secret of Kangaskhan]]'' and ''[[PS023|Make Way for Magmar!]]''. At the beginning of the series, he is quite cocky, as shown in ''[[PS008|Suddenly Starmie]]''. However, this cockiness has subsided by the end of the RGB saga.

Red's special skill, as described by {{adv|Professor Oak}}, is Pokémon battling. As such, he is called the '''"[[Pokémon battle|Fighter]]"''' (戦う者 ''Fighter'').

In this saga, Red is the main protagonist, and his main rival is {{adv|Blue}}. Red was first seen showing off his catching abilities to a group of little kids, but once they mentioned {{adv|Professor Oak}} and {{adv|Blue|his grandson}}, they left. He then sees a few [[Team Rocket]] Grunts and overhears them talking about {{p|Mew}}. He manages to find it, only to see that Blue, who he didn't know yet, was already battling it with a {{TP|Blue|Charmander|Charizard}}. Seeing Blue quickly recalling his Pokémon angers Red to a point where he sends out his own [[Poli]]whirl on it and is easily defeated. He then receives some words of wisdom from Blue and decides to suck up his pride and go to see {{adv|Professor Oak}}.

Red enters the seemingly empty lab and notices a {{p|Bulbasaur}}, only to be found by Professor Oak and mistaken for a thief. All of the Professor's [[Poké Ball]]s are then set loose, and Red volunteers to get all of them back. He does so, except for one last Pokémon - the same {{p|Bulbasaur}} from earlier, which he eventually finds in the [[Viridian Gym]]. He manages to calm Bulbasaur down only to be attacked by a wild {{p|Machoke}}. Red then figures out how to use {{m|SolarBeam}} on his own, impressing Oak to the point of giving him a [[Pokédex]] and [[Saur|Bulbasaur]] to keep. He is then sent along by Professor Oak to capture as many Pokémon as he can, and encounters Blue again in the [[Viridian Forest]]. The two boys fight over a {{p|Kangaskhan}}, and Red finally learns Blue's name and status as Oak's grandson, beginning a [[rival]]ry with him.

Red later manages to catch a menacing [[Pika]]chu that was destroying industry in [[Pewter City]]. He then runs into {{Adv|Blue}} again, learns of the {{badge|Boulder}} and decides to challenge [[Brock]] and earn Gym Badges. After blowing through the preliminaries with [[Saur]] and [[Poli]] Red realizes that he needs his newly caught Pikachu to beat [[Brock's Onix]]. After a rocky first part of the match, Red earns Pikachu's trust and he defeats Brock. He later encounters [[Misty]] and [[Gyara|her Gyarados]] which had been stolen and went into an intense rage, horribly injuring Misty and her {{p|Staryu}} in the process. After re-capturing the {{p|Gyarados}} for Misty, Red learns about [[Team Rocket]] through Misty and Oak, and sets off to [[Mt. Moon]] after them with Misty. They win a battle against Team Rocket even after the admin [[Koga]] uses an injection to make his {{p|Rhyhorn}} evolve into a {{p|Rhydon}}. While staying in [[Misty]]'s mansion, Misty whoops Red to make him see that they need to be stronger if they want to defeat Team Rocket. After several days of training, he defeats her and wins the {{badge|Cascade}}.

After stowing away and getting kicked off the [[S.S. Anne]], Red meets the [[Pokémon Fan Club Chairman]], learning from him that his {{p|Abra}}, along with other Pokémon, are being stolen. This leads him back to the S.S. Anne, where he runs into the owner, [[Lt. Surge]]. Lt. Surge, another one of [[Team Rocket]]'s admins, throws Red and [[Poli]] overboard, only to trigger Poli's evolution into a {{p|Poliwrath}}, saving Red from drowning.

Later, Red enters a bike racing contest and uses his Pokémon to give him a good lead, until he and several of the racers are stopped dead by a {{p|Snorlax}}. By using his Bulbasaur covered in honey he catches the Snorlax and wins the race, however all of his prize money is spent to feed it. He then journeys into the Pokémon Tower in [[Lavender Town]] to rescue {{Adv|Blue}} who has mysteriously disappeared. He finds Blue possessed by a {{p|Gastly}} owned by [[Koga]]. Red then watches Blue defeat and slice Koga's {{p|Arbok}} in half, and gains some respect towards Blue.

Later, Red is scammed out of his money for fake items by a mischievous girl called {{adv|Green}}. He chases her down and gets his money back, only to realize that his first two badges, the {{badge|Boulder}} and the {{badge|Cascade}}, are gone. He then deduces that the stolen {{p|Squirtle}} mentioned by Professor Oak must have been taken by Green and evolved into {{p|Wartortle}}. Upon hearing some [[Team Rocket]] grunts mentioning her, Red infiltrates [[Team Rocket]] to see what they know about Green, and finds her surrounded by a group of Team Rocket members looking for a mysterious chip she stole, containing information about {{p|Mew}}. Even after everything {{Adv|Green}} did to him, Red saves her from Team Rocket. After that, the two of them go after Mew only to find that Team Rocket made it to it again, and Red has to stall them in order for Mew to get away. After this altercation, Green leaves, but not before leaving Red's badges entrusted in his pocket.

Red then accidentally gets his Pokémon swapped with {{Adv|Blue}} near [[Celadon City]]. When he tries to battle with them they refuse to obey him, but later he decides to play with them while Blue trains Red's Pokémon with more exotic and useful moves. Blue's Pokémon become more kind to Red and more lighthearted overall, something that greatly annoys Blue when he gets his Pokémon back.

Red then goes to [[Erika]] and challenges her, but she first requires that he proves himself by catching an {{p|Eevee}}. Eventually, with {{adv|Bill}}'s help, Red finds and catches [[Vee|a strange Eevee]] with the ability to swap between any of its evolved forms, due to a special device implemented in its ear. He then goes to find Erika and asks why Eevee is like this, and challenges her to a Gym battle. Erika easily defeats Red, and says that she will kill Eevee due to its deformity. Once Red uses [[Pika]] to protect Eevee, Erika reveals that it was simply a test and the real people that made Eevee like this were [[Team Rocket]].

Red next visits the {{ka|Safari Zone}} in [[Fuchsia City]], and although he isn't supposed to do anything except watch, he smuggles in a [[Poké Ball]] and catches a {{p|Nidoqueen}}, angering two {{p|Nidoking}} that were fighting over her. He manages to escape them but is then taken by a {{p|Victreebel}} to be eaten for an evolution ritual for the {{p|Bellsprout}} and {{p|Weepinbell}}. He gets away from them only to run into the Nidoking again, resulting in a fight between Nidoking and the Victreebel. Red uses this to catch both Pokémon, and catches many others before he is finally found by the Safari Zone Warden.

He then unknowingly helps Rocket boss {{adv|Giovanni}}, whom he believes is just a researcher, get some [[fossil]]s and get to [[Pewter City]] through [[Diglett's Cave]], only to see that Pewter Museum of Science is set ablaze by two {{p|Magmar}}. He battles the Magmar with Giovanni studying his moves. Giovanni eventually deduces Red is not a threat to Team Rocket since he lacks in cruelty, unfairness, and brutality. Red is then sent on his way, but not before Giovanni gives him an [[Old Amber]].

Wanting to reach the [[Seafoam Islands]], Red then goes to the bottom of a lake to retrieve the [[HM]] for {{m|Surf}}. He is instead confronted by a {{p|Dragonite}} and decides to use all of his other Pokémon to distract it, only to have their combined weight crush the HM and trap Red's leg under a rock. He is eventually rescued by [[Misty]], who appears and drives the Dragonite off with her {{TP|Misty|Starmie}} and [[Gyara]]dos. Misty then trades Red's {{p|Krabby}} for her Gyarados, who knows {{m|Surf}}. On Seafoam Islands, Red encounters Team Rocket again, who are searching for {{p|Articuno}}.

He then reaches [[Cinnabar Island]], spotting Team Rocket once more and secretly watching them battle [[Blaine]]'s Pokémon from the edge of a cliff. A member spots him and threatens to throw him off the cliff if he doesn't surrender. Blaine appears but with his Gyarados, and the two of them easily overpower the grunts until they reveal their secret weapon, a {{p|Moltres}}. The grunts disperse and Moltres gives chase to the two of them on Blaine's {{p|Rapidash}}. When nothing that they do works, Blaine spots Red's [[Old Amber]] and has him revive it as fast as he can. He gets it revived into an {{p|Aerodactyl}} and with that, he is able to drive Moltres away.

Later, when Red, {{Adv|Blue}}, and {{Adv|Green}} all fail to get into [[Saffron City]], Red goes to [[Pallet Town]] to ask for {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s advice, only to realize that there is nobody there except for [[Sabrina]] and her {{TP|Sabrina|Kadabra}}, masquerading as Oak. Sabrina, Team Rocket's third admin, then appears to him and pins him to the floor with her psychic powers, challenging him to go back to Saffron City. {{Adv|Blue}} then arrives and tells him that Saffron must be [[Team Rocket]]'s headquarters, and they find out that [[Vee]] is missing. Saffron City is protected from invasion by a large {{t|psychic}} barrier, so with some urging from {{Adv|Green}}, Red and Blue team up. With [[Pika]]'s {{m|Substitute}} and Blue's {{p|Golduck}}'s {{m|Confusion}}, the two of them locate the source of the {{m|barrier}}, Sabrina's {{p|Mr. Mime}}, and defeat it, allowing access to Saffron City.

After a trap door splits him up from Blue while inside [[Silph Co.]], Red runs into [[Lt. Surge]], who has been equipped with many gadgets involving electricity and {{type2|Electric}} Pokémon, powered by {{p|Zapdos}}. Red sends out [[Saur]] in defense and uses {{m|Razor Leaf}} to cut the electrical cords, causing Lt. Surge to get electrocuted. Red swipes the {{badge|Thunder}} from him as well as a pair of gloves, and finds [[Koga]] standing victorious over {{Adv|Blue}}. Red tries to stop Koga from killing Blue, but is restrained by Koga's {{p|Grimer}}. After a hard battle with the legendary {{p|Articuno}}, the same one that Red had saved earlier, the two boys defeat Koga. Red takes the {{badge|Soul}} from him, and the two split up once again.

He runs into the Badge Energy Amplifier room, where he meets {{Adv|Green}}, who hands him the {{badge|Marsh}} in exchange for his {{evostone|Moon Stone}}. Red fits his seven badges into the Amplifier and points it at his [[Pika]]chu, when Sabrina appears, and though he points it at Pikachu, the Amplifier does not work. Green then reveals that the two badges that she returned to him earlier were a fake, and escapes with the Amplifier, leaving Red to fight Sabrina. Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno are merged together when Green inserts the real badges in, creating [[Zapmolcuno|a new Pokémon]]. Combining their attacks, Red, Blue, and Green eventually defeat it.

Red then journeys back to [[Cerulean City]] to capture the "monster Pokémon", which turns out to be {{Adv|Mewtwo}}. After attempting to catch it, Red and his Pokémon are almost sucked into Mewtwo's {{m|Psywave}}. They are saved by [[Blaine]], and Red uses his whole team to fool Mewtwo and catch it with a [[Master Ball]] for Blaine.

Later, Red encounters {{adv|Yellow}} being attacked by a {{p|Dratini}} in [[Viridian Forest]]. He helps her catch a {{p|Rattata}} and explains how battling and catching Pokémon works. He takes her back to Viridian City and finds that Team Rocket has been releasing abused Pokémon into the Forest to make them stronger. He also learns that the Gym Leader there has been absent for a very long time. Entering the Gym, Red finally meets {{adv|Giovanni}} again, who reveals his true intentions behind the incident at Diglett's Cave. Giovanni then challenges Red with a catch: if Red loses he has to join Team Rocket. After a very intense and long battle, Red defeats Giovanni. He is offered to become the new [[Gym Leader]] of Viridian, but he first wishes to become a better trainer and goes off to the [[Indigo Plateau]].

With the badges he gained, Red is able to enter the Pokémon League, where he faces {{adv|Blue}} in the final match. Just as Oak notes how Blue has become more instinctual like Red, Red in turn has become more calm and is able to use knowledge as well as instinct. He defeats Blue and his {{TP|Blue|Charizard}} with [[Saur]] and emerges as the {{pkmn|Champion}} of the 9th Pokémon League competition. This makes him interesting to the [[Elite Four]], who are watching the battle from the side.

==={{chap|Yellow}}===
At the beginning of the second chapter, two years after the end of the previous chapter, Red receives an invitation to battle [[Bruno]] of the [[Elite Four]] at [[Mt. Moon]]. During the battle, Bruno stops to let several Diglett and Dugtrio pass and then Agatha uses her mind controlling powers over him to render him incapable of further battle. Red is then confronted by [[Lorelei]] and [[Agatha]], who want him to join them in their quest to wipe out humanity for the sake of Pokémon. They also want information about Giovanni so they can find the {{Badge|Earth}} to power the Badge Energy Amplifier that Agatha retrieved at the [[Silph Co.]] rubble. When he tells the truth, [[Lorelei]] freezes him in a block of ice, making everybody think that he has disappeared since nobody else had seen him for over a month. Only [[Pika]] escapes and makes it to {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s [[Professor Oak's Laboratory|laboratory]], where he teams up with {{adv|Yellow}}.

Red's frozen ice sculpture is found by [[Brock]] in [[Mt. Moon]], but Red is nowhere to be found. Even [[Bruno]], looking for Red so they could finish the battle that they started, can't trace him. As revealed at the end of the chapter, {{adv|Giovanni}} eventually rescued Red, enabling him to seek out his friends and help them fight the [[Elite Four]] on [[Cerise Island]]. Red arrives just in time to save {{adv|Bill}} and [[Lt. Surge]], finally finishing his battle with [[Bruno]].

Red is offered the newly open position of [[Viridian City]] [[Gym Leader]], and even though he passes the test easily, he has to turn it down due to injuries he suffered from being frozen. He is also asked to help {{Adv|Yellow}} deal with finding {{p|Lugia}} in [[Johto]], but also turns it down for the same reason. He learns from {{Adv|Blue}} where to heal his wounds and leaves to recuperate at the springs in [[Mt. Silver]] with [[Blue's Charizard]] and [[Blasty|Green's Blastoise]], where he meets [[Sabrina]], also there to heal the same injuries. Sabrina informs him of the Gym Leaders meeting in the Pokémon League, and he later arrives at the scene in time to save {{adv|Blue}}, [[Brock]], and [[Erika]] from a [[Magnet Train|train]] crash.

Red and Blue then travel underground with Blue's new {{p|Rhydon}} towards [[Ilex Forest]], where the villainous [[Masked Man]] headed. Along the way they meet [[Bruno]] and [[Koga]], two former enemies, who help them on their way and tell them about {{p|Celebi}}.

When they arrive at [[Ilex Forest]], Red, Blue, and the other main characters then team up with several [[legendary Pokémon]] to help fight the [[Masked Man]]. During the battle Red finally learns that {{adv|Yellow}} is a girl. At the end of the story, {{adv|Gold}} becomes impressed with Red and goes to train under him at Mt. Silver.

Red and Blue meet at {{adv|Professor Oak}}'s lab, where they find messages mysteriously asking them to leave their Pokédexes and head to [[Vermilion City]]. Once there, the two board the [[Seagallop Ferries|Seagallop Ferry]] to the [[Sevii Islands]], where they also find {{adv|Green}} being attacked by {{p|Deoxys}}. They are soon confronted by the new [[Team Rocket]] Admins, the [[The Three Beasts|Beast Warrior Trio]], as well as {{p|Deoxys}}, who is under control of Giovanni. As it turns out, {{adv|Professor Oak}} has been kidnapped by Team Rocket again.

Red undergoes special training under [[Kimberly]] on [[Boon Island]], where his [[Saur|Venusaur]] learns the legendary {{type2|Grass}} move {{m|Frenzy Plant}}. However, he is still defeated by Deoxys, who he shares a strange connection with. Red loses his confidence, but eventually regains the will to fight in order to understand the meaning of his connection to Deoxys.

{{Adv|Mewtwo}} shows up and offers to battle under Red's command to get revenge on Deoxys. The two arrive at the Team Rocket helicopter hovering above [[Viridian City]], where Giovanni is searching for his long-lost son. After a very long and fierce battle, Mewtwo manages to defeat Deoxys. However, victory is short as [[Carr]], one of the Beast Warrior Trio, rebels against Team Rocket and, after placing his {{p|Forretress}} all over the helicopter and ordering them to use {{m|Explosion}}, takes over the helicopter. While Deoxys transports everyone else aboard to safety, Red stays behind to defeat the Forretress and stop the aircraft from blowing up over [[Vermilion City]]. In the process, he discovers that Deoxys absorbed a sample of his blood when it broke free from Team Rocket's lab.

At the end of the chapter, Red is turned to stone along with the other main characters by [[Sird]]'s beam intended for Deoxys.

Red, along with Blue, Green, Silver, and Yellow, still statues, were transported in boxes on the [[S.S. Tidal]] by the other main characters to the {{Gdis|Battle Frontier|III}} for their salvation. For most of this chapter, Red, along with four other [[Pokédex holders]], remained frozen in stone. It was only towards the end of the chapter that he and the others were liberated by {{adv|Emerald}} with the help of the wish-granting [[legendary Pokémon]] {{p|Jirachi}}. Free again, Red and the others helped fight [[Guile Hideout]]. In the aftermath of the battle, Red and the other Pokédex Holders participated in the Battle Dome tournament, which ultimately concluded in Emerald claiming the Tactics Symbol.

:1. That is not true. Gold only has three Pokemon pages (and a fourth being made by me). In fact, Red has more than Gold with 5. 2. They aren't notable as the others. While they have done impressive feats, they haven't impacted the story as much as Poli (Red's first Pokemon, saved his life, used in many battles), Saur (Starter Pokemon received from Oak, used in many battles, story impact in the FRLG chapter), Pika (The whole stinking Yellow chapter, used in many battles, being the father of Gold's Pichu) and Vee (Huge story impact, interesting storyline). Heck, I think the third could very well be Ivory, as that's an organic stubstance that's considered to be a precious thing, much like pearls are. As for the diamonds, they're grouped with rubies, sapphires, and emeralds as the precious gemstones. Plus, if it were Ivory, it would relate to {{p|Arseus}} in its color, and not to mention, that Dialga and Palkia are said to be two halves of it. Nintendo is, as always, trying to screw with us. From all of the GS references in FRLG and DP, many think there'll be a remake of the second gen. But as long as it's unknown, there's no place for it on an encyclopedia of Pokémon. The same goes for the timeline relation between RBYGSC and RSEDP. Many THEORIZE that the three-year gap came into play once again, but there's very little concrete facts until we get an official English translation. The only thing we know for sure is that Nintendo's doing a third version. They've done it the past three generations, first time they didn't was FRLG, because some might expect an OceanBlue, and others might expect ThunderYellow. Or at least, that's my theory. :Your list and thinking that Pikachu is an odd choice to complement the first two versions is kinda wrong. Yellow is not the third version of Generation 1, it was a fourth, anime-based iteration. The original two versions and the third version all feature the fully evolved forms of the starters. Yellow then has Pikachu because that its version's starter (and, as I said, it's based on the anime). Just because the non-Japanese versions didn't have 4 doesn't mean that's how they were created. [[Green (Special)|Green]] as a character shouldn't even exist in the manga if you discount the original Japanese versions, and there's a reason the remakes of the original two are Fire Red and Leaf Green, not a Blue. As for the third version of Generation 4 being Opal (and thus Berlitz's given name)... I kinda doubt it. :::Note also that Ho-oh is related to the more gold-coloured Brass Tower, and Lugia to the Tin Tower. Just because Ho-oh is called to the Tin Tower by the Rainbow Wing doesn't make it Ho-oh's domain. Originally Lugia sat atop Tin, and Ho-oh atop Brass. There were two real towers on either side of a lake in Kyoto as well - and the Gold-leaved tower burnt down, like the Brass Tower. It also had a statue of the Houou bird atop it. The reason the anime get confused about two Tin Towers is because Ho-oh originally atop Brass Tower, and then moved to the Tin Tower ONLY when it was summoned there by the Rainbow Wing held by the GSC player. The Legendary Beasts were ultimately tied to the fate of the Twin Towers and the Silver and Gold Birds who sat upon those respective towers. Suicune happens to be the beast that is the most connected with purification, like Celebi, who was also the focus of Crystal (at least in the Japanese version), so it gets the place on the box.
::::That being said, I highly believe that Giratina will be the fourth version and Opal Berlitz be the full name of the new Special protagonist. However, that a non-Sinnoh-dex Pokémon will be the star of the version seems quite strange. But Giratina is most likely the version mascot. Cresselia and Amethyst fit as well with Dialga and Palkia, and regardless, it's still a non-Sinnoh-dex Pokémon. Arceus... I just can't see an event Pokémon as the mascot, because then the event would have to be built into the game, making the event in Diamond and Pearl lose meaning because you can just trade Arceus to your Diamond or Pearl versions after getting to that point in the third game. Plus, if the movies are any indication, Girantina will be fighting a huge war of gods in the 11th Movie, against Dialga and Palkia (and perhaps Regigigas as well), which seems to indicate his connection with the other two Dimensional Dragon Gods of Sinnoh. I just wonder how his story will be elaborated on. But I digress. As long as Giratina is the mascot of the third game, it will get a name like Opal or Girasol, and thus Berlitz will be Opal Berlitz. Cresselia on it's own has not enough personality to carry it's own game without darkrai and as stated above, having an event pokemon in the third game would be like a kick in the face to all those who got it the hard way. OK, so. I saw that the translation someone added (matching the thread posted above) was deleted by someone else on the grounds of "verifiability" (or lack thereof). However, there [http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/pok-mon/abyssal-ruins-method-of-translation/t.70619547/?_gaia_t_=3934 are a number of] [http://www.pokemongts.com/showthread.php?tid=86133 sources over the internet that translate the pillars] to say the same thing. Regardless of whether or not the same method of translation is being passed around the fact is it works; I myself have literally just gone into the ruins and used it to translate some of the pillars myself into alphabet characters that (when read in the correct direction i.e. right to left & bottom to top and pieced together, since the pillars are scattered about) also corresponds to the message everyone else has gotten. Do it yourself, if you don't believe me.
