== Error? ==
I had a quick comment, really. in one scene, a few of everyone's pokemon are out (pikachu, ekans, koffing, charmander, squirtle, bulbasaur, etc.) and they almost sink the boat. yet, when onix comes out, nothing happens. I actually did the math, and according to the weights of each pokemon that I found on this website, Onix (combined with humans) weighs almost twice as much as the other pokemon (and the humans). Shouldn't this be in the errors? Or should I just keep it in here?

I was just watching this episode today, and i read the article and it says in the trivia section that it is unknown how they knew who did not get off the boat. Is it possible that they questioned the passengers and the Magikarp Salesman said he did not see the kids he sold a magirkarp to, and that Gentleman or his wife could have said they did not see the kid that he traded with o his friends? I mean it would make sense to question the passengers.

:I don't have a solid answer to this, but I believe it's because many people believe he's an unoriginal character. The allegation has been that he is an Ash clone, and there is circumstantial evidence to support that, with the most obvious being that they catch the same types of Pokémon. Both have Pikachu, Butterfree, Charmander/Charmeleon, Taillow, and Ritchie has a Pupitar, while Ash temporarily took care of a Larvitar. Well, I was thinking about this randomly and the fact that the original versions of Pokémon were the Red and Green versions, along with Ritchie's outfit being ''green''... As we know, the opening scene of the first episode uses Red version's Nidorino vs. Gengar as opposed to Green/Blue version's Jigglypuff vs. Gengar, indicating Ash's journey as being the "Red version" (And hey, the name Ash actually comes from the Red version, if it came from Green/Blue he'd be ''Gary'') may indicate that the signifigance of Ritchie's green outfit is that he may be intended as the hero of the "Green version". The overwhelming majority of official materials (including ALL Books and Magazines, EToP manga, CC & Subtitles for most episodes and Pokemon.com) uses the spelling "Richie". "Ritchie" is seen in Pokemon Puzzle League (and allegedly Closed Captions for Chronicles but I'm not sure if that's true). I'd quicker believe that "Ritchie" is a mispelling done in PPL. I don't want to start an edit war. XD So i'm bringing it up here. His hair appears blue in the TCG artwork, but in the anime it's clearly periwinkle. I brought it up in photoshop, and it's directly between the blue and purple section of the color scale, leaning towards purple. There's been numerous debates on his hair color in the fandom, and no one can ever seem to come to a compromise. So i looked it up, asked various art teachers in my district, and they all said his hair doesn't fit into either category. So i looked up what color it is, and it's periwinkle. She, alongside [[Erika]], is the only Gym Leader to have been defeated in the anime by Ash out of sequence with the games.

Now I might be wrong, since some of the games let you defeat some gyms in any order you want, but doesn't Koga fit in there too? Because I'm pretty sure Koga is always the fifth gym leader battle in the games, but Ash fought him as his sixth gym battle. Ash fought Sabrina, then Erika, then Koga.
