Many evolution items have appeared in the anime. The first one to appear was the King's Rock in ''[[EP194|Ring Masters]]'', which {{Ash}} won in the [[Sumo Conference]] and {{an|Misty}}'s {{p|Poliwhirl}} later used to evolve itself into a {{TP|Misty|Politoed}} in ''[[EP247|Outrageous Fortunes]]''. Another King's Rock appeared in ''[[EP260|A Crowning Achievement]]'', which was found on a rock after the water level in the local river dropped dramatically; [[Alice Telesu|Alice]]'s {{p|Slowpoke}} used it to evolve into a {{p|Slowking}}.

A Deep Sea Scale and Deep Sea Tooth appeared in ''[[AG095|The Evolutionary War]]'' where the people in the [[A-B-C Islands]] were having an argument over which Pokémon was best, {{p|Gorebyss}} or {{p|Huntail}}.

A King's Rock, two Deep Sea Teeth, and two Deep Sea Scales appeared in ''[[AG112|Showdown At Linoone]]'' as some of the items {{DL|Kimmy Shoney|Tokin}} {{a|Pickup|picked up}}.

In ''[[DP038|One Big Happiny Family!]]'', {{an|Brock}} carved and made an Oval Stone for his newly born {{p|Happiny}}, which later helped her evolve into a {{TP|Brock|Chansey}} in ''[[DP190|The Brockster is In]]''.

In ''[[DP085|Fighting Fear with Fear!]]'', Ash got a Razor Fang from [[Gary Oak]] that he used to evolve his {{p|Gligar}} into a {{AP|Gliscor}}.
