Trivia
- Zigzagoon is the fifth lightest non-water type Pokémon to learn Surf by HM. Mew, Sentret, Dratini, and Azurill are lighter. Additionally, Zigzagoon is tied with Mew for the second shortest Pokémon to do this (next to Azurill).
- Zigzagoon is one of the two Pokémon left out of the Hoenn Pokérap, the other being Relicanth.
Origin
Considering its wire-like hair and coloring, it is probably based on a raccoon dog, a species of Asian canine that looks somewhat similar to raccoons, or the aforementioned Euroasian badger.
Name origin
Zigzagoon's name appears to be a combination of zigzag, referring to its fur pattern, and raccoon. Its Japanese name is a combination of zigzag and 洗い熊 araiguma, Euroasian badger.
In other languages
- German: Zigzachs
- French: Zigzaton
- Korean: 지그재구리 Zigzaguri - A combination of the word "zigzag" and neoguri which means "raccoon".
