Instead of Theme Decks centered around the main expansion, the Kalos Starter Set Decks (Chespin Deck, Fennekin Deck, Froakie Deck) were released alongside the Legendary Treasures expansion instead. Featuring the three Kalos region starter Pokémon, The Kalos Starter Set Decks are a trio of Theme Decks each with a regular version and a deluxe version. Released on November 8, 2013, each deck includes damage counters, a custom coin, a rule sheet, a deckbox featuring their respective Pokémon, and a code for the Pokémon Trading Card Game Online, allowing players to unlock the deck online. Another product released was the Sylveon Collection on November 15, 2013. This collection features the debut of the Intertwining Pokémon, Sylveon, in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Included in the box is a brand new Sylveon promotional card, a Sylveon figure, a single basic Fairy Energy, four booster packs from the Black & White Series, as well as Cosmos Holofoil promotional cards for Eevee, and each of the other 7 Eeveelutions. The eight reprints originate from a Japanese promotion in November 2012, in which the eight promotional cards were released in a special File Collection as part of the 2012 Pokémon Center Eevee Collection campaign. Eevee is a reprint from Plasma Freeze, while the 7 other Eeveelutions are reprints from Dark Explorers.

Kalos Starter Collection

Available starting in December 2013 were the Kalos Starter Collections. These collections were yet another option available to those looking for the Kalos Starter Set. Included in each Kalos Starter Collection is the 60 card Chespin Deck, Fennekin Deck, or Froakie Deck, a card checklist for the Kalos Starter Set, a coin featuring one of the three Kalos starter Pokémon, a 2-player playmat and rulesheet, 2 Black & White Series booster packs, a code card that unlocks the respective deck online, as well as one of the three Collector's Pins available in the Collector's Pin Three Pack Blisters. However, this variation of the Kalos Starter Set merchandise only has each Stage 2 Pokémon as a Sheen Holofoil card, instead of the entire evolutionary family of the Kalos starter Pokémon.

The sleeves came in packs of 65, and featured generic stock artwork by Ken Sugimori, the same artwork used for the Kalos Starter Deckboxes released alongside the sleeves.

XY Blisters

In addition to the XY Theme Decks, alongside the expansion on February 5, 2014, six different XY Blisters made their way to store shelves. The six different Blisters include pairs of Single Pack Blisters, Two Pack Blisters, and Three Pack Blisters, each featuring exclusive Cosmos Holofoil promotional cards and coin. The two Single Pack Blisters each feature one booster pack as well as a Cosmos Holofoil print of either Dragon Vault Salamence or Plasma Freeze Dragonite. The Two Pack Blisters, much like the Black & White Two Pack Blisters, each feature a trio of exclusive Cosmos Holofoil promotional cards. The first features Dark Explorers Venusaur, Boundaries Crossed Charizard, and Plasma Blast Blastoise, while the second features Dragon Vault Dragonite, and Dragons Exalted Garchomp and Hydreigon. The two Three Pack Blisters feature Cosmos Holofoil prints of either Dragons Exalted Gyarados or Plasma Storm Gallade. The print of Blastoise erroneously lists the copyright as ©2012, even though the Plasma Blast expansion was released in 2013 and the Blister Packs in 2014. This was corrected when the 6 promotional cards were printed again eight months later in the XY Knock Out Collection.

For the initial release of the expansion and Blister Packs, the Gyarados and Gallade Three Pack Blisters were not available in North America and were only available internationally. It wasn't until their inclusion on PokémonCenter.com in August 2014 that prompted their distribution to the North American market.

Upon first release, all the coins included within the Blister Packs were repackaged coins primarily from Noble Victories to Dark Explorers related merchandise. Included within shipments of later packages, however, were new coins exclusive to these Blister Packs. Included in the shipment of Garchomp-EX Boxes were Single Pack Blisters containing newer large-sized coins. A limited release of Black-backed versions of the Xerneas and Yveltal coins included in the XY Theme Decks were distributed exclusively to Target stores, while a large-sized Black-backed Pikachu coin was distributed to every store that sells these Blister Packs (including Target). The Two Pack Blisters also received an additional shipment, included this time with the Flashfire expansion products, that included a Large-sized, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil, Black-backed Deoxys Coin within the Kanto starter evolution Blister Pack and a Large-sized, Silver Cracked Ice Holofoil, Black-backed Genesect Coin within the Dragon-type Blister Pack.

XY brings the third installment of the Elite Trainer Box. Released alongside the XY Theme Decks and Blisters, the Elite Trainer Box comes in two varieties: one featuring Xerneas and one featuring Yveltal. In addition to the same contents as the Plasma Blast Elite Trainer Box, the XY Elite Trainer Box adds Fairy Energy into the stock of basic Energy. Each Box also contains 65 themed card sleeves, 2 acrylic Special Condition markers, 6 dice as damage counters, 1 large die for coin flips, 4 dividers, the XY Player's Guide detailing the XY expansion, and a collector's box.

Being skipped for the Flashfire expansion, a trio of Mega Evolution themed Pin Blisters were released in July 2014 to celebrate Mega Charizard and Mega Lucario, the featured Pokémon for the two nearby sets, Flashfire and Furious Fists. Originally planned for August 2014, the Blisters were originally going to contain three booster packs from each of the three XY expansions, but with the release date pushed forward to July, Furious Fists was not yet released, causing two Flashfire packs to be included instead. As the name suggests, three different Three Pack Blisters were released including a pin of either Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, or Mega Lucario.
