Wigglytuff is a non-player character in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2. He is the Guild Master of the Wigglytuff Guild and also a former member of the legendary Master Rank rescue team Team Charm. His assistant is Chatot.
He acts very easy going and somewhat naive but has an explosive temper, which the entire Guild knows and fears, leading Team Skull to severely underestimate him. Despite his childish behavior, Wigglytuff is an accomplished explorer and helps the team discover the mystery behind the Relic Fragment and the Hidden Land, he is also extremely powerful, proving able to withstand Team Skull's 'Noxious Gas Combo', which easily knocked out the player's team, and then easily defeated Team Skull single handed. He also became rather serious when the Guild was asked to help capture Grovyle. After the credits roll, he also appears under the guise of "the grand master of all things bad", a "foe" who the player must overcome, along with his "minions" (the rest of the Guild members except Bidoof), to claim the treasure in Luminous Spring in order to graduate from the Guild.
Wigglytuff has an obsession with Perfect Apples, and is known for crying out loud if he doesn't have one, something everyone in the Guild fears, Chatot in particular. This obsession showed when he planted one at Luminous Spring as the 'treasure' for the player's graduation exam, which the player comments fits Wigglytuff pretty well. He is also long time friends with Chatot; they explored Brine Cave several years before and Chatot took an attack from Kabutops and the Omastar Brothers to protect him.
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, there is an extra episode that details the reasons as to why Wigglytuff, who at the time is a Igglybuff, becomes a explorer. Igglybuff has three childhood friends; Smoochum, Wooper, and Budew. In this episode, it is revealed that the outlaw Armaldo (who Igglybuff affectionately refers to as "Master," and Wigglytuff still does) taught Igglybuff all about exploring, and gave him his Defend Globe which Wigglytuff treasures to this day.
