Vertical Cut is a ???-type move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team that inflicts damage in four directions. This move is sometimes seen as an enhanced version of Horizontal Cut.
The TM that teaches this move is not obtainable in-game, thus the move can only be obtained by use of cheating devices. However, no Pokémon can learn this move, so the TM is useless.
The TM was removed in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness. It is unknown whether the Vertical Cut move is still in that game's code or has been removed entirely.
