Vertical Cut is a typeless move introduced in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon that inflicts damage in four directions. This move is sometimes seen as an enhanced version of Horizontal Cut.
The technical machine item that teaches this move was left out of the released version of the game, thus the move can only be obtained by use of cheating devices. Additionally, the machine doesn't appear in the game code for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2.
It is unknown whether the Vertical Cut move is still in that game's code or has been removed entirely.
