Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Werdnae!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • Read over the style primer before making your edits. It is a basic outline of Bulbapedia style. For a more in-depth set of rules, see the manual of style.
  • Keep an eye on the Messages from the Editor on the main page, to stay informed on current events on Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The é can be accessed by holding Alt and typing either 130 or 0233 on a Windows computer, and by using Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can easily click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a capital B. The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
  • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded. To activate your account at the Archives and Bulbanews, please login there using the same username and password you use here on Bulbapedia.
  • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Werdnae/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
  • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! ----PAK Man Talk 05:45, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Plurals

Hi. I couldn't hep but notice that you seem to have reverted my edits on Aron because I was using the plural tense when a group of that Pokémon was mentioned. Um, when referring to a group of things, you use plurals. I did that because the article didn't.

May I ask why you reverted? - unsigned comment from Noname4you (talkcontribs)

It's because, there's no plural form for Pokémon species. Ҝəυzø8 10:37, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Image Redirection

*Apologies. I failed to notice your message at the top* ASecondOpinion1501 19:26, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Hey, no worries. That is mainly just referring to when I post a comment on another user's talk page. Sometimes you see one user's comments under a section header on the other's talk page, and the other user posts all their comments on the first user's talk page, so there is only half of the conversation on each page, making it harder to follow. When referring to talk pages for mainspace pages it doesn't matter so much (in my opinion), as the conversation at least tends to stay in chunks.
In response to your question, I'm not sure, but for the wiki you replace the page with "#redirect [[page name]]" (without quotes) Werdnae (talk) 21:02, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Dr. Footstep

I really appreciate your help compiling the list of responses! One thing, though - could you double-check Rotom? It seems we have it in the 'Tough, Footprints' category, while Rotom doesn't have footprints, which seems a little strange. Just wanted to check if was a mistake or an oddity of the game. Thanks again! Bikini Miltank 12:02, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

Oops, sorry, I made a mistake. Rotom definitely has no footprints. Having a quick look through the list and it seems that is the only mistake. I think it was the way I recorded them before editing your page all in one go. I recorded them as Pokémon: Category, F/NF, so I must have missed the N when I put Rotom in. Italics Help

Oh, I see; thank you for that help. I was trying to use HTML tags to get the words italicized. Dark Boye 21:44, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Pastoria City

Hey, I'm not sure what was wrong with the way the rival boxes were aligned because I put it up in different resolutions to see the difference. It only stretches if you open all 3 of the boxes, which I doubt someone will do since most likely you only need to see the one that corresponds to your starter Pokémon. This same type of alignment is being used in the walkthroughs as well, as most people agreed that it looked better and saved time scrolling down. -- Jello 20:08, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I'll change it back then. I think the reason I did that is because I forgot that the were hidden by default, and it takes about 45 seconds to actually hide them for me at the moment, since my internet has been slowed to Dial-up speed. You're right, it would look better when they are side by side. Werdnae (talk) 20:24, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

Standard

I know it's minor and all, but can you make it (it being {{FA Infobox}} usage) so it's the same standard as the other infoboxes? As in, not all jumbled up in one section... I know it outputs the same way, but that's how we do it... not a rule per se, but tradition is the word I'm looking for. ht14 22:58, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay, sure. I'll go through and change them all. Werdnae (talk) 23:05, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
You don't have to (unless you finished all the FA's already). ht14 23:09, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
Pretty much. It's no trouble though. The only FA still to do is Legendary Island. I think we'll need to change the template for that slightly, as it can be obtained by recruiting any one of the Legendary Birds. Werdnae (talk) 23:13, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Hey

Thanks for catching that. I hadn't noticed the brown, since 4 of my team are neutral natured. R.A. Hunter Blade 21:15, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. None of my team are neutral natured, but I checked on all of them anyway since it seems a bit counter-intuitive. Werdnae (talk) 21:21, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

On a similar note thank you for your fixing the other part of that vandal's edits on Sky Attack, I have already informed Darktrom about this and since this is a single purpose vandal this used will probably get an indefinite block. -Tyler53841 02:25, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

"The sprites are on the pages. People can SEE that."

By that logic the physiology sections ought to go too. Very poor reason for removal, that. Drake Clawfang 19:54, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

It's not my decision, it's the admins'. They say that there shouldn't be any sprite trivia. The problem with trivia like that is it becomes trivia for the sake of trivia, and the page ends up a list of trivia about every minute detail about the sprites. Personally, I agree with your assesment of the physiology section, that it should be removed, but you'll need to take it up with an admin. Werdnae (talk) 20:02, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
If there isn't supposed to be sprite trivia...why is there still? Drake Clawfang 20:03, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
We're not supposed to kill every single sprite trivia. Only the extremely picky ones, or the ones relating to color between Gen II and Gens III & IV. If it's something really huge, such as big differences between the sprites and official art/anime art, then we keep it. At least that's what I was told 2 months back or so. R.A. Hunter Blade 20:45, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
My appologies. I'd just seen that it had been removed before, and hadn't really read into it too much, since I'm at Uni at the moment. Werdnae (talk) 20:57, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, 2 months ago I and a few other users went on a sprite trivia killing spree and were told not to. R.A. Hunter Blade 21:07, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
Like, you can't write trivia comparing Larvitar's Gen II sprite and his GenIV's.-- Gagaromamah 15:18, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

LUGIA IS A WATER TYPE

Why wouldn't it be? It's moves are almost all water moves, and it's the guardian of the sea for crying out loud!!! It lives in the water!!! It barely uses psychic moves!!!!!!!! I've never seen it use a flying move!!!! LugiaLover 00:15, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Because it is resistant to Grass-type moves. If it was Water/Psychic it would be weak to them, and if it was Water/Flying it would be neutral to them. It isn't what it looks like that counts, it's what is in the game data. The game data says it isn't a water type, so it isn't. Werdnae (talk) 00:25, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
For being a Lugia lover you sure don't know much about it. Kids these days. Oy. TTEchidna 00:31, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Well it has water moves, so it's a water type. And why do water types have to be weak to grass types? Why do grass types have the upper hand? Grass doesn't really hurt water? I guess it takes the water, but still. I know most water types are weak to grass, but why do they all have to be? I know that Pokémon don't always follow their type's weakness and resistance, and I just exited the page on Magnemite and that doesn't follow Electric or Steel weakness or resistance. LugiaLover 00:59, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
We know by easily seen game data that it's not a Water-type. Very easily seen. CuboneKing 01:02, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Well in the TCG it's mostly water type, and in the anime it's water type, and in the games almost every single one of its moves is water type. Face it, it's a water type.- unsigned comment from LugiaLover (talkcontribs)
Yes and Totodile has dark and normal moves, but it is not dark or normal-type. You will find that Magnemite follows the weaknesses but it combines the weaknesses and resistances so that some will be amplified and others will be nullified. This is an encyclopaedia and so we don't put in what should be true. We only put in what is true.--Beligaronia (talk) 01:04, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Check your game, look at its summary, it says Psychic right there. Face it, it's a Psychic-type. 8( ▫▫ティナ 01:05, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
LugiaLover, please do not get so distressed that Lugia is not a water-type that you forget your signature. 梅子 01:06, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

And...how does Magnemite not follow weaknesses and resistances? And your logic is completely wrong. So just because a Pokémon can learn a move, it is that type? Then every Pokémon would be part Normal because of Hyper Beam and whatnot. — AxxonntheAwesometrainer 01:08, 14 May 2010 (UTC) img000560.jpg

TAH FREAKIN' DAH. TTEchidna 01:11, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Look I know that it says it's Psychic/Flying but if it doesn't have any flying moves, how is it flying? I just e-mailed the official Pokémon website so I can get a real answer. And I only forgot my signature because I'm busy doing other things. LugiaLover 01:16, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Aeroblast? Signature move? Duh? ▫▫ティナ 01:20, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
(conflicted) It does have flying moves. If you love Lugia, how can you forget about its signature move, Aeroblast?? And there's Fly, Sky Attack, Air Cutter, Aerial Ace... I could go on. CuboneKing 01:22, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
It's signature move is Hydro Blast. Also, wait about two minutes. LugiaLover 01:26, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
I believe you mean Aeroblast...--Psyライダー 01:27, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Lol, where'd Hydro Blast come from? The TCG? Also, the Mailbag feature has been discontinued, so don't expect a response. Ever. CuboneKing 01:28, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
Hydro Blast isn't a move. If you mean Hydro Pump, yeah, and? Bagon can have it, too. Hell, Rhydon can learn Surf. Moves don't make the type, but type does often determine what moves you can have. TTEchidna 01:30, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Response from User:Pokey

Thanks for your comment. I'm sending the response here and not on my talk page because I cannot edit that.

I figured that this would be the case, that Amity Square's item list would not merit its own template, but I was lazy to do it manually and the existing table is a huge mess. It depends on rowspan for its layout, which depends on the number of items in the list (correct me if I'm wrong), so maintaining the list will be a huge pain. My template will use nested tables, which won't need updating as the number of items in each list changes.

However, should the template be subject to deletion once its finished, it can be substituted on the Amity Square page and deleted with minimal effort. I have nearly emulated the table, so it won't take long now. -- Pokey 07:37, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

If you can edit my talk page you should be able to edit yours, so I don't know what's up there. Please do keep working on the 'template' in the sandbox, the existing table does need upgrading. And it is better that you're doing it in the sandbox, rather than on the page itself, as that lets you test things without breaking the page. Werdnae (talk) 07:44, 30 June 2010 (UTC)

Help

How many pages do I need to edit in order to get permission to make my own userpage? Buddy999 04:19, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I don't know the exact number, the EB won't tell anyone. What I can tell you is that you need to have been a user for a certain ammount of time, and make a certain ammount of mainspace edits before you can edit the userspace. Werdnae (talk) 09:55, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

My Region Infobox

Hey Werdnae, could you please do me favour and do that fancy show/hide thing on every category on my region infobox except for "intro", "professor", "starter" and "team", please? I've made a test here and the infobox needs to work for the Ranger regions as well, and they only require those sections.
And also, to not show them, would I type something like parameter=no to not show them? Cheers and thanks. たかはり 09:09, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Done. To hide the sections just leave the parameter out completely. If it is there but left blank I think it still includes the section. I've removed the defaults, so now it will hide unless the information is there. I've also changed your sandbox page so that it has one for Kanto, as it is now different from the default, and so that it hides those sections. Werdnae (talk) 09:55, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Perfect! Thank you so much! I think they're just about ready. たかはり 10:48, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Diamond Pearl Volkner.png
Why is not a yellow hair color admitted? Is this a blond hair? Sawamular101 00:04, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

In drawings and anime Blond hair is normally drawn as yellow. As such, it is normally marked as blond instead of yellow. Particularly when it has a bit of brown in it, such as this case, which may be considered "Dirty Blond". Werdnae (talk) 00:09, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

It is your guess. Why isn't it good that yellow is described in parallel? Sawamular101 00:13, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

"Blond hair" and "yellow hair" is basically the same thing, but the term "yellow hair" is not often used in English. "Blond hair" is a more natural-sounding term. 梅子 00:16, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
OK . It understood. Thank you for the explanation. Sawamular101 00:19, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey again

I'm the you helped with the signature (although it was pretty evident). Anyways, I was looking at your user page, SO COOL!!How do you do that? Can you tell me? Or at least tell me how to do those boxy things these are confusing8D! TTYL. Bye for Now! :-P-- Gagaromamah 10:45, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

The things on the side are Usertags inside a collapsible table to keep them on the right side. The collapsible table can be replaced by <div class="userbox"> (Insert usertags here) </div> for simplicity if you like. For the colours and other more complicated stuff, I'd suggest copying the code to your userpage, preview it to make sure it's all there, remove something, and see what changes. That way you can learn what the coding does so you can get it just how you want it. Just remember to keep previewing until it looks exactly how you want it, so you only need to save the page once, and to keep the Userspace policy in mind. Werdnae (talk) 20:33, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

My Game Infobox template

Hi there, Werdnae. Could you please take a look at my attempt at redesigning the game infobox template? The talk page there has some tests I (and Takharii) have performed with the template. ^_^ And there's actually something I need help with... It's with the ratings and release dates sections. I've inserted the #if: command for the Korean ratings and dates as to make it optional, but when I attempt to insert Korean data in my test examples, that part is ignored and no Korean data shows up. =X ポケモンあいこうか 14:07, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

I've fixed it. The if statement needs three different sections: the parameter (which you had), what to display if it isn't empty, and what to display. Since you just had the parameter, there was nothing for it to display when the parameter was there.
I've asked a few other admins about it, and we think it looks pretty good. TTE says to reduce the size and collapse the internal borders. I can do that if you like. Just let me know. Werdnae (talk) 21:28, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Ty for the help and I appreciate that it pleased you guys and gals. xD
I've shortened it (width from 30% to 25%, boxart is now 250px) and TTE said he would take care of collapsing the internal borders. ポケモンあいこうか 22:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Werdnae, can I ask once more for your help? I'm trying to make the internal borders in the Links section collapse but to no avail. Also, I want to put the Japanese boxart an optional paramater, both itself and its 2nd and 3rd entries. Some feedback on how that section itself could be organized would be very much appreciated. =D ポケモンあいこうか 22:23, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
From what I can tell, The internal borders you're speaking of are actually collapsed, but you hadn't put individual side borders on the cells as dividers. I've done that. As for the japanese boxart layout, I think having it collapsed like that is a good idea. I'll run it past the others and see what they think, although I'd say that the third boxart definitely needs to disappear when not required, the others it's probably a good idea. Werdnae (talk) 22:51, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Thx for all of your help. =) Oh, and about the Japanese boxarts, the 2nd one should also disappear when not applicable, for the sake of third versions and single games. ;D ポケモンあいこうか 22:57, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
I need your help into fixing the Japanese boxart sub-template, it currently is broken and when a pic is pointed, it sends out an "unrecognized word" error. Also, I need your help into making that sub-template optional as well as the 2nd and 3rd boxarts. ポケモンあいこうか 17:47, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
I think that must have been because the {{{jbox}}} parameter was being used for two different purposes.
  1. For the number of different boxes
  2. For the location of the first boxart image
So when it was used to call the image, it broke the maths, as it was trying to use a string as a number, and when used as a number it didn't call the image. I've switched it to using straight ifs, instead of ifexprs, using just the parameters that were there. So {{{jbox}}} is the first art, {{{jbox2}}} is the second one and {{{jbox3}}} is the third one. Only the ones that are used are shown, and if none are used (If, for example, we don't have the English boxart yet, and so the jap boxart is up the top) the whole lot disappears. Werdnae (talk) 20:45, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you very much, I appreciate it. =) ポケモンあいこうか 22:57, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Name Speculation, Possible Ability?: User:NoMoreHeroes488

It's me again, I just had a thought after seein the new Pokemon, Koromori. In Japan, the words "komori uta" mean lullaby in English, and when taking out the "ro" in Koromori's name, it says "Komori". Does this mean that Koromori will have some type of abillity or move related to the sleep condition? I just felt this was interesting to know.

Thank you for reading this; NoMoreHeroes488

It's possible, but Dogasu said on the forums that it is likely based on the "bat" meaning of komori. I'd suggest asking in the thread about it on the forums, where you'll likely get a better response. Werdnae (talk) 20:20, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

J is currently presumed dead. That is only because we didn't actually see her dead body, and no-one stated it as a fact. Her cracked glasses were seen floating out of the explosion which consumed her airship. Besides, the way the trivia is worded shows that it hasn't been confirmed that she is dead, just that it is very likely. Werdnae (talk) 22:24, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

Simple quesion

Hey Werdnae, do you know how to undo multiple edits at once? Thanks. たかはり 07:33, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

I do. There's a special function called "rollback", which reverts all edits by a single user to the last version that someone else saved, but I'm afraid it's admin only, so you'll need to do it manually. It also doesn't allow edit summaries, which is why there's never any extra information. Werdnae (talk) 07:44, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
So I just have to undo each revision one at a time? たかはり 07:53, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
I don't think it lets you undo changes if the page has been edited since. Probably the easiest way would be to go to the last diff before they edited it, click 'edit this page', ignore the warning that you are editing an old version of the page, and hit save page. Werdnae (talk) 20:37, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks for the tips =D たかはり 09:09, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

While I understand your reasoning, the issue I see is that the B doesn't appear in 1rkhachatryan, so it makes the reflection unclear. Could I suggest maybe 1RK or something similar? Werdnae (talk) 01:06, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

I understand what you are saying but it is my nickname and i don't see what the problem is with one letter. I really fail to see how this is hurting anything.1rkhachatryan 01:16, 18 July 2010 (UTC) Oh and i just took a look at the signature guidlines and it states that the signature must reflect the username in full or part of it which mine does so i feel that my signature is fine.1rkhachatryan 01:21, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Slash

Hi werdnae I wanted to run somethin by you

In the episode "just add water" Ash commanded his totodile to use slash yet it is not in his move list and it is not an error because it is not listed as such in the errors for this episode. I was just wondering if you add it into the moves list because i don't know how too?RBK 01:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Done. Have a look at what I did if you want to learn how to do it yourself. Werdnae (talk) 02:43, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks man i appreciate it.RBK 19:54, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry.

Ok, got it, although I left a suggestion on its talkpage, besides, I didn't see that permission thing anywhere, so I thought that, as I do it O.K., it wouldn't be a bother, lol, the only messages I get at my talkpage are warnings :P. Masatoshi: Gen. II>All. Discuss. 20:52, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I'm not sure if it's explicitly stated anywhere, it's just we would rather we knew what the edit was and stuff before it's done. Especially on high-use templates, as editing them causes server stress as it is updated everywhere it is used, so we'd rather know that the edit was going to be an improvement so that we don't then have to edit it again. It was good that you tested it first though, that's just what we would have got you to do anyway. Werdnae (talk) 21:16, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Template:Song

Hi, sorry if I disturb you, but I'd like you to take a look at here, can you please change it to the original template in here? The changes are not big, it's just fixed in order to be seen by every browser. Thanks. Masatoshi: Gen. II>All. Discuss. 22:32, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Hey, just thought I'd let you know, if you're changing something to use roundy, then you don't really need to ask for that. It's only for major edits that would affect the template that you should ask permission for. Jello 22:42, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Japanese Episodes

Hi Werdnae I was wondering if you could tell me what time the jap. episodes air but in U.S. time? I mean like what time in the U.S. will we know when the ep. airs?RBK 01:23, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

The admins that live in North America say it's between 3 and 6 AM, depending on where you live in the US. Werdnae (talk) 02:29, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Templates for Pokémon Pages

Hi, I wanted to make a draft page for one of the new Pokémon that was just revealed on Oha Suta, but it seems like there are a lot of templates used... I don't have any experience working with templates. Is there a page that lists what templates are used on Pokémon pages, or should I just copy the information from one of the other Pokémon pages and make the necessary changes to it? Thanks for your help.--PhantomJunkie 08:52, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Use {{NewPokémon}}. Remember to follow the instructions on the talk page and don't categorise, except for the "New Pokémon" category, which that template adds by default, until it's mainspaced. And preferably don't edit it too much, we're a bit more lenient for mainspacable content, but not much more. Werdnae (talk) 09:00, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you! So far I've just made the page user:phantomjunkie/Mamanbou (Pokémon). I don't know where to go for images and such, and no other information has been released yet.--PhantomJunkie 09:13, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
For the image just leave the full image location (make sure you preview it. I can't remember whether the "File:" is included automatically) as File:<name>.png Once we get some decent art it can then be uploaded to the archives under that name. Werdnae (talk) 09:47, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello Werdnae

Hello Werdnae,

I am a new user of Bulbapedia. I am very excited about finally getting to contribute to this amazing database about my most favorite game and anime ever, Pokemon. I have literally probably spent hundreds of hours of my life over the years playing the games and watching the anime. My question for you is this: I have edited a few minor things and such on articles, but I want to be more involved. How can I contribute and help out more? I decided to ask you because you were on my talk page, and because you are a junior administrator, and seemed like a good person to ask. Thank you very much in advance for your kind advice.

--JediKnightDTV 22:44, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Welcome. For getting more involved, just keep making good edits. There are also two areas which you could look at, Category:Articles needing improvement and Special:WantedPages. Finally, to avoid unintentionally linking to a disambig page, use link templates where possible. I hope you enjoy your time here. Werdnae (talk) 22:55, 22 July 2010 (UTC)
Hello Werdnae, it's me again. I have a few of questions for you. I thought that I would ask you since you were so nice and helpful last time, and I am still (sort-of) new. I am slowly learning about wiki-coding, but there are a couple of things that I do not get. First of all, how do I create a sandbox? I would love to have a sandbox to play around in with stuff. Also, I assume that I could edit my sandbox as many times a day as I wanted, since it does not count as my userpage? Finally, how do I create an infobox template? I would much rather have my usertags like that, so that I could edit them all at once, rather than only one section at a time? Thank you so much again in advance for your kind help. --JediKnightDTV 17:07, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Jediknightdtv, maybe I can help you out since Werdnae doesn't appear to be on. You can make a sandbox by creating a new page at User:Jediknightdtv/Sandbox. However, it will be in your userspace, so it will count toward your three edits per day. If you are working on something that will eventually be put into the mainspace, like a new template, then you can go over the three edits for it, but you should still try not to go overboard with editing in a single day.
As far as your usertags go, you can put them all into one box by using <div class="userbox"> at the beginning of your usertags, and </div> at the end. This will put all of your usertags into a nice neat box on the right-hand side of your userpage (as you can see on my userpage here), and you can further arrange them from there. You will be able to edit all of them at once if you choose to edit the whole page, which is found as a green tab at the very top of the page. That way you don't have to edit individual sections. This is true on any page that can be edited; if a page can't be edited, it will say "view source" instead, which will show you the coding on that page without you being able to change any of it.
I hope this has answered your questions! If you have any more questions, and Werdnae or another admin isn't around, feel free to ask me. I should be able to help you out or point you in the direction of someone who is online that can help you. PhantomJunkie 18:22, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Phantomjunkie. Jediknightdtv, the userbox class is the simplest way to do it, but if you want it to collapse or be colourful then you'll need to use a table instead. If you want to, copy the coding for mine to a page somewhere, pick something that you don't know what it does and delete it, then preview the page. You should then be able to tell what that bit of code you deleted does, since it won't be there on the preview. That's how I learnt to use wikicode. Aside from that, follow what Phantomjunkie said. Everything she said is exactly right. Werdnae (talk) 20:26, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Guten Abend, lieber Werdnae! (Good evening, dear Werdnae!)

Hello Werdnae or whatever (^^), I'm MetaMence, also known as "Pikaman" at PokéWiki. I am from Germany so my... No, maybe I write something wrong or I make grammatical mistakes or something like this. And my question is: When can I edit my page?!? At PokéWiki, my page is the longest at the Wiki, and here it doesn't exist (or something like this... You know what I mean?)... Please answer my question quick/fast, I know the Wiki-Syntax a little bit, and please: Try to use simple words;) My english is not the best and I'm just 12... Wait... Look at this: 386.png Pikaman 386a.png Was 386b.png willst 386c.png du? Well, I think that this shows that I know the Wiki-Syntax;) ("Was willst du?" means "What do you want?" or something.) So, I hope that you can answer my question and read this peace of grammatical mistakes and: Ich hoffe auf eine schnelle Antwort! Bis bald, MetaMence questions?

Hi MetaMence, Werd doesn't seem to be available right now so I hope I can answer your question. In order to create your user page, you have to make a certain number of edits to the mainspace (any Bulbapedia article) and wait some time. Keep editing and you will get to edit your user page soon enough. I hope that helps and you are able to understand what I have said. Jello 21:42, 25 July 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for the fast answer and: yes, I understood! (*everyone is wondering*) "A certain number of edits"... That's a very detailful (is that word correct?) answer;) I hope I can count my edits: 56, 57, Yaay, what comes after 57? The certain number! Cool. "How many edits do you have?" "I have a certain number of edits. What about you?" "No! I have only 50!" But I don't wanna say everything. Just thanks and how much the famous "certain number means;) --Prost! MetaMence MetaMence Wow! In Germany it is 00:07, but the 26 July! THAT'S late. And I'm sorry if I sound a bit... I don't find the word... unpolite or something:D
The idea for not saying an exact number is that it will prevent people making just that number of mainspace edits (i.e. to pages without a prefix) and then over-editing the userspace, and also encourages new users to learn to make constructive edits. And the signature timestamps all use the server time, i.e. UTC, rather than local time. (And I'm ahead of you. I'm currently at UTC + 12, so you made that comment at just after 10am on the 26th for me. Not that it matters really.) Werdnae (talk) 02:52, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Just so you guys know, it's not just edits. It's also a certain amount of time. A proving grounds, if you will. Since his account's not three days old even, it'll be a little bit before he can make his userpage. TTEchidna 23:11, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Bibarel

Hi! I have the original volumes and these shows the official romanized names of the Pokémon that are in the chapter titles. Here's a picture of Bibarel's japanese name: dscf2322q.jpg - unsigned comment from Emerald Sohma (talkcontribs)

Umm . . . we'll get back to you on that one. The history of the page says that Beadull was the trademarked romanisation, but the other admins can't find an actual entry in a trademark database. Most other sites seem to be using Beadull though, so it must have come from somewhere. Werdnae (talk) 02:52, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Template help

Hi Werdnae, I was wondering if you could use your magical template coding skills to help me out. I'm making an "Current Events" template, this is what I have so far:

Event Start End Location Need
004 Birthday Charmander Jul. 20 Jul. 19 Japan DPPtHGSS
390 Birthday Chimchar Sept. 12 Sept. 11 Japan DPPtHGSS
133 VGC 2010 Eevee May 8 Aug. 15 USA HGSS
243 Crown Raikou Jun. 18 Aug. 31 Japan DPPtHGSS
244 Crown Entei Japan DPPtHGSS
245 Crown Suicune Japan DPPtHGSS

So, do you think you would be able to help me:

Thank you so much! たかはり 01:32, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

More template help

Hi Werdnae, could you possibly help me out? I'm trying to make my new template work, but as you can see, I've messed something up (as shown here) Could you possibly fix it for me? Mum's yelling at me so I don't have time to fix it. I'm still learning how the "switch" thing works. Thank you so much (again)! たかはり 10:28, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Fixed. Your switches worked perfectly, you just forgot to change the {{{6|Grass}}} to {{{4|Grass}}}. That's alright though, everyone makes mistakes. Werdnae (talk) 20:29, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

ZORUA ZORUA WTF

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Zorua_(Pok%C3%A9mon)#In_the_anime Since the movie premiered, this should be edited but I can't do anything HELP -- Gagaromamah, Your Little Monster 13:32, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

I've changed it to past tense. I don't know enough about the movie to write about what it did, but if someone could that information would be useful. Werdnae (talk) 20:29, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
And now that Sol's reminded me of the Zorua (movie 13) article, I've written up a short paragraph. It could still do with improvement though. Werdnae (talk) 21:50, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
We could also need Zaoroark (Or however you spell that) (Movie 13)-- Gagaromamah, Your Little Monster 07:55, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah. . . That really needs someone who's seen the movie. I don't know enough about it to make it. Not to mention that while I can edit protected pages, I can't create them, so I can't do it anyway. You'll need to ask a full admin or, preferably, create it in your userspace, and then ask a full admin to move it into the mainspace. Werdnae (talk) 09:39, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Do you know any full admins?-- Gagaromamah, Your Little Monster 10:53, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

PMD TMs

I saw your suggestion to the TM/HM template lacked PMD info, so I compiled a page for you to reference. There's no clear/set pattern, so research needs to be done. ht14 22:04, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Great. I'll add to it if and when I can. Thanks. Werdnae (talk) 22:30, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

DP186

Hi Werdnae, if you look on Ash's Staraptor's page at it's involvement in the battle doesn't it sound weird? like the way its posted? I'm not really sure but it doesn't sound right but when I changed it someone put it back. I don't want to be accused of edit warring again thats why I'm coming to you. Can you take a look at it?RBK 01:23, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for asking rather than getting into an edit war. I've made a change to it, so it should be better. In general we want about a paragraph for important battles like that, so if it is worded wrong it is better to try and fix it than remove it, since for many of the users here English isn't their first language, especially in relation to things like that, which come from the Japanese anime. Werdnae (talk) 03:40, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Ok thanks for fixing it. I also changed a few words so that it sounded a little better plus there were spelling errors so I fixed those too.RBK 04:38, 7 August 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Donphan

Hey Werdnae, I was just on Ash's Donphan's page and it said it was confirmed to be male. I don't remember it being confirmed male so can you take a look at it? Thanks.RBK 06:36, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Ok I'm not sure if you fixed it or someone else but thanks if you did. Also thanks for fixing Heracross's too. sorry forgot to sign.RBK 06:42, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

No problem. Ataro fixed Donphan, I had to go afk before I could do anything about it, so I'm glad to see it got taken care of. Thanks for brining stuff like this up. Werdnae (talk) 06:58, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Question

When something is being done in the userspace to improve the mainspace, such as creating/improving a template, the userspace policy on number of edits per day still has to be followed, right?--PhantomJunkie 21:49, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Within reason. Admins are a bit more lenient if it is future mainspacable stuff such as template tests, and if you make plenty of mainspace edits and few personal userspace edits. Although I probably did go a bit over the top yesterday. In other words, if you're doing something like improving a template, we won't mind if you make, say, five or six, but you'd likely still get in trouble if you made twenty. Werdnae (talk) 22:03, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I just wanted to make sure. Because I gave someone a warning earlier after making a total of 22 userspace edits to templates today, and they have made five more since then. --PhantomJunkie 22:05, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
I'm not trying to be a tattletale, but that person has made at least 15 more edits to their usersubpages since my warning earlier today. And when I gave the warning, they got snippy with me, so I think a junior admin or admin should handle it from now on.--PhantomJunkie 23:08, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I think I'll leave it to a higher-up. He has a point, changes like that to templates normally can't be previewed, so . . . Yeah. Werdnae (talk) 23:49, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Infernape

Hi Werdnae, I was wondering, In DP187 Infernape did that combo move with dig and flare blitz. Should this be put into the moves improvised section?RBK 01:44, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Um. . . maybe. If it was an actual combo, i.e. it used a digging Flare Blitz, then yes. But if it just used dig to get behind it (or something) to take it off guard when it then used Flare Blitz then probably not. I don't watch the Japanese anime, and I'm way behind on the English one, so I'll have to assume it's the former, in which case I'd say go ahead. Werdnae (talk) 02:29, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Infernape used dig and then while he was underground he used flare blitz, heating up the whole field and turning it red. This resulted in a giant eruption of fire that caused the whole field to be covered in mist which stopped ninjask's agility attack. That's what happened which is why I think it is a improvised move. Also I was wondering if maybe you could add it when you have time? just because Im not sure how to add it myself.RBK 02:41, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Done. It'd be nice if you could check over it, given that you've actually seen it. Werdnae (talk) 06:06, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Thanks man I just looked at it and it looks great.RBK 22:02, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

not sure...

Zekasaur and Bulbakrom seems like a duplicate account... Ataro 08:55, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

It would seem so. I've asked someone to run an IP check. In future, it'd be best if you ask a full admin. Junior admins can neither check user IPs nor block users. Thanks for bringing it up somewhere though. Werdnae (talk) 09:01, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

I've realized a possible loophole on this rule [1]. Koolboyman 11:23, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

new guy

Hi, I just created (another) acc on a wikipedia, I do it most time to add information on basically any page I find (or correct stuff) and I dont see how/if I can edit a common pokemon article, I was wanting to add in Pokabu's article that, just like torchic, he is the second fire starter without any part of his body on fire (and until now, no mentions of fire on him via pokedex/anime) any aswer I would appreciate, I hope I can help with this wiki :3 - unsigned comment from Karu (talkcontribs)

Hi Karu. The reason you cannot edit Pokabu's article is because it is protected, meaning that only administrators can edit it. Also, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). Thanks! たかはり 04:32, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
I'd just like to note that we have rather strict notability requirements for trivia, to prevent pages from becoming flooded with it. Because of that, I don't think that it is notable trivia, as it is two out of only five Pokémon. It's good to hear that you are trying to improve Bulbapedia, and I look forward to working with you.
Also, You seemed to sign with (most of) my signature. As Takharii has mentioned using four tildes will provide your own signature, which you can edit in your preferences. If you'd like some help with that just ask. Werdnae (talk) 05:07, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

New User

Dear Werdnae, I am Simiabraz101 and I would like to apologize for some of the superfluous edits and other mistakes that I have done. As a new and thus inexperienced user, I tried to point out stuff that wasn’t exactly interesting, and I think I tried to do too much in one day. I am really sorry for adding trivia that was really not notable and for the other mistakes that I made.

As a new user, I had a few questions to ask. My reason for joining Bulbapedia is my love of the anime series, and also because I really am interested in Pokémon Black and White (despite the fact that I can’t read Japanese). What would you suggest that I should do to help Bulbapedia? Also, could you please clarify what constitutes “notable trivia”? Sincerely, Simiabraz101. 01:33, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

For the Anime, if you can, then there are quite a few episodes that could do with an improvement to their Synopsis. Otherwise, there are some stubs, many of which need improvement. Just be aware that the episode stubs are normally only there because they are missing a synopsis. For help on writing a synopsis, there are some general guidelines which you might find useful here.
For the trivia, it can be a little subjective, but in general if the group which it is out of is less than about ten, there are more than three Pokémon that fit it, or it requires an "except", then it isn't notable. If you aren't sure whether trivia is notable, then ask about it on the talk page.
I hope that helps. Welcome to Bulbapedia, and I hope you have a good time here. Werdnae (talk) 01:56, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
Your suggestions definitely have helped. Thanks so much for your advice, Werdnae! -Simiabraz101, 02:11, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Pokemon

Hey Werdnae I was looking at Ash's pokemon's pages and noticed that the Sinnoh section's and Sinnoh League section's were all deleted from the pokemon that appeared in Sinnoh. I was just wondering if there was a reason for this or if someone just decided to delete it? I thought that those sections made the articles look better and neater.RBK 05:55, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

As far as I can tell it's just someone matching them to all the other Pokémon which appear in multiple regions. Personally, Looking at it with and without, there isn't any real reason for them to be there. Yes, it breaks it up, but the actual text doesn't change. Maybe ask Kenji-girl about it? She's the leader of Project Anime, so it's ultimately up to her. Werdnae (talk) 06:39, 12 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, that'll be useful. Werdnae (talk) 06:55, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
the problem is that the gen4 and gn5 sprites are not animated ... have you an source to get the ANIs? --Hanmac 07:05, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
No, I don't. Still, having a still sprite is better than not having one at all once the spritebox gets upgraded. Werdnae (talk) 07:08, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

TMtable

Is that horrible looking green supposed to be there? It looks really bad when the template is based on the moves' type colors, and I do believe it should be changed. MaverickNate 17:33, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

It's the TM bag pocket colour at the moment. Change it if you think there's something more appropriate. Werdnae (talk) 19:05, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

re:Preview button

Yes, yes I know. I've used wikias before, I'm a bureaucrat at one, I know the deal. sorry though, it's just that I missed a few mistakes. Won't happen again. =p EmptyStar 17:06, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

It's alright. We tend to give people a friendly reminder, just because some people don't even see the button. And for the record, we aren't a wikia. Werdnae (talk) 19:12, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Hey Werdnae

How's it goin? I wanted to thank you for that bit of advice on Takharii's talk page. Worked like a charm! Anyway, thanks again!--JediKnightDTV 21:43, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

Just a quick question. How do I delete a page? Can I do it myself, or is it something that only an admin can do? The reason that I ask is that I was thinking that I didn't need one of my sandboxes anymore (the one with the Usertags, here). Thanks again for all of the help.--JediKnightDTV 21:48, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
It's admin only. Just slap a {{delete}} on a page you want deleted.--Cold (talk) 21:50, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
You're welcome for the help. Deleting. . . what Cold said. It's full admin only (I can't do it myself), but they generally get to it pretty quick if you stick a delete tag on it. Werdnae (talk) 01:47, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey Werdnae, just another quick question. The welcome box that everyone gets put on their talk page when they come on Bulbapedia, is that supposed to be an admin power only, or can anyone do it? Just curious, as I have seen people who are not admins doing it. Thanks again. --JediKnightDTV 18:29, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Anyone can do it. Just put {{subst:welcome}} on the page. The template even includes your signature automatically. Werdnae (talk) 18:33, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Another quick question, Werdnae. I noticed that when I was posting the welcome box on a couple of new user's pages, they were almost exactly alike, and thought it might have been the same user creating a sock puppet, which I know is a no-no. Thought you could take care of it, as a junior admin, or at least know someone who could. The users are here and here. Thanks and see you around. --JediKnightDTV 01:57, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
I can't really, it takes a full admin to block, but I've asked one to do it. It looks to me like a typo upon sign-up. If you notice that in future, it's probably better if you don't welcome the typo one, it makes it slightly easier for the admin. If you don't notice until after you hit save then don't worry about it. Other than that you've done it right. Thanks for letting us know, and good job with the welcoming you've been doing. Werdnae (talk) 02:08, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
How are you supposed to be able to tell which one is the typo and which one they want to keep, though? I mean, some are easier than others to tell on, but...You are right though, I didn't notice until after I hit save (comes from doing too many at once, I think:). --JediKnightDTV 02:18, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
If you can't tell which one is the typo then just do what you want with it. (Generally the second account created is the non-typo one). And yeah, copypasting is by far the most efficient way of welcoming. Werdnae (talk) 02:25, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Ash's Mijumaru

Hi Werdnae!! I was just curious as to why Mijumaru's page is a candidate for protection? As far as I can tell there haven't been any previews that showed something happen to it.RBK 18:31, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

I think it's because people keep unhiding Shell Blade in the moves section. Werdnae (talk) 18:35, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

On ok that makes sense. Thanks for telling me!!RBK 21:44, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Just a quick question

I was just wondering, how do you get extra pages on your account like user:werdnae/sandbox for example. --Bee § Bwakka♂ (meh talk) 19:37, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Just type in 'User:BeeBwakka/whatever you want to name your page' in the URL and you should be able to create it. Jellotalk 19:43, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I actually thought that might be the case but I didn't wanna accidentally create a page that wouldn't serve that purpose. --Bee § Bwakka♂ (meh talk) 21:46, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

Chansey too?

Hey Werdnae. Did you happen to notice if Chansey had an English nickname as well? Thanks for putting up images for the manga, too. I think it's really awesome how you have images right away, lol. Littlmiget123 01:57, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Chansey doesn't have a nickname in the flashback in PS077. I'm scanning the move images from my copies of volumes 1-7 (VIZ kids Edition), using this category, as well as a few I happen to have seen. A few of them I'd already uploaded for the Pokémon's page, which made it even quicker. Moves appear in that category when they have that manga template, but don't have an image, so thanks for adding the move templates, it's a great help. Werdnae (talk) 02:08, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations are in order, I see...

...from checking the staff page, I mean. Anyway, I can't believe that I am the first one to congratulate you (well, on your talkpage anyway) on your promotion to full Admin status. Thank you so much for all of the help that you have given to me and to so many other users around the 'pedia, and for all of the hard work that you do. You earned it, and it is well deserved, my friend. --JediKnightDTV 00:52, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Give me a shout if you need anything done. Werdnae (talk) 01:11, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

User Page

Hey Werdnae it says I can finally create my own user page but I have no idea how so I was wondering if you could give me a hand and maybe some pointers?? I would really appreciate it. Oh I almost forgot lol, congratulations on becoming an admin man you deserve it :).RBK 06:37, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks :) A basic box for usertags can be created with <div class="userbox"> usertags </div>. Alternatively you can have a look at what I've got on my page. Just copy the code, cut a piece out and then preview. Check what breaks, and then you know what that code does. Usertag information can be found here. Good luck. Werdnae (talk) 07:25, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry but what do you mean by cutting a piece out?? I really don't know any of this code stuff so please break it down for me. I copied the code but I don't know what to do after that.RBK 07:38, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Start to edit your page and paste the code there, and then use the Highlight-Ctrl + X 'cut' to remove the code but keep it on your clipboard so that you can put it back in once you've previewed. Then you can repeat it with something else. Werdnae (talk) 07:49, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to but in on this as a random user but, how do you create original usertags? For instance, I have a Deoxys, but don't like the speed forme particularly, which is used in the pre-made tag it seems. How can I make my own and switch the sprite.--QX Deoxys 16:36, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

For that specific one you don't have to. I've added some explanation to the template's page. Most templates are set up so that you can change the image by putting the file name in as the first parameter. For example if you wanted the Attack forme Deoxys you would put {{User Deoxys|Spr 4d 386A}} on your page. The other formes can all be selected in a similar manner with details now on the template page. If nothing is specified then it rotates through the formes based on the day of the week (server time. Sat and Sun are Speed, Mon and Fri are Defense, Tue and Thu are Attack and Wed is Normal).
If there is something that you wish to create a tag for, the easiest way to do it would be to create it as a subpage in your userspace (i.e. create it at User:QX Deoxys/Whatever) and copy the code from an existing tag. Remove the categories at the end and then edit it to your heart's content. If you don't know what something does, remove the code, preview, and watch what breaks. Once you are happy with it, save the page, and then you can include it on your page by putting {{User:QX Deoxys/Whatever}} on your page. Werdnae (talk) 20:24, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

PokéPark Pictures

Hey, I was thinking of uploading pictures I've taken during game play of PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure and put them on the various Zone pages and just wanted to check them with you before doing so. Here's the image I took of the Cavern Zone for an example. All images have that copyright at the bottom of it and have Pikachu facing the camera. Think they're acceptable? Jo The Marten 06:15, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Yes, that's good. It would be preferred if you upload the images in png format, so if you could convert them that would be great. Thank you for doing such a great job on those articles. Werdnae (talk) 06:38, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Sure, that won't be a problem. And thanks, I was happy to help out. Jo The Marten 06:41, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright, all the images I took have been uploaded and placed on their respective pages. Lemme know if there's anything else I can do to help. I was considering putting the Pokémon descriptions from the PokéPark Pad on the pages of the Pokémon that are in-game. Jo The Marten 07:34, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
That sounds like a good idea to me. I can add a section to the Sidegame data template on the pages for it. What kind of information is there for them in the game? Descriptions, Is there a specific befriend rate for each species? or maybe a 'talking' sprite like in the Mystery Dungeon games? Werdnae (talk) 07:57, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
No, not really. It just has the Pokémon's PokéPark number and sorta gives a short bio of that Pokémon's personality in the game and what attractions they're good at. Example using Bulbasaur's bio: "Bulbasaur is the Attraction Chief of Bulbasaur's Daring Dash in the Meadow Zone. So, even though it is forbidden, he may allow you to play on it." There is an icon of the Pokémon's face similar to what MD did but I'm not able to get screenshots of them with the in-game camera. Jo The Marten 08:04, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I'll work on getting a space in there to put it. If you want to you could make a subpage in your userspace to list them in the meantime, but otherwise just leave it for now. Good work. Werdnae (talk) 08:43, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Okay, sorry it took so long to get back to you. I was busy with real life stuff yesterday. I've made a Photobucket account for the screenshots of the Pokémon I've taken. Some I'm happy with, some I think I could do better, but I'll let you ultimately decide. Here's the gallery. All images are already pngs and the file names are consistent. Lemme know what you think. :) Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 01:06, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

I think they look good. If you aren't happy with some of them you can always upload a new version if/when you get a better one. Werdnae (talk) 06:27, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey Werd, a quick question

I am trying to help a new user format their userpage the way that they want it, because they are having a tough time with it. I asked him for permission to edit his page, and he gave it to me, mostly because he is having a tough time with the wikicode. Is it kosher with the rules around here for me to edit in his userspace, since he has used up his three edits for today? Just wanted to ask before I hit the save button. --JediKnightDTV 01:06, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind, Nate got back to me. Thanks anyway though. --JediKnightDTV 01:33, 9 November 2010 (UTC)
