By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Trap icons.

They were taken from Explorers or Rescue? It might be a good idea to check if some didn't change between games. Marked +-+-+ (talk) 15:12, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

Like it pretty much says in the description on the images that I uploaded, they're from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. —Platinum Lucario (talk) 15:44, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

Second person

I believe quite a few of your edits include either "you", "your", or another second person noun. Please fix them as the second person is unencyclopediac, and replace them with words such as "the player". Thank you! --Abcboy (talk) 03:20, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

By what you described, hurricane is basically heavy rain. Eridanus (talk) 08:26, 31 May 2014 (UTC) PS. IIRC, Thunderstorm is basically heavy rain with lightning. Eridanus (talk) 08:26, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

Yep, a hurricane is basically heavy rain with huge wind of course. As what is seen on Route 7 in Pokémon Black Version after obtaining the Legend Badge. —Platinum Lucario (talk) 13:43, 31 May 2014 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Tyler53841 (talk) 16:41, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Templates must be approved by staff before they can be placed in the template namespace and used on pages. First create a template in your userspace (so it should be at "User:Platinum Lucario/<template name>") and then ask a staff member for approval. The staff will then approve/reject your template, and only if approved may it be used in the mainspace. Do not just create a template in the template namespace (where it would be at "Template:<template name>"). Thank you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 16:15, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Ah okay, thank you so much for letting me know. I'll keep that in mind in future. In the meantime, I might as well work on improving the template even further before submitting it for approval.—Platinum Lucario (talk) 16:19, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

On WiiWare

They seem to be basing certain aspects on Sky, since they actually have Lookalike items. If you go through the existing articles of their dungeons, you'll find listing of traps that I've found on my trips. Eridanus (talk) 19:49, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

It seems like it too, the only difference mainly is the item appearances. I know the seeds all have different colours, depending on the type. Like Blast Seed is coloured black and so on. As well as the berries have the same appearance as the main series games.
Scarves also have different models. There's also at least one item exclusive to it which works like a party-wide Max Elixir. Eridanus (talk) 13:47, 14 April 2016 (UTC)
I'm trying to dwelve down into it's data too. Apparently I've managed with extracting the .wad files with a program called ShowMiiWads, as well as extracting the contents from the .app files. But there seems to be a .bin inside that is compressed in a different format.—Platinum Lucario (talk) 21:14, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

DungeonItem footer

I'd like to ask you to stop "updating" the dungeon item lists. You completely changed the footer, and we don't really use footers like that. AFAIK it was working as it was, or a single fix to the template would have been better than you going through and touching every page it's on. Tiddlywinks (talk) 18:12, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Okay, thank you. I'll keep that in mind in future. I'm not a very good programmer, but I'm willing to learn. - unsigned comment from Platinum Lucario (talkcontribs)

Moves in Mystery Dungeon series

Good afternoon Platinum Lucario, i'm DJMFan from Poképédia, the french branch of Encyclopaediae Pokémonis. Since you helped us with the upload of dungeon tiles and seem to know a lot from gates to infinity, i'd like to ask if you were to know the value of power and accuracy of the Moves in the game because they're not easy to read. Sorry if i did any mistake
DJMFan (talk) 13:55, 23 August 2016 (UTC)

Hello DJMFan! It's great that you've asked about the power and accuracy of the moves in the Mystery Dungeon series, 'cause that certainly is something that I have to research in the game's code. I'm sure the values of the power and accuracy of moves are different from the main series games. But I will look into it when I eventually get around to it. I'm aware that the Move values in the Mystery Dungeon games are displayed as a bar graph (or stars in earlier games), instead of numbers. Which I totally agree, it does make it hard to know how much power, accuracy or PP is within a Move. —Platinum Lucario (talk) 01:01, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for the answer. Don't worry for the DS/GBA games cause i've already found the power and accuracy of the moves in these games. I'm currently filling Poképédia pages but i need time since our templates were not adapted for the series. Still, i am not able to find out the 3DS ones (GTI an SMD) and thus, we can't reach an agreement in order to know if we'll do a "Mystery Dungeon clause" for the moves or if we won't because we lack information.
If you'd like to know more about it just ask me here or on Poképédia. I will also try to keep Bulbapedia up-to-date in the "Mystery Dungeon field" but i think it will take some time before i get to the templates which are quite different from the one i'm used to... Once again thanks for all. Hope you'll understand everything DJMFan (talk) 12:56, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
I'm glad to hear that the GBA/DS ones are known. And not to worry, I will look into the data of every move in GTI and SMD. Also, I've discovered in GTI that there's many unused moves (such as Secret Sword and Dive) in which do nothing at all, since they have no script linked to them. I'll also list the unused moves as well, while I document their names, power, accuracy and PP. There's even three moves in GTI in which are called "Kanji UNUSED icon.pngUNUSED" and have no in-game info linked to them (and will crash the game if the moves are hacked in and tried to view the in-game info via the menu), despite them actually being used by Bittercold during the battle against it, but what I know about them so far is that all three of Bittercold's moves have 99 PP. But I certainly will look into all the moves and document every info I can get, I'll start with GTI, then SMD afterwards.—Platinum Lucario (talk) 13:50, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
One of our administrators found this about SMD.
Since i do not own the game, it's hard for me to check this out but i think it is trustworthy. DJMFan (talk) 10:05, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
That would be a good source for SMD. But I'm pretty sure GTI's moves will be different in terms of power, accuracy and PP, though. But I will check both games and see what the data in the game's code will show.—Platinum Lucario (talk) 14:07, 31 August 2016 (UTC)
