By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! -- ✔Pokégeek✔ 11:16, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry, what preview button? - unsigned comment from MrAkmalDanish (talkcontribs)

Preview button (Show preview) is right next to the save page button -- ✔Pokégeek✔ 11:29, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Signing and resigning

After you've left a message, you're not allowed to sign, or re-sign your posts. That is because the time stamp on the signature is vital for keeping track of when a message was sent. If you resign a comment, it makes it look like the message was sent much later than it actually was. I hope this makes sense to you, so please stop signing long after you've already posted your message. You can, however, post {{unsigned|MrAkmalDanish}} after messages you forgot to sign if you'd like. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 11:58, 24 January 2012 (UTC)

Okay....but, by doing that, I won't be able to sign my comments and get it linked to my page. - unsigned comment from MrAkmalDanish (talkcontribs)

The unsigned template will still link to your page. But you only need it if you forget to sign. If you're really worried, just remember to sign all the time. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 12:05, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
